Spicy Grapefruit Fizz

Food 5/5 - Absolutely delicious! My favorite dish was the scallops, the sweat pea-corn risotto was amazing paired with the scallops. The tots appetizer was packed full of flavor and just the right size to share. The bison steak was cooked to order and the T-Box hash that comes with it is delicious. Also love the mocktail list! Service / Ambiance 5/5 - We got in on a busy Saturday night and the service was great. We got our food within a timely manner. Another great dinner at T-Box!

Raspberry Habanero Wings

Located up Highway 65 in Ham Lake you will find Elevage Hospitality restaurant "T-Box". I have been to most of their sister restaurants (Roadside, Bricks, Oliver's, St Anthony Village Pub) and have always enjoyed them so definitely wanted to check this place out too. Very similar to the other places. Slightly more "upscale" if you will but not snuffy. Very casual and relaxed but also good for a date night. I sat at the bar and was greeted in an appropriate amount of time. The place wasn't too busy and the staff were mostly all congregated, talking amongst themselves. I ordered the Raspberry Habanero wings. I always see Mango Hab wings which are a personal favorite so I was full of joy to see a Raspberry option. The wings were nice sized. I think they could have been tossed in a touch more sauce and maybe cooked just a tad bit longer but they weren't bad. The flavor was delicious, however, lacked heat. The bartender actually made a comment about how I had not drank much of my water while eating such a spicy wing and I told her I didn't thing they were spicy at all. She seemed to be in shock by my comment. Either I have a high spice tolerance or this just wasn't a spicy batch. Heat levels are known to be inconsistent with peppers. But again, a very delicious flavor overall. I would absolutely go back. The menu consists mainly of burgers, pastas, and flatbreads. All of which I would like to try.

Stopped by here for a couple late night drinks. Considered ordering an appetizer or dessert but the kitchen was already closed. Bar menu was small however I'm sure the bartender would make off-menu drinks as well. Bartender had a great personality and was enjoyable. I had both kid their Old Fashioneds and both were good but I was a little put off to see they were pre-made and just poured over ice when ordered, maybe I'm just being picky but when paying $16 for a drink it's nice to watch it being hand crafted. Hoping to go back for a meal soon, will update my review to reflect after we do.

A pretty decent experience overall, but a little surprised by the prices. The burger (although good) didn't seem like a $17 burger... and the 6 small shrimp at $18 for their appetizer seems a bit much, especially relative to anything else around and their location in Ham Lake... Pretty decent food, just don't expect bar prices..

I had the fish and chips and it was awesome. My had the steak fajita bowl. I think it was very good definitely would go again.

We were both very hungry, and really like the food would definitely go again There was one new waitress for the whole area, and she did very well very friendly. Definitely would like to see her again.

Prime rib

Had the prime rib Tuesday special. It had more fat than meat and was overly seasoned. I should have sent it back. Potatoes tasted like paste.

A great spot for a nice dinner. Glad that they have the specials menu with another steak option. Outside seating is nice in the summer.

I love the pink and green, and the place settings are gorgeous. Bonus: the team is super fast with clearing and bringing replacements so you always have a clean plate. Add in huge windows that brings in tons of light, and you have one of the most photogenic eateries in town. Dario's beverage menu is wonderful, and I especially want to draw attention to their extensive selection of non-alcoholic options. In addition to house-made sodas and creative cocktails, they have a wonderful list of dealcoholized wines--awesome news for anyone who is looking for a zero proof drink. As for the food, Dario knocks it out of the park with a menu that offers options for all tastes. The menu is designed to share, and the variety ensures that there will be something for everyone. The first two dishes that ai sampled were the Gem Lettuces, which our server described as "a Caesar salad on steroids" and the Morel Mushrooms. The Gem Lettuces were delicious--the zippy vinaigrette was better than any Caesar I have had before, the cheese was a fluffy, savory, and salty delight, and the puffed farro was a pleasing alternative to the usual croutons. Bonus: it's fish-free! I'd say that it's less a Caesar salad on steroids and more what happens when the Caesar salad next door goes off to college and has a glow-up. The morels were served on polenta and complemented with Madeira and tarragon. They came with a confit egg yolk. The presentation was strikingly beautiful, and the flavors pure and harmonious. The morels were cooked perfectly and went beautifully with the wine and tarragon--it was a great dish for spring, and everyone enjoyed the layers of texture and flavor. For our pasta choices, we had the English Pea Triangoli that Lu recommended (thanks Lu!) and the doppio. It's easy to see why Dario is known for its pasta--these dishes were amazing. The English Pea Triangoli was otherworldly: sweet peas, snap peas, onions, mint, and pea sprouts come together with butter to make a nostalgic little bite of heaven. It tastes like spring. Sicilian pistachios add crunch and another layer of sweet and salt, and the lightly steamed vegetables and fresh pea shoots and mint also added layers of texture and freshness. Positively superlative. The Doppio was also gorgeous: one side is filled with ricotta and the other sunchoke. Honey adds sweetness and the hazelnuts toastiness reminiscent of browned butter. The rosemary complemented it all. For my dessert, I had the Earl Gray tea cake. It had a very pleasing crumb and subtle sweetness, and the lemon whipped cream was the perfect accompaniment. The sprinkle of toffee cookie added a lovely caramelized crunch, and the bright acidity of the rhubarb was preserved, making for a juicy and refreshing burst of flavor in every bite. Splendid! Thanks to Dario for a wonderful evening!

Issac Becker's 112 Eatery is iconic in this neighborhood and helped make the warehouse district a destination in Minneapolis. By 2028, these streets will be beautiful, reconstructed to tie all the downtown hoods together. Now, they're a little rough, but to my surprise, 112 Eatery was packed on this Saturday night in early October. Fortunately, we had reservations. 112 Eatery allows patrons to make reservations at the bar. Yippee! I have urged restaurants to do this for decades. Our corner seats were waiting for us, and we squeezed into the tight space. 112 was Isaac Becker's 1st restaurant, and it is not large, but the decor will remind you of Bar LaGrassa, which is enormous. Derek was our server/bartender, and he was fantastic. He made our evening interesting and fun. I saw Khinkali dumplings on the menu and my knees went weak. I tasted these morsels at several Georgian restaurants, including the award-winning Chama Mama in Chelsea, NYC, and they're friggen amazing. Alas, the Khinkali at 112 are not pan-fried, so they have a mushy rather than a crispy texture. They tasted delicious, but paled in comparison to the ones at Chama Mama, but 112 isn't a Georgian restaurant. I would still order them again. The halibut was very good, but next time I would order the dish without the mashed potatoes. Because the fish sat in a puddle of mashed potatoes, some of the flavor of the Halibut was smothered. 112 makes some of the best French Fries in the city. They are not to be missed. We took desserts to go and enjoyed them at home while watching a recording of Wisconsin beating Michigan State. Go Badgers! 112 Eatery is a fun restaurant, and I was happy to see it crowded on a Saturday night.

From the hostess who graciously held the doors open for us in the 95° heat to our incredible server, David, everything was outstanding. We started with cocktails. I had what may have been the best bourbon Old Fashioned I've ever tasted, and my wife enjoyed a wonderfully refreshing cocktail (whose name I, unfortunately, can't remember). We began our meal with the roasted Brussels sprouts. Normally, I'm not much of a Brussels sprouts fan, but I happily cleaned the plate. My wife and I shared the 12-ounce filet mignon, cooked medium rare, and it was absolute perfection. Chef's kiss. David recommended a bottle of wine to pair with our steak. It wasn't inexpensive, but it was worth every penny. But wait... there's more. As incredible as that wine was with the filet, it somehow paired even better (yes, I know that sounds impossible) with the slice of heaven they call chocolate cake. I'm sure it has a much fancier name on the menu, but "slice of heaven" seems more accurate. If you've read my other reviews, you know I have a tendency toward hyperbole. If there were ever a time to lean into it, this is it. THIS MEAL WAS FANTASTIC. THE AMBIANCE WAS PERFECT. THE FOOD WAS EXCEPTIONAL. AND THE COMPANY WAS DIVINE. We will absolutely be back--and when we do, we'll be asking for a table in David's section. (He works Tuesday through Friday.)

I started with the tequila and mezcal Old Fashioned, and it was fantastic. It was well-balanced, beautifully presented, and garnished perfectly. The food was equally impressive. The wings were delicious--crispy, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly. My only small note would be that the celery was a little limp. The Caesar salad has officially been added to my regular rotation. The jammy egg was cooked perfectly with a rich, yolky center that was still easy to slice. The Parmesan crisps were thoughtfully sized, adding great texture without being so large they scraped the roof of your mouth. The salad was evenly dressed, making every bite flavorful. Overall, excellent food, outstanding cocktails, and warm, attentive service. I'll definitely be back.
