plain croissant, nutella croissant, strawberry croissant, and chocolate & banana croissant

My kids favorite weekend morning mix right now is the strawberry, nutella, chocolate & banana, and plain croissants. The folks are always so friendly and they continue to add new bakery items to the counter case it seems like every week.

    A must try!

This charming café offers a little taste of Paris with their array of delightful sweet and savory pastries and beverages. They also offer sandwiches and banh mi. The place was clean and quiet enough to carry on conversations. The service was a little slow but friendly. I liked the way they displayed their pastries. Everything looked delicious. There were shelves for bread and loafs but there weren't any when I visited around 11 am. I recommend trying their amazing fruit mousse cakes shaped like fruits! This café is a great addition to Apple Valley!

The food is amazing here! Everything is a 10/10. The service is quick and friendly. Nice place to sit down, relax, and take a bite of deliciousness. Me and my son make a trip here which takes about an hour and 25 minutes from wherwee we live. I recommend the mango mousse, passionfruit mousse, cherry black Forrest, fruit cup, raspberry cup, and any croissant. Their Bahn Mi is good too!

Cafe de Paris is still in the soft open phase. It looks very promising. They will have their official Grand Opening on Saturday, August 16th. The staff are still getting up to speed and don't know all of the ingredients in the sandwiches yet. They say that their Banh Mi is Vietnamese style but they do add mustard. They offer several types of sandwiches. We tried the chocolate eclair and almond/chocolate croissant. The chocolate eclair had a nice chocolate pastry cream and a solid chocolate top. They may have been made yesterday as the eclair shell was not crisp. These need to be made daily for the best quality. Still, it was very good. They offer other types of eclairs too. The almond / chocolate croissant had a very buttery croissant base and two batons of chocolate. It needs more of the frangipane (almond cream) and then it would be exceptional. I had to hunt to find some. Beverage selection is mostly coffee, which I don't drink. A few more beverage options would be appreciated. We didn't eat in because of this. It is nice to have a French Bakery in Apple Valley. There were several dessert options I will have to try. It is a lot closer than Patrick's for us. Come and support thos new business.

Just another "ghost" bakery reheating and reselling par-baked and frozen wholeseller products. Larger selection than at a supermarket, but the quality is about the same. Will stick to real bakeries who make their goods from scratch, like Patisserie 46 or Rustica Bakery.

New cafe in Apple Valley and I had to check it out! I went on a Saturday around 11am, plenty of bakery items still stocked, which was a nice surprise. There was a bit of a line, but the staff kept things moving quickly and were super friendly. I ordered a hot vanilla latte and a cherry danish, both were excellent! The latte was perfectly balanced (not too sweet) and the danish was fresh and delicious. The cafe has lots of seating, so I was able to grab a spot and enjoy some journal time. Cozy atmosphere, great service, and tasty treats. I'll definitely be back!

I had tried to get in on the grand open and the line was SO long. Glad to come in today and be one of only a few guests. You can sit inside and enjoy the morning sunshine or there a few comfy chairs near the west entrance. I ordered the lemon mousse cake, quiche Lorraine, coffee eclair, leek croissant and a Vietnamese coffee so I could get a sample of the many offerings. The cashier was patient and kind as I made my selections. All items were boxed and bagged to go. There are plastic cutlery and paper plates should you require or want to sit inside. I'm a sucker for anything lemon and the mousse did not disappoint. A pleasing lemon curd surrounded by a lightly flavored lemon mousse on top of a shortbread round bathed in a beautiful meringue. A wonderful mouthful of not too tart and not too sweet. The shortbread was not dry which I appreciated. The eclair was less lovely. While not bad, the coffee flavor was dull and the pastry cream filling seemed grainy. Could it be because I had just tried the mousse? Maybe, although it was as not as good of a "mouthful" as the other. The quiche Lorraine was good. I actually was surprised it was made with pâte brisée and not the croissant dough. The crust was a bit over cooked and the filling, while nicely caramelized on top, was a bit runny. Good flavor with the onion coming through. My favorite though was the leek croissant. Excellent flavor throughout, not heavy. The filling was perfection and melded with the light fluffy layers. A++. The Vietnamese coffee was strong and not overly sweet and was the perfect complement to the pastries. Before leaving I grabbed a croissant and bag of day old bread. The croissant is the size of a large hand and was croissant perfection. Will be back to try the bahn mi and more of the visually stunning masterpiece pastries. One last comment, there is an up charge for using a card. Small business is hard and margins are tight. I can only imagine how interchange fees charged by visa, etc. can erode profit. Cash just isn't where we are as a society anymore. I'm not saying the fee is wrong; I just don't know the right answer. A conundrum really: how to balance the small biz owner and the consumer distaste of an up charge to simply pay?

I went back the next day because we enjoyed it that much. It's busy yet not loud, it's fairly big but every seat is filled, the pastries are amazing, I enjoy trying new things, and they sell day old things for much cheaper so I enjoy bringing them home to my family. Well done!!

This cafe is worth the hype! When I went there was a bit of a line but it moved pretty quickly. They have a display case of their pastries and everything looks delicious. You order at the counter, then they will bag it or plate it up for you to enjoy. Each item looks meticulously made and the flavors don't disappoint. I bought a few items to share - chocolate croissant, ham and cheese croissant, fruit macaron and chocolate mousse cake. My favorite was the ham and cheese croissant. They also sell coffees here to enjoy along with your pastry. Welcome to the neighborhood Cafe de Paris! I look forward to going here again!

Went in to check out this new spot. Signage is pretty poor as I did not see anything outside of the building when I went so was not sure if I was in the correct location. They had a handful of drink options but decided to try out a large sandwich macaron with fresh raspberries which as not overly sweet and not super heavy really hit the spot with the flavor/filling ratio. The floral addition was very beautiful. Hopefully the signage will be up soon so others can try out there items.

I love having a French Bakery so close to home. We got our pastries to go. When we got home we cut the ham & cheese croissant open & stuffed it with a fried egg and there was plenty of room to do so. It was quite hollow as there wasn't a lot of ham & cheese but with the egg, it was perfection. All the pastries were delicious. My favorite was the strawberry one. The purple passion fruit one was sour and I puckered up a lot eating it. My husband loved the mango one because the outside shell is white chocolate and the thin crunchy exterior gave it more depth. The passion fruit also has that slightly crunchy exterior. We've never had bread pudding and weren't sired what to expect? Eating it cold I picked up banana flavors and it was really dense and heavy. I was craving whipped cream as I continued to eat it. So maybe adding some whipped cream would have been the cherry on top for me. The almond croissant, my son took home, but by the looks of it, I'm sure it was perfection! If you like fruit tarts, you'll like the mango tart. It was really good. They have seating inside and you can order coffee drinks to go with your pasties. There's a generous parking lot as it's in a little strip mall.

Went during their grand opening. Nice to have a bonafide patisserie with a fusion of Asian flavors and options. Love that they have unique flavors for their croissants like double chocolate croissants, banana chocolate croissants, lots of eclairs flavored options (will have to come back for those). Very excited try the French baguette, looks super crispy and not those super skinny ones. Now I don't need to travel far to Rustica for my baguette cravings. They also have cafe food such as banh mi, coffees, and other drinks.

When offering drinks, I asked about the kind of teas they had. Too bad they don't even have an herbal tea on the list. I ordered the thick bacon and eggs. The bacon was really good. The eggs were perfect. However, I asked about replacing the potatoes with the fruit. Because of allergies, I asked what kind of fruit they serve. I expected a surcharge to change to fruit. I was not told that there would be an extra surcharge to leave out my allergy fruit and go with only one kind. This was bad on the part of the server. They only had two choices of bread and no choice of gluten free bread. That severely limits the choices of someone sensitive to gluten. My husband ordered the Harvest Scramble. Luckily, they were able to leave out the green peppers. Interesting that so many dishes had green peppers in them. He enjoyed the eggs, but ordered the fruit, instead of potatoes. He said he would like the fruit mixture which had melons, pineapple and one blackberry. He ordered the wheat toast which he said was not memorable. All in all, we enjoyed the experience with a number of flaws. They need to tighten up their menu and make sure that people with special nutritional needs are attended to carefully.

I immediately started looking at coffee shops that I could relocate to in order to work. I had been wanting to go try Smiths for a while but the opportunity just never presented itself despite being just down the road. I arrived and the driveway leading to the parking lot was lined with cars, but I was able to find a spot in the parking lot after a minute or so. It was definitely a full lot for sure. The location is absolutely adorable as this is a historic house. It was once a Dunn Brothers, but I do love that it is its own thing now rather than a chain. They had a outdoor patio that people were enjoying but it was a bit chilly for working and sitting outside, one person even had a dog which I LOVE! Inside the front door you are greeted with a welcoming counter that you can order. I opted to try the salted caramel iced latte. If you are consuming there (which I was) they give you a number to bring to your table and they bring the drink. I really liked this idea especially in the aspect of not having to stand and wait for a drink. The price was a bit high (7.55 for a 16 oz with $1 tip), but then again everything is getting expensive these days. I walked back to the seating area and there are essentially 3 rooms downstairs, I walked through all 3 to see where working would be ideal. I went upstairs but there was a woman in the room so I assumed it was a group that was meeting or something so I opted to not investigate further. I found seating downstairs in what felt like the quietest part, but there were a lot of people there talking and the acoustics were not exactly fantastic. I did have a call which I took via teams and air pods and discovered the sound in the room was actually really not awesome for a meeting as it was quite loud and the wifi was not strong enough to support the video on the teams call. So would I recommend working from Smith, not if you have a meeting, but if you are looking for a place that has some background noise, I guess... However this is certainly a place that is perfect for meeting someone and enjoying breakfast or coffee and I love that. I did not order food this time, but everything I saw get delivered looked delicious. I also noticed they have a pizza night on Thursday nights and immediately made a note of that for a date night with the hubby.
