They had some nice lunch specials but none of them caught my eye so I had the chicken taco pizza. It tasted fresh and that's exactly what I needed. It was served with sour cream and salsa and topped with lettuce, tomato and olives. The other 2 in my group got the lunch walleye sandwich with chips and the avocado chicken sandwich (she normally always gets a burger). They both said it was ok. I was the happiest with mine. Our baby was feeling ill and we couldn't go out so we did takeout and the food door dashed to us 30 min after ordering. Our camp ground was a 9 min drive away. Pizza was like "the works", it was a really good mix of sausage pepperoni and veggies below the melted cheese. The cheeseburger was juicy medium cooked with pepper jack. Don't forget to look under the paper for the hidden sliced pickles! We air fried the fries back to a good crunch. I had read the Chicken Parm was good and luckily I paid attention! I did ask for extra sauce and there was p l e n t y especially for the pasta underneath. The sauce was rich and flavorful, the chicken cutlet crunchy on the outside, moist and yummy on the inside. There was lots of gooey, melted parmesan cheese. So good. The garlic "toast" was disappointing. It was spongy, soft, and had zero flavor. I couldn't even save it by scooping up sauce because the spongy texture was off-putting. This entree comes with a side garden salad and I ordered the blue cheese dressing. The dressing tasted like mayo with no hint of blue cheese. On my third bite, I uncovered a dead, slimy, rotten piece of arugula and that did it for the salad. Ugh. I definitely recommend the Chicken Parm. Maybe after this they'll tighten up their salad greens and wrap the toast separately from the entree. read more

We had never been there before but it is a very happening place to go too. We ordered the fried mushrooms and a pizza and both were amazing. The service was good and our food was brought out fast and hot. It is a bar/restaurant and even with a lot of people, we could carry on a good conversation without being overrun by noise. Came here because we had the drink passport and we wanted to give it a try. I've heard that their pizza is their claim to fame but we weren't in the mood for pizza so we both chose burgers. The food was decent. Except for the garlic cheese sauce that I added to my fries. That was very "sysco can" feeling and it wasn't very good. she really liked her beer and I really liked the sour I got, it was almost like a smoothie. We were basically the only people in the place and our server kind of acted like she was annoyed she had to serve us, but the service was good despite that. The place feels a little run down, older carpets, ceiling slightly discolored, and kind of a weird table set up throughout the place. While we weren't over the moon with our food, I think we'll come back again and try the pizza! read more

Stopped by turtles for a drink and dessert and really enjoyed ourselves. We ordered the ice cream Sunday and it was a huge portion and reasonably priced. It hit the spot on a warm summer night. Plenty of seating available inside and a nice patio space outside. There is free street parking all around. We usually get Turtles takeout when we are enjoying a beer at Shakopee Brewhall just down the street. The last time I ordered Turtles, I was having difficulty using their online app (prob user error) but since it's right next door, I just walked in and ordered. We got a pepperoni pizza. Nice after work place HH specials are quite nice Good for the beer geeks While this is not the best beer bar in the Twin Cities, it is definitely in the first tier and maybe as high as number two overall. They have 27 on tap I think and most or all of them rotate to something new once they tap the keg. They are Untappd verified and have a board and a badge. The trifecta! This place is a little off my beaten path, but it is not too far of a drive from work. For out of towners, it is close to Valleyfair, Canterbury Downs and Mystic Lake Casino. Easy to get in and out for happy hour for under twenty bucks and be pleasantly full. Their pizzas are super cheesy and super good. Had lunch at Turtle's today. Have to say I love trying out the local fare and when I saw something called a Juicy Lucy burger on the menu I knew I had try it. I thought I ordered the Cajun version but I either ordered incorrectly or the waitress did not hear me correctly as she brought me the regular version. While I thought it was interesting it was definitely not Cajun with spicy cheese. I think I would get a regular burger the next time. We were in town for a tournament and wanted to try a local place. When you first walk in it smells like wet dog. We were here on a Sunday around 11 and it's very apparent that they did not clean the night before. The carpet has food and napkins and the booth was disgusting. We recently rediscovered this place and love their food and service, the variety of food offered is also great. The thing that puzzled me and annoys me though is the weird smell of cleaning solvent that hits you when you first walk in, especially since it's not especially clean in the place. having read the other reviews I have to assume that was the owner's response to the reviews about it needing cleaning but you can't hide cleaning with smelly chemicals. We are also confused by the division of the place into three separate areas, where the nicest is never used, but we will keep going as long as the food and service remains awesome. read more

Came here for a wedding held in the back area. The staff was awesome! Food was great! DJ and dance area were nice and the atmosphere was fun! I can't really speak for the main dining areas but I'd definitely consider Turtles for any events that I'm hosting in the future. read more

For those suffering from celiacs, Turtle's offers many gluten free options. Having 2 family members that suffer from celiac it is not always easy finding options for ordering out. Turtle's keeps impressing us with their options. From gluten free burgers to tonight's chicken ranch pizza on a GF crust (that got two thumbs up from my daughter) they continue to knock it out of the park. Joined a set of co-workers here after work for some socializing and drinks. Turtle's has a nice selection of taps that stray from the usual Bud Light and other swill that is common at many establishments. I was able to enjoy three different beers--the classic Summer Shandy from Leine's, as well as two others I hadn't had before. The first was Summit's Cabin Crusher. This is a lime-infused Kolsch style ale. It was very refreshing with the warmer temperatures outside. The other was a Witbier from a local Minneapolis-area brewery called Fair State Brewing Co-op Zoot! Lots of different flavors, but no one overwhelmed the other. Served ice cold in appropriate glassware. The food was also outstanding. I tried the dream cheeseburger. This contains a beef patty, bacon, and chive cream cheese. The burger came cooked medium and featured a nice-sized patty that was well-seasoned. My side choice was crinkle fries w/seasoned sour cream. This has been an interesting thing I've come to enjoy about Minnesota. Turtle's version reminds me of A&E party dip from back home. Slight infusions of bell pepper, I believe are in it. I also ordered a cup of chicken and rice soup. To my delight, it was broth-based, not cream-based. Good sized chunks of celery were present as well. Came with oyster crackers. The bartender was friendly and came around with regularity. No complaints. A slight step up for Shakopee. read more
