The place is somewhat hard to explain - sort of a sports bar feel, and sort of a family restaurant, but however you classify it, they have really good food. Menu is good sized and there are plenty of options to satisfy most people in your party. There even appeared to be some Asian style dishes, which could explain the name. Our waitress was just awesome - and she had a dinner special menu as well. After looking at all the options, we ordered some apps (calamari) for the table and I went with a short rib special they had available. A glass of red and I was off to the races. Again, the available wines by the glass and bottle were somewhat unexpected when looking at the decor and well, the Ancient Peaks Cab hit the spot perfectly. The short ribs arrived and I have to admit, I was pleasantly surprised again as the presentation was spot-on and the food was done perfectly - it was excellent and I destroyed it. This place was so good, I ended going back the next night with different co-workers who also suggested it and and the same exact experience. Win-Win for Franco. The difference in service, portion size, attention to detail, and having food arrive fresh and hot was pretty noticeable. However, it was a bit tougher than I would have liked. The fries were plentiful and they were excellent. We had to take the chocolate cake home because we were too full to eat it, but it was dense and had a deep chocolate taste, but was a bit too sweet for my taste. My wife ordered the Wednesday special, which was beef stroganoff ($24). It had tender cubes of beef and the sauce was very rich. She enjoyed it very much and I agreed. However, it was too much for one portion, so we took home about half and enjoyed it the next day. She also ordered a Caesar Salad, which was excellent with a very good dressing. The service did have some lapses in it. I had to ask for a steak knife because the steak was difficult to cut with the original knife. This is usually automatic. The waitress was also at a loss when I asked her to describe an ingredient mentioned on the menu that I never heard of.
