Found street parking nearby, which made getting here easy. The lady taking my order was incredibly patient and friendly, and she made me feel welcomed from the start. I ordered the French Toast Latte. It was good, but I think I should have gone with one of the seasonal drinks if I was looking for more of that "wow" factor. The veggie momos took about 20 minutes to come out, which seems pretty standard since they're made fresh. The wait didn't feel long at all. They arrived hot, and the filling was delicious mostly cabbage and potato. The portion was generous and filling. I also loved the chili sauce, it had a nice kick without overpowering the dumplings. The cafe itself has such cozy vibes. It looks small from the outside, but there's plenty of seating inside. Really cute café with good coffee. We came around 1:30pm on a Saturday and it was fairly busy. No line, but the place was full of people seated. Some working, some knitting, some just enjoying whatever they ordered. Plenty of seating. We just went for coffee so I can's speak on the food, but the coffee was good. If you dine in you get reusable dishes, in our case cute Mason jars. The place is full of art and things you can buy, but doesn't feel crowded and claustrophobic. The staff was very friendly. I was honestly surprised by how big this cafe is. It just keeps going! The space is cozy and welcoming with a nice mix of comfortable lounge seating and firmer tables that seem perfect if you're planning to work for a while. I also loved the individual task lights above the smaller tables. It's a small detail, but it made the space feel really thoughtful. The only downside is that there isn't much natural light, so the cafe can feel a little dark, especially toward the back. The staff was the biggest disappointment. They weren't rude, but they came across as pretty standoffish, which made the experience feel less welcoming than the space itself. I ordered the light roast coffee and, unfortunately, it was pretty terrible. That said, the menu is huge with lots of different drinks and food options, so I'm sure there's something on it that would be a much better choice. I also didn't try any of the pastries, but they looked absolutely massive and definitely caught my attention. Overall, I really wanted to like this place more. The atmosphere is great and it seems like an excellent spot to work or relax for a while, but the coffee and less than welcoming service left me a little underwhelmed. This was a very unique place. There were tons of cool paintings all around, shelves with the cutest items, and a comfy couch near the entrance. The color scheme was centered around a warm coffee brown which matched the strong coffee scent. I got veggie momos, a cappuccino and a mango coconut smoothie. The momos were perfectly steamed and went really well with the provided chilli oil. The smoothie was more sour than I expected, but it balanced out the sweetness really nicely. As a first timer, I didn't know which coffee to get. One of the employees walked me through all the options and helped me pick out the perfect one to my taste. She made it extra hot for me. Heavenly! Momo Café has street parking and a lovely interior. Upon arrival, expect an entry with unique Polaroids of patrons plastered on the wall with some local flyer events. Once officially inside, the decor will have you transported into a vintage theme with lots of gold palettes and earthy undertones. Each table has a single lamp which you can choose to keep on or off. The menu is plentiful and fluctuates seasonally with different specials. In addition to caffeine, there is a bakery case around the counter from where you order from which will showcase various items including donuts from Bogarts - yum! Momo offers on house dumplings and even quiche. The quiche was out of this world. My friend and I ordered seasonal items. I opted for the lovely day latte and my friend got the pistachio rose latte. My friend enjoyed hers so much that she ordered a second. If this doesn't tell you that Momo's is a delight, I don't know what does. The service was helpful and kind. I really enjoyed the Tamago sandwich which is basically an egg salad croissant sandwich with a bit of a kick. I liked how the egg salad and cucumbers balanced out the butteriness and crispiness of the croissant! It was a very filling lunch. I came with my sister and we both got different teas. She enjoyed her hojicha tea with a bit of syrup added. I really liked the Po cha / Tibetan tea which was a buttery milky tea. It definitely woke me up. :) I would recommend if you are someone who likes not too sweet, nutty, and not too bitter teas. We both enjoyed the Tibetan momos -- the meat filling ones are definitely soupier which was enjoyable. The veggie dumplings tasted better with more of the chili crisp oil. The mochi ice cream most likely used the ones from MyMochi packs but the cream was nice to have and it was a fun sweet treat! Definitely would come back with family or friends when visiting the cities again. Drinks we got at the front where we ordered but they brought food for us which was nice since we decided to stay in to eat lunch. Seems like it's a nice place to study and work and they have WiFi. The place is nicely decorated with Tibetan decor and plaques talking about the history/background which was cool. Upon entry they've got cute winter decor built upon their worldly Asian influenced decor that makes it feel like a nice break from the cold winter roads. Meanwhile the staff greets you with a kind smile that makes you feel welcomed in. I had the Ube Latte and the mixed Momo platter. The Ube Latte is well balanced between sweet Ube flavor and coffee and cream. The mixed momo platter comes with meat filled and potato filled dumplings that come with a spicy sauce for dipping. While out running errands, stopped by Momo coffee for a quick snack and drink. It was pretty busy but also super cute and well decorated with nostalgic and cultural elements. They had a few cute items for sale, like momo merch, stickers and more. I got the black sesame latte which was strong but good. We also ordered potato and chive momos and they were decent. I think it could have used a bit more flavor, a bit starchy tasting. But the soy sauce helps a tiny bit. Would for sure come back to check out more. I was a bit shocked that they had to put signs on some of the lower tables for people to not put their feet on them. In a cafe/food establishment that should be common sense but I definitely get it. MoMo Café has been one of my favorite spots since I moved to Minneapolis four years ago, and it never disappoints. The cozy, low-key atmosphere has such a welcoming vibe that keeps me coming back. They had a long list of coffee and tea options. I got the black sesame and the French toast latte. The French toast latte is great if you like cinnamon flavors, and the black sesame was subtle and unique. Doughnut was delicious and 2 drinks and a baked good were like $15. It was such a good price! I also used my own cup and got a small discount. They use compostable straws (woo!). I am definitely going back here (and will also try the momo next time). Two restrooms available and both were super clean and nice. Outlets throughout the seating, so plenty of people were there to do work. They also sell pottery, water bottles, mugs, stickers and cute keychains. The owners were super nice and the music was also very chill. Free water and WiFi is available. White ube mocha was a 10/10. This is the best coffee shop in MSP. I said what I said. Aesthetic: 5/5: Asian elegance inviting elements from across time. No music or minimal music if any leaving room for conversation, work, peace. Service: 5/5: Every person who works here has the best, friendliest attitude and is incredibly patient with me while I take forever to decide what I want. Drinks: 5/5: the 16 Oz for here is an entire bowl. Please get it for only 50 cents more. The sweet corn latte was so aesthetic with a tiny sweet corn candy on top. Iced was lovely, ask for a little sweeter if you operate that way. The black sesame latte both times I've had it was excellent. The matcha latte iced was lovely and syrups are almost all made in-house. Food: 4.5/5: They sell Bogarts donuts and the Nutella donut was definitely like 4000 calories but worth the heart attack because it was a well done donut overflowing with Nutella, as it should be. The vegetarian momo had something starchy tasting in the filling which wasnt my favorite but good value of momos for $9. The biggest thing for me here is that the coffee is top tier and milk is always frothed perfectly, shots pulled properly, syrups made in-house. How is a cortado $2, or a premium seasonal latte $5, or a regular latte $3.5 with no additional charge for milk subs? This is a real community coffee shop. We stopped into Momo Cafe and had a really nice experience. The atmosphere is wonderful and welcoming, and you can tell it is a local favorite since there was a line out the door when we arrived. Thankfully, it moved quickly and gave us time to browse the menu, which has a lot of tempting options. We tried the iced chai latte and the iced matcha latte. They were not our personal favorites, as both leaned a little on the watery side and the chai had a BOLD spice profile. We tend to order chai and matcha lattes wherever we go, so this may just come down to personal preference. The lavender iced donuts were magical. Light, airy, perfectly sweet, and beautifully flavored. Possibly the best donut I have had anywhere. That alone made the visit worth it. With so many more items on the menu to explore, and with the cafe being close by, we will definitely be back. Parking is on a residential street but was not too hard to find. read more

I stopped by to get their winter special matcha drink! I went around 11AM on a Sunday and it was packed! If you want to dine in, I recommend either coming earlier or later in the afternoon. Wow. This place is world onto itself. Step in and you feel transported. Perhaps not to Tibet ( though I've never been) but the vibe is incredible. There are so many small touches to this place that make it a great spot to spend an hour with a warm drink. The shop itself is large and has a sorts of different seating from couches you work tables. So something for everyone. The drip coffee is Peace Coffee so not the best coffee beans around so I'm kind of breaking my rule on giving this place 5 stars but everything else here is just awesome. The staff is very friendly and they do have plenty of things on the menu. I personally love the dumplings! The parking is a bit of a drawback because it's right off the main road. The homemade Tibetan momo dumplings are rich and flavorful, clearly made with love and it's accompanied by a perfected chili oil (some of the best in the game). I asked the person at the register for suggestions and they recommended the ube white mocha latte -- which was served in a handcrafted mug...genius concept overall! The latte is both tasty and beautiful and fits right in with the quaint atmosphere at Momo Cafe. Beautiful space with plenty of seating. It was super busy when my partner and I got there and the staff were all so nice and so helpful. I got the matcha latte and it was delicious! It comes unsweetened, which I prefer, and I added a dash of honey. My partner loved the ube white chocolate latte! It's on the special menu and he loved it! I generally don't like coffee, but I also really like the drink. We got the mixed momos (beef & veggie) and they were all super flavorful. The beef momos had a bit of broth inside, which helps make the flavors splash my mouth while eating. Walking into Momo Cafe is like stepping into an antique shop, with the shelves tastefully decorated with a variety of old teapots and other delightful brickabrack and memorabilia. They've put so much work into creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I was immediately drawn to their specialty menu, where Tibetan flavors take center stage. My eyes snagged on po cha, a Tibetan butter tea, and has now become my favorite with its nutty warmth. They have different flavors on rotation, I tried their black sesame latte and an ube white mocha on separate visits, both were lovely and rich. Momo dumplings come in 7s at $13 for beef, $11 for veggie, or $12 for mix. I didn't try them this visit, but noted that many others were ordering them, so they must be good. I'm so happy to see Bogarts Donuts in their pastry case behind their beverage cooler. This cafe is a great place for remote workers. Plenty of outlets and seating, a serve-yourself water cooler, and plenty of books to pursue while avoiding work emails. Parking is free on-street. Accessibility: note for folks with mobility issues: the door has a step leading up to it (see pic). For my fellow hearing impaired folks, cafe is lovely and quiet, with a whisper of background music. Busy place already~! Happy to see it. We are big fans of Momo Sushi so I was so excited to see Momo Cafe was coming soon and it's within walking distance of my home. The space is so cute and well decorated, they already need to expand as all the tables were full when we visited so we just took our drinks and momos home. There was space on some couches to wait and our drinks came out fast and momos not too long after. The momos are different than at the sushi place as I recall, at least, I loved these way more than any we've had at the restaurant. We got the veggies ones and they were almost like pierogis they were so full of soft potatoes. Delicious and fresh (I skipped out on the dipping sauce since I knew it would be spicy and used sweet and sour at home). For drinks we got an oatmilk latte and a pistachio rose which were excellent and affordable. Nordeast is full of hidden coffee shop gems, and this spot is no exception. From the moment I walked in, the cozy atmosphere and friendly service stood out. The lovely waitress offered a few thoughtful suggestions, so I ended up trying the pistachio latte and a London Fog--both comforting and delicious. At first, I didn't notice any pastries, but they're tucked off to the side near the cashier. Turns out, they're baked fresh daily by Bogart's, which makes perfect sense once you take a bite. I especially loved the brown butter iced donut--it was light, fluffy, and perfectly balanced, definitely a step above the cinnamon swirl. One of the pleasant surprises? The prices were more affordable than I expected, especially for such quality drinks. The space itself is inviting, with plenty of tables, couches, and a couple of deadbolt bathrooms in the back. Finally got the beef momo togo since I had somewhere to be at and unfortunately it tasted dry and wasn't as good as I hoped. Lattes on the other hand were good and worth the trip! Donuts were cold even though I got it right when it got delivered. Service was very fast for everything except for the dumplings. Got there a little before 9 and didn't get the dumplings until closer to 9:40 even though I was told it'll be 15 mins. It's located just off Central so if it's busy the street can be somewhat hard to find parking. The coffee itself was delicious.
