Really great lattes here and a super cool atmosphere. Lots of history in this building and now it's a cute little cafe. Plenty of bakery and breakfast to choose from! Plus the staff was very nice and friendly.
Food is great, the French toast is solid and cinnamon rolls are delicious! Hard to find a seat in there on the weekends which tells you everything you need to know.
Wow, this cafe absolutely wins at ambiance. This is a cute-as-heck coffee and brunch place that was clearly converted from a Victorian home in Eden Prairie. I had an awesome breakfast burrito and their awesome Tirimasu Latte (iced), and they have other offerings that will lure me from St Paul for future visits. Specifically, now that I am mourning the loss of Sun Street Breads and its Thursday Night Pizza Night, I'll have to try Smith's version of that. But I'll probably come back for brunch on a weekend pretty soon and get more coffee, as well as something from their bakery. But also, yes, brunch; the eggs in my burrito were really perfect. I was there at around noon on a Sunday; peak busy times so parking was a little hairy but I eventually found a spot. I absolutely recommend coming with a bunch of pals and hanging out for a good long time, but maybe don't all drive separately if it's noon-ish on a weekend. They have a lovely patio area which was well-populated, even on this extra-sunny mid-February day. If you like adorable cafes, you will definitely love this place.
Had a day off and an anniversary to celebrate, so decided to take a drive out to Smith. Checking out the menu online prior, I knew I'd likely be impressed. The space is so cute, it actually is a little house. Parking is a bit of a downer here, the lot is small, and you can't park on the street or in other lots nearby. The coffee was fantastic. I tried an iced s'mores latte, which was topped with chocolate sauce, marshmallow, and graham cracker. I liked that it wasn't a sugar bomb, even though it had the potential to be. Hubs had a tiramsu latte, which was also enjoyed. Didn't order food, but saw some of the items coming out and food looked good. If I am in the area, I will definitely stop again and would recommend.

Parking was a nightmare but my latte was delicious. BE WARNED THE APARTMENTS NEARBY WILL TOW!! So I can't lie to you the ending of that experience was pretty sad. I just went back this week though and they were serving pizza in the evening. I ended up getting a tiramisu sundae and sharing the pizza, overall pretty good and enjoyed the company. Seems like a nice place to study or meet up with friends (provided you can find a place to park!)
Amazing! Totally worth the hype! The staff is amazing and so inviting. I'm sad I waited so long to try. I ordered the cinnamon girl latte iced. It was amazing! I'd definitely go back for it. My mom got the lavender latte, she enjoyed it. I didn't care for it. My sister ordered the barista punch (off the secret menu) and it's delicious and refreshing. The vibes are amazing. It's a small little cafe so if you're looking to sit you might be waiting for a table at certain times of day! I definitely recommend and will be back now that I've moved closer.
Cute coffee shop in Eden Prairie! I had the tiramisu latte and my friend had a latte. She liked the latte art, though I'm forgetting the actual design. I could definitely taste the tiramisu flavor and it wasn't overly sweet. I wish they offered a hot version, especially when the temps range from the 20s to negative. I think it was $7, which is a little on the pricey side. Service was friendly. About 10 mins before closing, one of the employees offered us some almond croissants for free because they didn't want to throw them out. Smart move, as we'd hate for these delicious and flaky croissants to go to waste. Lots of options for seating. Would go back to try other drinks and pastries!
Love the neighborhood feel, the coffee and the food! Counter service with a smile. This time, a delicious egg and avocado smash on a croissant! Gosh I love breakfast.
Pizza is a MUST. Pizza is only served on Thursday evenings and I highly recommend making a reservation because it can get busy and there is a limit on how many pizzas they serve a night. Service was great and answered all the questions we had before ordering. We had order the Busto Pepperoni and the ricotta and honey made this stand out. The other pizza was the Summer Corn which was loaded with different flavors and was essential for a summer evening out. I would get both of these again and again. For breakfast they have a good selection of meals and coffee. I enjoyed the B.E.C. but would probably try something else on my next visit. The location is beautiful, it is a Queen Anne home turned cafe and has seating indoors and outdoors.
I'm so excited to finally try this place after hearing about it for years and years. It's in an unsuspecting area, but very convenient in Eden Prairie. I will say the small parking lot threw me for a loop - it was completely full, and I almost decided to leave as I arrived. But I stuck it out and waited for a spot. I actually ordered online while I was waiting for a parking spot. I think this place could benefit from some pick up only parking. The coffee was super tasty, and you could tell it was high-quality. All of the food items looked completely delicious, so I'm excited to come back to try it sometime. I'd love to come back in a warmer season and sit outside.
My fav cafe in MN hands down. Smith coffee and cafe is the best spot for coffee and breakfast/brunch. It operates in an old renovated house so the inside is super cozy but still has tonssss of tables for those who want to stick around to enjoy their food/drinks. They also have a dreamy outdoor patio with trellises and flowers everywhere. My go to is their avocado toast it has such a new unique flavor that I haven't experienced elsewhere. Also! On Thursday nights they're open until 9 pm for pizza night.
My friend and I stopped at Smith Coffee before shopping, and unfortunately we were a little disappointed with the drinks. I ordered an iced gingerbread latte, which mostly just tasted like milk, and my friend's iced chai had a similar lack of flavor. Maybe we caught them on a bad day. We didn't order any food, but it was very busy inside and the food looked good. The service was super nice, and the building itself is very cute, unique, and beautifully decorated. I don't think I'd come back specifically for the coffee, but I'd be open to trying the food in the future.
Smith Coffee has yet to disappoint! We tried their Thursday Night Pizzas and I am beyond impressed - their pizzas are incredible! We ordered the lemon ricotta, busto pepperoni, and the Fresno scallion. My favorite was the Fresno scallion, as it's very unique and had the perfect combination of spicy and sweet. You place your order for the pizzas and any drinks you may want up front and receive a table number for them to be brought over to you. The service was extremely quick but I definitely reccomended making a reservation to ensure you are able to get your pizzas! There was more than enough of each pizza for our party of 3 and we even went home with some leftovers.

This coffee shop has such a warm vintage charm the second you walk up. On the inside it's a blend of modern and vintage with the original hardwood floors. I tried their brown butter pumpkin latte and blueberry maple scone... wow were they delicious. The latte was the perfect level of sweet for me, and had the right amount of flavor. The scone was a little on the crumbly side, however the maple icing on top was the perfect touch and worked perfect with the blueberries. I cant wait to come back and try more! read more
Amazing coffee and breakfast items, just be ready for a long wait! We've been twice recently and had a bit of a wait each time. The parking situation is not great, a small lot and no other options nearby for parking so cars will double park and block others, not great. But the cafe itself is so so cute! Great patio and super nice inside with a lovely menu of espresso beverages, breakfast and bakery items. I highly recommend the avocado toast, lots of flavor with a little lemon, Parmesan cheese and chili flakes- yum!! I like to add an egg on top too. They also have a nice cinnamon roll with a tasty frosting that is just the right level of sweet. I definitely want to go back! read more

There are a few too many coffee shops in Minnesota that feel sterile, modern, and cold. Smith is the exact opposite. I felt like I was sitting in a friend's living room. With plenty of natural light, numerous nooks to post up with a laptop or meet a group, and delightful food options, along with a variety of drinks, Smith may be my new go to. Only issue? I think everyone else has the same idea. I ordered their sausage biscuit breakfast sandwich. It arrived fast but cold, not sure if it had been hanging around a few seconds too long? Nonetheless, the biscuit was flakey and light with an onion based aioli dabbled between the extensive layering. The soft scrambled egg paired nicely with the white cheddar cheese and the house made sausage patty certainly added flavor. Slightly dry, but again, I don't get the sense that it was made to order. Would absolutely come back to try their lunch menu, breakfast burrito, and specialty drinks. read more
I always want to stay longer at Smith Coffee! I love their breakfast food more than their cafe drinks. The breakfast sandwiches are on the more expensive side, but I always tell friends to come hungry because they are worth it! Their homemade biscuits are buttery and flakey. I do prefer their bacon breakfast sandwiches because the sausage patty has been extremely thick in the past. This visit to Smith, we had a matcha latte with vanilla and a hot chocolate. Both came out with latte art and were super creamy, but we could have enjoyed them a little bit more if they were a tad bit sweeter. On a busy weekend in the winter, it can be difficult to find a spot to sit in the beautiful farm house. When it is nice outside, there is plenty of seating around the property! read more

What a cozy and welcoming coffee spot. My bestie and I were blown away with the friendliness of the gentleman behind the counter. He explained the menu to us and listed off a few of his favorites. There was so many options to choose from, but we tried the Smoked Sea Salt Caramel & Maple Clove. We also split the cinnamon roll and the jalapeño cheddar biscuit. Wowza that biscuit was amazing. I'm not a huge cinnamon roll person, but it looked good. My bestie loved it. The area is spacious. It's an older house and had a lot of character. There's a nook area with stained glass - so cool. There's two private bathrooms near the entrance and it was neat and tidy. Will be back! read more
Everyone here is always so kind and friendly! You can't find a cozier spot for a coffee and a treat. In a historic home in Eden Prairie with lots of indoor and outdoor seating options. It is a very busy place so parking can be tricky. We parked a few blocks down and walked over. It's well worth the walk. Delicious breakfast sandwiches, pastries and cookies as well as coffee drinks. Such a fun spot to check out! Each room is a place you can enjoy your coffee and connect with a friend. There are larger tables for groups and smaller tables throughout. You can also rent a room there for a few hours in you'd like. Service was great-They deliver your coffee + food to where you sit. Which is very nice! read more

Well isn't this the most darling cafe I've ever seen!! Smith is a cafe inside the historic Smith Douglas More House in Eden Prairie. As you walk up, you feel like you've been transported to New England or Europe! Darling brick home with a stunning vine canopied patio and white picket fence. There is a parking lot :) We walked inside with jaws wide open - it's simply darling inside! You truly feel like you're inside a home, with cozy furniture and plenty of nooks and crannies to cozy up in and work or chat with your coffee and pastry. They have a coffee roasting machine onsite - so awesome! You can buy their beans in bulk. The service at the front counter was SO warm and inviting - it felt like we were having coffee in someone's home. We ordered a seasonal latte and an apple cider slushie, and both were divine. I love their simple menu, with some seasonal offerings. They also have a substantial food offering lineup, including breakfast sandwiches and toasts, lunch sandwiches and salads, and pastries. We opted to sit out on the patio with a perfect backdrop of the house exterior under the vine canopy. There is plenty of outdoor seating. I can't recommend this spot enough!! read more

This is a cute little spot with lots of space to study. I think their unique speciality drinks are blended well, and add flavor without being overly sweet. I did enjoy their pistachio cardamom latte more than the flat white, but it was still good! read more
Still one of my favorite spots to work in the morning when the weather is nice. Just make sure to get out before 9:30-10 when everyone else rolls out of bed! The old farmhouse is really neat but can be cramped and the patio is really cute. Their pour over and espresso are always top notch but I can't speak to the lattes. The food, however, is amazing. They bake all their carbs in house and everything tastes fresh and bright. The baristas are always friendly, even when it's insanely busy. Since it's a pretty small operation it can be a bit of a wait from 10am-close in weekdays but get in outside of the lunch rush and it's totally worth it. read more

This is a beautiful coffee house, we loved it. The outdoor patio is fantastic. The homemade fresh biscuits were bomb. Everything seemed to be a little on the pricey side comparing to other coffee shops I've been to, but the rich history and ambience made it worth it. If you're looking for a homey cozy coffee shop I'd highly recommend Smith Coffee and Cafe. It's a charming red house that's clean and bright. There's many tables, but it was a full house when we visited. We managed to find a spot in a corner near a window. I loved all the natural lighting here. My bestie and I ordered the Smoked Sea Salt Caramel Latte, Maple Clove Latte, Jalapeno Cheddar Biscuit Breakfast Sandwich, and Cinnamon Roll. They bring your order out to you which is very nice. Our lattes were very flavorful and tasty. The jalapeño cheddar biscuit breakfast sandwich was excellent. The biscuit was soft, buttery, and had a nice jalapeño flavoring. The cinnamon roll was soft and had an icing on it. I think next time I'd get a croissant or a cookie. The gentleman at the counter helping us was very friendly and helpful. He shared his favorites and gave us recommendations. Really made us feel welcomed. I can't wait to come back! read more
