Yellowbird is an adorable small coffee shop in St Paul which has one of my favorite drinks off all time, The Selby. It's a chai latte with ginger chai, vanilla syrup and burnt sugar. So so so good!! The place is usually busy but the staff is very friendly! I love the fun menu and so many drink options! There is a small attached lot and free off street parking available.

Stopped by on Saturday morning to try their fall flavors, got the Nutty Bird and very much enjoyed it! As much as I loved my drink, I was a little shocked when it rang up around $8.50 but I did appreciate that there's no extra charge for alternative milk. The inside is smaller, a handful of tables for small groups, as well as a couple barstools by the window.

Such a cute coffeeshop with a nice tucked away vibe despite being right on Selby, Yellowbird does a great job of being a cozy coffeeshop with nice seating indoor and out. Tons of yellow bird decorations really add to the ambiance. And the coffee is great too! Fast service when I was there, and my plain cold brew was rich and refreshing, exactly what I needed.

Perfect little urban neighborhood coffee shop! Lots of tasty coffee options, very friendly staff, and a pleasant mess of evidence along all the walls that they care about the neighborhood and the larger community. It's a small enough space, with a contented enough customer base, that it can be a bit crowded during peak hours. They have parking spaces in the back (NOTE: it's not the parking lot next to them, you have to enter from Dunlap Street and park behind them), but those are also claimed quickly when it's busy. So just park on the street like we all do for so many businesses in this charming part of town. I like the Hamline, a sweet coffee treat with a modest mix of unique flavors; it's good enough to get every time, but I want to try more of what they have. I've also had a "morning bun" which I really liked (heated up is best).

Cute coffee shop with a great variety of signature drinks! I got the Lex which comes with chocolate and caramel and ordered it iced. It came out quickly and tasted pretty good. There's some seating inside, and parking behind their store which is very convenient. I didn't spend much time here, more of a grab and go thing but I'd love to come back!

I went to Yellowbird Coffee Bar on a Sunday morning. It was a beautiful day so my friend and I were able to bike to the coffee shop which was so lovely. There is plenty of parking in a lot on the side of the coffee shop. Upon entering you walk right into the counter to order coffee and look at the treats they have to offer. They had a lot of coffee options to choose from and a list of signature drinks as well. I chose to get the Chai tea latte with skim milk and my friend got the latte with whole milk. The drinks were ready quickly and were served in the cute yellow mugs shown in the photos. There were a handful of seating options in the coffee shop and the coffee shop had a quiet, relaxing vibe, however, we chose to sit outside. I did not love my chai latte as it was much more milk than it was chai tea but my friend enjoyed his coffee. I would also like to note that I thought everything was priced really well, as coffee shops seem to hike up their prices. Overall, not the most exciting coffee but a good neighborhood spot.

This is a cozy neighborhood coffee shop. You can easily spend a few hours working with a nice background of conversation and music. I got the chai which was exactly what a cloudy November day calls for. I also tried the m and m cookie and chocolate croissant. Loved the croissant! The workers were friendly too.

The young man at the counter offered me an extensive menu of regular coffees, espresso drinks and specialty drinks, all of which could be made hot or cold. They also have a variety of milk selections. Unfortunately, they were out of skim milk today, but he offered to tweak the amount when I told him that the main reason I usually had skim milk was to enhance the coffee flavor(and their coffee really tasted good). Additionally, he offered to make my drink in my personal cup which was great since I hate to use plastic whenever I can. This location is only a half block from United Hospital and all its various buildings and there is no good coffee within that entire complex. It's definitely worth getting a breath of fresh air and taking a block and a half stroll to have a great cup of Joe! By the way, although I tried hard not to look, their pastry case looked scrumptious, filled with homemade pies by the slice and other goodies. Since they are so close to the hospital it's really nice that they also have a lovely display of fresh cut flowers. Next time I'm down here I'm going to stop in for a meal. If the food is as good as the coffee I think I'll become a regular.

This is a small coffee shop almost to the downtown area. There is neighborhood parking all around(free) just make sure you are reading the signs correctly. The service... i asked for my coffee iced and to have oat milk. Neither of those requests were fulfilled. Now, I do like hot coffee, so I didn't complain and I will say the coffee was delicious. The temp was perfect for drinking right away. I am lactose intolerant, so I didn't realize I didn't get my oat milk until after I left if you catch my drift haha. The person taking my order seemed frazzled and wasn't very friendly. I had also ordered another baked goods but I guess she didn't hear because upon checking my receipt, it wasn't listed. It wasn't overly busy, but may be she was new? Not sure, but it did leave a bit of a bad taste for this place. The scone was very tasty and I would recommend getting it warmed up. I would give this place a try again, but it's not a place I plan to visit again soon.
