    Cognac tasting.

Took my family out to check out some speakeasy bars and we made it in time for this place. We walked down the steps and looked at one of the mailbox for the secret password. The owner is really nice, he gave is a tour and history. Then lead us to the bar towards the back. The ambiance is like 1920 era, secret bar behind a post office. The kitchen was already closed, so we ordered cocktail. The bar tender gave us a sample of the different cognac she had on the shelf to see which one was good. We liked the one bottle on the left, however it was an expensive shot.

Thank You for a delicious and entertaining evening of drinks & appetizers, we loved our (1st) visit and looking forward to our next visit with flappers in tow!! Our Bartender, Katie, welcomed us back in time to an era of the '20's! Great ambience, we didn't want to leave! #katie #smoker

Shhhhh...it's a hidden speakeasy hidden practically across the street from the Anoka County Government Center! Actually it's downstairs in the old Anoka Post Office! First you find the entrance, then knock at the door. The gentleman guarding the door will help you find the "password" to get in. It's like going back to 1920's Prohibition Era! Our friendly door guide showed us around! I can't wait to find some flapper clothes & come here and try their appetizers with a Bees Knees cocktail!

First time there- we wanted to go there before we move farther away next month. Very cool space, knowledgable bartender and delicious craft cocktails.

This place is awesome. The food is so delicious. New menu, new chef, new decor, but the bartender, David, is STILL HERE thank GOD. Full menu available at Nucky's on Wednesday nights. Get the maple bacon old fashioned.

    Delicious guava beverage.

My husband and I came here for his birthday, and then we did dinner after. It is a fun bar in the basement of the old post office with the prohibition era vibe. You enter through a back door disguised as a post office. You need to know the secret code to get in! I found it on their Facebook page. One of the partners answered and showed us around and explained the history of Nucky to us. There is a full bar with lots of delicious drinks. All along the walls were pictures from that time period. It was fun. Dress was business casual but some guests were in flapper dresses, which makes it even more fun! If I lived closer I'd definitely go back more. On the main level of the old post office was a restaurant, Club 300, which we went to after.

Delicious drinks and awesome atmosphere! Had a great time.

The wait at the table was longer than we anticipated but luckily for us, there were some bar seats available. The bartender at the moment was Cameron. He gave us the rundown on the food and drinks and made several recommendations. We started off the evening with the Don Corlone. It was very tasty and also an Andorran Martini. Both drinks were delightful and were semi-sweet but not too sweet. The mixture of the Don Corlione had a perfect blend of citrus and sweetness. We then ordered the pastry puff poppers and they were amazing. The sauce complemented the pastry puffs and the filling left you wanting more. To finish the night we ordered tiramisu, cheesecake, and some bubbles. Thank you Cameron for the amazing service and experience we hope to be back again soon.

Considering we wanted earlier and we took the reservation time they gave us, it was disappointing to not get to eat. The drinks were really fun (bartender was killin' it) and dessert was included in the kitchen so not available but did manage to finagle one of the 4 options and we got the strawberry cheesecake (friends not a strawberry fan but we were hungry) because they wouldn't serve the others or they were out. Really poor planning for such a busy 'date night' weekend. I loved the speakeasy feel and will go back for that. Hopefully we'll get to eat there the next time. Experience a plus. Food a minus Staff, doing their best Bartender - was a mover and a Shaker was definitly on their A game.

The decor is fun with things to look at with every turn. We just missed happy hour but we were here for the wings as we had heard so much about them. These are not your saucy, messy wings. They are full of flavor and so good! As someone who prefers the messy experience, I would still order them again! Go up one spice level from where you are comfortable as the spicier they are, the more flavorful they become. I normally am very mild and got one mild flavor and one hot. The hot was amazing! The mild was good but not as good as the hotter one. My husband had the boneless wings which were also wonderful! The server was attentive and kept our drinks full. Over all, it was a great experience. Next time I will try some of their other food. The pizza looked so yummy as it was brought out to the table next to us. It is impossible to leave here hungry!

I get there, and you have three distinct environments between the chill large downstairs bar, the slightly-divey upstairs bar area where live shows occur, and the upstairs patio. If hearing each other talk is a priority, opt for the downstairs or patio areas. They're known for their wings and mini corn dogs. We get a large wing order of five flavors to share between five people along with corn dogs and tots. We loved the massive platter that the wings come out so nicely displayed on, and friends were impressed by the size of the wings. The corn dogs and tots were good, too. After dining downstairs and settling our tab, we went upstairs to join the merrymakers dancing and singing along to the live music upstairs. After their last set, we went outside to continue the night and didn't leave until the very end of the night. Super chill spot that sits just on the edge of being a dive bar. Very cool servers and bouncers. I'm not into bars, but I'd absolutely visit this spot again!

My unforgettable experience at Blue Goose in St. Cloud was created by my interaction with the kind, beautiful bartender, Winters! You can feel Winters' passion about mixology as soon as she asks what you would like to drink. And if you were lucky like me who encountered her and her lovely coworkers/friends around her. It's akin to the scene in Lost in Translation when Bill Murray stumbled on the locals in Japan and being invited to have a great night out with them. I ask winters for a cocktail after being super happy with her spirit suggestion. And she made me a drink that is tart and just right amount of sweetness that leaving me wanting more. I was lucky to get a tour of the speak easy, which further enhanced the night with the shock and awe that one feels when seeing this place for the first time. The history of this place is carefully preserved and enhanced by the Easter eggs that is all around the speakeasy. The tour of the speakeasy was definitely a cherry on top. But what makes this evening an unforgettable one for me is Winters and her coworker-family. It was unplanned but winters and her crew turn my otherwise mundane evening into an unforgettable night. So stop by; try you luck. You can't lose with Winters' cocktails and company.

We went back today and while it was still good, definitely wasn't as good as it was last time. The jerk chicken plate removed the beans, changed the rice, and got rid of the sauce so it wasn't as good though it was a bit less dry than last time. They also removed the Ropa Vieja from the menu which was our favorite. My husband had the Cuban sandwich and was not impressed. The fries with it were good. The drinks were still great. Service was friendly but slow (drinks, food, and waitress all slow). Another in our party got the blackened salmon which was really good. Unfortunately, I was so nervous they would remove or change the menu to be worse, which is a common theme I've noticed with 4 different restaurants by these owners now, so I was so bummed to see that's exactly what happened. Such a cool vibe, great drinks, and a really cool new patio - but the food needs a bit of work - bring back the Ropa Vieja and the better jerk chicken!

I entered through the west side of the building that noted Lucky's, fear not, when I entered and told the host I was looking for the Mudd Room she gave me precise directions to get downstairs! Once downstairs I came upon the nice single toilet ladies room. I proceeded in to the bar, asked the blonde bartender where the music would be? She pointed to the stage @ the end of the bar and said it could be loud right by the speaker so she'd recommend sitting a few tables away. She said the parties near the stage were tabbing out if I wanted to sit there? I said I would take a seat @ the end until they were through. Shortly after I sat down the very friendly brunette server brought me a glass of ice water... thanks! She remained attentive all night, filling my water three times.
