    Fritter toast! No syrup needed.
    Julia B.

We took the opportunity to grab breakfast on a Friday morning, since my husband and I were both off work. We figured most places would be busier because it was the day after New Year's Day. We waited just under 15 minutes to be seated. The staff did the best they could to accommodate each party that came in, while moving through the line to fill tables quickly. I will say the café is on the tighter side. The booths are small, and the tables...well, they're kinda on top of each other. A couple who frequents the café recommended we try the "Fritter Toast". It comes in three flavors. We ordered the blueberry and let me tell you, KNOCK OUT! I wish I had only ordered that! I did order a breakfast special and it was okay. Nothing out of the ordinary for a breakfast joint. The food came relatively quickly and the portion size was big! Especially the pancakes. I will say, and other reviewers say the same, if you're looking for a small town feel, with friendly staff, Lindas' has some work to do. We didn't feel welcomed. Some of the staff were down right crabby and standoffish. If we don't go back, I won't be sad. But, I will need to figure out a way to get my hands on the fritter toast.

Solid breakfast. The place was rocking busy and it wasnt even 8:00 am on a Saturday. Biscuits and gravy were delicious. North star omelette was good though I didn't realize it doesn't come with cheese automatically so will ask to include next time. Ham and cheese omelette was good as well. American fries were cooked good. Portions were the perfect size. Very reasonably priced as well.

Nothing special. Googled breakfast food nearby and this café came up. Linda herself is not friendly -at all - but a majority of the rest of the staff are. First come first served, we waited about 15 minutes for a table as there were 10 people in front of us. Breakfast burrito was filled with meat but the grease could have been drained. I had to eat with a fork and knife. Pancakes are as big as your head and come with sausage bacon and eggs. For not being a pancake person I enjoyed the few bites I stole from my son. Coffee was good, not strong but not bitter. Overall a decent meal but nothing memorable. The group next to us had their order messed up and then found a hair in it when it finally arrived. That, coupled with Linda's grumpiness is reason enough not to make a special trip to dine here.

What in the world is Broasted chicken?! Well, if you want to try the best fried chicken on this side of heaven, you must stop at Linda's cafe and order their broasted chicken platter. It was delicious! My husband was generous enough to let me have a bite. I ordered their breakfast skillet and it hit the spot. It gets really busy here and there is a bit of a wait but it is well worth it. I highly recommend trying this place out.

Came here with recommendations from locals. They weren't wrong. There's a wait because it's good!!! Be prepared with your whole party to be seated. Fair because the place is small and they're trying to serve everyone. Idk ‍ what the person is talking about "not friendly staff" because everyone was wonderful. Our server was friendly and helpful. We had a party of 11 and everyone loved their food. I loved my stuffed French toast sandwich, almost like a Monte Cristo but better! Give them a try.

Such a cute cafe with so many goods to purchase! The waitress we had was very polite and kind! I ordered the chicken tenders basket with ranch and loved it all very comforting. I ordered the caramel roll which came very hot and soft and so delicious!!

OMG! BEST FOOD EVER. I went on a Friday and they had Country Fried Steak and it was with hashbrowns and for the appetizers we had loaded chili cheese fries and that were amazing. Their broasted chicken was phenomenal and the potato salad was extraordinarily good. I would give then 20 stars if I could but they do not give you that option. They were honestly the greatest restaurant I've ever been too. The waitress and owner are really nice and it is so clean and so cabinesque feeling. I would love to go back there and I highly recommend this amazing restaurant and tip them highly. They were hands down, the best I've ever been to. Thanks for such and amazing experience and I am definitely coming back for more. The price is so good and affordable so super excited to share this experience

Fast quality food, especially breakfast. There's often a wait, but people are seated quickly. Enjoyed our breakfast very much. Highly recommend.

Too small, limited seating, not much taste for breakfast- other than the over salty ham steak.

It's surprisingly…read moredifficult to find a truly high-quality bakery around here, and after one too many supermarket "French" baguettes and bake-at-home loaves, this place was exactly what I'd been looking for. The bread is fantastic--crusty, fresh, and authentically French. They also have an incredible selection of beautiful pastries, cakes, and other classic French treats that look like they came straight out of a Parisian pâtisserie. And the coffee is absolutely exquisite. One thing that always makes me smile is that while the pastries look and taste authentically French, they're definitely American-sized! They're enormous. If you're hungry, you're in for a treat. More often than not, I'll enjoy half of one there with a coffee and take the rest home in a box for later. It's a wonderful little café with a relaxed atmosphere and a great place to sit and unwind. If you're in the Apple Valley area and looking for something a little different--something with a genuine European feel--I can't recommend Café de Paris highly enough. I'll definitely keep coming back.

This cafe is found in a quiet spot in the town of New Prague. The restaurant gives off small town vibes but their special drink flights are spectacular! Now, of course we chose to visit this place for their Harry Potter themed drinks and I am so glad we did. This cafe actually creates 4 themed drink flights! 3 unique coffee flights - Harry Potter, Star Wars, & Peanuts, and 1 boozy Harry Potter themed flight. The presentation of these flights were gorgeous! Each one comes out in a beautiful wooden deco box with different themed Harry Potter stickers on the sides; as well a fun character toy brought to your table - we had both the Sorting Hat and Dobby. The booze flight also arrives with one drink aflame! There is a drink designed per-house. Majority of theme were delicious. The one set on fire did have a bit of an off-putting taste to it due to the flammable component drizzled over top. Besides this, the drinks were very nice. Not a fan of any of the themed flights? Don't worry, they have a regular mimosa flight for muggles as well On to the food. I chose to order the #3 From the Hen (2 eggs, choice of meat, hash browns, and toast). The food was absolutely delicious and extremely filling. Let me put you on one really quick.... The sausage is out of this world, the best I have had in years! I had a moment to sing my praises to the owner and he clued me in that they actually get their breakfast sausage from a local butcher near by! This all makes sense. The sausage was HUGE great flavor, thick and juicy in texture. It reminded me of a true German sausage. I would come back for that breakfast alone! All love to small businesses supporting small businesses! Overall really enjoyed my time here! If you haven't been out to try Ettlin's I might suggest adding it to your list!

I had an awesome breakfast burrito and their awesome Tirimasu Latte (iced), and they have other offerings that will lure me from St Paul for future visits. Specifically, now that I am mourning the loss of Sun Street Breads and its Thursday Night Pizza Night, I'll have to try Smith's version of that. But I'll probably come back for brunch on a weekend pretty soon and get more coffee, as well as something from their bakery. But also, yes, brunch; the eggs in my burrito were really perfect. I was there at around noon on a Sunday; peak busy times so parking was a little hairy but I eventually found a spot. I absolutely recommend coming with a bunch of pals and hanging out for a good long time, but maybe don't all drive separately if it's noon-ish on a weekend. They have a lovely patio area which was well-populated, even on this extra-sunny mid-February day. If you like adorable cafes, you will definitely love this place.

I immediately started looking at coffee shops that I could relocate to in order to work. I had been wanting to go try Smiths for a while but the opportunity just never presented itself despite being just down the road. I arrived and the driveway leading to the parking lot was lined with cars, but I was able to find a spot in the parking lot after a minute or so. It was definitely a full lot for sure. The location is absolutely adorable as this is a historic house. It was once a Dunn Brothers, but I do love that it is its own thing now rather than a chain. They had a outdoor patio that people were enjoying but it was a bit chilly for working and sitting outside, one person even had a dog which I LOVE! Inside the front door you are greeted with a welcoming counter that you can order. I opted to try the salted caramel iced latte. If you are consuming there (which I was) they give you a number to bring to your table and they bring the drink. I really liked this idea especially in the aspect of not having to stand and wait for a drink. The price was a bit high (7.55 for a 16 oz with $1 tip), but then again everything is getting expensive these days. I walked back to the seating area and there are essentially 3 rooms downstairs, I walked through all 3 to see where working would be ideal. I went upstairs but there was a woman in the room so I assumed it was a group that was meeting or something so I opted to not investigate further. I found seating downstairs in what felt like the quietest part, but there were a lot of people there talking and the acoustics were not exactly fantastic. I did have a call which I took via teams and air pods and discovered the sound in the room was actually really not awesome for a meeting as it was quite loud and the wifi was not strong enough to support the video on the teams call. So would I recommend working from Smith, not if you have a meeting, but if you are looking for a place that has some background noise, I guess... However this is certainly a place that is perfect for meeting someone and enjoying breakfast or coffee and I love that. I did not order food this time, but everything I saw get delivered looked delicious. I also noticed they have a pizza night on Thursday nights and immediately made a note of that for a date night with the hubby.
