Nice ambiance, good service, cozy, good music, and nice wine selection. Added to a very nice evening (though of course the company was also top notch but that's not in scope of this review). AMBIANCE: nice and cozy. The live music was nice. The furniture and decor was also elegant. WINE: it's hard to give a full review here because we only tried one bottle-- a Sauvignon blanc. But it was a good choice. If all the bottles are as good as this, then I truly do appreciate the choices of wine here.

The Troubadour.

Excellent wine choices. Judy (only one working the night we were there) was amazing and VERY knowledgeable on wine. Intimate setting. Live music too!

Wonderful ambiance, super knowledgeable and friendly staff. It is our happy place ( we found out our offer on a house got accepted while sipping some wine at Troubadour). One thing I would maybe change is as much as live music is amazing and always fun I don't think such a small joint needs amplifying system and speakers. It makes it a bit hard to talk sometimes.

Best!!!! Best vibes, staff, and wine. All around 10/10 and a must visit. Super intimate vibes but such a fun atmosphere, not too serious. Truly love this spot and the wine is great

I had been here a few years ago and just found it so cute and quaint but honestly didn't remember it existed. I went back this week for a young professionals event and remembered how much I loved it and that I need to go back asap and make this a regular spot for me. I had one of their red wines and LOVED it. So good and really a positive experience. The staff is so nice and the owner is just one of the coolest guys I have ever met. It is on hennepin so parking is tight but that is all of uptown so wasn't a surprise. I ended up finding parking right across the street. It was pay parking but super convenient. They have gender neutral bathrooms and some light snacks as well. Overall, I will be coming back and recommending this spot to friends.

I've walked by so many times, and finally had a reason to go when a friend of a friend was singing on Tuesday night(s). This place is so cute and cozy and quaint--you walk in an automatically feel cozy, welcomed, and part of a charming group of chill weekday live music-listeners. The place is small but comfortable with couches, good chairs, and string lights. There was just one guy serving the place, and it honestly made it feel so welcoming and neighborhood-y. He was very efficient and kind, and knew a lot about the wine offerings. The reason this place isn't a 5 for me is because it's a bit out of my price range to visit on a regular basis. It's good wine, yes, and of course they have to mark it up to be able to stay up and running. But at average $13 a glass or $55 a bottle, it's for a little bit older crowd than us early 20s cheap girls. However, the waiter was very kind to tell us about the off-menu specials they do--when they rotate the menu, the ones that go off the menu are offered at $40 a bottle. We split between 5 girls and each paid $8, which is what you'd pay at any other place. PLUS it was really good vino. The decor is cozy, like a coffee shop but for fall and winter weeknights when you need a glass of wine. They have tons of books around about anything from astronomy to happiness to artifacts from India. They also have a bunch of records and even Cards Against Humanity. Troubadour has live music every single night, which ROCKS. I highly recommend Lora who sings on Tuesday nights. The group that sings before her are a blast too. Good for coming to unwind and relax!

I've wanted to try this wine bar for the past year. It is delightful! I came on a Thursday evening and had an 8pm reservation, but it was just me so I snagged a spot at the bar. There wasn't an empty table, so I'd recommend one if you're coming on a Thursday-Sat. The wine was delightful, although I'm not sold that some of the pours should be $13-18-I think it's a bit overpriced. It was $65 (before tax/tip) for 3 glasses & a small cheese plate. But the owner/manager is really nice and I got amazing service solo at the bar. The performer that night was good, I think he's there every Thursday. I also got a small cheese plate that was tasty! Overall I'd be back but maybe to split a bottle of a solid instead, may be more worth the cost?

Ah, Troubadour! I can't say enough wonderful things about this establishment. If you're looking for a nice date spot without a meal this is the place. We ordered a bottle of wine and a charcuterie board to share between three girls. The board is pricey, but thoughtfully curated and had high end selections. Make sure to visit on a night with live music! They post frequently about their entertainment lineup on social media and also include the schedule online.

Seemed a little overpriced for what we received. I'd return again, but only for a special occasion or promotional event

The pour-your-own wine concept is honestly so much fun and super convenient. I love that you can choose exactly how much you want from each pour, which makes it perfect for trying a variety of wines instead of committing to a full glass. We shared a charcuterie board that was amazing and loaded with a fun variety of things, perfect for snacking over wine with friends. There really isn't anything else quite like this in the Twin Cities. It somehow feels like you've escaped Minneapolis for the evening, which makes it such a fun spot for a night out. The wine selection is great, and the food is surprisingly really good too. They also offer lunch and brunch options with sandwiches, salads, and of course their charcuterie boards. On top of that the service was fantastic, super friendly and attentive.

We got takeout on this occasion which was slick, albeit a bit tricky due to parking in the linden hills area by this restaurant. I got the turkey in the hills sandwich and the tomato soup. Both of these were hits and were a good amount of food too. My mom got the same sandwich with the chicken wild rice soup which wasn't as much of a hit as the tomato but was still decent and then my sister got a veg sandwich with the tomato soup. Overall I like the lunch special and think it could be perfect with a sandwich and salad on a summer day

SPACE There are a few 4-tops on the patio in front, a handful of bar seats inside with a small, cozy indoor table footprint, and a handful of 2-3 tops on the back alley. SERVICE The bartender told us to go find a spot on the back alley, so we did - but not sure we did things right, as our server walked past us a few times without acknowledging us. Service was friendly but limited. DRINKS They had a nice cocktail menu, but I opted for an Aperol Spritz. My husband chose off their limited NA menu a lavender honey lemonade, and it was a bit too sweet for him. I'd love to see some mocktail options here! FOOD We just got a few shareables since we were heading to dinner after, but their sandwiches were making my husband's mouth water! We got: Pickle Brined Wings - amazing flavor, salty and dilly, but I would have liked quite a bit more char on them: they were pretty pale. Minnesota Sushi - my husband loved this! Served with Ritz crackers, and it's the perfect little shareable dip.

Note, they do NOT take reservations so it's first come, first serve. Our original wait time was around 1 hour but it ended up only being 35 minutes. Parking is quite limited but due to eating later in the evening, we were able to get a parking spot in their lot. Broaders' has both patio and indoor seating. Being the middle of winter, we sat inside. It's not an overly large restaurant so be prepared to wait during busier meal times (like dinner on the weekends). Our waitress was very nice, answered our questions, and helped us select the perfect wine. Shortly after ordering our wine, they brought out a complimentary bread basket which was delicious! We asked for butter and more of the foccaccia because it was SO good. For our mains, we got the Greek Salad, Ravioli Di Zucca, and Spaghetti Con Polpette. WOW! I don't have a single complaint. The greek salad was flavorful with all the mixed vegetables and dressed perfectly. The Ravioli Di Zucca was buttery and delicious and the Spaghetti Con Polpette was probably the best spaghetti and meatballs we've ever had. Somehow we had room for dessert and opted for the Tiramisu. It was good, not great. I didn't love that it was cut in the shape of a pie vs. a square -- Something about that threw me off. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend going to Broaders' Pasta Bar! You won't regret it!
