Came in at 6:20 on a Wednesday night, it wasn't very busy. There were two of us in our party. We were seated right away, the hostess brought us water and was very cordial. After 20 minutes of not one single server stopping by to take our drink order or even greet us, we got up and walked out. I've been here a couple of times in the past for banquets and the food has been great with excellent service. But after 20 minutes of no recognition, I won't be back and I won't be recommending it anymore. read more

Met 2 girlfriends here tonight, it's been a few years since we ate here, Don't know why, I kind of forget about this place. Anyways traffic up 169 was absolutely terrible at 5:00!! Pour is in a little strip mall. They have added black curtains and some cozy seating areas from when we were here last. Nice updates. Our waitress was very accomdating until she got busy then we felt we were forgotten. We ordered the Drunken shrimp , bread with olive oil and the avocado toast to start with. The drunken shrimp is just as good as we remember the saffron sauce is sooooo good! but there were 3 of us sharing the apps and it only came with 2 crostini's we asked for a 3rd so we could each have one but little did we know that one very small skinny piece of bread had a $1.00 charge to it. The steak bites with their homemade blue cheese sauce was to die for melt in your mouth!! I even asked if we could buy some of the blue cheese sauce, she said no but that she would bring us another dish of it but she never did. My girlfriend ordered a cranberry mule drink, she was charged an extra $1.00 for the cranberry. We also ordered the goat cheese with sauces that were very delicious with an ample amount of crackers. We got the chocolate Ganache cake to share for dessert. But............ the waitress never took our empty dirty plates but showed up with the dessert with the mess on table, I asked for extra clean plates but she never brought them. Everything we ordered was very delicious, but as the night progressed our service got worse, we asked for the bill but she never came back to get our payment and we had questions my girlfriend walked it up to the bartender with our payments. 2 of us were paying cash and one a credit card and we were charged an extra fee of $5.18 for her using a credit card. That is when we saw the $1.00 charge for 1 piece 3/8" bread and the $1.00 for cranberry mule. Talk about nickel and diming. We would love to go back but unsure if I can get past some of these things. Also, now looking at the bill even closer, none of us had a mimosa and we were charged $8.95 for one.How did we miss that? All added up we paid $16.00 more than we should have. CRAZY!! This bistro is nice! Restaurant one side and wine store on the other side. I met up with my sister for dinner, she arrived first and already started with a flight of red wine to taste. I ordered the gnocchi with grilled chicken, it was delicious with creamy white sauce. Service was great, the restaurant wasn't busy so the server was not far from our table. Having visited the other Pour location, this was my first time here. You will immediately see the similarities in the atmosphere, but also the menu. This visit really stood out as I tried the bone-in pork chop and it absolutely blew me away! Flavorful, tender, just all around perfection. I would absolutely recommend - and this coming from someone who doesn't often order a pork chop as there are usually dishes that stand out much more. In this case, it would be a mistake not to spend $25 on a pork chop and get a $50 steak! Service was solid, good wine selection. Only real complaint is that one glass of bourbon was $25 when that same bourbon was on a flight for $30 with 2 others - sadly, I didn't know the individual price but it really made that seem egregious. read more

Tucked into an unsuspecting strip mall is what could be described as an upscale wine bar and bistro. After multiple visits for various things like date night, post work drinks, and meeting with a group of friends I still don't know how I feel about Pour. It's pretty nicely decorated inside. They do a great job transporting you from the strip mall exterior but it feels kind of cheap and extremely dark. I've always had great service. All the servers and bartenders alike are always very friendly; prompt and quick. With that said, in the handful of visits I've made, I've yet to see this place busy. The food is pretty good. Given the ambience and menu my expectations were quite a bit higher than usual. With the prices it's hard to be blown away with the quality of food. It's underwhelming and way too expensive. My suggestion would be visiting for a few glasses of wine and sharing a few small bites/appetizers. read more

This place is amazing! I was just visiting MN for work and a coworker suggested we go. Now I'm back home and I do wish there was a place like this near me. The black and blue steak bites were so tender and juicy and so delicious. Not a fan of blue cheese, but this blue cheese, OH YEAH! Bring it! Got the goat cheese balls that were so yummy! Especially in honey! French onion soup, the best I have ever had. Finished every little drop! Service was great! Atmosphere so cozy! Can't wait to go back to MN. We had a nice quiet date night here on a Wednesday. Had the truffle gnocchi- it was bomb. I'll come back just for that! Our server was too young to drink to recommend a wine so I had her ask the bartender (I gave her some pointers of what I had in mind) and ended up finding a new favorite. The hostess, Tess, was also wonderful and bussed our table throughout our meal which was nice because we ordered 2 apps one at a time and then our meals and then dessert. We had dinner there a while ago and had the filets and were happy with our meal so thought we would try it again. Food was very disappointing. I had a burger that was not good. I think the bun was toasted, but the outside of the bun was not even room temp. It was cold and dry. Burger patty also had a weird taste. We also had the salmon, which had a very strong salmon fish taste. Would not recommend either of those and probably won't go there again. My cocktail was good! read more

Let's knock the bad thing out of the way first, price. She's spendy. Not like crazy spendy, but like Brick and Bourbon pricing. The men's bathroom was clean, but it was, interesting given how awesome the rest of the place looks. Anyway, everything else was fantastic. We went on a Friday night, walked right in and were able to be seated. Ordered the parmesan truffle fries for an app and they were some of the best fries I've ever had. Ordered several drinks and everyone of them popped in our mouth. Even the kombucha beer was delicious and fantastic. Ordered the burger and lobster mac. I wouldn't call the burger cooked medium rare, but it wasn't overly done, more of a medium. It was super tasty. I swore up and down that I would never order seafood in the Midwest but golly was the lobster good. The mac was surprisingly spicy for my wife and we ended up switching food, but I wasn't in the slightest upset about it. Couldn't go wrong either way unless you don't like spicy foods. After hearing a lot of good things about this place finally decided to go and give it a try myself. It was the perfect place for a last minute dinner/ catching up date. Place is very cute and cozy. Food is amazing. I got the Drunken Shrimp Pasta. It was so good I finished the entire thing. My friend ordered the Lobster Pasta. She loved the dish. We ended our meals with the Chocolate cake with the chocolate ganache. It was the perfect ending to the great meals we had. Staff is great, friendly, professional. Pro tip for Pour: it may be a wine bar, but the real star of this place is the cocktails! Pour has a great cocktail menu with more options for craft creations than most restaurants I've been to. If you speak to Madison and tell her a bit about what you like, she has some great secret menu suggestions! As for food, we just got the fries that night, and were they ever delicious! Instead of bacon jam, we got the spicy jam on the fries. I highly recommend it! As for the restaurant itself, the interior is spacious and comfortable. We were able to sit at a table where we had plenty of space between ours and the other tables. One of my least favorite things about restaurants is when the tables are uncomfortably close together and you're nearly bumping elbows with whoever's seated near you. I love that this isn't an issue at Pour. Pour was a fun experience and I will definitely be returning to try more cocktails and maybe delve into the food menu as well! read more

My experience here is from an event that was held in their party room. Probably isn't an actual "party room" but it's a separate room from the rest of the restaurant. We did a thirty-one bingo night. There was about 25 of us sat very comfortably in the room, probably could have had a few more honestly. My only complaint is the table configuration. One long table in the middle of the room and a few 4 tops against the wall. Everybody seemed really happy with their food, however the price point is a bit higher than what I would like to spend on a meal. I got a few different drinks, two of which were the lemon drop and the espresso martini. The lemon drop was the perfect amount of sweet and no harsh vodka flavor. The espresso martini was not too sweet and had the perfect blend of flavors. Both of which I would highly recommend. For food I got a few appetizers. The rib tips, which were seasoned well and very tender. And the risotto balls. Done perfect, not too much breading and the Ellsworth cheese mixed in was the perfect blend. The group also got all 4 of the charcuterie plates. Every bite I took was yummy. The service was also really good. She came through just the perfect amount and aside from having to auction off the food to the whole room when it came out I was really impressed with the service. I had shrimp pasta that had a great depth of flavor with a vodka type based cream sauce with a slight kick of heat and was served with a lightly garlic infused toasted bread. My partner had steak bits which is one of her favorites. Large steak bits that are nicely charred and cooked to perfection. This establishment only uses prime beef or better in all the dishes and sources most all foods from local sources. We actually started out with a coffee infused chocolate martini that was delicious. Continuing our focus on trying nearby restaurants that we've somehow avoided for years, we were once again very pleased with the outcome. Our experience at Pour was very nice. The space is very nice for a small place in the north burbs where chain restaurants dominate. As one would hope given the wine theme here, the selection was good. I particularly like that several flights are available for wine and spirits. For appetizers we had the Avocado Wontons and Bleu Cheese Souffle. The Wontons were good; the Souffle was really good with nicely balanced flavors. There's a big selection of small plates. For an entree, my wife had the Monte Cristo sandwich and really liked it. I had the Lobster Gnocchi, and also really like it. It was smaller than I expected, but was really a perfect size after having two appetizers. We'll be back. read more

This restaurant is hidden in plain sight in the middle of a huge, boring looking strip mall. We decided to order 5 appetizers (or small plates) to try a variety of flavors. Everything we ordered was very good with an interesting mix of savory & sweet flavors (see photos). My friend had a glass of the Hell Yeah! house brand cabernet. She enjoyed it and would have tried more but she had a long drive home. As an ignorant wine guy, I was impressed with all of the varieties. But my dinner guest is way more knowledgeable about wine, and she wasn't very impressed with the wine list. She thought it would be more extensive. Also, she wanted more information about exactly which wineries supply the house brand wines. Be prepared to drop some dough. A glass of the house cabernet was $16.50. This place looks like nothing. It's in a strip mall. I've thought about trying it for years and we finally tried it last night. To say it was good is an under statement. The food was phenomenal. Superb. Delicious. The only frustration was that we didn't realize everything was ala cart so we left hungry. The working class kid in me was frustrated that my $24 lobster pasta was a small portion and that I didn't get a salad or bread with it (just one piece of crostini). Man what a great addition to the city of Champlin. Pour Wine Bar is pretty incredible. This is my third time going and I have yet to try something that was not incredible. A few standouts: 1. The bolognese pasta 2. The strawberry ribs 3. Lobster pasta Apps. Avacado wontons Gnocchi The place has a great bar with very good mixed drinks and of course wine. I've taken a few friends here including a company event and everyone attending also enjoyed it very much. My only wish is they had bread service when you sit down. This establishment is a bit hidden as it's in a strip mall but it is totally worth the trip. We dined on a weeknight and had great service, the staff were all polite, attentive and helpful.
