We spent an evening here celebrating a birthday and the staff made it feel very special! We were seated right away at a booth in the main dining room area and the atmosphere is your classic steakhouse. Wait staff is in black collared shirts and an apron skirt. The Wildfire Chopped Salad is a MUST to share with the table. The french dip sliders were an elevated take on the classic - the meat was tender and melted in your mouth. The pork chop had a perfect sear and a great portion size, we even took home leftovers! We even had a chocolate dessert sent to the table the birthday and enough spoons for everyone to have a bite!

A couple of weeks ago the Other Deb and I met here for dinner and had filet trios and a side of 1/2 butternut squash with maple pecan butter. We were so engaged chatting about our upcoming trip to Costa Rica I forgot to photograph our food! And that presentation of a half squash presented in the (edible) skin was amazing. So today I saw it on the lunch menu and had to order it to be delivered, along with bacon-wrapped scallop skewers. And I got pics! :D The scallops are delicious and I'm glad the bacon wrap was minimal; just a narrow strip on the outside. The accompanying sauce was delicious, but unnecessary. The roasted squash was not quite cooked enough compared to the last one I had but that maple pecan butter is like a praline and really complements the nutty flavor of the squash. I love it.

The Wildfire Chopped Salad - just like you, it is enough. (But why not fries too?)

I come here for one thing, and one thing only: the Wildfire Shopped Salad. Now I'm pretty sure everything else here is yummy (though I heard they took Mac and cheese off their menu and I don't know what kind of chaotic opinion led to that decision), but I LOVE this salad. If you've never had it, you're missing out! It is full of chicken, avo, tomatoes, blue cheese, bacon, scallions (that I always ask for on the side), corn, tortilla strips and their iconic citrus lime vinaigrette. wooo. It is amazing. It is peak girl dinner, especially if you add an order of fries! Someday I'll try something else, but this is my go-to and it's never disappointed!

One of my favorite Chicago steakhouses is in Eden Prairie! I was so excited to find this slice of home here. Wildfire is a wonderful, upscale steakhouse - without being too over the top. It's got a very cozy, woody vibe where you can see and smell the woodfired rotisserie right in the back of the restaurant. Our seating was quick for our table of 5, and the servers were really understanding and accommodating since we had a one-year-old with us. Drinks and food all came out quickly, and I loved that the server served us our salad we shared at the table. When it comes to food, you can't go wrong here! In all the years I'd go in Chicago, I don't think I've ever had something bad. The table starts with a basket of delicious onion rolls, it'll be hard not to eat them all before dinner! I highly recommend starting with the Wildfire Chopped Salad, it's deliciously citrusy and flavorful - I've bought a bottle of the dressing to take home before. Everyone I was with fell in love with this salad, and fought over who got to take home the leftovers! For dinner, I went with one of their specials of the Parmesan-Crusted Cod. The fish was perfectly flaky and flavorful with delicious breading (I had the butter sauce on the side, it's definitely an important part of the flavor here!). I tried some steak and prime rib sandwich from others and all of it was so tender and juicy - like I said, you can't go wrong here!

This combo was more than satiating. If you're in the area, then it definitely has a generous portion size and a great flavor. Service is top-notch and the ambiance is a classic steakhouse. My only notch here was that the fries were raved about, but mine were under-salted, cold, and lacking portion. I thought I was crazy, but I looked around the table and mine was about 1/2 to 2/3rd my colleagues. It did me a favor to not eat more, but I wish it lived up to the hype of some of the reviewers.

I would rate this place a ten out of five if I could. I have been here twice now and both times not only has every person I came into contact with incredibly kind but the food is AMAZING and perfectly cooked every time. I got the macadamia crusted halibut one night and the parmesan crusted steak another night. You can dress up fancy or show up more casual and still fit in, all around very nice very classy place with the absolute best service. Joel was my server the second time and he was absolutely amazing. Thank you!

Food was fantastic, 8 out of 10. I had the prime rib sandwich. It was perfectly prepared medium rare. Fries were crisp and perfectly seasoned. Service was the reason for the low rating. Waitress only checked with me once after receiving my food. I waited 20 minutes after finishing my meal. I had planned on ordering dessert and a glass of wine but instead just went to the hostess for assistance. They were not particularly busy. Disappointing for this type of restaurant. Dinner was delicious.

4.75* (out of 5) Food: 5* Atmosphere: 5* Value: 4* Service: 5* 09/16/2023 Wildfire We were invited to join a group celebrating our son's girlfriend's swearing in after passing her Bar exam and boy were we impressed. All of the food that we ordered was fantastic, the service was top notch and the atmosphere was great. The only thing that I can give a small ding to is the Value...because of course I want this quality at McDonalds pricing :-) . I started with a Old Fashion (see picture) and it was very good. We had a large Chopped Salad (see picture) to share and it was one of the best salads I've eaten - fresh, crunchy and includes avocado and citrus lime vinaigrette dressing. I kind of wanted to make that my meal and eat the whole thing! Once the main course arrived though, I was even more impressed - as the steaks were out of this world! My wife and son ordered the Filet Medalion Trio (see pictures) and I ordered the Basil Hayden's Bourbon Tenderloin Tips (see picture). We shared samples from each dish and they were some of the best steaks I've eaten - so tender and tasty! For dessert we shared a piece of cheesecake - also delicious! We were seated and had a view of the pond or water. Our server, Bryn, brought us a few glasses of bubbles to start while we looked at the menu. Bryn gave us some good recommendations, and we went with the Redstone breakfast. Redstone is known for their ribs, so what else could I choose? I selected a full rack of ribs, and the meat fell right off the bone. They had the perfect blend of BBQ, smoke, and tanginess. The sauce was not runny and stuck to the ribs. I didn't even bother with the fries. The coleslaw was mediocre and was lacking in flavor, but the ribs were heavy. We had a few glasses of wine to quench our thirst and relaxed and had great conversations as we caught up. Bryn checked up on us and made sure we had all we needed and provided perfect service. Perfect spot for a casual date night or catching a game while enjoying their great drink specials. We started with potato skins which were lacking a a bit of flavor, but if you dunk them into their seasoned sour cream? Game changer. For my entree, I tried the new whiskey BBQ burger. It was good, but felt like it could use a touch more BBQ sauce. I had a birthday reward club gift certificate for $50. However, there was bit of a kerfuffle because my phone number was not in their system (only my email address) and it took the waitress and manager some time to get that straightened out (more about that later). My wife ordered from the Happy Hour menu (available until 6 pm) and she had the Chicken Fried Rice ($6), Chicken Satay ($3), and the Potstickers ($9). She also had the Kona Big Wave beer ($3 Happy Hour price). These are pretty good prices (her beer was less than my soda!).If you look at the photos, you will notice that the dishes are well presented and look great (very Instragramable). However, I wish they tasted as good as it looked. According to her, the chicken satay was a small portion and was dry as shoe leather. The potstickers were "OK" and the fried rice was overly salty. Her overall comment was "Mid, not much flavor, too salty, too dry." One bright spot was that the Kona Beer was fresh and crisp. I ordered the Sweet-Chili Glazed Salmon which comes with fried rice ($37) as well as the Happy Hour Spicy Shrimp Tempura ($9). The salmon, although flakey, was overcooked, dry and surprisingly bland despite the Chili Graze. To me, it tasted like school cafeteria fish and the only seasoning I tasted was salt -- lots of salt. The fried rice was mushy and tasted like Uncle Bens Instant Rice. It was not well prepared. The tempura shrimp were plentiful and look good in my photo, but they were terrible. The "tempura" batter tasted like they had been over-dipped in flour (tempura should be a very light coating), and there was absolutely no crispiness at all. They also were bland, and hardly edible. The bill at the end did not include any discount for my birthday certificate (despite all of the kerfuffle with the manager) and I was double-charged for my soda, so both of those issues had to be corrected. To add insult to injury, Open Table informed me that the restaurant said that I was a no-show and I had to explain to Open Table that we indeed showed up and ate there at the exact time of the reservation. Kona strikes me as one of those places that is good for groups and perhaps people who like places and food that look good, but are less concerned about how it tastes. Kona Grill is owned by the same company that owns Benihana. There are a lot of similarities, except that the quality of food is generally better at Benihana and there is no smoking volcano.
