My buddy's Chicken Fried Chicken. Tasty and generous portion. But please, don't tell his cardiologist!

Afternoon visit with a buddy for a late lunch. Clive's is a very large place with a full bar, booths, tables and plenty of TVs. Our server was pleasant and helped us with highlights of the menu (this was our first visit). We started with the Pretzel bread app which arrived looking good and hot. They were tasty and a good start to the meal. I had the BBQ sandwich (see pic) which a just ok. The meat was not well "pulled" and was a bit tough to chew. Flavor was average...nothing outstanding or better than other BBQ available in the Twin Cities. My buddy went with the the Chicken Fried Chicken...a large portion covered with plenty of gravy (see photo). Our entrees arrived promptly and at a good temp. Overall, thanks primarily to good service, the visit to Clive's was fine. While we'd try differerent items from the large menu, we would likely stop in when in the area.

Went here for a birthday party about a year ago and had a few appetizers that I thought were good, this place is bike riding distance from us and we had planned on going back again before now but sadly we were both very disappointed. LOVED the delicious popcorn they had in the popper but it ends there, we ordered nachos and there was very minimal cheese but LOTS of onions and jalapeños not impressed at all, dry and uninspiring. We also had the Quesadillas which were actually ok, just not wow worthy. I am so disappointed in myself for forgetting to take pictures. We heard the waiter telling the table next door their most popular thing on the menu is their chicken fried chicken. My cousin said the same thing when she heard we had been here to eat, so maybe we will give it a try again and order that.

Atmosphere 5, service 3, food 3. Here for lunch on a Tuesday a tidge after 11. Told the waitress it was our first time here and asked for a minute or two to look at the menu; I guess in her mind that mean come back 15 minutes later. I ordered the honey-crispy chicken melt and it was good, but once I stole my guy's pickle slices to incorporate, then it became delicious. My tater tots were not cooked enough. He ordered the grilled reuben and proclaimed it the second-worst grilled reuben he'd had in his life; that the meat tasted like it was doused in liquid smoke and the sauerkraut had too much onion flavor. He pretty much just ate the complimentary popcorn, rye bread from his sandwich and his waffle fries. We really did like the feel/vibe of the place, but the service and food were lackluster.

The corn dip was delicious. The chicken wings taste very basic. The Hot honey has no spice. Our server Sam was very nice and attentive. The ambiance feels like any other bar and grill.

Another checkin. Had Friday night dinner here with the sis. Made reservations on Resy last minute, and they had open slots all night. We chose 6pm. We arrived early and only had to sit 5 mins to be sat at a high top. Ordered drinks right before happy hour ended. Sis got the classic fish n chips.... yummy. I love Cubans, so I wanted to try their HOT HAVABA CUVAN. I also am a fan of aiolis, and this sandwich has a Jalapeno pickle aioli. That's where it gets its kick, but it's a good kick. My lips were burning, and it was only exaggerated with my winter chapped lips. The only thing missing in the Cuban was mustard, but I really didn't need it. It would have fought with the Jalapeno pickle flavor. And the pulled beef was hot, soft, and juicy. You'll need napkins for your arms as it goes running down your hands. Or you could be proper and use a knife and fork. *Boo! I learned my lesson last time and got the tator tots. 5 stars! Perfectly crunchy and soft at the same time and well seasoned. I added seasoned sour cream, and it was (better) than I remember (plain SC w/ SS added to the top). Must be a new recipe... thank you! We got wonderful service during our stay. We don't linger, so we got in and out in about an hour. Quick bill and to go container for lunch tomorrow.

Good food. Fun bar staff! And the food was delightful. Definitely stop if you're around for a soccer game, baseball, dance or any reason! You can grab just about anything here. From burgers to breakfast.

    The walkway we can't block.

We did have a great bartender, he was friendly and I'm sure it's not his fault that this place could use some good wine and a good cleaning.

We ordered the lettuce wraps, Korean street noodles, a mocktail, and a non Corona. (They're down with the nons, which is a GREAT addition to any menu. Owner, thank you for that, I desperately needed to trick my brain into thinking I was drinking a real beer tonight.) The menu is diverse, they have simple known dishes, and different styles of dishes you haven't tried before to mix it up a little. Give the hare a try? Absolute yes. The ambiance is calm, music at a decent volume, and lights are low, and the food and drinks are plentiful. This is an easy first date spot, late night food spot, or chill evening to gather with friends! The staff was helpful, warm, and super prompt. Will be back, great vibe!

There is a large parking lot with free parking. When we walked in, the place was pretty dead. Typically not a great sign around dinner time. Our server must have been new because he had very nervous energy and kept forgetting things. We couldn't quite figure out the vibe for this place. Is it Minnesota? Is it 90's? It just felt off. The food: the wings were pretty decent. I wish they had more seasoning on them! The pad thai was very average and left us wanting bolder flavors. The tacos were stuffed and almost too hard to eat. The flavors were good. I will say, the portions here are very large! Overall, this place just seemed "off" from start to finish..." Unfortunately I would not recommend this place

They all appear polished and professional. I ordered the Oliver Burger, the Shrimp and Cheesy Grits, the Spinach Artichoke Dip, and a Stuffed Nutella Cookie. The server recommended I warm the cookie slightly in the microwave and enjoy it with coffee. The food today: spinach artichoke dip is served with grilled bread.... this was delicious right off the bat when the bread is still hot and slightly crispy. However, after the bread sat in the container steaming, the experience wasn't as good. I would recommend thinner pieces of bread with a bit more char on them (like grill marks) and a couple more pieces of bread. I mean, 4 pieces of bread? C'mon man! An okay appetizer dish. Was it worth $15.99? Absolutely not. Shrimp and Cheesy Grits with creamed greens: shrimp were seasoned beautifully but unfortunately were overcooked and rubbery, and the creamed greens were not cooked nearly long enough, they were fibrous and hard to chew, so I was unable to eat them at all, so a waste altogether. The stars of this dish were the charred lemon (like the bread should have been;) ) and the cheesy grits. The grits were divine and I wish there was more of it on the dish and less of the nasty greens. Seriously, switch those ratios around and it would be better. Next , the Oliver Burger: decent, cooked medium, no notes really. The waitress was right about the cookie, it was very tasty with a little warm up and my coffee .

The restaurant was understaffed - the bartender was not only running the bar but also serving the entire dining area. We sat at the bar and waited about 10 minutes before being greeted. We also overheard a nearby table voice frustration about the slow service. We're pretty patient, so it wasn't the end of the world, but it was noticeably slow. That said, once we were helped, our server was friendly and attentive. I ordered a Spicy Margarita and my husband went with an Old Fashioned. My margarita was on the weaker side; not bad, just forgettable. My husband enjoyed his Old Fashioned. For food, we tried the Bang Bang Shrimp, Thai Chicken Lettuce Wraps, and the Crab-Stuffed Portabella. The standout was definitely the Bang Bang Shrimp; we both really liked it. The lettuce wraps and stuffed mushroom were fine, just not dishes we'd return specifically for. The overall vibe was calm and low-key, and the staff was kind despite being stretched thin. I'm glad we gave it a try, but it's probably not a place we'll be rushing back to.
