Hope Breakfast Bar is continually one of my favorite places to grab breakfast, and I've now been to five of their locations. This time our family tried the 5th Avenue Minneapolis location right across from Twins Stadium. Quick tip, park in the garage facing the restaurant on the left side. It's an easy elevator ride up and the signage makes it simple. Matt was our server and did an outstanding job. Great service always makes a difference. Beverage options were excellent too, stuff for everyone, mimosas, specialty coffee drinks, and really solid drip coffee. The menu has a great balance of savory and sweet, so naturally we tried both. We had the breakfast sandwich with sausage, a BLT on a croissant, biscuits and gravy, pancakes with fruit, and a croissant-waffle fusion with lemon and sweet cream. Honestly, everything was delicious. What I appreciate most is the atmosphere. These restaurants just feel comfortable, welcoming, and easy to enjoy with family or friends. I'm excited they're coming to Maple Grove, but I'll still keep visiting the St. Paul, St. Louis Park, and Minneapolis locations too because I want to see our cities and local businesses thrive. read more

Had the smoked salmon scramble which turned out to be a ln overcooked hot piece of salmon not smoked salmon sitting on top of salty eggs on top of toast. Please look up what smoked salmon is. Service was super fast and friendly. But weirdly they take 3% extra for credit card processing when basically everybody pays with a card (and they have a tap-to-pay machine). I've been to other locations and this one is my favorite. I tried the Cottage Bruschetta Toast and it is a must try! I was skeptical at first, but it's my favorite dish on the menu. This place is great - I was in town for work and had 4 breakfasts here as it was walking distance to my hotel. The staff is super friendly, the vibe is nice, and the food slaps. I loved the stuffed poblano, the espresso was strong and smooth, the service was quick and while it was always pretty full I never waited for a seat. There are a lot of fancy coffee drinks and boozy drinks but I didnt try those. I was a little surprised that there was a card on the table asking me to write my hopes and dreams so that true the staff could pray for them .... What's wrong with a secular breakfast? Hope Breakfast Bar is a bright and open space right across from Target Field. It's decorated with some cool artwork, and it's hard not to be in a good mood when you walk in. The menu is large and has so many amazing-sounding options! It took forever to decide, but we eventually landed on the pina colada French toast and the biscuits n' gravy. They were both incredible, and we would love to return to try some of the other items on the menu. Our server was nice but overworked. She appeared to be the only server on the floor--there weren't even bussers to help her out! Thus, the service was a bit lackluster, but we certainly don't blame her for it. The same friend that referred this place to me also went with me here to try this place out. The place is beautifully designed on the inside and has outdoor seating. Let me start by saying the waitress Ella definitely helped us have an amazing experience by helping me modify my order and tending to our wants in a quick manner. It should be illegal to have donuts prepared the way those basket of donuts were mad. I will say I have never had a perfectly made donut until this very morning. And I always judge every place I go to based off there Chicken and Waffles. Esthetically this was one of the best looking I have seen thus far. The waffles were perfectly cooked and soft and the chicken was a tad cooked to long but it still was good. The MVP was the two types of syrup I had and the cinnamon sugar butter she made for me. We came with a reservation on a Sunday morning and I would highly recommend a reservation. This place is right off the lightrail stop making it easy to get to! They have indoor and outdoor seating and it's a much larger space than I realized. Their menu is so fun and it was hard to make a decision on what to get! I ended up getting one of their bowls which was good but maybe not as balanced as I would've liked - for example there was an overwhelming amount of pickles and it was light on sauce and the contents made it difficult to stir. I got the horchata coffee drink and the cinnamon on top was a bit overpowering. We got the donuts for the table and that was a great shared option. At this location it was cool to see it in the heart of downtown Minneapolis near the Target field. This particular occasion my best friend and I went. Our server was very mindful and took all the precautions when I mentioned my dairy allergy (hello Midwest). She literally went as far as to find out if the brioche they use is dairy free. Ya'll after conferencing for a week and struggling for people to understand it means all dairy, even in baked items, you can only imagine how elated I was! Back to the food. The portion sizes are small, per price, $68, for the three us to eat, for something that I could have made blind-folded at home. I think it's in a beautiful spot with great views of the city, and the joint space with Salt & Flour means plenty of room and comfortable seating for a nice eating experience. This was my first time at the west end location. One thing you can count on this location are that there's plenty of parking! Walking in we saw two bunnies, Easter Sunday, and was greeted at the door where we told them we had a reservation, which you should totally do especially on weekends. We got seated right away and I like the decor and how the tables are setup. The menu looked promising and was looking to try something different so was thinking between the two salmon dishes with one being a Easter menu with smoked salmon. The server who helped told me everyone was eating their plate clean on that one so I said why not lol. It was delicious and the drinks were good too, not too sweet. She took my order and never checked in my food or on me again. My very small glass of water was never refilled. When i had enough I cannot find a person to make eye contact with me for me to check out. Finally I got the attention of barista on the other side. Brunettte girl was actually very nice and she's the one who closed me out. I am not sure if it is the way I dressed or the way I looked but I very much feel unwelcome at this establishment. Came in on a busy Sunday morning. Ordered the salmon pimento bagel & pistacho cardamom coffee. The coffee was absolutely not for me, which made me sad because I love pistachio. I asked to swap it out with the caramel coconut coffee. This one was so much better. The salmon pimento bagel was super disappointing. With the picketed veggies, the bottom bun ended up being soggy and I just ended up picking at it. Our server was pretty busy too, and I understand he couldn't be as attentive but he didn't tell us his name or even asked how our food was.
