I love places like Linda's. Out East, we call them diners. Linda's is more of a roadside cafe. The menu is immense, with an all-day breakfast. Most items are homemade. On this lunch outing, we were with our daughter and cozied up to the counter. Linda's often has a line waiting for a table. My wife loved her French Dip, and our daughter said her Eggs Benedict was fantastic. I was excited to see liver and onions on the menu, but alas, it was beef liver and tougher than a junk yard dog. Service was fun, professional, and accepting. I came from a meeting and was wearing a stylish, trendy suit, not the usual attire at Linda's. However, I was dealt with just fine. No one gave a rip. We took the opportunity to grab breakfast on a Friday morning, since my husband and I were both off work. We figured most places would be busier because it was the day after New Year's Day. We waited just under 15 minutes to be seated. The staff did the best they could to accommodate each party that came in, while moving through the line to fill tables quickly. I will say the café is on the tighter side. The booths are small, and the tables...well, they're kinda on top of each other. A couple who frequents the café recommended we try the "Fritter Toast". It comes in three flavors. We ordered the blueberry and let me tell you, KNOCK OUT! I wish I had only ordered that! I did order a breakfast special and it was okay. Nothing out of the ordinary for a breakfast joint. The food came relatively quickly and the portion size was big! Especially the pancakes. I will say, and other reviewers say the same, if you're looking for a small town feel, with friendly staff, Lindas' has some work to do. We didn't feel welcomed. Some of the staff were down right crabby and standoffish. If we don't go back, I won't be sad. But, I will need to figure out a way to get my hands on the fritter toast. read more

Old school big skillets, HUGE pancakes, strongest coffee on the planet, haha. You can even buy things like bird feeders, pot holders and more too. I ordered the Country Fried Steak which was a big portion, seasoned perfectly with freshly made gravy, I asked for "crispy" hash-browns and got crispy hash-browns. . I tried the cranberry wild rice bread which was delicious. My over easy eggs cooked perfectly too. Great to see a Classic Cafe still going strong. We are long time fans of Lindas' Cafe, it is a great local spot to get breakfast! The food is great, far superior to anything you will get at Perkins or other chain breakfast spots. The omelets are incredible, I order one every time. The interior is cozy and cabin themed, and the staff are welcoming and make you feel like part of the family. It was very slow today. The waitress we had was horrible. She had reddish medium length hair. My food was left at the pass for too long waiting for my husband's food. She seemed very disinterested in all of her customer's. It's nice to have a friendly waitress that actually asks how your food is. We've always had amazing service and food here. Nothing special. Googled breakfast food nearby and this café came up. Linda herself is not friendly -at all - but a majority of the rest of the staff are. First come first served, we waited about 15 minutes for a table as there were 10 people in front of us. Breakfast burrito was filled with meat but the grease could have been drained. I had to eat with a fork and knife. Pancakes are as big as your head and come with sausage bacon and eggs. For not being a pancake person I enjoyed the few bites I stole from my son. Coffee was good, not strong but not bitter. Overall a decent meal but nothing memorable. The group next to us had their order messed up and then found a hair in it when it finally arrived. That, coupled with Linda's grumpiness is reason enough not to make a special trip to dine here. read more

This place is much bigger on the inside than it appears in the pictures. I love home cookin' cafes. I usually get a skillet. I chose the one with hash browns and country fried steak cause you can't get that everywhere. It was smothered in gravy and I got OE eggs. I got a huge biscuit on the side instead of toast. I wanted to get broasted chicken for dinner but they were out. I had 3 large mugs of coffee. It was MacGarvey's and not artisan crap. I ate half here and half at home for dinner. OMG! BEST FOOD EVER. I went on a Friday and they had Country Fried Steak and it was with hashbrowns and for the appetizers we had loaded chili cheese fries and that were amazing. Their broasted chicken was phenomenal and the potato salad was extraordinarily good. I would give then 20 stars if I could but they do not give you that option. They were honestly the greatest restaurant I've ever been too. The waitress and owner are really nice and it is so clean and so cabinesque feeling. I would love to go back there and I highly recommend this amazing restaurant and tip them highly. They were hands down, the best I've ever been to. Third is a wonderful little cafe, with a nice down home feel. Their menu selection is fairly extensive, least for breakfast, which is when i went there. I got the standard eggs, hashbrowns and sausages, but added 2 pancakes, since the menu said made from scratch. Everything was delicious! Service was fast and friendly, with coffee top offs when the cup got a little low. The eggs were cooked prefectly, the sausages were not the run of the mill scrawny little links but were a good size, and the hashbrowns were golden brown, crisp on the outside, and tender on the inside. The dish came with toast and lots of butter on the slices. But the wow factor came in the form of the extra large, home made pancakes. I probably should have just got one, not realizing the size of them, but they were amazing. Fluffy and golden, just like a pancake should be. Linda's is this glorious hole in the wall in Rogers Minnesota. Tucked back in a small strip mall in a small town it's not easy to find his place but your will be glad you did. We have been here a handful of times and typically it's been decent (probably would have given 3 stars). However, after today's visit I've settled on a 1 star and will not likely return. Things started off fairly rocky when being seated, as the old man who works here stood impatiently waiting for our two-year old to take the booster seat from him. I guess he was expected to put it in the booth on his own? It was relatively smooth for a little bit from here until our son spilled his milk on the floor. My wife flagged the old man down to inform him, to which he attempted to evacuate us from our booth like there was an incoming tornado. He yelled at her repeatedly "get up now, right now!" He made us feel like we were an annoyance and unwanted here. It was abrasive, rude, and all-around upsetting. This isn't the first time he's been around where he's been very curt and rude to customers, however we had never really had anything impact us directly until today. The food is decent for breakfast, but this place is NOT kid-friendly, NOT customer-oriented, and truly just not worth experiencing this kind of treatment for average food. read more

The menu is typical diner style choices for breakfast with the addition of 6 or so different types of eggs Benedict. I had the garden omelet which was three eggs fried into a very thin crepe, then filled with tiny diced onions, broccoli, green peppers and mushrooms. These veggies were also sprinkled on top with the cheese. You can choose between Swiss, provolone or American. I like a fluffier, thicker omelet, but that's just me.
