One of the top beers I've had in the yummy sour category

A new favorite beer. This place was awesome and their milkshake beers are to die for. Definitely a hit for the girls in the yard. Lol or for us the girls on a bike tour on the nice bike path. I even stopped at a small liquor store in Albany to buy some to bring home so good.

Love this new-ish Brewery! Visited the other day with a friend and has 2 beers and some yummy flavored pretzels. The location is so cool! An old police station turned into this brewery. The beer selection is great. I tried one of the hazy IPA's and another one. I can't remember the names of them, but they don't disappoint!

A pleasant surprise! I was passing through the town & looking for a quick stop after a bike ride on the the Wobegon Trail. The atmosphere is inviting and fun... great variety of music, lots of natural light, many tables filled with conversation and laughter. The staff was super friendly and warm, making sure I got a great beer. A garage door opened & it looked like a band was setting up outside for a show- wish I would've stayed to see! The long list of options made me think there would be lots of average beer. I was wrong. I had the 'Hook Rye and Sinker' saison off of the bartenders recommendation, it was fresh and flavorful. Next, I tried the 'Lemon Fresh' which went down a little TOO easily! Both were delicious and smooth. Note- While they don't serve food, you can order delivery from local restaurants in the area. I'm sure locals love this gem, and I would recommend to anyone passing through on I-94. Really great.

Okay, so over a year ago we stopped at Bad Habit and fell in love with the place. We don't get to St Joseph very often, but found ourselves close enough today to take another side trip back to Bad Habit. As Siri was taking me into town I was confused as to where she was taking me as this wasn't where we were before... turns out Bad Habit has built a new brewery/taproom!!! That was a pleasant surprise and we really liked the feel and decor of the new place. Not to mention the friendly staff and the delicious beers! Beer selection was extensive and from the selection of traditional beers, hazy, sour and even a seltzer (get it, it was amazing), you'll definitely find something that caters to your palate. Definitely going back more frequently!

I have been to the old and new location of this awesome brewery. I will say the loved the old location better. I don't really get the upgrade. The new location was smaller then I expected for a move but, does look nice and modern. They pride themselves on being a small town brewery with world class beer. I believe that to be true. The beer is just really good. If I were to base this review alone on just the beer then it would be five stars. The first time I went to bad habit was in their smaller location around the corner. We met some amazing people who were so prideful in their home town brewery. We were blown away with the beer we tried. I remember loving the 100 in the Shade which was a tropical double IPA and the Trend Setter which was a Strawberry Brut IPA that is beyond amazing. The vibe in the small tap room was happiness and pride. The larger tap room is great. They have more tables and space and a better section for merchandise. It was definitely harder to order here as the tables are tight to the bar and the order here area is right in the middle. This made for a huge mess and unorganized line of people. We waiting 5 minutes our first time and 40 minutes our second time in that line. My favorite beer on this visit was hands down the Pau Hana. This Tropical Milkshake IPA was fruity, vanilla and so creamy. I could drink this all day if the ABV wasn't so high. Its just such a great beer bursting with flavor and smoothness at the same time. I also really enjoyed their Beer by the Foot and the Jolly Melon. I wish the Jolly Melon was a little more in your face Jolly Rancher style. It was more mellow then I expected for the name. The Beer by the Foot nailed that fruit by the foot flavor. I really did not care for the Hangup or the Red Beeron. The Red IPA was lacking the bitterness I would expect it and was more sweet and caramelly. Is it weird to say it was almost too balanced. I want that bitterness...at least for me and the crew I was with it was agreed. The hangup was their blonde ale which it was. It just was light and crisp... Not a bad beer but just not for me. I also really enjoyed the Habutial IPA which was just a really great solid IPA, the Peanut Butter Dark Addiction, and the Polar Espresso. Now here is what makes me most bummed. They sell crowlers, they sell growlers but they were all the same. The growlers were available for very limited beers. It seems like the Bennie Ale , Hangup, and habitual were the only choices for growlers. The crowlers they had available were the Red Beeron, Dark Addiction, Espresso, and one other one. I know they say they are a small town local brewery. I would like to take some of the beer I enjoyed home, and maybe they are not interested but, I thought that was disappointing that I couldn't take a growler/crowler of Pau Hana. I know they do smaller batches and are constantly changing the beer list but, It should be even better that we want to take these home. Our friends wanted to get the Beer by the Foot. I assume this one is extremely limited most likely but, if someone enjoys it and wants to buy it and take it then let them. What's the point of having off sale if you are going to be so limited about what beers people are able to take. I get wanting to have people come in and enjoy the experience but, Id like to take some of that experience home with me. Should you go to this brewery? 100% yes! The beer is amazing!!! Five stars for the beer but Four stars for the taproom experience. I do wish everyone would have gotten to experience the old location but, am so happy they are growing and expanding. Now please share your beer with more of the state!

Visited Bad Habit for the first time during a special event last night. Bad Habit has a nice, comfortable feel to it. It's a place where you could join family and friends for some excellent craft beer, games, and order in or bring in food from down the street or around the corner at Sliced, Gary's Pizza, Bo Diddley's, La Playette, The Local Blend or elsewhere. The brewery has a nice view of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the Chapel at St. Ben's. The beverages are great. If you can't decide, order a flight. Don't overlook their homemade root beer. It's excellent as well. They're open Thursday-Sunday. Check on the hours to be sure they're open.

A stop at Bad Habit Brewing is always a treat. One of my favorite in Central Minnesota, they've got something for everyone -- a regular rotation of IPAs, lagers, stouts, sours and even seltzers. Everything Bad Habit brews is fantastic; their milk chocolate stout Dark Addiction is one of the best I've come across. Their taproom -- an expansion from the original space just around the corner -- is a beautiful space with much more room and patio space than the original. I'd be shocked if you had a negative experience here.

I went here on Friday night after wanting to check out this place for months. It was a lot smaller then I imagined it to be but my friends and I were able to find a table. Like most breweries, their beer menu is written on a chalkboard above the bar. They had about 10 beers on tap including their 3 typical beers in rotation. We opted for the flight was great to be able to try a variety of beers. Since it was a Friday during Lent, they had a fish fry going on and some guy came around taking orders and eventually it was delivered to your table. You are able to buy bottles of beer inside too and you can even get some pizza delivered to your table. I liked the beers I tried, my favorite being the blackberry. They had some pretty crazy stouts in the menu including a chocolate milkshake and another coconut one. I'm not a fan of stouts but I tried the chocolate one and didn't like it. Overall a fun place worth checking out!

Awesome place with excellent, affordable beers. Did I mention they come fully stocked with games?! Dice, battleship, cribbage, trivia, etc. It's clear what Bad Habit is trying to do is turn their space into your living room, while serving you great beer. Though they don't have a kitchen, they've partnered with local eateries to deliver food straight to your seat. They also have admirable merchandise available. I mentioned several times during my first visit that I can't wait to come back. One of St. Joe's finest gems, right here.

This was cute place, right off the main strip! I love the name! The atmosphere is warm and inviting!

We were here on a Saturday at about 8pm. Had the root beer and dark addiction loved them both. Seems really chill and relaxed. Great place to come have a drink. Outside patio as well for a nice summer night.

Saint Joe just added to its fun list of pubs and eateries. A Bad Habit indeed!

I'm looking to check out a new brewery on my way to Msp and this one looks great! Can anyone tell me if there is outdoor seating and if it's pet friendly?

There is an outdoor patio, and I think it is pet friendly, but may be limited to outside.

The venue and location are absolutely beautiful and quite quaint. They have a few year-round options that you can't go wrong with, but I love trying their rotating and experimental options the most. You can tell the love and care they put into the product. They typically will have some sort of charcuterie option, and those are a must. I've never had a better apple than here, and it makes sense. The cheese offerings are always delicious as well. In my experience, the service is top tier as well. The kind where they offer suggestions and have conversations with you. Must stop!

We prefer dry wines and dark beers & that the hubs likes his IPAs. She suggested we try the 2 specific ciders the 1 for me based on my wine preferences & the 1 for the hubs based on his love of IPAs. She nailed it. They were both good choices and we each preferred the one she recommended for us, individually. We did sample a sweeter option and, nope, still no go.

No problem, we ended up waiting, maybe 15 minutes to get a table. There were 4 of us. That wasn't an issue and the staff was great. We got seated at our table and our waiter, I believe his name was Benjamin, was awesome. Great guy, didn't pressure us to order right away. Gave us time to look and would check in on us. All around great service. He was a 5 star! Even the atmosphere, with it being busy, was what you would expect. A lot of people talking and having a good time, no problems, no issues. We were kind of set back in the corner, which I'm thankful for, because we didn't have the noise from the Brunch area. The reason for the 3 stars is because of the food. With 4 people being served, you would think they would get the fries right? They were over seasoned on everyone's plate, horribly over seasoned. You might as well have been dipping them straight into the container of whatever seasoning was on them. Of the 4 orders of French fries, we left 2 orders on the table. I ordered the Gastro Pub Bison Burger, medium. Benjamin even started it was going to have some pink in the middle, and I said yes. The ticket even stated it. I don't know why they even put it on the ticket if they're going to cook it done. The burger ended up being over cooked and dry. It was a Bison burger, so there's plenty of moisture in those burgers when cooked to medium. This thing comes out as a little nothing sized burger. I wasn't impressed with it at all. My wife's order, Spinach and Artichoke Chicken Sandwich, came out good and she ate it all and really enjoyed it. One daughter had ordered a Buffalo Chicken Wrap. She's had them before at other places and was excited to try their's. Came out ok except for the, what she stated as being too spicy. And again, the fries were over seasoned. My other daughter order a Spicy Dill Flatbread, which turned out really good. She was the only one of us who did like the over seasoned fries. Now when it comes to food, I never send anything back and i don't say anything because we might not be done with ordering. I have the biggest fear about retaliation. You hear the stories from someone you know, of possibly something being a little sketchy when food is reordered or it comes back out, so I just don't do it. I have been here before and it is pretty much the same as I remember it. The staff being great, but the food just being not worth it. The funny thing is it's the Chef's name is on the door when you come in the building. If I was him, I'd be a little embarrassed that his cooking staff can't do a medium burger and do some retraining. At least watch what the cooking staff is doing while preparing food that his name is associated with. I don't need to go back there and eat.
