The front patio is all at a slope, so pretty uncomfortable depending where you sit - would definitely opt for the back patio if wanting to again. Our server was friendly and food was quick on a busy night! I love the vegan chicken here - I eat it every time im here & im not even a vegan!! The tater tots are also just such a good treat. The ahi tuna seems to be our second favorite and gives a really large portion! Love the variety of options here and the friendly service. Cant wait to stop back in! read more

Whoa. I've been such a fan of Craft and Crew. Since the manager at The Bloc in SLP helped my family with a to-go order in February that was beyond amazing, I have been super loyal. Every time we eat out I suggest a craft and crew spot. I bought gift cards. I ordered catering from Duke on 7 last week. Today I went to Pub 819 with my 4 lb chihuahua...and suddenly I was treated like a problem customer. Because of my dog, when I've checked in at the front, they sent me around the outside to the back. So I've been adamantly respectful of that. When I told my family I was at Pub 819 and they should order Friday dinner to go from there, they trusted me. When my brother in law pulled in at the back of the restaurant in the rain, I stepped in to bring them their food from the front. The manager of Pub 819 came running along the route to the back entrance and took my fresh drink out of my hands. I told him I was following their orders to walk along the outside of the building to the back so I didn't walk through the restaurant with a dog. He said "we were cutting you off anyway." Ummm...what? That was never even an issue. Very random. I wanted to bring business to a local operation. So much for good intentions. I was humiliated. He took my drink out of my hands as I was trying to bring my family their food. I wasn't going to argue with him so I just left. It was an awful experience that completely soured my view of the Craft and Crew family. I tried to support local, but I ended up embarrassed in the alleyway looking silly. read more

Pulled up at the bar on a Friday night for a beer, burger and some Brussels sprouts. Service was quite good and the bartenders took good care of me throughout my experience. Food came out quick and was pretty good. I ordered the 819 Old Fashioned burger and the apple glazed Brussel sprouts along with a beer. The 819 Old Fashioned Burgee has historically been one of my favorite burgers of my area. It has apricot jam, Brie, bacon and caramelized bourbon cherries. It was pretty solid, but I noticed halfway through it was missing the cherries, a key piece to the puzzle. Still, the burger was pretty solid. The apple glazed Brussel Sprouts were good, I wasn't sure about them at first to be honest. I had a feeling the sauce and Brussels weren't the right fit, but they quickly grew on me and I came to really enjoy them. I did however feel as though the Brussels sprouts were a little under cooked and were still a bit hard on the inside, still delicious. Pub 819 is Craft & Crew owned restaurant and has a menu similar to the other group restaurant, but they do have a diverse menu. We did not take advantage for the Pawtio since it was cold outside, but I look forward to visiting it in the summer to get my puppy a meal from their dog menu. We started the night with cheese curds & steak bites. I preferred the curds with a light crispy outside and perfectly melted inside. The steak bites were tender, but had too much seasoning and felt floury. The table favorites were the extremely fresh Poke Bowl and Yum Yum bowl. The Hopkins burger has smashed patties, and since Hokpins is known for raspberries, it comes with a flavorful raspberry bbq sauce. read more

Stopped into Pub 819 in Hopkins for the first time since their remodel after the fire, and I was excited to see how things changed. I've always liked their food and happy hour, so I was looking forward to trying a couple of their newer items. I ordered the nachos during happy hour, and they were okay. Not terrible, but definitely lacking in flavor and not as memorable as I hoped. My highlight was actually the burger of the month the Narcos burger. I usually go for their Hot Dickle burger, but this one might be the new favorite. Great flavor and cooked well. On the flip side, the tater tots were a big miss. Dry, bland, and honestly comparable to little lumps of coal. Not the best and not worth the extra cost. Overall, it's still a decent spot, especially if you're already in the area. Great hot spot on Main Street in downtown Hopkins. You will find a nice menu, comfy atmosphere, and great service. Guinness on tap and a classic burger hit the spot for me to celebrate my birthday. I don't know what was going on, but the place was hopping on a Tuesday night . There was a 10 minute wait but it was well worth it. Parking on Main Street in Hopkins is a little dodgy so I would recommend turning off onto a side street where there are a parking lots. You can walk almost anywhere in a couple blocks, give it a try, you won't bedisappointed. read more

New friend and I came here tonight for dinner and drinks. For our drinks, we had white sangria and red wine. Honestly I'm a wimp when it comes to alcoholic drinks so the waitress recommended the white sangria when I asked for sweet drink recommendations. The white sangria had the right amount of sweetness and the addition of citrus fruits enhanced the sweetness and added a bit of tartness. It wasn't overly heavy on the alcohol so I didn't feel tipsy like I have in the past when I've ordered sangria. For our entrees, we had the ahi bowl and buffalo chicken wrap. While the ahi itself was flavorful, the rest of the dish needed more sauce. Fortunately our waitress was able to bring some soy sauces, which made the dish more flavorful. As a poke connoisseur, the bowl just wasn't the same caliber of poke I've experienced at poke spots. My friend's wrap was generous and she had enough leftovers to take home. Service was friendly and I was seated right away. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating - we sat inside as most of the tables outside were full and inside was cooler. Prices were reasonable; my drink and bowl was ~$31. Though I probably wouldn't order the ahi bowl again (and get my ahi fix at poke and sushi restaurants), I'd come back for drinks and try other items on their menu. I love that Pub 819 is walking distance from my apartment so I can enjoy a drink and not need to spend $$ on an uber/lyft to get home safely. Another solid restaurant by the group that also owns the Howe in South Minneapolis. This is more of your traditional bar environment. A number of big screen televisions both inside and outside. The outside patio is actually covered and it appears could be used even in some cooler months. Good service. Good food. All in all a solid choice. read more

My friend and I went to a local bakery class and had an hour to spare for dinner. This restaurant was a few blocks down. My friend has visited once prior for drinks and apps, but never a meal. We tried the pretzel sticks and cheese curds. Both of which are my favorite apps when. The cheese curds were decent, but the pepper jam that came with it was OUT OF THIS WORLD. In fact, I asked for a big side to go and was brought a soup bowl of it. I'll be set for the rest of summer. The pretzel sticks were decent, but have had better - I kid you not, go try Applebee's... you're welcome. The burger was tasty and a generous patty. The chicken sandwich was a little over spiced - very salty. I'm an old fashioned lover and tried theirs. It was good, but sweeter than I like. My friend got a mojito, and it was very refreshing. This spot has gotten really popular! As it should. Good eats, variety off drinks, cool space. My group was attending the PenPals event by Hennepin County Library at the Hopkins Center of the Arts down the street. So we were a bit perplexed when they weren't honoring the reservation we made! We were on a tight schedule!! Luckily they enclosed their back patio and heated it so an overall comfortable space to fit us in though we thought we had a reservation. Weird. Lucky for them the food was good! Though we did get offered other table's food...we would have eaten it, but had not ordered it. Again weird. Sadly our friends cauliflower bowl took forever though she ordered first. What? We should have kept the other table's food! So as long as they figure out their "reservation" system (just call it what it is please adding you to the queue). Great burgers! There's a main dining area, which can get a little loud, but there is also a heated patio in the back for winter that is quieter. Both areas have TVs with sports. Foodwise, the double royale was delicious and perfectly cooked (i loved the fresh onions, garlic aioli and pickles). Fries were nice and crispy, and cheese curds were super cheesy and came with some kind of jam sauce that was actually delicious. Some places do too much breading, but not here! They also have a list of mocktails, cocktails and wines in addition to beer. Food came out pretty quickly and for how busy it was our server was pretty attentive and friendly. My message to the owner/manager of this establishment, if your staff are rude, your prices are too high, and your food is tasteless, removing my review isn't going to solve a thing.
