St. Cloud doesn't have a Denny's, which is fine by me. This locally owned establishment fills in nicely. It's not trendy, it's not hip, it's not cutting edge. It is good, basic food prepared with love, and the prices are very reasonable. read more

My husband loves to try local restaurants. We were out to St Cloud for a quick trip & glad we found this place for breakfast! They have lots of choices & reasonably priced. I had a mini Debbi's which was a perfect breakfast for me, 1 egg, 1 sausage link, 1 slice of bacon ( super good for a picky Bacon eater ), 1 pancake & toast. Not exactly mini but I ate it all!! My husband had an omelette & he loved too... Donna, the waitress was very nice with sweet smile all the times, told us that they are known for good omelettes in town, & she's right! The food is great, service has faltered lately with the manager promising on getting water, a soft drink, and a take home box, getting none of them. My wife ordered coffee over three visits and each time complained there was something wrong with the taste. After three weeks it still was bad. It's either the coffee or the water. read more

Walk into Brigitte's on any weekday morning and you're likely to find an assortment of gentlemen who have been eating here for the past 20 years. They're sitting at tables, reading the morning newspaper, exchanging few words with the other men they are with, and enjoying breakfast. This is what my parents would have described as a "greasy spoon," an anchor cafe in the community that's been here forever. They serve food like you might find at home, but probably greasier. The dining environment is nothing special. There are four separate dining areas with simple tables and chairs. I had the Debbie breakfast - two eggs, two bacon, two sausage links, two pieces of toast, and two small pancakes. The pancakes tasted fresh and similar to homemade. The scrambled eggs were a bit on the greasy side. The bacon was a bit underdone. It was a hearty and filling breakfast. Went here a couple times for breakfast/lunch . The service is hit or miss and the food isn't the best. I had soup and it tasted like it was from a can and other times the eggs and breakfast meats left a lot to be desired especially in regards to seasoning. The nice touch and family owned aspect is always at the end where you're asked genuinely how everything is, thanked, and offered a parting candy. That is a nice touch. A lot of the locals rave about this place but it's mostly the elderly crowd. It's not a place I would go back to personally. read more

Great service and great food. We had the eggs Benedict special and were very pleased. Hollandaise can be hit or miss and this was definitely a hit. One person had the biscuits and gravy and was also super happy. Again, the gravy cN make it or break it- this was a make it! I came in on the morning of my birthday and the second I stepped into Brigitte's, I questioned why I don't come here more often! The atmosphere is inviting and is nothing short of a community friendly café. My friend and I chose to sit at a booth (which I've always wished would have cushions, but it isn't too bad) and the waitress made sure to seat us in an area that was more secluded (she said the fellas were being kind of loud and laughed) so we could have more privacy. We made our orders snappy. My friend wasn't very hungry, so she ordered a blueberry muffin and I got the 5 oz hamburger steak with cheese and mushrooms on top and hashbrowns on the side. Man oh man was this the best decision I could've made...the steak was packed full of flavor and the toppings only added to that. The mushrooms were so good and the cheese was melted to perfection. As for the blueberry muffin, my friend enjoyed it. It was more of a mammoth muffin and there were plenty of blueberries in it. As we were chatting, two of the staff members brought over a candle lit hostess cupcake (I swear I hadn't had one in years!) and I was delighted. They clapped and sang Happy Birthday and I could not help but smile. I am all about the little things, so I appreciated their kind gesture. Stop on by to Brigitte's everybody! Brigittes is favorite breakfast place in the Saint Cloud area, without question! Everything I've ordered has had generous portion sizes, extreme warmth, and came out quickly. My only complaint is that the restaurant has a lot of locals that will likely stare at you if you aren't familiar to them, but that doesn't impact the flavor of the food. The sausage patties are very large, the hash browns are perfectly crispy, and the omelettes contain plenty of toppings. There is a Groupon for Brigittes Cafe, and it's a steal! I highly recommend giving this homey restaurant a try. read more

if you're not white, don't go. i walked in and felt eyeballs on me immediately. i don't judge people for their skin color but at this place they do. i wait to be seated and as we walk towards the back, i'm asked for my drink choice. i simply say coffee and water and then i ask where the bathroom is. i go to the bathroom, come back, there's coffee and water on the table. perfect. i look through the menu and i'm making my meal choice. a half hour later after no service i decided to leave. employees consistenly walked passed me as if i didnt exist. as if i had a meal in front of me. as if i were not welcomed. as if i were not worthy of eating and enjoying a meal like everyone else around me. this place epitomizes racism. i was the only one as a minority in this old school establishmemt and now i know why. i have never been made to feel unworthy as i had today. this place of business isn't for anyone who doesnt have white skin. im not a racist, but this place made me feel a certain way towards a group of people, and im ashamed i've had these thoughts in the aftermath. a couple of my friends asked me if i said anything: no. no, you don't get my energy in person. yes, you get a review worthy of your racist establishment. no, you don't get my hard earned money. yes, you get negativity towards your business. and yes, i pray this will allow someone else to speak up about the terrible service and isloation given to those who don't look like the overwhelming majority of costumers. the irony of it all was there was a group of mabybe 6-7 older white women sitting a giant table in my view. they were enjoying their meals, getting pictures taken by the servers, and enjoying their day. since this is an old school mentality ran business, you know what they say; what goes around, comes around. f you, too* read more

Passed by this place many times. Decided to try it for breakfast. Clearly a local favorite and the placed was packed. For diner food it was your average offerings. I got the country fried steak and was absolutely shocked it had brown gravy. They said they were out of biscuits and gravy, so I'm wondering if they're out of sausage gravy. It was off putting to have brown gravy on it. It wasn't bad. Just... different. I'm scared to go try the biscuits and gravy in case they put brown gravy on that too. read more

We have tried to order Brigitte's multiple times for delivery. Places like Grubhub send drivers all the way there only to find out the restaurant had not actually made the food and the orders get canceled. Today, it took over an hour to find out the order was being canceled. The last time we did get our order, we didn't receive half the items, but were still charged for them. If they are not actually going to fulfill orders they need to stop partnering with delivery services and stop wasting everyone's time. read more

Brigettes is by far the best restaurant in town. If you go there more than once, you are family. All of the staff are incredible and should be treated with the respect they deserve. That work so hard to make your experience a great one. Now with that said. DON'T be an asshole. They are wonderful people and do NOT deserve some of the treatment they get.
