I've been to this location a couple of times while visiting a friend in Chaska, and honestly, that's probably the only reason I'd come back. Every time I leave Crooked Pint, I just end up feeling... unsatisfied. It's not bad, but the food always seems to be missing that extra kick of flavor. On my most recent visit, I ordered the Mad Pepper Juicy Lucy, expecting something spicy but instead, it was completely mild and kind of bland. To make matters worse, the service was pretty slow and our server didn't seem very attentive. If you're just looking to grab a drink and maybe an appetizer during happy hour, it's fine for that. But if you're after a meal that really hits the spot, I'd say there are better options nearby. read more

Went to here last night with a group of 6: Vibes: the restaurant has a lot of space and accommodations for larger group. They also have a wedding venue and curling arena attached so it is pretty busy every time but I have never waited more than 10 minutes for a table. Food: I got the loaded tater tots as an appetizer. I would say 4/5 for those, they were good I wish there was more bacon but the tot was stuffed with green onion and cheese then it came with queso and bacon on top. I would get them again. As my meal I got the lobster melt and it wasn't my favorite it didn't have as much cheese as I would want and felt like it lacked flavor. This restaurant is located just outside of a quaint park in what I think is 'downtown' Chaska. The interesting thing about this restaurant is that it overlooks a curling club. Whether you understand the sport or not, it is interesting to see teams do what they do while you eat your meal. I love a good flight of beer and it looks like they serve that. Service and food quality as expected for a bar and grill type. However, I do think the bread went stale rather quickly or was dry straight out the gate. Overall, if I was in the area again and looking for a solid bite to eat, I would stop here but definitely pass on the pretzel. read more

I don't get to Chaska (or Minneapolis, or even Minnesota) very often. But when I do, I come here. Firstly because they have a damn good beer list with a lot of locals. Second because their food is elevated bar food and very good too. But one of the coolest things about this place is that it looks right out onto a world-class curling venue (Chaska Curling Center). So you can hang out, eat and drink we'll and enjoy a great sport too. Last but certainly not least is the service. They definitely go out of their way to take care of you. But beware, it can be a little slow when they are busy. Come check it out, and maybe take a curling class too! read more

This was one of the first places we tried when moving to Chaska almost 6 years ago and we have been fans ever since. It has a front-row view of the curling sheets. This comes in handy because my husband is a member of the curling club and is a part of a league there. But if curling doesn't interest you there are large TVs everywhere and my favorite is when they light the fire pits. I miss the very long firepit they used to have a couple of years back but that's being picky. My favorite items on the menu are fish tacos, nachos, and taco salad. I have to have a Berries Gone Wild margarita every time I visit. I find the drink light and refreshing. My husband likes the walleye and beer selection. They have a nice variety of local beers. We love sitting either inside or out on the patio. Their service has always been good and the bartenders are great. When sitting at the bar be aware of the slant of the bar and don't put your drink too close to the edge. But you don't have to remember I find the bartenders are very good at making that clear in case you forget. My one wish was that they would put the leather chairs and round tables back right against the curling glass. I would specifically request that spot, even so, it's one of my absolute favorite spots in Chaska. read more

We had no idea there was a restaurant inside the Chaska Curling Center in downtown Chaska until our new our neighbors mentioned it was one of their favorite places to get a good dinner at a reasonable price --and watch the sport of curling simultaneously ! So we went for dinner with them, and were not disappointed. We asked for a table close to the window wall that looks into the rink where, several groups ("teams"?) were practicing sliding the granite "stones" down the ice accompanied by someone with a broomstick frantically sweeping the ice directly in front of the moving stone. Fascinating. For a franchised restaurant the beer options and menu choices were quite diverse. Our waitperson seemed more interested in getting us in and out than letting us enjoy the atmosphere, talk, and take our time making our drink and food choices. Pushy is the word that comes to mind. However, the atmosphere of the ale house was pleasant so we decided not to let our waitperson's demeanor spoil what promised to be an enjoyable experience. One person in our party ordered the Asian pork tacos. They were served "American" style, with lettuce, cheese, chopped tomatoes, cilantro, roasted corn, tortilla strips and salsa. They were huge. While tasty, she had to take one home in a doggy bag. Another in our party ordered what the ale house claims is the best Juicy Lucy around. Although I beg to differ --Matt's Bar in south Minneapolis is, in my view, still the originator and reigning champ-- my Classic Lucy was quite good. It's too bad it was plated with the gooey cheese seeping out between the burgers and making a mess on the plate. Regardless, we just liked the place. Was looking for a good place to get a beer and some food and my friends brought me here. I was pleasantly surprised with the curling club on one side with the bar and restaurant on the other. I was able to watch curling while having my dinner, sign me up!! I enjoyed a nice jalapeño Lucy with a side of fries and a hazy ipa to wet my whistle. The burger was good, not as hot as I was expecting but I was hungry... The beer was hoppy and definitely quenched my thirst. The service was slow but it looked like they were under staffed, our waiter/waitress was still very nice and brought everything in a reasonable amount of time. I'd definitely go back to enjoy a bite and some curling again soon, very nice setup! Parking is easy seen as how it's attached to a park, good for walking off that meal... wink wink!! read more

We also ordered chicken wings and again, if I want that quality, I'll buy some Tysons frozen chicken nuggets and pour some buffalo sauce on them. Built in connection with the curling club, the Ale House is on one side of the glass and the curling club is on the other, so you can sit and have some great food and a pint of your favorite draft while watching curlers battle it out in the ice. So sad by our recent visit to Crooked pint, Chaska. It was not busy yet but our server was not ready to help customers. Waited for 15 min for service. When we ordered food it was prompt however burger was undercooked & raw in the center. Tater tot hotdish had only 4 Tater tots on top of a soup like consistency hot dish. Very disappointing. The fun part of this venue is definitely the curling ice. We had to skedaddle before the match began, but it was fun watching them "pebble" the ice with sprinkled water ahead of the event. My friends think I'm crazy, but this is my favorite winter Olympic sport. We were lucky enough to snag a table rinkside for a great view and I wish we could have hung around to watch them play. Next time. It got really busy as soon as we arrived and it is LOUD! There are two levels, the upper around the bar and a few steps down from that are comfy padded chairs around nice tables right by the wall of glass open to the rink. Service was quick and pretty attentive considering the place was packed on a Monday night in June. I wish our server had introduced herself so I could give her a shout out for handling so many tables so well. I knew going in the food would be expensive, but I was hoping it would be a bit better than it was. It was just pretty good. We started with the Dry Rub Wings which came out hot and crispy without any breading (HOORAY). The dry rub turned out to be ... salt & pepper. They tasted good, they were crispy without being greasy, but I expect more from a dry rub. My own rub recipe has thirteen spices. I ordered the Buff n Blue Lucy with tots ($3 extra) but it was certainly not a "juicy" Lucy. Because blue cheese doesn't melt, but also the meat was overcooked. It needed something like cream cheese or American cheese mixed with the crumbles to add that gooey melt factor you expect from a Lucy. They are not stingy with the blue cheese, but the Buffalo sauce was scant. There was a smear of Buffalo sauce and more blue cheese crumbles on top of the burger, but because the burger is pretty dry I recommend asking for a side of Buffalo sauce for dipping. The tater "tots" were yummy, but I say they're more like large, crispy tater "preschoolers" of shredded potato, cheese, bacon, chives! :D Yum. Worth the extra money to me, they were the best part of the dinner. My son had the Prime Rib French Dip with fries. The fries were not hot, and some were actually cold. The bread seemed a *bit stale as it crumbled to the plate with every bite he took but he said the flavor was good and the jus was tasty. It wasn't a cheap test run at $49 for two with no alcohol or soft drinks, but I imagine it's really fun to watch curling close up, so that's a plus! read more

There's not much to dislike about this Crooked Pint location! Besides the fact that the staff is friendly and the food is pretty good (really good for the area), they also have a full view of the Chaska Curling center. Super fun to watch! They have a lot of local tap beers and various specials throughout the week. Go try the weekend brunch - they have a good bloody mary! read more

Great local restaurant with so many delicious options on the menu. I would highly recommend coming here! This will probably become our place to bring out-of-town family members when they come to visit. A neat perk is you get to check out the view of the curling center ice rink. There aren't any signs pointing you in the correct direction of the restaurant on the outside, so just know to enter the curling center doors and then the entrance is straight ahead. I ordered the fish tacos which came with a side of chips and salsa. The tacos were absolutely outstanding and I would definitely order again! My fiance on the other hand said his burger was pretty dry. I was really hoping for a 5 star review on this place, but what really got us was the side options that come with the burgers. The menu states that you can substitute the standard half pound of fries for cheese curds but for an extra $2.50. We opted for that but were disappointed by the amount he received. I was not expecting a half pound of cheese curds by any means, but he mayybbee got nine total. Definitely was not worth the extra money and the substitution. We now know to stick with the fries next time. But, the service was excellent! Just remember that you get 3% off if you pay with cash, therefore to make it easy, we bumped up our tip by 3%. read more

Look I honest have loved this place and am there regularly with customers and family. My tab averages $200 plus when I bring my crew in. But I'm tired of accepting mediocre or actually less in terms of host/hostess that can't fog a mirror or likely just got out of juvenile detention. Service here is horrible unless you get one of two people, both of which are bartenders named Chase and Lori, cause otherwise expect poor service. Worse yet, I have never had or seen a manager walk out onto the floor and greet customers and ask how things are going, etc. Generally their just running food from kitchen to bar. But finally, I brought 8 of us there yesterday for a birthday lunch and late happy hour, 2 pm mind you well past lunch rush, and a disheveled and clearly stressed out you hostess greeted us with a command of Stop we can't seat you for 30 minutes or more, we are so understaffed we can't take any more customers. We actually thought it was a joke and once we realized it wasn't we said we would wait at the bar against her wishes. When greeted warmly as usual by Chase the bartender and asked what we'd like, we said well we were told we couldn't order anything that you were too busy and understaffed. Clearly that wasn't the case and Chase took good care of our crew and eventually transferred us to a large table to enjoy or days celebration and watch the Frozen Four. Our server Jamie was very friendly and did a great job. But the service is going downhill and the management are not doing their job ensuring quality hiring, training, and service by all not just the few. So I'll change my review once things change but until then beware, and go straight to the bar for good service or make sure you get Jamie as your server! read more

We had a great experience here as part of a curling team building event. We didn't sample much food but what we had was really good. We had three different flatbreads that were crisp and not at all burnt (unlike a lot of them out there). We tried the Margherita (good), Bourbon BBQ Chicken (better), and Ham and Brie (best). The last two were really good. In addition we had a large salad that was really nice with lots of cucumbers, tomatoes, and good crunchy greens.
