The space inside could use a bit of a facelift...behind the coffee bar was a bit dingy, but there are plenty of tables for various groups to hang out! We got ours to go, so we didn't hang around. The staff were very helpful and friendly during the visit! The coffee was tasty, and well made, although, I was disappointed with the lack of art atop my cortado. Honestly I forgot what drinks I ordered exactly, but they were both holiday specials. One was an egg nog and the other was festive too - I think like a carrot cake with cream cheese cold foam. I remember the cold foam being amazing and the drinks being fine. What was the worse part was the customer service. We walked in about 10 minutes prior to closing. No welcome. No appreciation. Just short lipped service. That's what I remember most. I bought a bogo coffee book for 2026 and see this company in there, but I won't head to this location again. What was the most unwelcoming gesture the baristas did was shortly after walking in, one came over and shut off the lights. There were still about 10-15 people in the store. There's free WiFi and outlets, and a designated parking lot which is great. SEATING/INSIDE I'd never been in here before, and was pleasantly surprised by the open space and decent amount of seating, with a few different types of seating. They also have a glass garage door that would be lovely to have open in the warmer months! SERVICE Service was quick and friendly, and when I ordered my drink extra hot since we'd be walking out in the cold with it, they nailed it. FOOD We didn't get anything to drink, but they had a pretty impressive menu of breakfast items and baked goods. Breakfast sandwiches and burritos range from $8-13. Stopped in to grab a BOGO drink through the Coffee Compass. The location is in a really nice area, which made me excited to try it. I ordered a 16oz eggnog latte and a 16oz salted maple cream cold brew. The eggnog latte was definitely the highlight for me. On a chilly day it was a true hug in a cup and perfect for the season. Unfortunately, the service missed the mark for me. We came in close to closing, which I understand, but I don't think service quality should change just because it's the end of the day. As we were ordering, I watched the gal lock the door and turn off the lights, even though other customers were still enjoying their drinks and conversation, and I hadn't even ordered yet. That felt completely rude and unwelcoming. Will I return? Not after this experience. Operating hours are operating hours, and this visit left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

Staff were friendly, and put my order into my re-usable cup no problem. They even brought it over to me at my table! I had a large iced latte and it was delicious. Other people really enjoyed their pastries as well. They have a bulletin board in the front vestibule covered with flyers, so it's a good place for local advertising. Stopped by quick before the farmers market and they seemed a little understaffed but workers were friendly and patient, and our drink order came out very quickly considering! I got an iced honey oat matcha latte which is one of their specialty drinks - it was tasty but the matcha flavor was weaker than I'm used to. Don't get me wrong, it was still very tasty. My husband got a straight up cold brew and it was nice, more on the smooth side than a sharp fruity bean. Overall, easy little spot to pop into and the drinks were good. What an awesome spot for coffee on a chilly day! I got one of their seasonal drinks, the Maple Sweet Potato Latte and they said it's like a better version of a pumpkin spice latte and it delivered! It's like creamier and more of a subtle/less sweet flavor which I loved, definitely recommend it! I LOVE Jones Coffee! Their drinks are amazing and their cold brew is one of my favorites in the Twin Cities. My go-to drink is the Gingerbread Cold Brew -- there's a really generous layer of cream cheese cold foam which makes it so good. On the weekends it gets super busy and the small parking lot in the back gets really crowded, so it gets hard to find parking. I like stopping in on the weekends to grab a treat and visiting the Linden Hills library right afterwards. read more

Prime location at 43rd & Upton lanes this afternoon nice stop to work for a bit. I wouldn't call it cozy by any means but it's a nice space that can get pretty loud at busy times. A couple tables outside and plenty inside. The service can be pretty grouchy at times, but never bad by any means. The coffee itself can be pretty all over the place. Sometimes it's amazing and sometimes the flavors are just really off. I've had roasts ranging from straight gas station drip to one I'll gladly pay $4 for. They house-make all the baked goods and food. I haven't had their deli stuff but their croissants were not very impressive. Tasty, but had a very bread-like texture and not flaky at all. Worth a stop if you're in the area but not something I'd go out of my way for. read more

Living near Seattle turned us into coffee snobs, so I get very excited when a coffee shop is a 5-star review. They roast their own beans which is what drew us in the door, and they did not disappoint! Their seasonal drink that we had was GREAT. If you could have a spirit coffee shop like some people have a spirit animal, this would be mine. The rose, the cardamom, the lavender. I'm here for all of it. The hot chocolate wasn't very flavorful, more milky than chocolatey. The muffin also tasted more like baking powder than cinnamon and so much of it was stuck on the wrapper, very dry. Such a cute spot tucked away in Linden Hills. I've seen a few different Jones coffees pop up recently, and have been meaning to go to one for awhile now. Well, I finally got to try one out! I went to Linden Hills for the opening of their farmer's market for the season and noticed Jones across the street. I hustled over so I could sip on an iced coffee while I walked around the market. I ordered a vanilla lavender latte and it was delicious! And not too bad price wise either. The inside is simple and cute. The staff were sweet and super quick with making my order. I'd been coming here for three years when I recently decided to stop. They used to be my favorite coffee shop. I work down the road, the drinks were good, and the baristas were friendly. Now, not so much. They have a very high turnover rate for some reason, and they're often training new people who don't know what they're doing yet. Quality is very inconsistent! One day I got a bagel toasted with cream cheese and it was perfect. The next week, the girl making my order smeared so much cream cheese on that it was coming out the hole in the middle, and it was cold and too much and ruined the bagel. Another time the bagel was dry with barely any cream cheese. Sometimes, I'd order the hot cider with pumpkin foam, and they'd blend the foam into it, giving it a silky texture. Last time I went in, however, the barista just plopped the cold foam on top of the hot cider, and it curdled like cottage cheese. I had to throw the drink out. So yeah, I won't be back. Hands down the best breakfast burrito in the metro. Super reasonably priced at $8. The salsa and secret sauce really bring this together and I love the peppery addition of arugula. This is a rating specifically for the new bakery items -- almond croissant, chocolate croissant, regular croissant, etc. When this shop transitioned from Dunn Bros. to Jones, the bakery selection and quality really dropped in my esteem.
