Great coffee! Definitely in the top five of places in the city that take their black drip coffee seriously. I also really liked the small taste I had of my wife's Smoked Vanilla Preach Latte, it was perfectly subtle and tasty. On top of that we had a Cruffin ( I don't think it's made in house) and it was very tasty! The place itself was full of comfortable seating which I love in a coffee shop. My son was very interested in the huge row of troll dolls. One wall is a large garage door that was open when I visited and had some nice seating outside. The music was bumping so I'm not sure it would be the best place for a group who wanted to chat, but it was good music. I'd definitely be a regular if this wasn't so far from my home.

We were lucky enough to have Misfit coffee truck at work this morning. I have been to the coffee shop itself many times and was so happy when I saw they were the coffee of choice this morning. they were offering coffee, lattes, a few syrup flavorings, and a chai (which I got). It was perfect for this chilly winter morning. The staff working were so friendly and turned the orders out quick! Would highly recommend if anyone needs a coffee truck. Wish we had it regularly.

Cute coffee shop! Lot of space to sit and relax. Great selection of coffee and espresso beans to buy. They have a unique latte menu. We ordered the charred maple bourbon latte which was so flavorful! Have to check this place out.

I really wish I could have given a better rating. Was finally able to check this place out + felt let down. The positives? Great big space to hang out or work. I think their logo is genius + how they decorate the space to match the vibe. Trolls were fun! The negatives? Worker was unwelcoming.. almost like we were a bother. We ordered two seasonal hot drinks + the temperature was cold when we received them... even though we were pretty much the only ones in the place. We were looking forward to treating ourselves during a chaotic time in our lives and it was underwhelming.

The most amazing matcha latte. Asked for a little vanilla but not too sweet, and it was perfect. Enjoyed till the last drop.

Tasty coffee with a cool vibe. They had good service, but nothing special. The exterior surroundings are decrepit but gentrifying?

Nice lil coffee spot with friendly employees and great tasting coffee options. Would like to visit during the summertime as I did in the winter.

The team was welcoming and friendly. Thanks Cora (sp) for patiently explaining the menu and recommending the Hayden's Basil, a refreshing and balanced beverage, perfect for sipping after a warm walk. Variety of comfortable seating indoors and outside. This is an excellent third space, good for socializing or working. Will be back to try more!

One of my fav coffee shop in the Twin Cities. Great coffee, fun lattes and cold brew (definitely recommend the Nana Cold Brew), and the menu here changes seasonally. The new location has better parking, outdoor patio and an overall better layout inside as you order and wait for your drinks than their old location in Uptown. Service is fairly quick, vibes are definitely more on the artsy side. Love that they kept their signature troll dolls.

My cousin first mentioned Misfit Coffee to me a while ago but they weren't open for a while. Me and mom decided to check it out one day and we have loved it ever since! It's located in a quiet neighborhood (looks partly industrial, partly up and coming with new apt buildings) either way it's a chill neighborhood. They have a lot of street parking. The door was hard to open the first time we went but there is a sign that says to just pull hard. They have outdoor seating right outside the door. Inside it's super cute, colorful and industrial which is fitting. They have a ton of Trolls decor. The first time we went we ordered The Strawberry Shortcake latte & Nana Cold Brew, both drinks were really good. The second time we got the Smoked Vanilla Peach latte and Nana Cold Brew but with cocoa this time. I didn't care too much for the Peach Latte it wasn't as sweet and peachy as I thought it would be, wasn't horrible though. The staff are always nice & friendly. I can't wait to go back and check out more drinks.

A hipster cafe with high speed wifi ~ They had plenty of options to choose from and a wide selection of seats. Great vibe and music. The only complaintnis that the music is a bit loud for doing video calls and virtual meetings but overall an enjoyable experience.

We got a latte (caramel with 2 extra espresso shots) and a nana cold brew. Both were amazing and had the best kind of little crushed cubed ice. The caramel latte was rich but not overly, and the aftertaste of the flavors together was a delight. The banana cold brew tasted like actual bananas -- delicious. I would absolutely come again. Altogether our total was about $15 for two drinks. Very comparable in price to specialty coffee chains, but with tons of special flavors and variety. When we first came in the door flew open and you need to pull it shut for it to actually close. Whoops. There's so much decor and lovely little touches that I was too distracted to pull the door shut and the owner kindly helped. I think the person who helped us was the owner and he was extremely helpful and kind. He told us all about the different drinks we were looking at and had asked about. The drinks were then handcrafted quickly and served by him. We'd totally go back and sit to enjoy the *vibes*. A bunch of free parking too! Make sure you enter in the back, not the side that faces in the street.

Thoroughly impressed by the chill atmosphere (super cool open-garage design) and friendly staff. The drinks menu is creative and versatile. We tried the Strawberry Shortcake Latte and the Nana Coldbrew, both of which were incredibly tasty. I particularly appreciated that the Nana Cold Brew tasted like real bananas rather than artificial flavoring. The workers were super helpful and kind, which made the experience even sweeter.

This place was practically across the street, so we decided to take a breather from the hectic festivites and come here. Immediately we were greeted with cooling A/C and much-needed silence. Cool and quiet... the perfect escape. The place was decked out for pride with lots of colorful flags representing many of the wonderful ways to be queer. Definitely get bonus points for their allyship. I got a bottled Coca-Cola and my hubbie got a simple cup of brewed coffee. They had a reasonably-sized menu with even some smoothies and such listed, as well as a display of bakery items. A chalkboard showed their three seasonal beverages, which looked fun (though not my cup of tea). One of the employees was very helpful when I requested a cup of ice to go with my Coke; I needed the extra cool down after all the time we'd spent in the sun in the heat! We sat at one of the tables and appreciated leaning back into the chairs with back support for several minutes. Whew! Perked us back up nicely. There isn't a ton of space/lots of places to sit and I was kind of shocked the place wasn't flooded with queers, lol. There was quite the line for the bathroom though, according to my husband. The decor is nice and neat. I think I spotted a small selection of board games you could break out if desired too, which is fun.

The coffee shop is small but fun, and there's a nice cozy seating area outside I'd come back for. The coffee was good (though not in my top 10), with some unique flavors. I got the breve capp and it did taste a bit scorched. My daughter's LAB iced coffee was delicious. Service friendly and prompt. Bathroom a bit dirty but shared with other businesses.

The soaring industrial ceilings, massive windows pouring in natural light, dark wood shelving, plants everywhere, books, artwork, vintage decor, and incredible lighting somehow make the whole place feel both grand and peaceful. It's the kind of space where you immediately want to cancel your plans and spend the entire afternoon reading, working, or simply existing. Every direction you look feels thoughtfully designed. One thing I couldn't find online beforehand was whether there would be places to plug in my laptop. Thankfully, there are plenty of outlets, making it a fantastic place to work. Even better, despite its size, the atmosphere stays calm and quiet. It never felt loud or chaotic. The drinks were excellent. I tried the Lime Creamsicle Iced Matcha and later ordered a hot matcha, complete with a beautiful heart poured into the milk. I especially appreciated that they use what tasted like genuine, high-quality matcha rather than the overly sweet, filler-heavy mixes that so many coffee shops rely on. You can absolutely taste the difference. I also picked up two pastries: an artichoke and cheese croissant (I think it was Gouda?) and the coffee cake. Both were delicious, but that coffee cake deserves its own paragraph. It was huge, incredibly moist and rich, and served in a large paper liner almost like an oversized cupcake. I'd happily go back just for that. If I had one wish, it would simply be for the menu to match the creativity of the space. The coffee, tea, and espresso selections felt a bit limited considering how unique everything else is. This seems like the perfect place to experiment with fun specialty drinks and elevated touches. Imagine pink peppercorn on a cortado, mint dust on a cappuccino, unique flavored cold foams, rotating seasonal teas, or other creative finishes. The environment practically begs for a menu that's just as imaginative. The staff interaction was fine but didn't really stand out. When I asked whether they recommended the Lime Creamsicle Matcha, the response was basically, "I mean... it tastes like a lime creamsicle." It wasn't unfriendly, just not especially engaging. The prices are definitely on the higher end, but between the stunning atmosphere, quality ingredients, and excellent pastries, I'd happily return. Backstory isn't just somewhere to grab coffee. It's somewhere you want to linger. If you're looking for one of the most beautiful, calming coffee shops in Minneapolis, this belongs at the top of your list.
