Chicken salad sandwich + lake Harriet
Markeda D.

I visited on a Thursday afternoon and had a great experience. Free street parking was easy to find, and ordering through the kiosk was simple and convenient. The restaurant was quiet, very clean, and had a welcoming atmosphere. The employee at the front was friendly and mentioned she was happy to help if I needed anything, which I appreciated even though I already knew exactly what I wanted to order. Great customer service does go a long way. I came specifically for the famous Szechuan chicken salad sandwich, and it did not disappoint. The focaccia bread was delicious, and the sandwich itself was surprisingly large for the price, definitely a good value. I enjoyed it, and I also appreciate that I got it in less than 10 mins, although I think I might like the spicy chicken sandwich even more, I'll definitely be back to try that next. The dumplings are also on my list for my next visit. Overall, a clean restaurant, friendly service, and quality food. Looking forward to coming back!

We stopped by this place after hearing a lot about their breakfast menu, was a bit late so ended up doing brunch and did not get disappointed. I mainly wanted to try their scallion panckae wraps and I got the buffalo chicken one. It was good, don't know whether it was the best wrap I have had. The items I am definitely going back for will be the Crispy Sambal Chicken Rice bowl and the Spicy Chicken sandwich. Their rice bowl was definitely one of the teastiest healthy rice bowls I have had in and around the Twin cites. The slight flavor of ginger and pickled onions along with the well seasoned chicken was just amazing! The bread of the focaccia sandwich was so soft and flavorful infused with scallions and chilli oil. The portion sizes were bit and the food came pretty quick. Definitely worth more visits!

We went here for the first time to try the new spicy chicken caesar salad sandwich. I loved the branding and the ambiance all the pink was super cute and fun. Service was kiosk only then they bring it to your table. Our food came out super fast. $18 for a sandwich is pretty steep but we split it between two people and was a perfect portion size. The spicy chicken didn't mask the caesar salad taste the caesar was really good and peppery. The chicken was mildly spicy nothing super intense (good enough for me but my boyfriend wished it was spicier) overall we really enjoyed and would come back again!

Nom, nom NOM! I have been wanting to try Saturday Dumpling for so long and they didn't disappoint. This location is pretty small, so going at a busy time can make seating difficult. We went for the viral Szechuan Chicken Caesar Sandwich, which was AMAZING! For real. It's huge, so plenty to share. We also ordered the congee hash brown and the pork dumplings and the pizza dumplings, which were a collaboration with Wrecktangle Pizza. Every piece of food I put in my mouth was so satisfying. The dumplings were cooked perfect and so full of flavor. I wasn't sure I would like the hash brown, but I was so wrong. It's crispy and so satisfying. I will go back again and again!

Very bright and cheery interior and crew. Staff was quick to answer my questions and recommend their favorites for me to try. The dumplings were so delicious and fresh. My favorite sauces was the Garlic Chili Aioli. Need to come back asap to try the other cool items they had on their menu

This place is super cute! Kind of a tiny menu but everything sounds good I will have to come back and try them all. Came here and grabbed takeout a few nights ago, there are two kiosks to order at rather than talking to a person so I think it might also be cashless? Food came out it about 10 minutes, we got the pork & cabbage dumplings and I got the crispy samba chicken burrito, no pickles (I am not a pickle enjoyer). We also ordered the garlic chili aioli and the og dumping vinegar. Everything was pretty tasty!

Worth the wait! We were so excited to try out frozen dumplings we had been buying fresh! And wow! Food was fast and fresh. Every bit was bursting with flavor. A quick stop to grab lunch. Hoping to get to try more flavors next time.

Great little spot! The food came out super fast and was very tasty. I had the chicken and mushroom dumplings which were definitely worth coming back for! The sandwiches were very tasty, you could tell they put a lot of love into their recipes. The buffalo chicken wrap was good but I thought was a bit light on the filling. They run rotations of specials on the dumplings and also have them available to take home and make yourself which is a great option. We spoke with one of the friendly staff members about the history and it was cool to hear their story of how they started as a small operation only selling on Saturdays. I look forward to another visit!

Nice quick service style dining. Seating indoors or outside. Dumplings and sauce were delish. The hashbrowns were good, but a bit too greasy for me. Looking forward to trying more items next time. Zabs hot sauce was pretty tasty with the dumplings.

Been to their other location previously, so was excited to check out the new location. We missed the breakfast sandwiches by about 15 minutes, but still enjoyed some lunch food! Street parking available nearby! The space itself is bright and welcoming, with pink walls and minimalist decor! There aren't a ton of tables, and given how popular this spot is, I wouldn't count on getting a place to sit. We had planned for that and got takeout! The staff was super friendly while we ordered at the counter! The food here is such great quality! The pork dumplings are perfectly cooked...chewy dumpling wrappers, fried delightfully, and stuffed with flavorful fillings! We also tried the Braised Pork sandwich, which was filled to the brim with succulent protein and crunchy veggies. A large serving to boot. Will absolutely be back to try the breakfast sandwiches, because those look AMAZING!

Char siu chicken bowl, fried congee.

A cost place with street parking, I really liked the clean feel of the restaurant. Service was quick, and they were very nice with cleaning the table before I sat down. I got the char siu chicken bowl and fried congee. I really liked the congee, it was like a big tater tot. The dip of ginger was a bit dense, so don't put a full scoop on. I wasn't a huge fan of the rice bowl, it had lots of rice as promised though! I definitely need to come back for the dumplings some time!

Newest location of Saturday Dumpling Club and it's in our neighborhood! Stopped by for a quick lunch with my husband and we liked all the dishes we ordered - congee hash brown, pork potstickers and chicken potstickers. The scallion/ginger oil dipping sauce was my favorite one - it was great with the hash brown and potstickers! Got our food pretty fast after we ordered. There was some confusion on whether people in line should wait for a table before going to the kiosk to order or order first then find a table. Causal/laidback atmosphere with a nice range of food options.

Delicious! I loved their veggie dumplings. And the spicy garlic aioli (or something like that???) sauce was great. Decent amount of inside seating, great vibes inside. I'll be back!

In…read morere-reading my reviews, I stand by everything I've said about the excellent consistent quality of the food, the service, and how much I enjoy coming to this restaurant. I truly hope they are around longer than I am. I would hate to find out this was one of the choices no longer available to us. Please read my previous reviews for a more inclusive view; this review focuses only on their lobster. I had previously mentioned that they prices of their lobsters (I love the version with black bean sauce) have gone up tremendously. While true, there seems to have been a subtle change in their pricing strategy. Previously (as of before the pandemic), the lobster was priced by the pound, which is the conventional way of doing it. However, they seem to have two lobster prices. The first one is called "Big Lobster" and they say it's between 2 and 2 and half pounds per lobster. The price of that (as of this review) is $56 dollars, or $28 per pound. That's not really a bad price at all. It's expensive, but reasonable. The other lobster is called "Live Lobster" and is priced $10 less at $46. So the real question is how much does this second version weigh? I ordered the Big Lobster, but they said they were out of it. I asked the weight of the "Live Lobster" but I didn't really get a straight answer, but he seemed to say "about two pounds" which doesn't really make sense because that's the price of the larger, more expensive lobster. But I decided to go for it anyway. As I stated in my last review, I'm guessing this lobster is at least two pounds, based on many years of eating lobster. For this review, I had ChatGPT translate the the Chinese on the menu, thinking it was secret code for "if you can read Chinese, save ten dollars by ordering this version" but AI says the Chinese means "lobster" so if you spoke Chinese, you'd still be mystified. So my recommendation is order the version that is ten dollars cheaper and you may (or may not) be paying $23 a pound. Price aside, I love this version of lobster and it is certainly a better deal than what you would pay at an American style seafood or steak restaurant in the Twin Cities.

Both great portion sizes for main dishes with plenty to take home if needed. The restaurant is large and spacious nestled in a strip mall, and the service was fantastic. I ordered the Stir Fry Spicy Beef, Mapo Tofu, and the Pork Belly. Everything was tasty and have no complaints as far as the actual flavors. I do think that the Mapo Tofu should always be soft tofu rather than firm, but that's just a personal preference. The beef was plentiful and extra tender and the pork belly was perfectly melt-in-your-mouth, so good that I felt like I had to ration it throughout the next few meals. I do wish it came with more rice. I ordered three sides and only got one box of rice. I was hoping to have at least two so I can eat it for several days. However, to end on a positive note, when I walked in to pick up my order, the woman (owner possibly) was incredibly friendly and spoke Mandarin to me. She was welcoming, funny, and we briefly argued how spicy food should really be for it to be enjoyable. "The spicier the better," me thinks. Come show these guys some love!

This is one of those low key hidden gem restaurants that serve authentic food without a doubt,…read morebecause it's not only difficult to locate, but also relatively exclusive in terms of its clientele. I enjoyed everything I have had here so far and definitely appreciated the authentic aspect of the food they have. The only improvement I could suggest was the taste of a lot of their dishes, as flavors tended to be on the mild side. It doesn't mean their food is any less authentic, though, and I would recommend all that are looking for authentic Chinese food to visit here. Individually, I ordered dishes that I would normally order in Chinese restaurants, so while I am not sure if there's anything I can necessarily recommend yet, I will say that I thought every dish I have had were above average in comparison to the same dishes I have had elsewhere. My favorite so far is the fried pork in scoop (锅包肉) and I don't even regularly eat pork. There was a nice layer of sweetness and sourness witht the sauce outside the pork pieces. The vegetable dishes like eggplant in garlic sauce (鱼香茄子), green beans with garlic (干煸四季豆), and Chinese cabbage (手撕包菜) are all tasty enough. The Chinese cabbage contained a lot of vinegar, and I bet some people would enjoy that. I didn't taste enough cumin in the cumin lamb (孜然羊肉) dish, but there was an abundant amount of lamb and I appreciated it. The spicy pepper chicken (辣子鸡) was very delicious and had the right amount of spice in my opinion. There is a Relaxing Healthy Center that's connected to the restaurant and apparently that establishment has been very popular, especially in the evenings. I have not visited there yet but I heard that it was similar to saunas in China, and I would love to visit there soon. Regardless, this is a hidden gem, hole in the wall, type of spot and I would definitely recommend everyone.

The potstickers were awesome but given the name of the place I was surprised that the real standouts were the other dishes. The ribeye was perfectly marinated and tender, tossed with a variety of vegetables and stir-fried noodles. The wings were terrific and the General Tso's was perfect. The server was very friendly and informative, even joked around with us a little. It didn't look like reservations were needed, except maybe on busy days like Mother's Day. The food was amazing. Potstickers were, of course, super good, but so was everything else. Portions were generous. I got the pork belly fried rice and I think I have enough leftovers for another three or four meals. There is a small parking lot in back, but you have to walk around the building to get to the door. I would say it is not handicapped friendly. If you park in back it would be hard to get to the door unless you are able to make it half way around the block. If you park in front it is just street parking. My dad uses a walker and we were lucky enough to get a spot right in front of the restaurant, anything else would have been a problem. Spacing inside the restaurant is pretty tight as well. Once dad sat down they had to take his walker into the back because there was no room in the seating area. We were packed in pretty tightly and very close to the table next to us. Overall, delicious food! We will be back!
