great food at reasonable prices. The burgers are a 1/2 lb. and juicy. They also have good chicken wings with different sauces or dry rubs. The teriyaki flavor is great. read more

Back for the famous delicious cheeseburger. My sister and her family live in the area and we decided to grab lunch to go Sunday afternoon. I got the cheeseburger with extra grilled onions and extra pickles. They really know what it means when you ask for extra, yay! We also got an order of wings which I believe are only sold on Sundays (cooked slowly on Saturdays). Wow, just wow! Wings were perfectly tender and flavorful. Buffalo sauce was great as well. I'd get those again. Cannot go wrong with this spot. Prices are reasonable as well. Twine is your neighborhood bar. Where your name is known and the locals know one another, but welcome the newbies, so dont hesitate to give it a try if you're in the area. I love the casual picnic vibe here. read more

Twin Point Tavern - Cheeseburger w/extra grilled onions and extra pickles and fries. - Dive Bars Near Me - Lake Elmo, Minnesota

Great place for early drinks opens at 9am. Bartender was super friendly and had a good crowd at 9:30am. Looks like it was just remodeled also read more

This is my go to for great burgers. Wonderful staff and clean tables. Onion rings are very good, along with Bloody Marys.

Local tavern that offers reasonably priced pub grub. The dining area was clean and the food better than I had anticipated. This was our first visit, so it was a learning experience: come in & pick out a numbered table spot. Then order your food from the window. They will bring your food to your table & give you a paper bill. You pay at the bar. Different, but must work. Be sure to check the board to see what are the specialities of the day! Good beers on tap! I had a tapped beer too-a 1919 Root Beer! read more

Interesting description on Yelp. "Dive Bar" This is a really nice place for lunch. The club sandwich, chicken dinner, and fish sandwich were all very tasty. The beer selection is good, also. read more

I've been to this place a handful of times. Usually during the day to grab some fries and a beer. Solid small town bar with friendly service. Order your food at a window and your drinks at the bar. Great value for the price. My kind of place! read more

Food and service was great. It's a remodeled local dive bar landmark but great place to stop and have a drink and some food.

My boss has talked about this place for a long time and so we had our team lunch here today. It was very busy and loud but the food was so delicious. I had the California Bacon Cheeseburger, it had lettuce, tomato, and Mayo with the cheese and bacon. Also had pickles on the side and I had fries. The burger was a perfect pink and the bacon was amazing. It was a fun afternoon outing and there was a liquor store attached in case you needed to take anything home with you. read more

Bar tender just looks at you when you need a drink and then cleans or puts dishes in the washer. No sense of urgency. 2 bar tenders. No rhyme or reason as to order at the waitress station or on the rail. Nothing pleasant when you visit. Good food though. read more

Food was fine. You stand in line to order and they bring your food out to you. In order to get a drink you need to go up to the bar.

Good food and a good value. We have consistently received good quality food and it is not overpriced like so many places. Neighborhood joint and a little noisy, but highly recommend. read more

Just a little drinking establishment to grab a few simple pours or a beer. Very much like a Legion. You order your food at the window and drinks at the bar. They tend to cook up some specialty items from time to time like french dips and broasted chicken. They are very much a local bar where the locals hang but I didn't have any problems with anybody. read more

Awesome place and great food!! I love the set up and the way they treat their customers.

Really good food, big portions and a very fair price. Bartenders are very sociable. Taco Thursdays are great, but all the food is wonderful. read more

Went in around 3pm yesterday. Customers were roudy even though it was early in the day, no servers at all. I finally approached the window to the kitchen to ask the man how I can place an order for food. He rolled his eyes at me and said, One moment. I left. The parking lot also has major giant potholes. I wanted to give this place a try but I was totally turned off by the bad service. read more

This place is diiiiiiiiiiiiceeeeeey!!!! But it's all good. I went to college in a small town in southern Minnesota (Go Gusties!) so I cut my drinking teeth in stereotypical small town dives and my appreciation for them hasn't diminished over the years. Oh yeah...I'm a dive bar connoisseur! To kick off Memorial Day Weekend '08, the man and I opted to stay close to home and this spot in Lake Elmo was less than 9 miles from our plasticky townhouse in plasticky Woodbury and seemed like it might be worth checking out. And it was. These are the top reasons I'll be back: --there was a dude with a mullet sitting in the corner! --hellooooooo dive bar! --REAL made-from-scratch burgers (and even my well-done burger was juicy) --PBR on tap It feels like the middle of nowhere, and if you're coming from anywhere other than Woodbury, Stillwater or Grant, it is. As for ordering etiquette, when you first walk in the door you walk up to the window, tell 'em what you want and which table you'll be sitting at. They bring the food out to you and when you're done you take your slip to the bartender to pay. It was super informal, ultra chill and just what the Friday Night doctor ordered. I can't wait to come back some night and over indulge on beer and tequila shots. read more

I love small town bars and this is the definition of a small town bar. If you're not a regular, you are probably going to get some looks from the patrons when you walk in, but as soon as you order a beer or a non fancy alcoholic drink that goes away. This is definitely not the place for you if you are looking for a martini or something along that lines. Think more along the lines of a jack and coke. They have a pretty decent beer selection on tap(Nordeast, Grain Belt and Stella to name a few) and most beers will run you around $4. They do serve food, but you need to place your order at the window where they'll give you a number to place at your table. I have not had the food here, but my friends have nothing but good things to say about the food. So if you are looking for place to hang out with friends or to catch the game, I would definitely recommend this place. read more

Bartenders only care about locals. Locals only care about themselves. DON'T TRY TO MAKE FRIENDS HERE!! They are pull tab hungry and not friendly. read more

Picked up burgers and beer today. Still the best in the valley! Order by phone and pick up in the liquor shop. This is somewhere I want to be around when we get over all of this. Deserves our support. read more

We ate burgers and had a few drinks here on Friday evening. The place was BUSY! The prices are incredibly reasonable; 2 half-pound burgers and an order of onion rings were $18.99. It's hard to beat that, especially because we really enjoyed our burgers. The place is your typical small town bar with a kitchen. As has been mentioned, you order you food at the window, sit back down at your table and they bring your food. We will e back! read more

I stopped in for lunch last week and had an amazing walleye sandwich. The walleye filet had to be close to 8 ounces and was lightly battered and crispy. The hoagie bun it was served on was brushed lightly with garlic, and the fish was hanging off of the ends of the bun. I usually have a burger here as they are outstanding but I saw that the walleye was the featured sandwich of the month and gave it a shot. The chef delivered the sandwich to me after I placed my order at the window. He asked how everything was and I told him it may have been one of the best walleye sandwiches I have ever had! The bartenders were super friendly too, especially Bob who seemed to know everyone's name and had their drink of choice ready for them before they even sat down. Twin Point is also on board with the new tap beer fad as they have over 14 beers on tap to choose from. ( I was working so I had to go with a Frost Top root beer in a frosty mug ) When I stop by next time I will probably go with a Dale's Pale Ale or Bells Two Hearted. This may be my new " Cheers ". read more

The best burger in town! Thick and juicy , the bacon was cooked to perfection. We had the sandwich special which was a delicious roast beef grilled on Texas toast oozing cheese. It's a no nonsense place with reasonably priced adult beverages. I need to come here more often! read more

I love this place. If you grew up in a small town, you had "The Muni". This place is is just like every small town's municipal Liquor store and bar. The food is very good; much better than you might expect. I had a burger, cheese curds and a beer. People of all ages and the kitchen and bar staff are wonderful. Take some time to live a little with real people in a real hometown bar/restaurant. I highly recommend this experience. read more

Great burgers. They don't wait tables; so grab a beer at the bar, find a table and order your food at the window. It was confusing at first, but it works. My wife rated the burgers at the top of her list, we'll be back. read more

Just had lunch here today. A super friendly gal sitting at the bar let me know that all of their food is good there, especially their burgers and soup. And she was spot on accurate! I ordered the bacon cheeseburger on her suggestion. It was excellent! I also was able to order a half order of fries, which was good because the burgers are half pounders. The general vibe of the bar was fun and upbeat. I'll definitely be back! read more
