Stopped by to grab a snack, passing time before a movie nearby. I haven't been to Old Chicago in years and remember it being decent. We were able to get seated right away and it was happy hour. We got the fried pickles, buffalo chicken rolls and the Sicilian pepperoni pizza rolls. The rolls were good (I only ate the chicken ones). The bread was warm and soft. The fried pickles were crispy from the breading but good as well. It wasn't busy at all so service was decent overall. My only concern was the waiter was sitting at a table with his coworkers between checking on us. He was playing in his hair a lot and I know it's something people subconsciously do but I'm not sure that he went to wash hands before grabbing the food. I know it's just a risk we take eating out but just something that bothered me a bit. read more

First time trying Old Chicago yesterday for lunch. I highly recommend it. The ambiance was nice and comfortable, and the service was great. For food we ordered the sweet and smoky wings, which were really good and a large OC pizza, also really good. We will definitely be back to try the spicy chicken pizza that the table next to us ordered. read more

Just got back from Chicago a week ago and after having the best pizza there we were craving more. So we decided to hit up Old Chicago and very glad we did. The place gives you old style Chicago city vibes. Kyle was our server and was friendly and fast with our requests. We ordered Italian Nachos along with a couple tap beers to start. The beer was so cold just the way we like it and the Nachos were excellent with their special homemade marinara sauce. Then ordered the Chicago 7 deep dish and it was so delicious. Loved the crust! We really miss our Old Chicago Apple Valley location so we were driving though Eden Prairie and decided to stop in. We had our usual double deckeroni with some wings to go but husband ended up eating them all. We did take slightly less than half of the pizza home. Can't wait for lunch. The exposed brick and lots of booths lend itself well to typical Old Chicago atmosphere. Service was good. So glad we stopped. read more

My son and I were in the mood for pizza, and I couldn't remember the last time I had Old Chicago. This location has a huge dining room area, with plenty of TVs. The service was quick and attentive. The Ale infused crust was recommended my our waitress, so I went with it. We went with the Classic (pepperoni, sausage, mushroom and roasted garlic). I admit, it was one of the best pizzas I've had in years. I want another one soon. My only complaint was that there were bubbles in the crust. I worked at a pizza place for years, and I was always embarrassed if bubbles formed. It is a super easy solution. I normally knock off a star for the bubble crust, but this pizza was so delicious that it really does deserve the 5 stars. read more

I wanted to have lunch before heading to the airport to catch my flight. I did a search and found Old Chicago by my hotel. My first and only time eating at Old Chicago was with friends in Rochester, NY a decade ago. I remember loving the pizza and decided to give this location a try. This location has an interesting parking setup. It is shared with what seems to be an apartment building. I parked where it was designated for customers and walked in. It was a Monday (Thanksgiving Day for Canadians) at around noon. It wasn't all that busy. A server led me to a booth. There are tons of windows, which was cheerful. There were also Halloween decorations everywhere. Two new servers being trained that day. I will say that service was stellar having three people almost fussing over me! I got a deal where I got an individual pizza that comes with a house salad. I chose The Classic pizza, which has pepperoni, sausage, roasted garlic, and mushrooms, on Chicago thick crust. You need to go with Chicago thick crust. I also got a Diet Coke to wash things down. My Diet Coke was refreshing. One of the servers was so attentive and got me a refill halfway through my meal. My individual The Classic pizza was delicious. I had a filling breakfast and this pizza portion was perfect. The crust was chewy and crispy where it should be. The toppings were yummy. It is everything that I love about pizza. I wasn't craving salad, but this side salad was surprisingly delicious. The toasted almond slices made this salad so yummy. I got honey mustard dressing. I highly recommend it. I am normally not big on mustard, but it is subtle that I became a fan. My meal was ridiculously cheap. It was under $12 after taxes. I was so full. I paid with a credit card. I also signed up for OC Rewards. It's free and you can get free food as you collect points. I was able to claim my points after I had returned home. WiFi is free! The washrooms are in the middle of the restaurant, towards the back by the bar. There was an Oktoberfest beer menu, which looked intriguing. This restaurant has a relaxed feel, which I love. We were in Eden Prairie running errands and decided to just grab lunch. The only complaint I have is that it took a little time to be seated for the place not to be packed. It could just have been a staffing issue as most places are under staffed due to the pandemic the wings were crispy the burgers were big and juicy and the pizza a delicious and cheesy all the food came out promptly and was hot. they have plenty of beers to choose from and great drink options... the crowd it was kind of an older crowd mid to late 40's as the only children I seen were mines but they are kid friendly. Old Chicago has a new menu. Not sure I like it as well as the old. They are missing some key salads like a chopped salad. But as usual the food is well prepared, the service is really friendly. The cookies are really the best way to start or end a meal. To change things up, start your meal with a hot cookie and then move on to protein! Who says dessert has to wait til the end? It's always great to find an OC when I'm traveling outside of Colorado. After a long day of flight delays and driving in the Twin Cities for a youth hockey tournament, it was great to find this OC location within a mile of my hotel. I'm happy because this was a great spot! I ordered a margarita and it was delicious. My boyfriend tried their Long Island which was strong but hey, who can complain? We also tried the sunset beach because it just sounded fruity and very tropical... So that tasted the best. We didn't order any food here other than dessert. Give the strawberry cheesecake a try! They drizzle strawberry toppings and blueberries on top. I think we ate that in 1 minute! Overall, I do recommend coming here. Came to this location for lunch. I had never been to Old Chicago before. This place gave me the impression of a sports bar that serves really good pizza! Seriously, there were at least 7 flats screens showing all kinds of sports. It may have also been the beer being advertised there. This is in no way a complaint, I actually thought the place was neat. We attempted to seat outside, but ended up going back in, it was 88 degrees in Minnesota and the breeze "abandoned ship". I ordered a pizza with green peppers, sun dried tomatoes and chicken. My pizza was delish, I ordered it deep dish and that was a wonderful idea! I loved it. I had some lemonade with my pizza and it was, of course, not real lemonade. But who cares about drinking delicious natural lemonade?! ME! (lol). Derrick ordered a pepperoni and something else pizza.. I wonder if it was sun dried tomatoes.. (he wants to be like me when he grows up!). He seemed to like his pizza, but told me he liked mine better (I can't blame him!). We have been regulars at the Eden Prairie location for years so obviously we enjoy their menu, the food, and the ambiance. There is one complaint though. It seems like the air is always uncomfortably cold. We have mentioned it to our servers many times but it seems that there is nothing they can do about it. First off, I like to thank Kara D, Yelp Minneapolis Community Manager, for the gift card and opportunity to attend my first Yelp Elite event. Took my parents out and we ordered several dishes. Though, specifically, these were the two I ordered: - Sicilian Pepperoni Rolls (5/5) - Buffalo Chicken Salad (3.5/5) The pepperoni rolls were great and the dipping sauce was excellent! It is a nice appetizer for the family and it gives a satisfied craving for those who love pizza. The buffalo salad was decent. The cuts of meat were a little too big for my liking, but tasted fine. The salad tasted like any other, as there was not that "flair" that some salads have. One thing to note is that the portions are fairly large. I went with large and could not finish it, so take that into account. Service was excellent. We had two servers who were always attentive to our needs and made sure we all had a lovely experience. Food can be average, but if service is great, it can provide a balancing effect. I appreciate the opportunity by the Yelp community to try Old Chicago and had a fun experience. read more

My buddy and I went for happy hour during the pick your own beer Mini Tour. I got some Stone Arrogant Bastard and a Surly Furious. AMAZING beers. The best thing is that on Saturday and Sunday their happy hour is 12-6. It is the only OC I have found that does this, but they have garnered thousands of dollars from me by offering it. For the happy hour you get a 25 ounce beer for the price of a pint. Oh yeah! I got my usual happy hour single topping mini pizza for $4. Their pizza is soooo good. I watched a special on them and they use corn meal in their crust which gives it it's unique awesome flavor. The crispiness of the crust is just perfect and the sauce is splendid as well. We had lots of laughs and just a wonderful time. Our waiter was so good we told the manager that he was our best one ever, and that is huge. I have been here over 300 times, and he took the time to talk to us about beer, gave us a sample of beer, and was just an amazing server. Of course they have all the TVs on sports, which is awesome as well. I have 6 world beer tours here, and I am never disappointed. read more

This is an amendment to my original glowing review of Old Chicago. Me and a group of three, sometimes four friends have been to OC EP five times over the last month to complete the Winter Mini Tour. All five times we have sat in the bar area, and four of those five times we have had the same server. I don't want to rate an entire restaurant on the experiences with one of their employees, but the service from this person has been sub-par. Don't know if the management of OC reads these messages, but the young lady in question has black hair, facial jewelry and a "whatever" attitude. She served us tonight (Jan 4th), and her service was so lackluster, that when I recognized the manager walking around the bar area, interacting with customers, I flagged him down and me and another at our booth ordered our next round through him. I don't know if OC was more busy for a Thursday night, or if our server was covering more tables than usual, but the service was lacking, not what my group of friends has come to love about the staff at Old Chicago. So Props to the manager on duty tonight, he went above and beyond to have happy customers. And to the server in question, a smile and checking up on your tables/booths as you walk by goes a long way! read more

Counted 10 times staff walked by me after I was seated for 15 minutes and there was very few people in the main dining room....I get people are short handed. This location is one of a friend's favorite spots. My experience here has always been nice but usually my experience has been ordering food then picking it up. One thing I like about that is there are designated spots of Take Out Orders. If you're coming to eat and it's during happy hour it's crazy and good luck finding parking. It's hard. That's a downside to this location to other locations I've been at. One time I ordered something online and they forgot one of my items. I called and came back to pick it up. Everyone was so friendly about it and I ended up getting it for free. Didn't have to do it but I felt like it was a genuine mistake and they owned up to it. Next time I ordered online and picked it up they went through everything and were very friendly. I love ordering take out from this location. Yum! Food is great and service is nice. The downside to ordering online is that there's not a lot of space to write instructions for a custom order. Other than that I am happy. read more
