a foamy cup of coffee
Ellie B.

Reasonably priced, good coffee, and great location! A friend and I stopped by to get some coffees after walking around the mill city farmers market (held inside the museum during winter) and were pleasantly surprised. We ordered iced coffees with oat milk and at $4.50 each it was a lot more adorable than some of the other nearby coffee shops. They didn't have iced coffee cups at the time, but it worked just as well in a hot coffee cup with ice! Super easy stop if you're walking around the area!

My friend used to run Bushel & Peck but has since moved out of state, so we have first hand knowledge that their food is freshly prepared and top quality. We still come by every now and then. Their burger isn't the biggest patty in town but is very tasty and the fries are excellent. It's just a simple cafe to grab a bite if you hanging out at the Guthrie or over at stone arch bridge or taking a tour at the museum.

Avocado Toast with greens, radishes, and a 7-minute egg.

I experienced an Avocado Toast for the first time. It was tasty. I'm not a huge fan of the runny egg (7-minute egg) though, but was pleased with the amount of fresh greens accompanying this lunch entree. This place was doing some killer business over the lunch hour. As much as I wanted a burger, I restrained myself but they looked amazing. Located at the Mill City Museum, you order at the counter and are given a number. They bring the food to your table. There is a counter to drop off dishes when you are done. The staff were extremely friendly and service fast. My colleague said she could have gone for two eggs. (Yes, we had the same thing!)

Remnants of my porcheta sandwich. It was too good to wait to take a pic.

We found this place kind of on a whim. Stopped to eat before the mill tour and enjoyed it. Food was well prepared and the staff were polite and fun. I felt like we got our money's worth and would come back if we were back in the area. My son enjoyed his burger and my wife lover her fried egg sandwich. It's a quiet quirky little spot that has awesome food and fun tables.

Very good french fries in an extra convenient location. In the lobby of the Mill City Museum, you can't beat this place for a quick snack or maybe even a full lunch.

Located inside mill city museum, this place is a little trendy cafe in a small nook. We came on a Friday for lunch and there were several school groups there taking a lunch break during their tours. You line up to order your food at the cash register and then get a number and sit down. The food took about 15 minutes to arrive? Fairly quick but the menu is fairly basic as well. I got the salmon salad and my friend got the fried egg sandwich. Salmon was a bit dry and neither dish was very special. My friend and I both thought it was something we could easily make at home and possibly even make better. Prices are fair, about $8-15 per person depending on what you get. I don't feel like I need to go out of my way to come again unless I happen to be hungry while touring the mill city museum. Very cool concept of a restaurant but food wasn't anything special.

The hash was good. I will visit again next time I am at the market. The chicken fingers and fries were also good.

Food was very good. They were so nice about accommodating a dairy allergy and checked ingredients on everything. Good lattes too!

I brought my family from out of town and we all loved their juicy burgers and fries. The flavors were fresh and full.

Not really a cafe, but a fast lunch house in the Mill Museum. Avacado toast was good, fried chicken was dry to the point of inedible

Meanwhile the staff greets you with a kind smile that makes you feel welcomed in. I had the Ube Latte and the mixed Momo platter. The Ube Latte is well balanced between sweet Ube flavor and coffee and cream. The mixed momo platter comes with meat filled and potato filled dumplings that come with a spicy sauce for dipping. They are perfectly plump, warm and delicious and lend themselves well to a cold day. Absolutely recommend this hidden neighborhood gem if you're in the area (or even if you're not! It's worth it!)

They had a few cute items for sale, like momo merch, stickers and more. I got the black sesame latte which was strong but good. We also ordered potato and chive momos and they were decent. I think it could have used a bit more flavor, a bit starchy tasting. But the soy sauce helps a tiny bit. Would for sure come back to check out more. I was a bit shocked that they had to put signs on some of the lower tables for people to not put their feet on them. In a cafe/food establishment that should be common sense but I definitely get it. As it was busy it was a bit loud but I really like the vibes and aesthetic of this cafe!

Several 2-4 person tables, a couch area near the fireplace, a handful of barstools looking out the window, and a communal table. They even have a few fun swing chairs! AMBIANCE I'd say this is a pretty buzzy spot - at least it was when I came in. The folks meeting and chatting outnumbered the folks working remote/solo, but with headphones on it wasn't too loud. DRINKS I got a hot chai, and it was good! Only downside is I ordered for here and they served in compostable cup - I prefer when ceramic / reusable mugs are given for in-store drinkers. FOOD I didn't order food, but saw several people getting lunch here and looked good. AMENITIES There's a bathroom attached within the building, and a water station. The outlets are a bit more sparse since not all tables are against the walls.

You can even get cozy by the fireplace and relax on the couches. They serve a light breakfast and lunch but we only tried the drinks. I was super pumped to try their Vietnamese coffee but was pretty disappointed in it. I should've asked what they put in it because it didn't taste like it had condensed milk in it. They also added a nutmeg/cinnamon sprinkle on top that is not what a Vietnamese coffee is. My sister tried their mango smoothie and it was just okay. I can't remember what the smoothie was called and I can't find any updated menus on their site anywhere. North loop is only metered street parking so it can be a b**ch trying to find parking. There seemed to be a decent amount of people inside working on their computers. Overall this seems like a cute place to relax in and get something small.

The interior design is stunning and the fireplace adds a cozy touch. It's always packed no matter the time of day, which shows how popular it is. Unfortunately, the coffee has been consistently disappointing for me. For such a great space, the drinks just don't match the atmosphere. Service has also been a letdown. It feels rushed and transactional, and the staff does not come across as very friendly or welcoming, which takes away from the experience. They do have a nice selection of baked goods, including Cardigan Donuts, which is a plus. Parking is typical for the North Loop. It can be a bit difficult to find right nearby, but there are plenty of options if you're willing to walk a few blocks. Overall, it's a gorgeous space and a great place to meet up or sit for a bit, but the coffee quality and service are what hold this location back for me which is sad because I love other FRGMT locations.

Caffetto is the quintessential Minneapolis coffee shop--they've got tasty, reasonably priced drinks…read more(including a robust selection of teas both hot and iced), good hours, and a real fun punk cafe vibe (lots of fun graffiti and vintage pinball machines). I think Caffetto kind of corners a market that no one else has by being open so late--most coffee shops are barely open past noon, and they're open until midnight! I've personally spent many a late night there finishing up work--it's a really cozy atmosphere, and the selection of pinball machines in the basement are the perfect study break activity. The staff are all great and even when there's a line, they get through it quick and are still able to offer great recommendations--while I usually prefer an iced green tea with no ice, I've tried the lattes, cold press, Thai coffee, and hot chocolate and have genuinely never had a bad drink here. The only thing is to make sure you watch your step if you're walking in the basement--even though it has seating and pinball and the bathroom, it's more of an unfinished space with uneven flooring and I personally rolled my ankle and fell there last year haha.

I had a triple decaf almond milk latte that tasted like it was caffeinated to me but didn't give me the buzz I'm so addicted to, that's when you know it's a good decaf. I love the coziness and the unique artwork in Caffetto. I look forward to coming back at an earlier hour to feed my addiction. But it's great to know I have a go to coffee shop for those afternoon cravings where the decaf tastes just as delightful! UPDATE- 2 hours later: there's additional seating and a pinball machine room in the basement, glad I went downstairs to the bathroom.
