Lindas' is a great little cafe in Rogers, north of Highway 94, near the Super America on 101. This is strictly a breakfast and lunch joint. It's the kind of place I expect to see in an old classic building in an old part of town. But these gals are tucked away in the corner of a crappy little strip mall. (I really hate strip malls!) But when you walk in, you're surrounded by an old-time, up-north - hunting, fishing, cabin vibe. It's very nice, warm, and homey. Two of us stopped in at noon for lunch. It was busy as hell...definitely the lunch rush. Despite the craziness, we found a table and the service was fast & friendly. We even had one of the owners, Linda, filling our coffee and delivering our food. I never saw her stop smiling and I never saw her stop moving. Amazing! It's great to see an owner that's hand's on, friendly, and knows what's going on. My burger was very good. It had a large, real, fresh (not frozen) patty. And the fries were giant and cooked perfectly. My mother's tuna melt was good too. It looked like at least half of the people were eating breakfast selections for lunch. It all looked super yummy. Really great breakfast food, reasonable price! Only reason I'm not giving it a 5 is their coffee was disappointing. I'm a coffee snob so I tend to have high expectations. The coffee here is passable but a little bitter and I wasn't immediately offered cream or anything. It was hot and plentiful however. Coffee is important at a breakfast joint! Onto the food! The usual options are all available. Eggs done to order, pancakes, bacon, sausage etc. Their hashbrowns were perfect! Crispy, not overly greasy and amazing! Their kids menu is reasonably priced and has large portions. The kids enjoyed cereal with toast and chocolate chip pancakes in a Mickey Mouse shape. Two kids breakfasts and a two egg and meat combo for $20. All the food was great and the smaller, open atmosphere is inviting. Wonderful small town cafe with country style home cooking. The food was delicious and very filling. They have large portions and they didn't mind that some in our group split one of the items. I had the Hot Meatloaf sandwich. The meatloaf was moist and flavorful. The mash potatoes were fluffy and the beef gravy was plentiful and yummy. My sister had biscuits & gravy and the biscuits were perfect. They are also known for their broasted chicken so we got some to go. The meat was moist & the skin nice & crispy. Lindas' Cafe is the type of place that I grew up knowing as a greasy spoon. And to be clear to me and my people that is a good thing. Just good people serving up great food! Only open for breakfast and lunch and as far as I am concerned they have breakfast nailed. I have tried several items but now that I have tried the Lindas' skillet it's all that I can bring myself to order as it is so spot on delicious. I order it with hash browns and over easy eggs and those are layered with corned beef hash, fresh biscuits and hollandaise sauce but you can choose the american fries instead and the eggs any way you like. My kids love the giant pancakes and the breakfast burgers. Give this place a shot you will not be disappointed. read more

This used to be our favorite place for a fabulous breakfast...which is what I was expecting yesterday morning with my son. I wanted bacon with 6 fried egg whites...what I got was bacon sitting in a puddle of grease on the plate that was either so over cooked that I could barely chew it or raw fat...and "egg beaters" that was watery and underdone. VERY DISAPPOINTING!! When asked "how was everything?" (Which should have been obvious since I only took one bite of the eggs and pushed my plate away!), I told her the eggs were terrible... she shrugged and said "want something else?"...my son was done with his breakfast by then so no, I didn't want to wait for something else and then have to hurry up and eat while my son sat there bored! Maybe you should have asked within a few minutes if our food arriving!! The cashier asked the same question and I was honest...I told her breakfast was very disappointing and her only response was "oh we buy that egg beater product"....well I figured that...but if you're going to offer an egg alternative to your guests, STAND BEHIND IT! No offer to adjust the bill...nothing! Handed me my change and went back to counting the cash in the register....like "I've heard your compliant, you're dismissed now"..... Also my son ordered scrambled eggs and they were cooked and folded like a crepe...not scrambled. He didn't eat his eggs either. We won't be back...food disappointing, lack of customer care and concern even more disappointing. Such a shame...it's the only small breakfast place around and used to be phenomenal! My Nurse raved about it, so one morning we stopped in or rather stop in line. Things moved quickly and I was so surprised by the menu variety as I started reading. The offerings were items I had only seen when I was back home. When I go to a new eatery I always look around at other tables offerings so I can get a sense of what they have. OMG the trays that went y were amazing! Portions are HUGE, smell wonderful, and look fabulous. My potato pancakes and hash did not disappoint. You want to stop here if you're passing through town! We're traveling cross country and stayed in the area overnight, my wife found this place after searching online and we weren't disappointed. When we came in we were a little hesitant but greeted by our super friendly waitress. I had the two eggs with toast and hasbrowns and my wife and I shared the French toast with strawberries and cream. We got the kids French toast sticks( they loved) and they were delicious as well. Great locals place for breakfast or lunch. Be prepared to wait sometimes on weekends. Tasty food anytime & generous helpings. UPDATE 1/2018: Today we says goodbye to Linda's. Returned here for a nostalgic breakfast and treated like we weren't as important as the Rogers Lions men. Ordered a cinnamon roll first to help with meds I was taking. Never received it. When our food was brought, quite a while longer, the waitress brought only our entrees and I said to cancel the roll because I needed it for meds. The waitress never apologized nor our server, Linda. In fact, we felt like the plague at that point on because NO ONE checked on us and had we needed anything we would have had to get up and get it for ourselves. The Rogers Lions were well taken care of however. No one apologized for missing the cinnamon roll. Linda, our server and who's name is "Linda's cafe" could have cared less for us as she dropped off the ticket without a word, as if an after thought. Then, we had to ask the roll be removed from our check at the register. No more nostalgic returns to Linda's for us. If you're a regular, you may have a better experience. I used to be ... a regular. I have been here twice now and the first time we had breakfast and it was great! That breakfast sandwich was huge and tasty! We also had fritter French toast, and the eggs Benedict with bacon and cream cheese. Everything was awesome! I went back again and we ordered lunch and were less impressed. The waffle fries and seasoned sour cream were not the greatest, my patty melt was delicious but my boyfriends chicken tender melt wasn't great. Google had some difficulty finding it, but once there it was good food. We chose breakfast foods at noon which were abundant on the plates. We did not get pancakes but those that did found the pancakes larger than the large plate it was on. Coffee refills were slim and far between though. Easy place to miss but I'm so glad we found it. Ever since moving to Buffalo we have tried to find a great breakfast place. This place had good food and really worked hard to keep the wait time low. Not much waiting room while waiting for a table and you have to just wait in line with your entire party to be sat. I had high hopes for this place and ended up being overall disappointed in our trip for breakfast last weekend. The place is in a strip mall and looks entirely typical from the outside. Upon entering we were greeted and seated without delay. We ordered drinks and perused the menu. Pretty standard American diner fare. Our server brought our drinks however, she forgot the honey my wife requested with her coffee. My omelet wasn't much; Lots of onions, a few green peppers, a dash of cheese, and a drizzle of chili. It was satisfying but entirely forgettable. Despite the omelet, the rye toast was quite good. My wife's order (steak and eggs) looked much better and she confirmed they were pretty good. As for the coffee, that tasted like mud. The portions were far from large (pretty mediocre, in fact) which I prefer, but sort of a let down based on other reviewers' comments. Our server was friendly but distant and somewhat inattentive. The prices were OK. I'm glad we tried it but I doubt we'd come back. read more

Founded by two women named Linda, this restaurant misses the mark entirely on price, food quality and especially service. Staking their fame on plate-sized pancakes that are drier than day old bread, aweful. Also the ham and Minnesota wild rice omlettes with processed 'swiss' cheese all microwaved to perfection. Went there today for lunch with my Mom that has a bad hip after surgery, a nice young couple ahead of us gave up there spot in line so she could sit down. Horrible salty tasteless food. I got the Linda's skillet. It has biscuits that were super dry, the hollandaise sauce tasted like pure salt and nothing like it should. The corned beef was like cat food. My husband got country fried steak and it was also not good, the gravy came from a packet or can. The only thing that was good was the English muffin and toast. Wow wow wow, extremely tasty french toast with berries and cream cheese. Two slices of french toast, with cream cheese and strawberries in the middle, covered in more strawberries and whipped cream. The rest of the dishes are a little expensive for the general quality of food, but this item is worth it. This place is the quintessential MN cafe, the only thing that would make it better is if it were in a log cabin on a lake. We brought our family of 5 there for breakfast, we have a 3 years old and 1 year old twins. The staff was extremely accommodating of our family. All around the staff was great. The food was pretty very good. My only gripe is, make sure that if you don't like raw onions you mention it. I deliberately ordered a dish that didn't call out raw onions as part of the description, it had raw onions. Of course this isn't a problem is you like raw onions, I don't. So I had to pick through each bite to minimize the quality of raw onion I ate. The prices here are excellent. At least a few dollars per dish lower than other dinners, yet the quality is awesome. The coffee was hot, but a little on the bitter side, I usually drink black coffee, but added cream. The dinner was clean. Overall the experience was very good. read more

There aren't many places in the area that are smaller, locally owned (non-chain) places, so Linda's drew us in for that alone. We initially went for breakfast, which is supposed to be great. We were not disappointed. A decent selection of breakfast favorites and they were served in generous portions and, more importantly, quite satisfying. We've been back for their lunch/dinner fare which is also your typical homestyle diner food, and it has been pretty good. Not as good as breakfast, however. Don't expect anything fancy in the decor department; that's not why people go here. As others said, expect a wait for breakfast on the weekends. Our only complaint is the service. Not good. Not good at all. I'm not even talking about the time it takes for the food to arrive. But on more than one occasion our server acted like we were bothering her by just being there. That is never a good sign. And when you constantly have to try and flag down a server at breakfast because your coffee cup has been empty for a while, that's also not a good sign. read more

We love this place. The breakfast offerings are fantastic because they are different and unique from what you would find at a similar family-run breakfast cafe. The fritter-bread is absolutely worth the carbs and calories! I love the skillets as well, and their egg sandwich is tasty! The service is good, always ensuring your coffee mug is full. The one thing I would say is needing improvement is the entrance. The line that forms creates a jam of people blocking the door and others standing at the counter in that same spot to pay. There is the other door in front of the dining area that I would suggest using as an 'exit only' so that people entering aren't squishing together to allow patrons to leave. read more

We have been living in the area for nearly seven years and did not know about Linda's Cafe until we used a coupon. It's funny that we probably drove past Linda's Cafe many times and did not know it existed until we used our coupon. We found friendly adult staff (no teenagers) who were very accommodating and constantly checking on our needs. My wife had the breakfast and I had the chopped steak dinner. The plates are huge and delicious. It was a nice change from the chain restaurants such as Denny's and Perkins. We are glad to find Linda's Cafe and plan to return. read more
