Over the past few times we've dined at Willy Mccoys, we've had slightly worse experiences sadly. First, my food always seems to be saltier and saltier. No matter what food I order, it feels heavily over-salted. We've started to order without salt. I would suggest you do the same. Lastly, we went to leave and realised we left our to-go boxes on the table and they were thrown out right away. I would love to see like a 10 minute grace period if possible. We had 2 elote bowl boxes (pretty full) that we returned for, but were told they were gone. This was a birthday dinner, so that's a bit tough- but I guess ill just have to expect that from now on. Service was ok- it was busy, so checked in a few times. read more

Came here on a Monday after a good ol' tennis session with some friends. The place was packed but after learning it was 1/2 off burgers, I could understand why. The place was lively and it was buzzing. I got the bacon bbq deluxe burger and it was a very well done burger. Not in the meat-temperature sense but how well it was prepared. The burger was nice and medium. It was seasoned well, and the bacon was salty and the fried onions provided a nice crispy savoriness to the burger. The fries were just okay. I had some of my friends tater tots and would opt for the those instead going forward. Overall a really solid burger for only $8! read more

Cozy, yet lively, restaurant in Chaska. Always a great restaurant chain to visit, especially when it is conveniently nestled in many suburban neighborhoods in MN. Wanted to try something new and was craving tacos, which customers can't go wrong with birrias. The presentation of the dish looked wonderful. All the ingredients seemed to be correct. However, I'd wish that the meat were juicier, more flavorful, and more tender; should not depend on solely the broth. I want to see the meat fall apart easily. Cheese was great and melted fine. The tortilla could be more crispier--needs that satisfying crunch. The consommé could be improved... it felt less "brothy" and more watery? Perhaps simmering it longer could help by thickening it more. More spices too? Slices of lime should also be provided as its acidity can provide a bright finish by enhancing both the dish and the flavor. read more

We stopped here after going to Home Depot for some home projects. One thing we didn't realize is that it's 2 for 1 basically all the time! We ordered drinks and were delivered two!!! Way too much for us. The place was very busy, and our table kept getting bumped and our over servings of drinks kept spilling. The food was okay - nothing earth shattering l. I would just want a better layout so table didn't keep getting run in to by patrons and I would have appreciated a little better service. read more

Came here on a Monday night with a few friends. Learned that it was 1/2 off burgers on Mondays so I wanted to try it out. The dining room was PACKED which made the experience very lively, thankfully we came at a good time to get seating right away. Mom and I went looking for something to eat after running errands. We sat outside since the sun was going down and enjoyed the quiet as mom wears hearing aids. The seating outside was comfortable and clean. The service was fast and attentive. Mom got her usual fish and chips and I got the salmon salad. Both were amazing. I loved how spicy the salmon was. read more

Wow! This place fills up on Thursday for Happy Hour! I stopped in with work friends, and had some drinks and apps. From a value standpoint, drinks were 2 for 1s and the pricing was super reasonable. Our server was attentive too given how slammed the restaurant got over time. The menu is has a ton of choices, which made it an easy place to please everyone in our group. read more

This is the best place for a lunchtime beer! Maddie is an amazing bartender and everyone else is wonderful!

Let's be clear: I don't hand out five stars unless I'm fed, seated, and spiritually healed. Willy McCoy's in Chaska checks every box. The food? Classic, crave-worthy, and generous--like your favorite uncle who always sneaks you cash at holidays. The burgers are thick, juicy, and half-price on Mondays (yes, I said HALF). Flatbreads on Tuesday? Get two. One to eat and one to apologize to your diet. Service? Sharp and sweet. No fake smiles, just real people who hustle and make you feel like your table matters--even when it's packed. Fried cheese curds, order crispy, because the dipping sauce is fantastic! Hot Beef and mashed potatoes w/gravy. Salad instead of bread n fries. Whiskey Burger (think blue cheese Juicy Lucy) W/crisscross fries and special homemade sauce that is so good you will sip it! Chef definitely makes homemade sauces A+. Secret off menu items (cross cross fries n special sauce substitutions are allowed. Lemon Macaroons for dessert. Yum yum yum ! All A+++ It's a hometown spot without the snooze. A little loud, a lot fun, and always full of folks who just want good food and a break from chaos. If you're in Chaska and not eating here at least once a week, I'm judging you. --Chris S., a local with good taste and better instincts read more

Super busy with a 20 minute wait. We got seated after that 20 minute wait as promised and we were served accordingly. After we ordered our food it came out in just 10 minutes even with how busy it was. The food was hot and delicious. Definitely deserving of praise read more

I stopped in because I was in the mood for a whiskey and asked the bartender what they had available. I was met with a blank stare and handed a drink menu that only listed wine and beer. Meanwhile, a server walked by wearing a shirt with "Whiskey" printed in big letters across the back -- which felt a little ironic. I gave up on the whiskey and ordered a beer and the steak bites instead. The steak bites were clearly a cheaper cut of beef and cooked to medium-well, which left them dry and chewy. Not great. The bartender then poured what was essentially a glass of foam from the Cold Snap tap. That usually means the line is warm or dirty -- neither is a good sign. He ended up dumping three or four pours before finally getting a proper glass. This place just isn't geared toward someone looking for a decent whiskey selection and a quality bite to eat. It feels more like a two-for-one Bush Light, burger-and-fries kind of spot with an inexperienced staff. If you're looking for a cheap beer and a casual hangout, it might fit the bill. If you're hoping for a solid whiskey experience, you'll likely be disappointed. read more

Love this place! I posted this picture of the Nashville Hot Tacos awhile back but they just got rid of them. Do you not sleep on Willy's taco salad! We love sitting at the bar at this "hometown" bar that over the years has changed names and Willys is probably the best so far. The two for one specials are a hit! When ordering the taco salad I asked for the blackened shrimp and the portion size is great for the price with giant shrimp perfectly seasoned. I crave this salad almost weekly alone with their steak Chimichurri wrap (drool). Pricing is $13-16 for most meals. read more

Normally this is not the kind of place that I think of when I want take-out, and I WAS WRONG! FANTASTIC TAKE OUT! Willie McCoy's didn't use to be what I'd think of as a great fish & chips place. I WAS WRONG AGAIN?! Willie McCoy's Fish & Chips are OUTSTANDING! I've ordered them late, I've ordered them earlier, I've ordered multiple orders multiple times. and they have ALWAYS been CONSISTENT and VERY GOOD! Made from scratch, crispy, Golden, crunchy outside, steamy tender cod inside. How good are they? I had to order them AGAIN the next night! Not only was it easy to order on their website, they had my order ready FAST. Service? Well, it was take-out, but even still, multiple staff members were eager to help me in making sure I was taken care of. From the fellow at the front, to the female server serving a table and mentioning as she was walking by "your order is almost up!" and said with a cheery smile. That service level is far less common these days. Even the bartender who I had zero interaction with was friendly in shouting out a "thanks for stopping in, have a great night!". My impression of this place is that they know how to take care of their customers, they know how to make GREAT, consistent, high-quality food, their portions are great, and their pricing is fair and reasonable. I didn't order their nachos, but I saw a mountain of a platter of what looked to be a monster premium loaded nacho platter. I also was impressed that they honored veterans with a free meal, I took a Pic! and at Willie McCoy's it will be tasty, high-quality, and served by friendly staff. Well done Willie McCoy's, I'm impressed Keep it up! Thanks for the great service and great fish & chips EVERY TIME! Perfect for a bed picnic and a movie! Ok, and I have some pics for you! Give them a try! read more

Its a nice restaurant. Has lots space . Food has been always good and consistent between different times we are there. Service is quick and friendly. I tried this place out for dinner and they didn't disappoint. They have both inside and outside seating and a large bar area depending on what you want. I ordered the Parmesan grilled cheese. It was super unique but really tasty with both hot and sweet flavors. It had pepper jack and cheddar cheese with apples and bacon all melted on a Panasonic crusted sour dough bread. They also have good specials depending on what day it is. We were there on a Wednesday and they had 2 for one drinks and also taco food specials. I would have given 5 stars other than the drinks were pretty watered down and also the service was really slow. Our server was trying really hard I just think they were understaffed. read more

One of the few sit down restaurants readily available in Chaska; the venue serves the usual American fare from a chain and was ok. Service was decent although our waitress was a bit forgetful at times and a bit overzealous on others (she gave us a literal stack of napkins when we asked). The best part about them is that they offer a BOGO special on all their beers and ciders during the weekdays; so I'd come again just for their drink specials when I'm in the area seeing family. read more

Bragging isn't always the best thing to do. But oh boy, does Willy McCoy's have permission to boast about their roast! We had the Pot Roast Dinner, Fajita Chicken Flatbread, and the Hot Italian Sandwich Gravy can be a gamble at some places; it could be a home run or a miss. But it was fresh, flavorful, and a total hit from here No complaints on the other dishes as well, but the roast won the #1 prize for me Shoutout to Kaylee for being an amazing server and helping us stay dry on an (unexpectedly) rainy day! Also, the aesthetic in this place is awesome. It's pretty for fancy cowboy families haha! Wouldn't hesitate to go back read more

Used to love this place, but the food and service has gone downhill and the prices have gone up. May be due to Covid, not sure. I quit going here altogether. Tried a few new menu items tonight. The Roasted Red Pepper Feta Dip was really awesome - definitely recommend! Also tried the Chimichurri Steak wrap - unfortunately, the steak was unseasoned and poorly cooked, no garlic aioli to be found. It is a new menu item so it could improve with time. I love their Parmesan crusted steak taco so I was hoping this would be a good item! Would love to see shaved steak or prime rib and some some aioli - switching out blue cheese for feta did help a little. Our server Lauren was excellent!
