I have been to Willy McCoys a few times in the past and only ordered their nachos (which are really good!), but today I tried an entree and some drinks. I ordered the fish and chips and was very impressed! The breading was crispy, the fries were a bit soggy, but the coleslaw was fantastic! The drinks on the other hand were weak and flavorless. Would not recommend if you plan on sitting at the bar. The ambiance is fun and upbeat. It's pretty noisy though, so if you're looking for a nice sit-down dinner, it may not be the place for you. Kudos to the workers though! Very fast service and super kind.

Stopped by Willy McCoy's with some friends around 3:30 on a Saturday. Wasn't too busy and they had 2for1s on most drinks (not my margarita unfortunately). We sat outside and it was very nice. I ordered the BLT and added a side of seasoned sour cream. Highly recommend both. The margarita was strong and good, I'd get it again.

This place had delicious cooking food smells wafting into the parking lot as we arrived. We barely got here before the dinner rush on a Friday and we seated immediately. It was happy hour and they have two for one drink specials. One thing to note about this special is they bring both drinks at the same time. The bar area is huge and they have a second bar outside. We ordered steak bites as an appetizer. They came out quickly and were well cooked and the sauce was tangy. My husband got tacos and I ordered a salad. I had a hard time deciding on a salad because there were several I wanted to try. I really liked the one I chose with pecans, apples and feta cheese. I got grilled chicken which was cooked nicely and the salad was delicious. The only complaint my husband had was the sauce was too thin. Our service was great. Our waitress seemed like she really knew her job and the girl she was training picked empty dishes and glasses from our table without being directed to. The food came out very quickly which was surprising since there were so many people eating there. As we were leaving there were lots of people waiting to get in.

Something for everyone, the menu is large. Something it seems for even the pickiest eater. Large big bar and two of ones are well. Stopped for lunch when working in the area.

Designated parking for Curbside Pickup (COVID 19)

What to do for a birthday dinner when you're not ready to eat out during COVID 19? Order Curbside from a neighborhood favorite. I've never been disappointed in their service. And their food is pretty good. Placing our order over the phone was easy and fast. Order was ready in 15 mins. Gave color, make & model of car and was advised to pull into curbside spot. Server came out (in mask) within 2 mins of pulling up. He had our order in a bag and grabbed my CC for payment. He went inside to process and returned within 5 mins to sign my receipt. Again... fast and easy. I ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch sandwich with waffle fries and seasoned sour cream. Negatives: not really flavorful, kind of blah. Had to add either ketchup or SSC to give it something. Too many tomatoes (I'm not a fan!). Positives: the chicken was battered, not breaded. I prefer battered. Um... bacon!...yum. I love grilled sour dough. Crispy yet soft. And the fries and SSC hit the spot. Mouth on fire after done eating. Sis ordered the Southwest Chicken Wrap. This was the better of the two. Loaded with flavor, not very spicy. Spice came from the SSC. Her mouth was on fire too by the time we were done. I'm glad I tried the CBR sandwich but will probably not order it again. So many good things to try on the menu.

Another great experience - 4.5 stars. This isn't the kind of place that I usually enjoy very much. But Willy McCoys is so good at what they do, they've won me over. It's hard to not love them. I've visited 2 other locations but this was my first time trying out Andover. I went on a Sunday afternoon, hoping to hit a lull in the action. Wow, I was wrong! It was busy as hell. Fortunately, I managed to snag a spot at the bar and avoid a long wait. 1. FOOD: Willy McCoys is a Minnesota bar/restaurant, a small chain that seems to be adding locations on a slow but steady pace. Overall, I'm really impressed. They obviously spend a lot of extra effort on the food. They really specialize in burgers other hand help types of foods but they also have full dinners, lots of appetizers, soups, and desserts. I really enjoyed my red pepper feta cheese dip. My burger was great and cooked perfectly. The fries were very good, above average, obviously made in-house. The chorizo potato soup-of-the-day rocked! And last but not least, my house-made brownie with ice cream was ridiculous (in a good way)...both giant and excellent. It was only me chowing down. I definitely had leftovers. 2. DRINKS: They have a big selection of beers on tap and even more in bottles. I tried a couple of off-beat varieties on tap - yum! There's lots of liquor too including a variety of specialty cocktails. I'll probably try one of these next time around. 3. SERVICE: The service was excellent. Despite being busy and at 100% capacity, the bartender was very attentive, friendly, and totally on top of his game. His timing was perfect. The food came out quickly, in the correct order, and the timing was excellent. Impressive. This place is obviously run with military type efficiency. 4. PRICES: The prices seem to be reasonable and in-line with what you get. In my humble opinion, it wasn't cheap but it didn't seem too expensive for what I got. The cost seems to be on-point, especially in this time of ridiculous inflation...especially with food. These guys definitely have their act together. The food and the service standards seem to be high. They've always been consistent, regardless of the location. I'm a little stingy about handing out 5 stars reviews. I save those for the drop dead, awesome, knock your socks off types of businesses. But Willy McCoys is close. I'm going with 4.5 stars for the Andover location. Thumbs up! -Maxx

Willy McCoy's is off of Bunker Hills (not far from Bunker Hills Regional Park) and a good place to stop after a bicycle ride through Bunker Hills Park. It's always 2-for-1 on their beers and alcoholic drinks, so buyer beware! They bring both drinks out at once (so if you're a slow drinker, your other beer gets warm) instead of staggering them. Luckily we came with our biking gang, so it was easy to "share" the extra beer with them!

Upon entering, you will notice a small bar with an adequately stocked bar, featuring about 8 taps and a number of canned and bottled beers for your liking. There are plenty of high-top tables and booths to accommodate a decent crowd. MaGillycuddy's Bar is one of those places that instantly makes you want to settle in and stay awhile. The atmosphere strikes that perfect balance between cozy and relaxed, thanks in no small part to the awesome tin ceiling-- it kind of gives this place a vintage charm you don't see often. The crowd is just what one would expect, just regular folks enjoying a libation and watching the Wild game. And they have pulltabs!! We settled in on a high-top table and ordered beers and our lunch. The Nashville Hot Shrimp is a must-try. just the right amount of heat, and packed with flavor. The Guinness cheeseburger is an open-faced burger topped with fries, Guinness cheese sauce, and, of course, bacon. That was a bit messy, and was enjoyable, but there are some other items I will want to try before going back to that entree. Between the solid food offerings, the friendly vibe, and the cool interior, MaGillycuddy's has all the makings of a local favorite. If you're anywhere near Aonka, do yourself a favor and stop in--you won't regret it.

They did not have the extensions as they do now. That used to be the patio. The extension where the wall used to be had a big mounted TV and a poster of the MN Wild. The party room had maybe 5-6 trophies in there and a couple of jerseys. I am so happy to see this local bar get a complete makeover. I love seeing all the pictures of athletes that have come through Andover. This bar is a good representation of what a community means. The food and service are always great when I come here. All the people give off great energy and will always want to spark up a conversation with you. We ordered the Tequilaberry Salad (I make this regularly and this one was pretty good), a 9" Popper Pizza, and a 14" Pizza Pub Special. The salad was good, the seasoning was definitely underwhelming but it's made for "everyone" so I adjusted it at the table. The pizza was AMAZING. The popper pizza is a must! I wish we would have gotten the large of this so I had leftovers! The Pub Special was good, the crust was crispy, but if you take your leftovers home and put them in the fridge I would STRONGLY suggest that you put it on parchment paper because the crust fuses itself to the box overnight. Overall I was very impressed with their food, and I will most definitely be back.
