They don't take reservations. I wouldn't recommend coming with a party larger than 5. Limited seating. Welcoming staff with fast service. But sadly I did not Bao down to their dumplings. All their dumpling lacked strong flavor. Each Xiaolongbao in the Signature Sampler tasted the same. However, I personally enjoyed the Jiangnan Stir Fried Noodles.

Went to try this place because it's similar to Din Tai Fung style from the west coast. At arrival, it wasn't busy but we had a to wait a little so they can get a table ready for us given that we had a baby with stroller. This place is medium in size so during dinner, I think it could be a little wait so plan ahead. The menu is mailing one sheet front and back containing of course a lot of dumplings options! They do have regular "from the wok" Chinese stir fried and dishes so there's always something for everyone. We ordered a spread of different things to try. Food came out one by one within a reasonable amount of time. Of note: the presentation/look of the actual food does not look like the photo at all. -cucumber Salad and Jiangnam beef: both looked completely different from the phone. Cucumber salad is quite sad. For $9 I expected at least a better presentation than some chopped cucumbers in garlic and some cilantro on top. I can make this at home and taste better for way less than that. In the picture, they had chili on it and Thai better for decoration. According to waitress, they don't add chili oil because some people can't eat it. Then, don't put oil on the photo? They said we can add our own chili but that's already making the dish coming out not appetizing. This is like a $1-2 dish to me. Not recommend jiangnan seasoned beef: I don't know where the "seasoned" is but the beef is literally boiled beef with sauce on the side. We were told it is "cold" dish. So keep that in mind. But there was no seasoning on the beef. The sauce is basically more chili oil. Definitely not appetizing from the point, looks sad. No color. Also not worth the $15 for this dish. Would not recommend. Pork soup dumplings: decent in size. Not enough soup in the dumplings and soup is not hot. It was warm? Was expecting more soup and hotter. Came with a few pieces of ginger which is not enough to each with this dish for a whole table. We probably could have asked for more but seem stingy? Pan-fried beef: this prob had more soup than than the soup dumplings. But it is a little bigger? Also warm soup and not hot. Nothing special. Wonton in chili- typical wonton in chili oil. Nothing special about the taste either. I've had better elsewhere. Yangzhou fried rice: pretty decent taste. However, there were literally 2 shrimp on the rice. Probably the saddest shrimp to fried rice portion I've ever had anywhere. Might as well not add shrimp at all? But if it's called Yangzhou with shrimp, please add more than 2 shrimps to the dish. Or say it's for 2 people, 1 shrimp per person. Noodles: has flavor and the meat on top is good. One of the better dishes we ordered but it has flavor and meat to noodles portion is good. Homemade pancake: this is my favorite dish here. Sad to say this is my favorite because this is a dumpling eatery but it was crispy and sauce complimented the taste. Has good flavor. The dish I would do order again. Mongolian beef: almost did not order this but my 2nd favorite dish here at the end. The stir fry of course has flavor and probably a good amount of MSG to be honest but hey it tasted good. Love the onions in this dish. Coke: I think $3 for a canned soda is outrageous price for a dumpling eatery. The most expensive canned soda at a casual Asian restaurant I've ever been to. Usually the most I've seen is like $2? I mean, it is in a can and not refillable. Keep in mind they do charge 18% gratuity for party of 6 or more. Here, I don't know what people think of our situation but. We had 5 people with 1 infant. So yes that's 6 bodies but no the infant can't eat or drink or was served in any way. Anyways they automatically charge 18% for us. Yes we had 6 bodies but not an infant should not be charged towards the gratuity? We would have ended up tipping the same because we ordered a lot and service was fast and everyone was nice but that seems insane to me. Overall, not a place I would crave to come back for. Sure if family/friend from out of town wants to stop by, I would come back for the pancake but so many reasons to not go vs good. Unless one day, the menu, dishes, prices, rules modified a little. 2- stars because I feel there could be a lot of improvement with everything here.

NOMd: - cucumber salad. true asian garlic flavor. iykyk. the pic is misleading bc there's no spice in site on the dish. phat bowl of chunky cu's for only $9 tho even better w/ the chili oil. - shrimp & pork shu mai. oh she thickkkk. flavors on point. perfectly cooked firm and bouncy. one of them didn't have shrimp in it tho but the other 3 had a few pieces. service, etc.: the staff were the sweetest and checked in often. everytime oscar (my waiter) came by i couldn't help but smile he has such a bubbly aura! the food came our super fast. love the spinning umbrellas on the ceilings. was actually poppin on a monday night. only thing...: i'm allergic to crab so i asked if i could get the crab dumpling either subbed or taken out of the sampler and unfortunately they said no. i'm not sure why they don't at least allow it to be taken out... so 4 stars bc they don't accommodate for the sampler.

Great addition to the Minnesota food scene. Tucked away in a strip mall in Eden prairie. Plenty of parking and beautiful modern decor inside that creates a great vibe. Staff were all friendly and helpful. They do not have call ahead seating but the wait was only 20 minutes. Trust me people it is worth it. Order: Scallion pancake. Think Chinese flatbread. Crispy exterior with a little chew from the rice flour batter. Can't really taste the scallions. The star is the dipping sauce... perfect balance of salty, sweet and sour. Just brush a little sauce on the pancake and enjoy. Juicy pan fried beef dumpling. The first order came out raw inside. Every restaurant has a hiccup from time to time. It is how they handle it that makes all the difference. The staff was very apologetic and quickly refired a new order. They asked to comp our entire check! They would not accept any payment so we left a very nice cash tip for the staff. These dumplings were delicious. Beef filling was flavorful and the crispy pan fried bottom added a great textural difference. The dipping sauce was perfect. Shrimp shumai. Hand made deliciousness. Perfect combination of pork and shrimp. Great flavor and textures. Pork and chicken soup dumplings. Both were delicious. The soup on the inside was flavorful and very satisfying. My only request is give me a bigger spoon to hold the dumplings and have the spoon flat bottom so it sits on the plate nice while you are poking the hole in the top trying not to burn your face letting the steam out and then pouring the soup into the spoon. Use the sauce from the scallion pancakes/juicy beef dumplings. Very comparable to the fancy chain soup dumpling place. Some people complained about the thick wrapper on top of the dumpling but it is not a big deal. Did not affect the experience of eating the delicious soup dumpling. Overall: This place still gets a 5 star from me even with a raw dumpling served to me. Why? Because they handled the mistake with humility, grace and an abundance of generosity. The food was delicious. The service was excellent. I will be back.

Mobile order was quick, but really disappointed with the quality of the sesame chicken. The breading was really tough I only could eat a few. I've dined in before and dumplings were amazing, I'll stick to those next time!

They do not take reservations, and they do not serve alcohol. There is plenty of free parking in a lot outside. Service was super friendly and attentive! -- The scallion pancake was the best one I've had in the cities! The perfect balance between crispy and chewy, and the dipping sauce had the perfect amount of acidity. --The BBQ pork buns were so delicious. The bun itself was super fluffy and slightly sweet, which paired perfectly with the BBQ pork filling. -- The wrapper of the pork soup dumplings was pretty thick and chewy, especially at the top of the dumpling. I would've liked a little more broth inside the dumplings. The tables have the standard accompaniments of vinegar, soy sauce, chili oil, and sliced ginger. -- The shrimp with chinese broccoli stir fry could have used more flavor. It's served with a small bowl of rice. The shrimp was juicy and fresh. It uses normal broccoli, not Chinese broccoli. -- The chicken stir fried noodles were well seasoned. The portion was generous and easily sharable.

Stopped by during their soft launch on Jan 1st, and wow--what a great addition to Eden Prairie! The place was already crowded, which says a lot, but the vibe was energetic and welcoming. We ordered the chicken & mushroom dumplings, chicken xiao long bao, and the hand-pulled scallion noodles--everything tasted super fresh. You could really tell the noodles were freshly made, the XLB had a flavorful, well-balanced soup, and the dumplings were spot on. Honestly, it's a solid Din Tai Fung dupe for the area, which is saying a lot. Definitely giving this place a 5/5. Would love to see more dessert options added to the menu in the future, but overall an amazing start. Can't wait to come back!

Finally a dumpling spot that is closer to a Din Tai Fung! Still in their soft opening phase I think so no liquor license but also don't know if they will plan to get ones. Space is nice and love the decor touches. Came in both 6:30 pm on a Friday, waited about 20-25 minutes for a table. We ordered the traditional pork and shrimp and pork and truffle soup dumplings, pan fried juicy pork bao, cucumber salad and noodles with scallion oil and wontons in chili oil Soup dumplings were good, very flavorful, the skin was a little thick for me but still good. Cucumber salad was also good, I like it a bit spicier so add some of their chili sauce for some more kick. The pan-fried juicy pork bao lived to its name, crispy bottom and juicy and flavorful filling. There is something for every type of eater. Definitely good options for kiddos too. Will definitely be back with the family

Yum!! The Dumpling Eatery was delicious and I will be back soon. The staff was very kind and respectful and the environment was calm and peaceful. We loved our dumplings, but I would also recommend their wok dishes as it was flavorful and filling. Everything we tried was amazing and I hope to be back to try more dishes.

This place is a gem! Restaurant is very clean and modern. There's even a window where you can see the chefs making some food! Service was extremely friendly and prompt, no complaints there. Food was all incredibly delicious and it seems like you can't really go wrong! Will definitely be back for more

Tips: - Avoid the dinner rush by coming here by 5 pm. I got a booth immediately. An hour later, there was a lineup. - The homemade pork wonton noodle soup was excellent. A friend of mine recently had a meal at Dumpling Eatery and highly recommended coming here. I trusted her and came here after a Minnesota Wild matinee game. Yep, I drove from downtown Saint Paul to Eden Prairie. It was worth the drive on a frigid evening. One of my map apps did not get me here correctly. It's likely because this eatery is fairly new. I ultimately found it and backed into a parking spot. I then walked over and in this restaurant. I was immediately greeted by a female staffer. She got me to a booth next to the room where a bunch of staffers were making dumplings and wontons by hand. I saw this magic happen on my way out after my meal. If you are waiting to be seated, you can watch staffers quickly and efficiently make these goodies. I got water with ice. Staff are quick to refill your glass. I ordered a Diet Coke, which came with a glass containing ice and a straw. It was a nice touch. I looked at the menu and ordered these items: - Har gow - Homemade pork wonton noodle soup - Pan-fried juicy pork buns The har gow arrived first in a steamer. I was so hungry. I loved them. Each har gow was plump. It had a lot of shrimp packed into the thin wrapper. Delicious and authentic! The homemade pork wonton noodle soup was excellent. The pork wontons were flavourful and perfect. The noodles were yummy. The wood ear, green onions, and greens were delicious. The broth was the best. I drank it all up. The pan-fried juicy pork buns came out last. They were indeed juicy. The sear at the bottom of each bun was perfect. The filling was generous and yummy. The only downside was that the wrapper was on the thicker, doughy side. If it were thinner, these buns would be perfect. You pay for quality here. My bill was just under $50 before tip. I'd say that it's worth it if you are dining here once a month. If you are doing it daily, you'll likely end up broke! I used the washroom before I left. It was a single stall and was clean. No complaints. It's a wonderful eatery. I'm glad that I took my friend's recommendation and ran with it. My stomach was happy on a cold winter evening. I can't wait to go back and eat my way through the menu. (489)

    Soup dumpling sampler

This restaurant is nicely decorated with lots of cute, authentic Chinese, and dumpling-themed elements. The menu is fairly limited. We ordered all the dishes shown in the photos, but it wasn't enough food overall. The dumpling dishes felt more like appetizer portions rather than main courses, yet they were priced like entrees. The sampler soup dumplings were quite disappointing, as they all tasted very similar. The noodles were very bland, with little flavor beyond salt. The servers were friendly, but we had to wait a long time for our food. For the price we paid, I expected a more upscale dining experience. Instead, it felt more like eating Chinese street food with small portions.

Was excited to try this new dumpling restaurant. Very well decorated, open and bright. And really fun to see the window, where the Chinese aunties and grandmas are making the dumplings by hand. Ordered the sampler soup dumpling, pan fried or sam buns, the beef noodle soup, and the cucumber salad. The soup dumplings were very good. Not the best I've had, but one of the best in town. Delicate, skins and tender fillings. Would've liked more soup and for them not to deflate so much, but appreciated that they were served with ginger and vinegar. The pan fried buns had a nice crispy bottom and juicy filling. Were a little small though. The noodle soup had good flavor, though the carrots seemed frozen and overcooked. The cucumber salad was fine, but looked nothing like the picture. Could've used some more flavors. Overall, a good meal and

It's a seasonally priced item on their menu. As of April 5th, the price was around $72.00 for a full lobster. It was steamed I think, then what I find odd but unique is the chef chopped up the lobster while still in it's shell then mixed the sticky rice and scrambled eggs with it, onto a large serving plate. It looks nice and delicious. I thought the lobster would've been de-shelled. So if you don't want to mess with the lobster shell maybe ask if they can exclude it from your dish.
