Hope Breakfast Bar is a bright and open space right across from Target Field. It's decorated with some cool artwork, and it's hard not to be in a good mood when you walk in. The menu is large and has so many amazing-sounding options! It took forever to decide, but we eventually landed on the pina colada French toast and the biscuits n' gravy. They were both incredible, and we would love to return to try some of the other items on the menu. Our server was nice but overworked. She appeared to be the only server on the floor--there weren't even bussers to help her out! Thus, the service was a bit lackluster, but we certainly don't blame her for it. It seems unfair to expect one person to run the whole show, even on a less busy weekday.
Service was great! The hostess greeted us with a smile and they put a table for the 10 of us right away. Our waitress was lovely and patient with all of us. I added a poached egg to the pork belly & biscuit dish. The cream sauce was SO good!! I usually like my lattes original and regular but this one with elderflower was delicious and not overly sweet! The place is small but clean and nice. It was not crowded. We came for brunch after my husbands cousins graduation!
I was looking for a breakfast/brunch spot in downtown Minneapolis and I'm so glad I found this place - it was great! I had the Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs and it was delicious! The steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned with tender meat and a crispy outer layer. The rich gravy that covered the entire plate was a perfect balance of savory flavors. The biscuit was also very good. I shared an order of the Salted Cinnamon Roll Waffle and that was alright. The service was attentive and the restaurant is well located. The service was warm. The ambiance was modern, yet comfortable. I'd definitely go back.
Hope Breakfast Bar might just be heaven's waiting room -- because from the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels blessed! The staff greet you like long-lost cousins at a family reunion, and the smiles are so genuine you start wondering if kindness is on the menu (spoiler: it is). The place is spotless -- I'm talking "spot-a-crumb-and-they've-already-cleaned-it" clean. You can feel the good energy the second you sit down. Now let's get into that Stuffed Poblano -- full of flavor and cooked to perfection. And those Loaded Potatoes? Let's just say I almost spoke in tongues. Every bite had me saying, "Hallelujah!" And then came the Espresso Martini -- listen... that thing took me right on over the edge. I came in ready for breakfast, and left somewhere between praising the Lord and needing a nap. What really melted my heart, though, was the prayer card on the table. You can write your prayer request and drop it in -- and I love that touch. Between the food, the drinks, and the spirit of the place, I felt fed in more ways than one. If you're looking for a place that serves faith, food, and flavor all before noon -- Hope Breakfast Bar is your Saturday morning miracle seven days a week.
The same friend that referred this place to me also went with me here to try this place out. The place is beautifully designed on the inside and has outdoor seating. Let me start by saying the waitress Ella definitely helped us have an amazing experience by helping me modify my order and tending to our wants in a quick manner. It should be illegal to have donuts prepared the way those basket of donuts were mad. I will say I have never had a perfectly made donut until this very morning. And I always judge every place I go to based off there Chicken and Waffles. Esthetically this was one of the best looking I have seen thus far. The waffles were perfectly cooked and soft and the chicken was a tad cooked to long but it still was good. The MVP was the two types of syrup I had and the cinnamon sugar butter she made for me. Definitely a chefs to this place and mandatory to visit if you're a fan of breakfast and brunch. Thank me later.
We came with a reservation on a Sunday morning and I would highly recommend a reservation. This place is right off the lightrail stop making it easy to get to! They have indoor and outdoor seating and it's a much larger space than I realized. Their menu is so fun and it was hard to make a decision on what to get! I ended up getting one of their bowls which was good but maybe not as balanced as I would've liked - for example there was an overwhelming amount of pickles and it was light on sauce and the contents made it difficult to stir. I got the horchata coffee drink and the cinnamon on top was a bit overpowering. We got the donuts for the table and that was a great shared option. The service was rather attentive but not above and beyond. We did learn that they have an hour limit on the weekend so you will have to find a different place to sit around and chat
Holy F!!! We are new to MN, and this place was highly recommended- for good reason! Service was great, atmosphere was great, food + presentation was great. We will be back. YUM!
I love Hope Breakfast Bar, no matter the location. Anytime I'm in the cities, I've been looking for any excuse to get out to this restaurant. At this location it was cool to see it in the heart of downtown Minneapolis near the Target field. This particular occasion my best friend and I went. Our server was very mindful and took all the precautions when I mentioned my dairy allergy (hello Midwest). She literally went as far as to find out if the brioche they use is dairy free. Ya'll after conferencing for a week and struggling for people to understand it means all dairy, even in baked items, you can only imagine how elated I was! Back to the food. I had the Breakfast Tostada and an iced Vietnamese coffee with oatmilk. If you're a Vietnamese coffee fan, then you understand why that blew my mind!!! My friend has the Stuffed Poblano and a banana latte. To top it off, I was able to get a birthday shot. Ya'll sometimes I get scared when something tastes too good, because only dairy could make it that good right? Welp, I was oh so wrong in the best of ways.
I always enjoy Hope and I like that they now have multiple locations. Food is always pretty good and lattes are good. The inside is cute and they are always pretty busy. I give them a 4 stars instead because the staff wasn't super attentive or friendly. Could have been an off day.
This was the first place we went to eat at Minneapolis while we were on vacations and did not disappoint! The vibe of the restaurant is super cool, the decor also makes you want to look at every detail, specially the super sweet card at the table inviting you to write your hopes and dreams, then they have a wall to place your note (love the idea). Now down to the most important thing, the FOOD, wow we wouldn't decide what to order, they have so many good options so we decided to do family style and order many dishes and share and we loved them, the best one was the breakfast sandwich (sounds simple but it is not its delishhhh!)! Our drinks were also delicious, our fav was the butterscotch latte & the white chocolate matcha latte! Our server Bri was also very helpful and friendly and she guided us with recommendations too! The only little thing was that we ordered some scrambled eggs on the side and that surprisingly not very good... also we reserved and when they sat us they wanted to seat us in the overflow area which is another restaurant and the vibes are not the same, HOPE is unique and we had to talk to someone to make sure the change our table and sat us back to where we really reserved (thanks Bri for making it happen). Definitely recommended and will love to come back!
Second time visiting Hope, we got the lavender waffle and the southern fried chicken and waffle. Food is always delicious and the service is always fast and the music is never too loud and the times I've been there it's been very clean and busy. A bit pricey but worth it. Their orange juice isn't the best could be improved and their pineapple juice was too sweet.
Bright ambiance here can lighten your mood in an overcast day. Thumbs up for many healthy choices. We love the mimosa tower. Services are fast and friendly! Definitely a great breakfast spot. Highly recommend.
Worth the wait!!! Searched long and hard for a restaurant with tasty food, excellent service that was child-friendly and a welcoming atmosphere. The hardest part was choosing between all the wonderful, fresh, creative options. Our server, Matthew was attentive and thoughtful. Do not skip the pickle pretzel... who knew it would be so delicious??
Hope Breakfast Bar is continually one of my favorite places to grab breakfast, and I've now been to five of their locations. This time our family tried the 5th Avenue Minneapolis location right across from Twins Stadium. Quick tip, park in the garage facing the restaurant on the left side. It's an easy elevator ride up and the signage makes it simple. Matt was our server and did an outstanding job. Great service always makes a difference. Beverage options were excellent too, stuff for everyone, mimosas, specialty coffee drinks, and really solid drip coffee. The menu has a great balance of savory and sweet, so naturally we tried both. We had the breakfast sandwich with sausage, a BLT on a croissant, biscuits and gravy, pancakes with fruit, and a croissant-waffle fusion with lemon and sweet cream. Honestly, everything was delicious. What I appreciate most is the atmosphere. These restaurants just feel comfortable, welcoming, and easy to enjoy with family or friends. I'm excited they're coming to Maple Grove, but I'll still keep visiting the St. Paul, St. Louis Park, and Minneapolis locations too because I want to see our cities and local businesses thrive. read more

Hope Breakfast Bar- North Loop is now one of my favorite places for brunch. I've been to this location multiple times now and each time the service has been great and the food was fantastic! I've been to other locations and this one is my favorite. I tried the Cottage Bruschetta Toast and it is a must try! I was skeptical at first, but it's my favorite dish on the menu. It is downtown so expect street parking or in a parking garage. read more

I really enjoyed this new location. I've been to Hope Breakfast Bar at other locations, but this may be my new favorite. I think it's in a beautiful spot with great views of the city, and the joint space with Salt & Flour means plenty of room and comfortable seating for a nice eating experience. The food was on par with the other locations, but I must say that I felt like my food came out much quicker than it ever did before at this location. Everything hot and exactly as ordered. My service gal was also nice and welcoming. Really enjoyed it and would love to visit Salt & Flour in the evening next time. read more

HOPE Breakfast Bar - North Loop's Newer Spot Serving Up Sunshine and all day breakfast! First time at the new HOPE Breakfast Bar in Minneapolis' North Loop--and it's tucked perfectly in the shadow of the Twins stadium. Great location. We kicked off Father's Day brunch in the sun with iced pistachio + cardamom lattes, and wow. Creamy, earthy, floral... it's the kind of drink that makes you pause and say, "Well damn, they nailed this." I usually default to my go-to's from the St. Paul location, but today I stepped out of my comfort zone and went for the Reuben Hash Bowl--and it delivered. * Sweet & tangy kraut * Bold and sweet house Reuben sauce * Thin-sliced, gratin-style potatoes (slightly under for my taste, but still worked) A wild twist on a classic that's worth a try if you want to break out of the "eggs & bacon" trap. The wife stuck with her staple: Overnight Oats--predictably excellent. Creamy, perfectly chilled, topped with seasonal fruit. Now for the surprise MVP: Loaded Hashbrowns. Crispy, cheesy, and begging to be topped with a pair of over-easy eggs. Next time? Definitely getting my own. read more
This was my first time at the west end location. One thing you can count on this location are that there's plenty of parking! Walking in we saw two bunnies, Easter Sunday, and was greeted at the door where we told them we had a reservation, which you should totally do especially on weekends. We got seated right away and I like the decor and how the tables are setup. The menu looked promising and was looking to try something different so was thinking between the two salmon dishes with one being a Easter menu with smoked salmon. The server who helped told me everyone was eating their plate clean on that one so I said why not lol. It was delicious and the drinks were good too, not too sweet. My lo got the hopes waffle and side of eggs and hash and he barely shared with me! Lol Next time I'll get my own waffle Overall we were happy with our meals and will definitely be back for more palate adventures. read more
Made a reservation to try the new Minneapolis location this last Sunday and we were seated right away! Our server Amy was hilarious and nice. One thing to know is that the baby cakes allow you to choose one flavor, not three different flavors as the menu suggests. Warm, inviting and modern atmosphere with decent portions and about 1 million different drinks to choose from this place is a great stop for breakfast! read more
I love the aesthetics of Hope. It's welcoming and such a vibe. The restaurant was also big, compared to the other locations. Bathrooms were also very clean. The food was amazing. They have a huge menu and their drink menu is even more amazing. We tried everything from the breakfast to their coffees to their cocktail menu and it was delicious. We did not feel rushed during peak hours. Service was great! read more

Food is average. Service is horrible. Sat at the bar since I am by myself. Came in at 11 am on Friday, November 28th. I got one glance from blonde bartender lady. She took my order and never checked in my food or on me again. My very small glass of water was never refilled. When i had enough I cannot find a person to make eye contact with me for me to check out. Finally I got the attention of barista on the other side. Brunettte girl was actually very nice and she's the one who closed me out. I am not sure if it is the way I dressed or the way I looked but I very much feel unwelcome at this establishment. Not going back for average slop food. read more

I just went for the first time recently, and I was impressed! The restaurant is so cute! They have a nice blend of savory and sweet breakfasts. I got the pork belly and biscuit, which was really good if you want something heavy and savory. The pancakes weren't that good, a bit burnt and doughy. But the food, drinks, and vibes were good. Some of the seating can be a bit crowded but otherwise, I liked it! read more

I'm so glad this opened in Northloop. This is hands down my current fave brunch spot in Minneapolis. In the morning it gets the sunrise and there's plenty of seating. I love the table booths. Sometimes when it gets super busy they have overflow seating in the salt and flour restaurant. Super nice staff and the menu has great options for anybody. read more

Came in on a busy Sunday morning. Ordered the salmon pimento bagel & pistacho cardamom coffee. The coffee was absolutely not for me, which made me sad because I love pistachio. I asked to swap it out with the caramel coconut coffee. This one was so much better. The salmon pimento bagel was super disappointing. With the picketed veggies, the bottom bun ended up being soggy and I just ended up picking at it. Our server was pretty busy too, and I understand he couldn't be as attentive but he didn't tell us his name or even asked how our food was. The restaurant itself is really aesthetically pleasing. read more
