Cambo Flare is a hidden gem in Big Lake! Since we visited last, they have changed up their dining experience, but we enjoyed it! You scan the QR code at your table, order online, pay online and someone delivers all items (to your table) in takeout containers. Even with this updated experience, without "wait staff", everyone was helpful and attentive. The signature sticks, with the yum-yum sauce, has to be my personal favorite. You have to be so careful not to fill up on their delicious wontons and purple egg rolls (appetizers!) The restaurant and restrooms are clean and welcoming - nothing fancy, just what you would expect for small town dining! It looks like they host local musicians from time to time. The owner was working alongside his team and so friendly! He often treats his customers to his signature sweet wontons (secret flavors!) Our only complaint, and this comes paired with a picky eater. The description of their dishes doesn't necessarily disclose all vegetables/ingredients used. So, some surprises were had! It was delicious and a very minor complaint! If your looking for great Asian food, you need to go here. It's a mash up of cultures, but in the best possible way. The chicken and beef sticks are great. The Viking egg rolls are very tasty. It's a small Cambodian restaurant connected with the gas station. I think it used to be a fast food restaurant back in the days. It's hidden away from the main roads. If you live out in Big Lake, Monticello, Elk River, Otsego, Albertville, and St. Michael there's not much southeast Asian restaurant around besides going down to Delano or Brooklyn Park. I got Chicken Lo Mein, Beef sticks with friend rice, and pho. The pho both is more on the low sodium side. If you ever been to Cheng Heng in St. Paul it's pretty similar to that just not a lot of sodium. They do provide chili oil per request. It's homemade so it has a little stronger kick to it. Beef sticks and fried rice was good. The beef sticks was really flavorful. It came with a small side of pickled papaya and carrots. Which has a good balance to the meal. (Maybe next time I'll ask for more of the pickle papaya and carrots.) The chicken lo mein was very flavorful. It's not your traditional Chinese lo mein. It's has that garlic flavor that you usually find in southeast Asian food. Which was something I really like. My advice is if you like spicy. Ask for chili oil on the side and mix it in with the lo mein. You'll thank me later. If you don't like spicy it's amazing without it too. Pro: flavorful southeast Asian food, close to home. Staff is very friendly and service is fast. Cons: I believe Rice Noodle for pho was the dry noodle kind. Which I'm not a fan of. (But that's just me as a preference and will still eat it's served.) I liked this place but not everything about it. The Spicy Tiger Wings were delicious. I can't ever remember having any kind of wings with that much flavor, however, I've never had any food that spicy hot. We made a special trip up there from Farmington because since they except cryptocurrency for payment I wanted to make sure they knew about Devour.io and it didn't disappoint. For one, the service delivery was awesome, even though, the dining room was closed, they let us eat in and I appreciated that because it was a long drive and I was ready to dine! Ellie was just amazing at delivering service and that is very important to me. We also think they have a food truck and that we'd had them before at a music festival called Shangrila-La but enjoying it in a restaurant was even better. They have a small menu filled with signature dishes. We ordered the pork tacos, chicken and beef skewers, chicken fried rice and chicken low-mein and EVERYTHING tasted amazingly even though one might think these are just typical Asian dishes and they are but the difference is taste and freshness. O M G the best boba i think Iv ever had and the staff was so kind and patient and even kinda funny the food was the real star of the whole experience the portions where a very good size and everything tasted amazing !!! The vibe of the place was homie but has a slight vintage feel to it as well. Since this place opened, I have been unsuccessful at several attempts to go there. today I went there, and the sign said open the neons open sign was lit. I saw a worker inside there were cars in the lot, but the door was locked. I stood there for a while, and no one came and unlocked it. It was well after opening time. This hidden gem is a great place to eat! The food was delicious! The service was also very good. It's a shame you really can't see the restaurant from Highway 10 as you drive by! It's hidden behind the Market Place Minnoco Express Gas station & convenience store! They have Great take out service! Years ago this was an A & W / Long John Silver Restaurant. It's not fancy dinning inside but it is nice and clean. Everything we had was excellent, The Chicken & Steak on a stick was super! They have Beer and some really tasty and unique drinks for kids & adults! The fried rice, Egg-rolls & Cream Cheese Wonton's we're superb! Several people at tables near us were all commenting on how good the Food was! This is definitely one of those hidden gems that you'll say; "I wish I had known about this Restaurant sooner!" Wow! This place has some phenomenal food! The menu is limited but ever changing and has been delicious every time! The fried rice, yummy flavorful, the spicy wontons and little kick but oh so creamy and delicious. Make sure if you try it you order quick they sell out most nights as I've seen! Highly recommend the fried rice, any of the meat on a stick the wontons and the skol egg rolls. read more

What an amazing lunch! We had the crispy Wantons (double order :-) ), purple egg rolls (which were very flavorful), pork tacos and stir fry vegetables with steak which we ordered spicy. The "spicy" came from these beautiful tiny slices of tiny red peppers bringing just the right amount of heat for most people. First time trying this place and I was disappointed. Ordered online which was easy but did not allow for any notes or special requests to be entered. The order was ready almost immediately which is nice except I was almost a half hour away. It would be nice to be able to specify a pick up time. Both the stir fry veggies and the lo mein entrees barely had any vegetables at all. Mostly mushrooms and onions, some small pieces of bell peppers, very few shreds of carrot. I was expecting more variety as well as quantity such as broccoli, peapod, bamboo shoot, zucchini, etc. Luckily I added chicken to both entrees otherwise would be eating a pile of noodles and rice. I went there today. Pho was good and with fresh vegetables. Lo mein was dry and sticky. Flavor was ok. Egg rolls were small and flavorless. Bobo tea was good. Overall nice to have Pho in Big Lake. Otherwise I have had a lot better tasting Cambodian food especially for the price. read more

We had our reservations when realizing that this was attached to a gas station but this was phenomenal. We had the pork tacos, the steak sticks, vegan pho and vegetable rice with shrimp.
