This place is a great family friendly sports bar. Games on screens everywhere you look, pull tabs and bingo. Their food is average, it's good and about what you would expect. When I came here to get a double cheeseburger, the man who served me my double cheeseburger told me that the plate was hot. So I lightly and quickly tapped it to test it. but it was cold. So I just went ahead and touch it twice, and the plate was still cold. So I go ahead and test it one last time, by picking it up and holding it for at least 5 seconds. Right when I picked it up, the whole plate itself shattered upon being picked up. Because the next thing I knew broken glass went flying all over the place. Beef 'O' Brady's has a sports bar feel to it with a nice and clean setting. There is not really a dedicated parking lot for the place, but adequate street parking around the place. It's a corner store front along a strip of other business - it's clearly marked. The menu has plenty from which to choose with a nice variety that most all should be able to find something to suite their tastes. The service was fantastic in that they were friendly, timely, and not over bearing. Two of us got the Chef Salad which was quite good - simple - but good with plenty of turnkey, ham, and bacon along with plenty of cheese. Another got a burger which looked tasty as well. Plenty of cocktails from which to choose and some good beers as well. An overall nice place. read more

Pretty good! If you want comfort food, this place is perfect. Honestly, I was a bit disappointed in the quality, though. I don't eat meat often (probably once a month) so when I do I'm hoping that it's high quality. I split the firecracker burger with my boyfriend and it was very mediocre. I only had a bite, but the burger was overdone and bland and the toppings weren't anything to write home about. That being said, however, the staff was super friendly and I loved their fries! Have I ever disliked a French fry? No, but that's beside the point. I'm definitely willing to come back here at some point and give it another shot!! read more

I was surprised to find out how much I liked this place, and continue to come here weekly. For some reason I imagined it would be a dive, but it's actually a really nice and warm place. This is Monticello's best sports bar, in my opinion. The menu is rather large, which I tend to believe equates to a restaurant not being expert at any one thing, and merely good at a lot or a few. I haven't yet experienced any food that was exceptional. They have nice burgers, tacos, average pub food, but DO NOT order the cheese quesadilla. Imagine melting cheese between two sheets of paper and you're about there. They've also adopted some of the big chain tactics in offering 2-for-$20 types of promos, so you can try a few of their entrees/apps without worrying too much about price. That's one of the few drawbacks here, overpriced food. $.99 wings is probably, in most people's consideration, not a "special", and definitely not when you are unable to claim some of the best wings around. Drinks, on the other hand, are definitely affordable, with daily specials. Come on Wednesday and get $3 Captains while playing trivia. Did I mention the trivia?! Absolutely one of my favorite things to do in this town. The servers are very nice and friendly, and the atmosphere is great. A warm-weather patio outside would be better if the smokers didn't routinely use it. Altogether, though, Beefs is an excellent watering hole that offers a wide variety of entertainment. Like me, I think most people will be pleasantly surprised, and happy to come back. read more

This small-town bar showed us why it is the talk of the town. We expected it to be a run-down "dive bar" with subpar food, but we were surprised! The atmosphere was very energetic and fun, as soon as we got into the restaurant and one of the servers greeted us we knew we would have a great time. When we looked at the menu there seemed to be so many options. I was feeling starving so I decided to get the OMG burger. This burger consisted of 2 Angus beef patties, 4 slices of bacon, 4 slices of American cheese, along with lettuce and tomato. The burger was delicious and paired well with the fries that came with as well as some cheese curds we ordered. For pricing it was very balanced, my burger was more expensive at around $18, but rightfully so. Overall this was a great spot to eat in Monticello that anyone passing by should try. read more

I was expecting a dive bar with an Irish theme but was surprised to see it was a large and spacious bar with a lot of seating and very modern, not a dive bar or Irish in any way, definitely a sports themed bar. It was jam packed at noon on Saturday, presumably because bar bingo started at 1. We just wanted to grab a bite to eat. The menu is expansive, almost too much. Being my first time here I wanted a house specialty so I ordered the prime rib garlic melt sandwich, my husband ordered the firecracker burger. See pics: the philly sandwich looked dry and unappetizing, with very little cheese on the other half of it BUT was actually quite tasty! Hubby also said his burger was also very good but didn't have any "firecracker" to it. Best observation of the day- looks like they had a potato shortage. End note: bad tummy within an hour. Wish I could give zero stars. Worst service I've ever experienced at a restaurant. The waiter took our appetizer order first - we ordered our entrees 10 minutes later, and specifically asked to receive our appetizer first. 20 minutes later our waiter brought our entrees first and said our app would be coming soon. He didn't acknowledge the mixup at all. We asked him for two more drinks and he left. He returned a few minutes later to verify our appetizer order. He then delivered our appetizer 15 minutes later when we were done with our entree - and it was wrong! He acknowledged that it was wrong without apology or offering to fix it...he simply set it on the table, said it was wrong and walked away. He never brought our drinks we asked for upon receiving our entrees. When we told him we didn't want the appetizer and requested him to remove it from the check, he now told us it was what we ordered, gave us major attitude, and dumped sauce all over the food before stomping off. We arrived at 12:45 got a table and since we planned on bingo we ordered some apps. At 1:20 my husband finally asked when the bingo was gonna start. We were informed they were not gonna have it.. WHAT??? There are over 5 signs in this bar advertising bingo on Saturdays.. We had ordered food ONLY because we planned on staying for a while.. No apology from anyone!! My wife and I ate at Beef O'Brady's with her sister and mother. The food was good. Unique twists on your usual American dishes and a lot of your grill favorites, but done very well. They do have quite a few tables to sit at that are not high/bar tables. The pickle fries were a good appetizer and come with ranch, not too pickle-y and they have a good selection of food to choose from. The shakes there are VERY watery. Like they used water instead of milk, definitely would not recommend the shake. read more

4 stars because it's a dive bar and I didn't come in with high expectations, but they have a lovely dining area for families, the food was average but not bad, and our waitress was GREAT. Everybody seemed like they enjoyed their food but it was pretty basic. Not an A+ but maybe a B or B-. We got: Pizza (a little greasy but it's bar pizza so...), Steak Tacos (steak, shredded lettuce, cheese, and a sauce. Could have used a brightness or more flavor, maybe something fresh, cilantro? fresh salsa?), Queso Dip (it had corn in it. the corn made it weird. very corny taste.), Wings and Ribs (just ok, not dry like another person experienced), a BBQ Bacon Burger (not sure of the real name. it was ok.), Captains Catch (blackened fish, rice, veggies, no complaints), Jalapeno/Corn/Fritter appetizer thing (good but you don't get very many. like 8 total. aren't apps for sharing?), Potato Chip/Bacon/Cheese appetizer thing (good but it's basic so it's hard to ruin.) Our waitress was fantastic. I can't remember he name (she was working at 6PM on 5/7/16) but she said she was new so I was nervous. She did GREAT! She was so on top of refilling our drinks and she was very polite and friendly. She really helped us enjoy ourselves. I'd go back. A really varied menu and great service are the two biggest reasons to head over to Beef's. It is perfect when one family member wants a burger, one wants pizza, one soup and a sandwich; you get my drift! I bring clients here too.
