Westside is great because of their selection. If you're looking for more obscure wine, beer, liquor, they're likely to have it here. If you have questions about your adult beverage needs, they also have knowledgeable and helpful staff who are more than happy to answer your questions and serve you. The last time I went, I had a guy come up to me within 30 seconds of entering the store to ask if I needed help finding something. I do find the store a bit difficult to navigate and find what I'm looking for sometimes, but just ask. They're happy to direct you to whatever you're seeking. The prices here are reasonable. I have found better prices elsewhere for certain wines, but generally speaking, they try to be competitive here, unless you're looking for really obscure items. read more

If your looking for good wine, beer, or spirits you do not have to go far in the Saint Cloud/Waite Park area. This place has it all. A huge selection that rivals many a California store. And the prices aren't bad either. read more

Westside is easily the best liquor store in St Cloud, and really is one of the best I have ever been to. Their beer and wine selections are incredible. Whether you're looking for a single bottle, a six pack, or something entirely different, Westside has it. Their liquor selection is also quite impressive. If there were to be a drawback it would be price, but really I think it should be expected that rarer items would cost more. If you directly compare cheaper, more common products to other stores in town, there is not a substantial difference. To me, Westside Liquor is about as good as it gets. read more

You know what I like about Westside Liquor? The fact that there are tastings every so often. There should be tastings every more often. Maybe not at like 6 am on a Friday, but you get what I'm saying. I appreciate that the staff know their shit without being pushy as shit. Mostly, though, I just like alcohol. read more

If you love selection, especially microbrews, this is the only liquor store in Saint Cloud! I stand in awe as I stare at all the choices and it's wonderful! The staff is very knowledeable about different beer styles. Also worth mentioning that they have an attached smoke shop with a walk-in humidor. read more

As a new commuter to the metropolis called St. Cloud (okay, really Waite Park,) I had qualms about finding essential services. My fears about libations were squelched upon entering Westside Liquor. It's HUGE! The wines are arranged somewhat randomly, but most everything that you'd want is there. They were out of Surly Bender in the beer dept, but usually have it. The best beer and wine selection in St. Cloud! They've got loads and loads of craft and import, most at reasonable prices and marked with Beer Advocate tags. A lot is refrigerated too. A friend of mine moved to another city and on a trip back, he had to stock up on some German import because it's impossible to find there. We're pretty lucky to have a joint like this. read more

Heading up to the cabin near Brainerd, this is the liquor store stock up at. They had a wonderful bathroom, single stall for both men and women, a complete tobacco selection including pipe tobacco, cigars, and cigarettes. I was able to find some delicious accompaniments for our bloody Mary's that we will be making in the make morning; including bleu cheese stuffed olives, spicy asparagus, and garlic pickles; yum! The staff was very friendly and they even had samples to try before we left. My one friend even bought something that he sampled, which is kind of cool. This would have been a five star rating, but they didn't have a fireball firebox for the cabin, so we had to settle for a handle instead. Overall still a good place, highly recommended. read more

Absolutely the best liquor store in the midwest! Huge selection on all types of liquor ranging from wine to spirits. Also there are deals such as the whiskey of the month where I've got 30% off on fantastic brands like red breast for example. I believe they have 150 types of beer(this is a rough estimate but they have an excessive amount to say the least) to choose from. If anything just for nostalgic purposes its worth a stop. read more

I haven't been here in a while and I used to go here for wine mostly. I came here for beer a couple of days ago and it sucked. The beer area is very disorganized and has no theme, rhyme or reason, just beer here and there. The creepy beer guy is also an unhelpful arrogant jerk. And to add insult to injury, the craft beer prices are the highest I have seen anywhere. read more

The most unprofessional experience I have ever had. I love Westside Liquor, I was a regular customer and preferred this store due to it's incredibly vast inventory. I entered the store with one other person about a week before Christmas this last December and was immediately taken back by the greeting or lack there of we received. There was a "manager" at the door greeting people, upon seeing us he promptly stopped and scowled at us for no apparent reason. Although I was surprised by his blatant rudeness I continued to shop, while he continued to eyeball us while we navigated the store. Upon reaching the checkout he practically ran up to the cashier and basically yelled; "MAKE SURE YOU CHECK BOTH ID'S". We were both making purchases, this was not necessary, let alone I doubt that it is your business acumen to shout, scowl, and disrespect your paying, loyal customers for.... absolutely no reason. At this point I addressed him directly, asking why he was even in customer service, at which point he pretended not to hear me. The cashier promptly apologized, stating they have problems with this manager frequently. I was left shocked, what had I done, aside from spend nearly $100 dollars, to deserve to be treated like complete crap? I later called and spoke with the GM. He stated he would review the tape, to see "if the managers actions were justified" and swore to get back to me as he "wasn't brushing me off." Well, I can assure there's nothing I did walking from my car to the door to receive the amount of blatant disrespect that I did. The General Manager never called me back. I am quite surprised that by choosing this store, and walking in I was treated like crap, and then even had it insinuated that I did something to deserve it. They took zero responsibility for this. I am hoping to get an actual response, this was completely uncalled for, unwarranted and unprofessional. read more
