I am finding myself at Outpost more and more frequently and for good reason. From the second I walk in I'm instantly whisked away to a up north country lodge vibe. A bar/restaurant filled with blue collared regulars catching the game, jammed to some tunes, and drowning their sorrows with some good ol' fashioned bar fare. The service has always been excellent. Wait staff and bartenders all friendly and inviting. Small town, local bars can I often be somewhat intimidating but Outpost makes everyone feel at home. Daily specials and more than reasonable happy hour makes it easy to indulge without hurting your wallet. Daily features include half priced burgers on Tuesday and half priced wings on Thursday, to name a couple. And happy hour, runs until 7:00! I've enjoyed a number of items on the menu and have been disappointed by anything. The wings are some of the best I've had. Burger is what you would expect from a small town country bar, pretty damn good. Pizza, probably could be better but not bad for sharing. This is a spot I will return to again and again. This is probably more like a 3.5 star, as I am a huge proponent of wings and the Outpost has a good selection of flavors! They aren't standout, best in class... but they're sizable with plenty of choices and get the job done. More of a wing and beer while watching the game type place, but nothing wrong with that! read more

Cannot recommend enough! In town for fun and was pointed this direction for breakfast. The southwest hash browns were legit but the service was even better! We had four guys who might have stayed up a bit late the night before and we were revived here!!! read more

Great parking, Cheri was our server and she was very attentive to our table of five. She was patient so we could see what we wanted and helped us so we made choices we would like. Food came up in a timely manner, I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with fries and it was really good. My friends ordered tacos and potatoes and they seemed equally happy, thanks Cheri for making our trip there worth wild. Okay well as you see I rated this 4 stars and there is multiple reasons for that. I rated this lower but really it's a 4.5. And that's only because the noise... whenever I go eat there it is so unbelievably loud and I can't hear anyone talking to me so unless you go there in the morning it is really loud. But other than that the food is great and especially the breakfast food the Service is great and the waiters are really friendly one waitresses name is Mickey and she is like a family friend at this point so if you go there in the morning there is a 40% chance you will get her. Good selection of bar food & tap beers. We were a party of 6 (3 couples NOT sitting by our partners) and our waitress got everything correct, including the 3 separate bills. My dry rub wings were as good as any expensive wing place! The only hiccup was when the men ordered tap beers, they got TWO of them (happy hour)....not that they complained. read more

I really wanted to like this place. Cool vibe and not a lot of options in Ramsey. My wife and I stopped in for breakfast and they served my wife the wrong eggs. DONT GO HERE. My boyfriend, friend and I went here to celebrate my birthday, and we wanted to just have a good time and mind our own business. My boyfriend ordered the Mike burger and didn't like it, so he wanted to send it back and get a different one. The server refused and made him keep the burger, no exceptions. My boyfriend and I were getting angry because he hadn't even touched the burger because it looked unappetizing, and all he wanted was his money back. The server refused, and she looked my boyfriend straight in the face and dumped his burger in the trash and ran back to the kitchen yelling about "TABLE 16 IS TRYING TO START A FIGHT" so this prompted a group of 10-15 old men to run at us and sucker punch my boyfriend. My boyfriend had to defend himself and broke a glass on the guys face so he went to the hospital. Bottom line, our server was a nasty old lady who was disrespectful and The opposite of courteous, she also made a group of old men attack us FOR NO REASON. Keep in mind we are 23 year old KIDS. Got this place recommended by a local. We had originally gone elsewhere however they were closed and this gentleman in the parking lot when we were leaving suggested it. I have to say I was not too keen on going to a bar and tavern for breakfast but I was hungry!! It was 10 am and the place was relatively busy. The server greeted us pretty much as soon as we sat down. A very warm and welcoming gentleman. He offered us drinks while we perused the menu. Hot and delicious coffee arrived almost immediately. He took our order shortly thereafter. Once the food arrived we were very impressed by the amount of food. We both had the "everything skillet" and fried eggs. Eggs were perfectly executed and the ingredients of the skillet were fresh and plentiful. The server was attentive and filled cups without being asked, but not annoyingly over attentive. I've been going to Jr's Outpost for many... many years and it's always fabulous. The atmosphere is very welcoming and feels like a small town bar, but has so much to offer. The owner is a great guy and really cares about his employees and customers, something very rare these days. The food is great and not the typical cheap bar food. My favorite is coming in Tuesday mornings for an amazing breakfast and suburb service when the Angie/Josh dynamic duo are working. Josh is a breakfast master and makes my table's special orders perfectly! I know it's not Burger King, but he makes it our way... and actually makes poached eggs in a pot and not a microwave! A lot of places get lazy and nuke the eggs.. yuck! If I want rubbery eggs I'll pick some up from the magic store! Angie is seriously the best! She makes sure you're taken care of, she's very personable... and I look forward to her goofy 80's trivia as she floats about the bar getting work done. These two make a rockstar team!! I lookforward to Tuesday breakfast meetings here! ;-) All the staff are great, but Angie and Josh make a great team during breakfast time which, is why we love coming in during this time. Food is very good here, problem is the language used by customers. About a month ago we had a great breakfast but had to listen to three people in the bar use every cus word posible. We called and talked to manager about language, he said he would talk to staff. So had another great breakfast today, this time one guy in bar cussing very loud. Our waitress told us she was not happy about customer. Just like last time, no one on staff tells guy to leave or clean it up. If they rely on customers to tell other customers to clean up their act, you could have more serious issues. Please have a meeting with your staff about trying to improve the experience for all customers. read more

This place definitely has a redneck vibe, with lots of country music and up-north cabin style decor. Super casual. I don't mind the country thing. I've been here twice to play Bingo. Typical towny bar. Unfortunately the service was incredibly slow. We only ordered soup and it took over 20 minutes to come out. Our waitress never checked in on us, we had to wave her down every time. The saving grace here is that the food was decent and we had fun playing Bingo. My wife and I have been coming here for 2 years now and I always look forward to the wings this place is pretty popular on wing night. unfortunately they've gone to a new supplier on their boneless which is my preferred wings. very disappointing hope they go back to the old ones they there awesome.
