Friendly service. Good vibes. I love the manilla mango bowl. Its so filling and delicious! I've tried many of the coffees, matchas here but they aren't that great. There are many pretty, special drinks like the rainbow latte, or smores latte, so its a great place to stop when you want something instagramable and special. Otherwise the parking isn't easy, street parking only, and its hard to plug your laptop into an outlet if you're lucky enough to find one. But I come here often for that mango smoothie bowl. The granola in it is perfect.

Leah's place (iced) tasted more like a pistachio drink with a hint of matcha and lavender. It was sweet and milky. I like that's it wasn't too heavy for a morning drink. Finding parking and a table might be difficult, especially if you have a bigger group but not impossible. When you find a table, I love that they have the QR code on the table for you to order - I just wish that they had pictures. I use to go so often when I lived closer - It feels like every visit, the place evolves (space and menu) So happy to see them thriving!

We love this place! The drinks are made well and the food is great. We never have to wait long for service and the vibe of the place is top-notch.

What a beautiful little cafe that sure packs a punch! We had drive by numerous times and decided to check it out. Food was amazing!! I had the French toast with Nutella on it with a side of sausage, so delicious and filling My wife had the regular breakfast and it was delicious, loved the potatoes!! Everything is well done here and it feels very cozy, super jealous of people within walking distance. Parking - everything is on street so you may have to walk but it's worth it.

My first visit to Cafe Astoria was so good that I went back later the same day for brunch! I had stopped for a coffee on a Saturday morning and was able to walk min and place an order right away. There was plenty of seating and the cafe is beautifully decorated. I ordered an iced creme brûlée latte and a strawberry cream cheese danish. I would get both of these again but would consider getting the coffee hot to have the brûlée sugar on top. When I went back for brunch that afternoon I ordered the bacon mushroom toast, with chili oil and manchego cheese. I highly recommend everything that I tried! I can not wait to go back to try more on the menu!

We went to Cafe Astoria at 11 on a Sunday, so it was packed! But tables are first-come-first-serve, so we got lucky and found a spot quickly. Instead of servers, you order your food using a QR code app. The decor and architecture are charming and cozy! It was quite noisy but not impossible to hold a conversation. The food is reasonably priced. All of our dishes were good but they didn't "wow" us. I got the Frenchie croissant sandwich, which was a little heavy on the egg but too light on the mushroom/cheese/onions. We also got a pull-apart pastry, which similarly was decent but nothing particularly special. Their coffee drinks are fun and creative! We were worried they might be "style over substance," but my date, who is a coffee-loving former barista, gave it her stamp of approval. Cafe Astoria is a great place to take friends and family for a fun and cute brunch, but perhaps not for the foodies.

Friendly/efficient service, DELICIOUS food/beverages, and ample outdoor seating -- what more could you ask for from a neighborhood cafe?! Stopped in to do some wedding planning with my fiancé on a Friday morning. We ordered at the counter but later realized it's possible to order right from your table! Drinks came in less than 5 minutes and hot food in less than 10. The strawberry matcha was deliciously fresh, cold, and creamy, and the café even has soy milk. Nutella panna soisse was flaky, crunchy, and pillowy soft all at once. My fiance and I commented while at Cafe Astoria that we could easily return a number of times and order something different each visit. Cheddar garlic croissant is next on my list!

I love how creative the menu is, although parking can be difficult once you're inside everything is seamless. From ordering at the front to your order being brought out to you and just being able to leave when you're done and not worry about anything. Definitely one of the best coffee shops around.

I came on a weekday during the day and there was plenty of seating and table to choose from! They have a wide variety of food and drink options on their menu. the staff are very friendly and the cafe plays great music at a nice volume level where you can still chat without the music being too distracting. The decor inside is really cute as well! I had the matcha and the Armstrong breakfast and both were delicious! I would say the only thing is parking is kind of tough since it is street parking but overall great place, will be back!

    Rainbow latte (it's a mocha)

Delicious and aesthetic rainbow drinks!! They call it a rainbow latte, but it has chocolate in it so it's effectively a mocha. A bit sweet for me, but good! Friendly staff, too!

Have turned into one of my favorite cafes in the twin cities. This place is wonderful. Even coming up to the cafe it is really pleasant to look at the old St. Paul architecture and the entryway design. You walk in and order right at the bar. The staff was really helpful in choosing options since everything on the menu sounded really tasty. I ordered the Moroccan chicken bowl, blueberry danish that the staff recommended and a rainbow latte that was on the hidden menu! Took about 10 mins for everything to come to my table. Everything was good from the bowl to the latte. Had no complaints. If you're in St. Paul definitely check this place out.

Do yourself a favor and just come visit. I've been coming here since they opened and there is a reason it's always packed! Everything actually tastes as delicious as it looks online. Favorite drinks are the 24k latte and s'mores campfire latte. They've continued to expand their food menu which is much appreciated. Whether you're just coming for a drink or a full brunch, you won't regret it.

When in Rome w/ salad, breakfast burger, ricotta pancake, turkey sausage links, two iced lattes

Day 2 and this café doesn't miss! Everything was incredible--again. The staff is so sweet, and even with it being busier today, it still felt like such a peaceful spot with great service!!

To me, it's gonna taste bad no matter how great you prepare it but she said she loved it and would definitely get it again. I had the Italian Pasta if I remember correctly. I was really grateful for that experience. Honestly, the entire visit--from the moment I walked in to the moment I walked out--was top-notch. For food and drinks, I ordered a Moscow Mule, the Meatloaf Wellington, and the lobster with cauliflower cheese. It was my first time trying a Wellington, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but unfortunately it just wasn't for me. The lobster, however, was a definite hit--I ate every bit of it! This goes to show the caliber of this long standing institution. Customers are treated well and are respected here. Our snacks from the menu were delicious and perfectly sized. Could have been a bit more seasoned but it was generally ok. The baked potato was pretty hard/waxy (vs fluffy). The vegetable side was some kind of peas/succotash which looked awful, but was quite tasty. The problem is I literally was served only enough for 2 bites of it. The kitchen really should have been embarrassed sending it out. A couple table mates had the prime rib special. I'm not sure how 'done' they ordered it, but both came out looking gray and even fattier than most prime rib. Looked pretty awful. My husband had the New York Strip and said it was fine but that the "house au gratin" potatoes were nothing special. If I came back I'd probably stick to a burger (hand cut fries!) and have steak elsewhere.
