Great service and fair prices. We were in town visiting family and wanted to try a place that wasn't a nationwide franchise. The line was fairly long when we arrived around 11:30 on a Sunday, but it moved quickly. Once seated and our order was in, the food came out fast. Enjoyed the biscuit and gravy, fries, and french toast. The omelet was decent and about what you'd expect from a good diner. Coffee was great after being in the road all night. You KNOW it's a GREAT restaurant when, at age 71, you're the YOUNGEST patron in the place! The prices are RIGHT! Food selections are like the foods WE grew up with! The staff is cordial and patient. It's a good layout for seniors. The parking is easily accessible. The interior has good lighting, table space and height which can accommodate wheelchairs. I ordered liver and onions because I LOVE liver and onions. They were great! Mashed potatoes and gravy plus a serving of veggies of the day. My friend ordered pancakes with a side of bacon. Right away the customer service was AMAZING!!! we got seated right away and then she was like what can I start you with to drink, I got the hot cocoa and it was the best cocoa for a while. We have our usual spots for breakfast, Kay's Kitchen, Jimmy's Pour House and Park Diner. But none of them are our favorite. We really liked Kay's Diner when it was in the mall over by Dunkin' but it is gone. So, this morning we had some time before work and decided to grab brunch, We both wanted breakfast but we wanted something different. After a little googling we stumbled upon Bridget's and I am so glad we did. I can't believe I never knew this place was back there. The service was great! The waitress was very attentive, always had a smile. It was very welcoming. The food was awesome. I got the Chicken Fried Steak and it was perfect! It tasted hand breaded, not frozen. my hash browns had that perfect crispiness and the toast perfectly buttered. My partner got the ham and egg omelette. It also was very good. He said the hash browns were exactly how he liked them. The serving we got were perfect as well, so good that I can't review the pancakes as they're currently in the fridge due to being to full! After a short wait, she brought my food and it looked good. The beef was tender and moist, and the mashed potatoes and gravy were good. Classic Diner!  We were there on a weekday morning.  Walking in, the first thing I noticed was the delicious pastries and couldn't miss the touching memorial portrait of Bridgette hanging behind the counter.  The dining area had groups of locals enjoying their breakfast, giving us the sense that this spot is a beloved community hub where friends gather to catch up.  We were quickly sat and offered something to drink.  Service was excellent throughout our visit.  I ordered David's Omelette, swapping sausage for the ham, and paired it with two pancakes and a side of hashbrowns. My wife opted for two eggs, sausage links, and pancakes. Our meals arrived quickly and were served hot. The omelette was delicious, packed with ingredients and just the right amount of cheese. The pancakes were light and perfectly complemented the eggs, without being overly fluffy. My husband and I really wanted to give this place a shot and we were so disappointed. When we walked in, it took a while for us to get noticed. The hostess finally saw us and asked how many and we told her two. She wrote something down and then looked in a different direction. Then another girl (another hostess? Im not sure) ran over, looked at us, and yelled "two?" when she was maybe 3 feet in front of us. We told her that it's just us two and she ran off without saying anything, then came back and told us to follow her. I wish the food made up for that poor interaction, but it didn't. Been here a couple times with my sister and her family. Service is prompt and the food is what you would expect at a Ma and Pa place . I had the three eggs vegetable omelette with cheese on top and opted for two pancakes instead of toast. I had requested to have my pancakes upgraded to the so apple pancakes instead and she said it'll be cheaper to just have the pie filling on the side. So that's what I had. The pancakes were light with a little fluff. I added a little butter in the middle of the two pancakes and put the apple filling on top as a syrup was satisfying. I had to add a little Tabasco sauce to the omelette to give it a little kick since there wasn't much taste with minimal veggies inside the omelette. The coffee was good. Overall, a good alternative to Perkins in town. read more

This is a great Ma and Pa place. The place was clean but pretty dated. The service was very good but not many people in the the cafe. After the waitress took my order it was only minutes before the meal was served. I had the meat lovers omelet with hash browns. Good taste but pretty small serving. The toast was soaked in butter so the wheat option probably wasn't as healthy as I would have liked. Good variety of meat but much. Menu was extensive so I would probably give them a second try for lunch. read more

Well Bridgitte's deserve 4 star! The place is nothing flashy and decor is plain and simple. Nothing i feel has been updated for a little while. But i walked in the Hostess was very nice. I see a guy cleaning windows in the outside of the building. And looked around more and the place is kept very clean! Well done! In another look around i see a picture on the wall of the owner Bridgitte that has passed! And it looked to me. Second generation is running it. That is pretty cool to me they have been around so long. The waitress knew everyone there and same with the Hostess. Now to the food. We tried a bit of everything; the bacon was crispy but not greasy, eggs were not salted so you can adjust to your own liking, hash browns were nicely flavored with crispy edges, and pancakes were light with a slight chew. I just discovered this place about 2weeks ago and I have returned 3 times since then for breakfast. The food is hot and comes quickly.They bring you a glass of ice water immediately and if you ask for coffee, they bring a whole pot!! The coffee is great and doesn't have a bitter aftertaste like at Perkins. Prices are reasonable, service is very inviting and they check with you several times to make sure everything is perfect. The portions are big and their American fried potatoes are awesome!! I usually get the smoked sausage, eggs American fries and toast or pancakes. Amazing!!! The restaurant itself is exceptionally clean. It is a typical 60's style decor and the crowd is mostly retired people but also a few younger people. This was my first time to St. Cloud and I didn't really know what to expect. I figured it was a diner with decent ratings, so I couldn't go wrong. Nothing was horrible about the place, it just was... Meh. It was average. Vanilla. Not to knock the establishment itself because they can't control this, but the vibe in there was just... Old. My friend and I are in our 30's and we were the youngest in there by about a half a century. It just felt weird. I ordered corned beef hash. It's one of the things I order at a new place like this because it's hard to mess up. It was OK. The waitress seemed very bothered to have been working there. Maybe it was her natural face, but she did not seem entertained by anything going on. Short answers. Did her job though. While walking through the restaurant, I peeled at other plates. I was glad I ordered what I did. All in all, it was a very average place. Right down the middle. Gave it 3 stars instead of two because they didn't mess anything up terribly. Actually... I'm changing to 2 stars because the thing they did mess up was the coffee. The coffee was literally water. Hard to mess up coffee, but maybe they don't make the coffee strong because of the majority of the patrons not being able to handle it? Brigitte's is a great hole in the wall, local cafe. Think of old style family cafe/restaurant. It's kind of like a Denny's but better and more personable. And, It was here before Denny's came to be. I am amazed at their vast selection on their menu. They serve breakfast all day, and they have daily specials all days except Sunday. It's a good hole in the wall. The food is good, and reasonably priced. I had the 6 oz Sirloin Steak breakfast which included 2 eggs, hash browns and 2 pancakes - DELICIOUS! All this for $11.45. We all enjoyed our meal. The place was packed for mother's day but we still got sat fairly quickly. It took a bit longer than usual to get our food (due to it being Mother's Day), but when it was served, it all came together (party of 6) and was fresh and hot. Taylor, our server, did a great job. This family owned quaint cafe is definitely the place to go to for delicious hearty breakfast! Walk right in to a friendly host greeting you and sit down in one of the cute little yellow booths. You can tell most regulars go there for their breakfast when the waitress comes around chit chatting or greeting customers by their names. The corned hash with cheese on top catches my eye and my hubby ordered Debbie's with Apple pancakes. Food came reasonably fast considering they were busy for a weekday. The salty corned beef paired well with my over easy eggs and perfectly fried hash brown. Dipped the hash into runny yolk and you a delightful taste of deliciousness with a crunch. My meal came with buttered sourdough toast that goes well with the yolk on the plate...can't stop eating. My husband got the Debbie's...everything in 2's: sausage links, bacon, eggs, toast and pancakes except he wanted the Apple pancakes and the kind waitress recommended adding apples without having to pay separately for the Apple pancakes. Everything was perfectly cooked even for simple breakfast items and the Apple Pancakes were amazing. Generous topping of whipped cream slowly dripping down coating the pancake with boiled cinnamon apples were delicious. The waitress came around with maple syrup and blueberry syrup but you definitely don't need it for the pancakes. Staff are friendly and you leave the place feeling full and happy. I hate to say it cause it's a small cafe but this was truly the worst burger I've ever had. I couldn't even tell that to the waitress for them to make it right. Why you may ask? She didn't come to the table to ask how it was. It made me sick to my stomach. It's been all day now and I am still nauseous. After I got home, I brushed my teeth immediately to get that nasty taste out of my mouth. Looks like McDonald's cheeseburger meat.
