    Honey Spice Latte

Munkabeans is a decent spot in Hopkins! Nothing flashy, more like a cozy and casual neighborhood coffee shop. Baristas were friendly and quick, and the honey spice latte was good.

I walked in Friday morning and was hit with the delicious smell of fresh banana bread. The atmosphere was busy and the chatter of other patrons filled in the space it was warm and welcoming and I definitely felt it. I ordered with ease since the menu was easy to read. I ordered a turkey and apple sandwich along with the drink of the month of August ( the mini donut latte ). After ordering I was worried if I would find seating inside but a table opened up before I even got my drink or sandwich. The apple and turkey sandwich was so damn delicious. The sweet and salty combo really worked well with the Swiss cheese and pumpernickel bread. I loved the mini donut latte it was not too sweet and gave me the kick I needed to start my morning off right. The staff were great you can tell they definitely have a good relationship with one another, there were people catching up with friends, studying or doing work. I also found this to be a good spot to sit back and read a good book, which I did. Although I had to turn up my headphones a bit I really had a wonderful time. This is such a great spot and I love how the community shows up. I cannot wait to visit more often.

Charlotte's web latte (special) with my grad school essays slightly photobombing

Munkabeans is a fantastic local coffee shop! I've been there twice and have tried their iced latte and Charlotte's Web. Charlotte's web is a fall special with whipped cream and chocolate. The chocolate is drawn as a spiderweb. Plenty of space for working and free WiFi, both of which allowed me to knock out a few grad school essays. I haven't tried their food but I'm sure the food is just as great as the drinks. Service is friendly and I didn't have to wait too long for my drink, even though it was a bit crowded today. I'll be back soon!

I love the eclectic/nostalgic decor and furniture. I sat at a table that was like my grandmas 1950's kitchen table. This is one of the only places that had Mexican mocha's and I loved it! They made it extra spicy when I asked free of charge. I got the squash quiche which was delicious! Highly recommend giving them a try!

A must visit coffee shop in Hopkins. The workers are so nice, even caring for pets by letting them inside on hot days and having a water bowl for them outside. If you were to ask for anything on the menu, highly recommend the croissant sandwiches.

This is a cozy spot to grab a quick drink or sit and chill awhile--in fact, I visited on a dreadfully hot day and the Munkabeans a/c did its job! Several tables were occupied by groups and solo coffee sippers. Pleasant music played in the background. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Cold brew on ice hit the spot! Next time I'm in town I'll show up hungry & indulge in one of their good-looking bakery treats.

Really cute coffee shop with quick bites and matcha. I got the cheese bagel with cream cheese - it was delicious. My partner got the egg and cheese croissant with sausage and he said it was one of his favorites. The matcha I wish I got it a bit sweeter. The team working looked like they were having a good time!

    Breakfast Burrito
    Joe D.

Cute cozy spot Downtown Hopkins, enjoyed a freshly made Breakfast Burrito. I would ask them to brown the burrito a little bit if you like it more crispy and firm to grip. I'll be doing that next time I order one. Lots of other freshly made items, baked goods, Lunch Items, plus the coffee selection. You can even purchase some coffee and others items to take home as well. They also offer catering. Next time I want to try their Quiche which they bragged about. Definitely need to check it out, if you've never been. Open since 1996 so a good staple of service for Hopkins. Follow me for more reviews and comment what I should try next.

Pros: Fun, local hipster coffee shop Loved the local art you can purchase Pastries and other sandwiches available Cons: Small space Parking can be a challenge Didn't like the compostable cups - the black stuff got all over my hands; appreciate the spirit of the effort though! Pro tip: Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area to support local! Grab a seat as soon as you can.

I love downtown Hopkins and I love this coffee shop! Came in here for a hot cocoa and a muffin and I was not disappointed. I was greeted by a cheerful barista and there were plenty of tables to sit down and enjoy.

    French Toast Latte
    Megan M.

I tried the drink of the month for October, the French Toast Latte! I got it with almond milk, it was swirled with maple spice, vanilla, and with cinnamon sprinkled on top, it was delicious! They have outdoor space for sitting on Main Street and cozy indoor space. The service was quick and attentive. Don't forget to get a punch card!

    Spinach and artichoke quiche!
    Ali B.

Ducked into Munkabeans for a bit while waiting for the shops on Main Street to open. I loved the art (for sale) covering the walls when you walk in! I ordered a matcha latte and a spinach and artichoke quiche. The quiche was SO DANG GOOD! They offered 6 different hot sauces with it as well, which was great for this spicy-lover. The latte was also tasty and not overly sweet, even with the vanilla syrup I added. It was refreshing after getting overly sweetened drinks at chain coffee shops. They have a great drink menu and variety of food (pastries/muffins and sandwiches). It also looks like they have a parking lot, which I didn't see when initially driving past. As with most cute independent owned coffee shops, it is a bit pricey but the cost is worth the taste! My only suggestion is to add more comfy seating. Aside from one set of couches, there wasn't very much soft seating.

Cinnabon Latte (dark choc instead of white)
    Ingi E.

Stopped by Munkabeans on a Sunday morning and it was exactly what I was hoping for. Casual seating and quick service - it took 20 mins from ordering to finishing my meal. The cinnabon latte was really good and I enjoyed the breakfast burrito.

Also grabbed a coffee while I was here--my americano was reasonably priced, the espresso was great, and the barista, whose name I didn't catch, was super friendly! Lots of tables and space to sit--they were running a Commander event while I stopped in but during a non-event time I can see it being a great spot to hang out and casually play with friends, or even just sit and do some work if I'm in the area. Excited to come back next weekend to actually play here!

So I found Benedict's online and thought it looked like a good choice. The restaurant itself is really bright open and airy. Lots of natural light and high wood beams. The restaurant employs an online wait list, which I love. So you join the wait list online, it tells you how long your wait is and the you can plan your arrival to minimize your wait. I was surprised that on a Saturday, we walked right in and were seated... it wasn't all that crowded (that said, there was a big No Kings rally that day so people might have been busy). At any rate, we were greeted and seated immediately at a nice table. I enjoyed the many options on the menu and also loved that you could order a single specialty pancake if you wanted one. I ordered the classic benedict. My husband got the tot hash. We ordered a strawberry nutella pancake to share. The pancake was good, though honestly the nutella strawberry topping was a bit meh. My husband said his tot hash was not what he expected (they seem to make their own tots and then deep fry them) but he did like it. My benedict was decent, but there was way too much ham and not enough hollandaise. I hate when people are stingy with the hollandaise. Coffee was good and strong. My peach mimosa was fine but honestly pretty small -- I'd be surprised if it was 8 oz. Service was OK. Nothing super major to complain about, but my mimosa wasn't delivered until I was almost through my first cup of coffee. The waitress clearly just forgot about it. She basically said so and apologized. I noted that many tables had lovely little bottles of water for when you wanted to refill your glass, but we did not receive one. It also bothered me a bit that there was a lot of "stuff" on the floor. Trash, bits of food, etc. I know that things get really busy at brunch spots on the weekends. But someone really needed to go around with a broom or a vacuum. It's just not what I expect from a dining establishment where I'm going to drop $80 on breakfast for two.
