I was honestly a little nervous to try this place because I have a shellfish allergy, and eating out can be really stressful for me. But this experience completely changed that. As soon as I mentioned my allergy to our waiter, Alex came out personally to talk with me, and that meant so much. He didn't rush the conversation at all and he really took his time to understand my concerns, explain the menu, and walk me through what would be safe for me to eat. What really stood out was how careful and attentive he was. He made sure my dish was prepared separately and customized specifically for my allergy, and he reassured me that everything would be handled safely. That level of care is rare, and it made me feel comfortable and genuinely taken care of. On top of that, the food was absolutely amazing , fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can tell they really care about quality. We always drive by this spot and say "we should go there sometime!" Well, we finally stopped in for dinner and oh so glad we did. We got the signature potstickers and split orange chicken. I really likes the beef and carrot potsticker and the kale potsticker. The orange chicken was absolutely delightful, not too sweet or sticky, just wonderful. Potsticker is a smaller establishment, so I recommend getting a reservation. It seems to be popular with an older crowd for some reason and we could tell that it has a lot of regulars. It can get a little noisy in there when it's full! Our server Bo (green hair and tattoos) was fantastic and seemed to be singlehandedly holding the place together (bartending, running food, hosting, bussing, serving), whereas the rest of the staff were kind of wandering around doing random tasks like filling waters and lighting candles. We tried the pork kimchi potstickers and the beef, shrimp, and chive potstickers, both of which were a step up from your typical potsticker. The classic sauce was also quite good. Stopped into PotStickers for dinner with my husband on a whim, and we're so glad we did! First things first--this is a relatively small space, with a max capacity of about 25-30 people. It creates a nice, intimate atmosphere, but it's not the kind of spot where you linger too long after your meal. Mission is to eat and go! I ordered eight potstickers, half cilantro pork and half curry chicken. Both were delicious, but the cilantro pork was the clear winner for me. Each potsticker was nicely portioned with a solid amount of filling. I also ordered the ginger smash sauce--I'd absolutely get it again. The eight potstickers felt more like an appetizer than a full meal for me, so I also ordered the Korean wings. They were crispy, saucy, and an absolute must-order again! Stopped into Potsticker in Saint Paul and decided to go all in with their Potsticker Tour, which gives you two of every potsticker on the menu plus the four house sauces. On paper, it sounded like the ultimate sampler, and I loved the concept. In reality, the potstickers themselves were... fine. Not bad by any means, but nothing that made me stop mid-bite and say "wow." The variety was nice, though--meat, seafood, veggie, and vegan options--so everyone at the table could find something to enjoy. The sauces were the real game-changer. The gochujang sauce stood out as the clear favorite--bold, a little spicy, and the perfect balance of heat and tang. I could have dipped just about anything in it. The curry sauce, on the other hand, fell flat for me. It didn't have much depth and almost distracted from the potstickers instead of enhancing them. The other sauces sat somewhere in between, but at least there was variety. From there, things started to shine. The Surf and Turf Fried Rice was excellent--comfort food at its best. A generous portion that could easily be a standalone entrée, packed with both chicken and shrimp so you never felt like you were just eating filler rice. Savory, a little smoky from the wok, and something I'd order again without hesitation. The biggest surprise of the night? The Scallion Pancakes. They come three to an order for $12, which feels steep at first glance, but they were hands down the best thing on the table. Crisp and golden on the outside, soft and chewy inside, with just the right amount of onion flavor. They've clearly mastered this dish, and it stole the show. I'd honestly come back just for these pancakes and a side of that gochujang sauce. Overall, Potsticker is a fun spot with a creative menu. The potstickers themselves might not have lived up to the hype, but the sauces, fried rice, and scallion pancakes more than made up for it. If you're going, skip the tour and curate your own meal--you'll leave happier (and probably save a few bucks). read more

Visiting this restaurant was as a result of asking Google what was nearby. We'd never heard of Potsticker before. It was destiny that we found it. We ordered The Potsticker Tour for Two. The Tour is all potstickers and sauces. We also got the Pork Belly Fried Rice. The potstickers and sauce were all delicious. Each combination with the sauces were such a delight. I cannot say which were my favorites. Even with all of these wonderful dumplings and sauces, the star of the show, was the fried rice. THIS WAS THE BEST FRIED RICE, EVER!!!!!!!!! I do not type in all caps lightly. Everything about this fried rice was exactly what fried rice should be. It didn't need sauce or anything. The flavors are deep and balance. The pork belly has the fat rendered so that it melts into your mouth. On top of the fabulous food, the service was top notch. Even though I don't think you will need reservations, it's still a nice to have. 2. Great price. It was very convenient to get the sampler of all the potstickers, which was a great amount of food for two people. 3. Clean restaurant and clean bathrooms, with ample seating inside, and adequate street parking available. The only negatives I can call out is that you can easily get confused on which potstickers you are tasting when doing the sampler meal. I wish there were labels. Also, as this place is called potstickers, the menu is kind of limited in terms of other Asian cuisines. After an extraordinary experience at a dumpling restaurant out of state, I was on a mission to find something similar in MN. After browsing Yelp, I settled on taking my boyfriend to Potsticker for his birthday. We arrived and were seated inside immediately. The place is small, and I would describe it as intimate or cozy. Ultimately, we ended up ordering Cilantro Pork, Shrimp/Beef/Chives, and the Curry Chicken Potstickers. We also ordered the Surf and Turf Fried Rice and some Korean Wings to accompany our main dishes. The tastes associated with the Potstickers are subjective (we both loved them), but the quality is objectively great. The wings were a bit sweet to me which isn't my personal preference, but I'd still recommend them as I believe they were well prepared. I could eat fried rice 24/7 so I might be biased, but it was great, and I'd love to try the pork belly option. Potsticker nailed everything from ambiance, to service, to food. POTSTICKERS ARE AN ENTREE. This is true in my household and I'm so glad I found a high quality restaurant that agrees, and that represents this tenet so well. This is a really cute bistro with really friendly service, and truly fine potstickers. They have at least six unique varieties, and at least as many dipping sauces. All pan-fried, I think. Significant differences between all of those choices. They aren't messing around with this concept, but if you like steamed offerings, like maybe soup dumplings, that's not what they're about. One time my entree came with a side of fried rice, but another time I didn't, and I found the menu to be missing a bit of information (there's a reference to a half-order, but what is a full order). And I think a side of fried rice is appropriate and should come with a standard entree considering the price. But the price is still pretty fair considering how good the potstickers are. They have some other entree options as well, but that would mean not having a big plate of their awesome potstickers so I might not get around to trying those. I mean that as high praise! read more

I did not make reservation but we got lucky by snatching two chairs at the bar. It is small inside but worth the wait. The staff was super efficient and friendly, there were two girls and one guy. Honestly all the potstickers were amazing and their list of dipping sauce was great too. A female chef (we think she is the owner) came out of the kitchen and asked us how we are doing, and she gave us some kimchi she made the same day for samplings.
