Met an old classmate in Becker the other day for lunch. We had a nice visit and with catching up, time slipped by. The Cafe closes at 2:00 so as I made comment that maybe we should go ,we were told to stay and talk by the owners. Service was as good as it could get, friendly, attented, and quick. One of the friendliest restaurants I have been at I a long time. I had the rueban with tots. I do not remember ever getting so much sauerkraut on that sandwich, ever! There was 10 of us that went there for breakfast three out of the 10 breakfast had hair in it. The owner came across as very rude and told us that nobody in the kitchen had facial hair. Wanted to support local businesses so stopped in for a weekday breakfast. This place has changed hands over several years and it was our first time eating there under new ownership. I'm feeling generous giving it four stars but here's what we liked - cleanliness (not new but freshened up), very friendly service and attentiveness, quick service, and menu selection. One of us ordered an omelet with hash browns and toast. The other ordered a short stack of pancakes. We asked if we could substitute the toast for pancakes. They said yes but did not tell us there would be a $1.99 charge. Also, we asked for extra cheese which they did not say would be extra and while we were ok paying for extras, the cheese was skimpy so we feel if we hadn't asked for extra there would be none. Also, we had to ask for jelly for the toast. Overall, I think you will get a good breakfast but they need to step up the portions or come up with something unique to compete with some of the other places in the area. We will give it another try because we like the small town friendly atmosphere. read more

This is an incredible, incredible place for food, conversation and more. I have no idea how they make ordinary food as extraordinary as they do, so go on in and try... well... EVERYTHING! Do not drive past this place! The car lot was packed but didn't take long to get seated. The restaurant is spotless, all staff were so friendly. Annie was our server (little sweetheart) and Rebecca takes care of all her visitors. The food was scrumptious. Hash browns are crispy buttery yum, ham super juicy, biscuits and gravy was tasty and leaving we couldn't help but eye up the amazing cinnamon buns and caramel rolls. They are huge! I took my family there for breakfast on Sunday. There were six of us and when the food came they only had four orders. Two of us waited another 5 minutes and when that food came a couple items were missing. The waitress then proceeded to argue with me about the menu and what my order was. Perfect little breakfast place! The prices are exceptional and the food quality is excellent. The wait staff is friendly and they all seem to pitch in to help all of the tables. I gave this place another try after being away for 2 years, and won't be going back. The food took over 1/2 hour to get for just breakfast food. My omelette was undercooked, and my sister's bacon was rubbery. Both were cold. Server was apologetic which is why it gets 2 stars instead of 1. read more

Excellent diner food! We stopped by for breakfast, and though it's an unassuming place were were happy with the warm greeting. The hash browns were buttery and salty, the Eggs Benedict was very nicely done and there was way more food than we needed. The coffee, unfortunately, was pretty weak. read more
