Stopped in for a happy hour treat after shopping in the galleria and had a great time! The interior is pretty dark and moody - feels like how you'd expect a steakhouse to be! Our service was fast and our waitress was incredibly kind. They have a pretty decent happy hour menu for drinks and small bites. I got the bartender lemonade and it was not outstanding but was pretty good given the price! The onion rings were pretty expensive but absolutely delicious. I would definitely order them again! The star of the show was the keylime pie. It was incredible! I'd be curious to try a full meal there but would definetly recommend for happy hour.
I was craving a steak and this was an easy spot close to home. Sides are separate which seems pretty standard for a steakhouse. I went with two oysters, filet mignon cooked Pittsburgh Blue and a side of asparagus. I would describe the pittsburgh blue as more of a rare to medium-rare. It's seared on the outside and described as cold and red on the inside but mine was a bit warm and pink on the inside. So don't be deterred from their "Pittsburgh Blue" if you do like rare steak. The sear on the outside added nice texture and flavor. The one weird thing to me was the asparagus had the woody ends still attached. Not sure if this was a presentation choice so they were all the same length. They were cooked nicely though.
Went to Pittsburgh Blue for the first time on a Saturday mid-day and I'm mad at myself for not visiting this place sooner. Everything was incredible--the food, the service, and the ambiance. Our server was extremely knowledgeable. He helped everyone at our table make confident, informed ordering decisions. We ordered several rounds of cocktails. I had the margarita. It was strong and tasted great. For my meal, I ordered the 22 oz Cowboy Ribeye with Black Truffle Bone Marrow Compound Butter plus a side of Béarnaise. I also committed to both the Lobster Mac & Cheese and the Loaded Mashed Potatoes, because I believe in living fully and with zero self-control. The steak was unreal. It paired perfectly with the compound butter. I almost ordered it medium rare, but our server Kyle recommended medium for this cut, and he was absolutely right. Trust Kyle. Kyle knows things. I'd order this steak again with zero hesitation. The loaded mashed potatoes were a crowd favorite. One dish was enough for all four of us, and we still had leftovers. The Grown Up Mac & Cheese with Bacon and Lobster is a must try. I've tried a lot of lobster macs around the Twin Cities--probably more than any reasonable person should--and this one easily holds its own among the best. Overall, I loved this steakhouse. Everything hit. Everything impressed. We will absolutely be back.
Love this place. While I've had better steaks, PB does the Petite Filet just right, which is to say a touch darker than medium rare. I get about 10 bites, and enhanced with a little béarnaise, it's excellent. Leaves room for the fantastic corn and hashbrowns, if not dessert this time. I did save space for a fine Buffalo Trace Manhattan. Table service was, as usual, quite professional yet very friendly. No complaints. Yes, one can spend less for steaks and potatoes and bourbon, but PB gets it right for a reasonable fare. Plus, these will be wonderful leftovers - I might see 3 meals for the price!
The servers, Dale, was amazing. My friend and I went there for lunch and had a delicious meal. We each ordered the steak and fries and had lemon drop martinis. The place was quiet, which was nice.
We came here for lunch on a Friday. We sat outside and had the patio to ourselves. I had the Parmesan crusted walleye for lunch. It came with a lemon-dill butter sauce and broccolini. I will say, the walleye didn't seam "crusted" at all with Parmesan but it still had good seasoning. Tasted like walleye. The lemon-dill sauce was fairly neutral in flavor. I didn't mind it. The broccolini was steamed but I kinda wished it was charred. I also had the blackberry mojito martini. It was very berry and syrupy. Service was average and so were prices. The dinner menu looks great and I could see myself enjoying other menu options.
Good steak and good wine. Friendly people and great service! All the steaks we tried from past visits to this one has always been on point. And yes, they have Wagyu! Reservations recommended. Good for a first date, special occasion, or a business meal. It's casual enough for a fun dinner and formal enough without being uptight. Plus it's in the Galleria so you can roam the shops or go to Barnes and Noble if you're waiting for your table.
What a treat going to this steakhouse. The bone in ribeye was amazing. The loaded mashed were great as well. My companion said they make the best old fashioned there. My glass of wine was a perfect to the meal.
I took my mom for her first real steak house experience. We both got the 9oz waygu sirloin, very good, I will be back before they are gone. We also had the blue style hashbrowns, always a favorite, and the buffalo Brussel sprouts, I personally really enjoy them. I had a prefect dirty martini w/ bleu cheese olives. We celebrated my brothers birthday on a Monday night with a group of 6 of us. It was not busy at all, and we were seated right away. We grabbed a drink from the happy hour menu, $7 House Cabernet - which was a great wine. We started with the steak bites, which came with a horseradish sauce and chips. (This might've been my favorite dish of the whole night). We also had the French onion soup, which was rich, cheesy, and warm - all the things you want from soup! We ended up splitting green beans, Mac & cheese, and hashbrowns for the table, in addition to multiple steaks. I split the Cowboy 22oz, cooked medium. It was good! I'm not the best judge when it comes to steak, my only complaint is it was a little fatty. The sides were also good, a lot of butter in all 3 dishes, I wished there was more depth to the flavor, 7.5/10. Also- The service was great!! Our waitress was friendly, attentive, & knowledgeable. Everything arrived timely, and perfectly. Overall - I highly recommend coming for their happy hour, and if you want to splurge then split a few sides & steak.
We have been coming to Pittsburgh Blue for over ten years and have never been disappointed. We had dinner here again tonight and again was so satisfied. We normally will start with a shrimp cocktail, then move on to a Caesar salad for our "apps" but tonight we skipped those and split the seafood Louie salad! The Louie has lobster crab and shrimp on butter lettuce with avocado and tomatoes. It was delish. Then we split the 16 oz ribeye which was cooked perfectly and shared a side of sautéed mushrooms. Everything was amazingly delicious. The martinis are super sized and come with a back up refill. And did I mention our server, we were destined to have Destiny as our server! she is awesome! She was on top of everything, and fun to talk to!
Came here to celebrate my bestie's belated birthday for their happy hour. Our server was attentive and prompt with taking our drink orders and checked on us quite often. The food was good; however, the tamari sauce for the wings could use a little sugar as it was very salty. Otherwise, everything else we ordered was flavorful and tasty.
Great location in the galleria. Overall had a great experience with great service. Steak alone is great and the saltiness can vary. The bar table tops are high, great if you're tall and the place runs a little dark. Sweet potatoes waffle fries are delicious, they come with a bacon sour cream dipping sauce. They have Dijon and yellow mustard upon request. The onion rings are huge, but looks better than it tastes. read more

In this masculine-themed steakhouse, there is value as long as you manage your expectations. For any Minneapolitans or those familiar with local and legendary steakhouse Manny's, this place is Manny's-Lite. Prices for food and drink here, on average, are about 25% less. So what does that get you? It gets you a clubby, dark and masculine environment with classic cocktails, a moderately large wine list, and a high-quality beef program. But the cost savings is noticeable because the cocktails are not quite as large, the wine list is mostly of bottles and varietals that are not highly sought after, and the beef is aged for fewer days in somewhat smaller cuts. Don't get me wrong, everything I had here was very good. But it was not over the top in volume, size, or presentation and because my steak was smaller than the highest end steakhouses I have been to, it actually looked a little dwarfish on the larger serving plate it was presented upon. It was certainly tasty and I enjoyed not having to shell out a huge amount of money so it really was a case of getting what I paid for and I walked away happy with the trade-off of less size and age for less money. Would I recommend this place and go here again? Of course, and I only have nice things to say about my time here, my meal, and the service. But if you are coming here expecting behemoth portions and a custom heritage beef program, I think you might leave slightly disappointed. I will end this review by coming full circle: this place makes for a really good meal and a nice night out. Manage your expectations accordingly and you will certainly be happy. read more

Overall impressed with Pittsburgh blue! I like that they offer HH on the weekend however I feel like the prices are a little high for the amount of food you get. Our table ordered the Buffalo shrimp and the steak bites. Both were delicious! read more

Insane meal here. Do not miss their scallops. They are MAGICAL AND HEAVENLY. Filet Oscar style was the way to go. Parm walleye was incredible. Can't go wrong with the loaded mash potatoes either. Our service was too freaking notch. Absolute stunner meal. read more
We were at the galleria during a busy Saturday and were worried about where we should go for lunch. So glad we decided on Pittsburgh Blue! Cozy atmosphere, great hospitality and customer service, and a nice a nice selection of food. They were serving their lunch menu and the half sandwich with a side salad was a perfect side for me, although the salad was more like a bowl of greens but still good. They also have a nice kids menu. My two kids split the chicken tenders and fries and the one order was more than enough for them. read more

This was my first time and it was not my favorite steakhouse. The service was great, like really great. I thought the asparagus was nothing special and not worth the price, same goes for the creamed spinach. The horseradish crusted filet was good, but I would say without the horseradish there wouldn't be much flavor. Obviously the bread was delish. The loaded mashed potatoes were served cold, they corrected it and they were good. My husband's sirloin had a nutty flavor that wasn't bad but it wasn't fantastic. I am definitely a fan! This establishment had a fun crowd on one of the snowiest, coldest, and longest Mondays in a long time. The energy was excellent inside. We sat at the bar and ordered from the happy hour menu. The Steak fries with a Double Burger, and Blackened Fish Tacos all hit the spot. I will say the Double Burger was my favorite. It was literally so big and juicy I felt self conscious eating it in front of my friend, lol. The Steak fries were a little too chunky for my taste but flavored well. The Blackened Fish Tacos had a nice kick and the slices of pineapple were a treat. Next time I will enjoy the regular menu but for now the happy hour menu was a nice introduction. read more
Yummy mid-day lunch! We was seated and quickly greeted by our server. He was well-versed with the wine selection, and made a good suggestion with which I was happy. He checked back several times until we were ready to order. Salt bread started the meal, and it was delicious! Should you visit, plan to save room for a bite of this! My friend got a seafood dish and said it was delicious. I got French onion soup which had a rich, beefy onion flavor. The portion size was a bit small for the price, so value was less than ideal, but the flavor was great. Ambiance was Edina-average. Nothing overly impressive, and to be fair, the restaurant was slow at the time. We were seated in a booth out of the way, so there wasn't much of a view of anything except a 12-year-old's birthday party. Evening time and happy hour likely bring in a more lively crowd. Overall, I'll definitely return. Steak is next! Can't wait. read more
Business travelers and work group type of a place. Super pricey but good high quality stuff. Good service and generally speaking a lot of what you're paying is for the unnecessary stuff. Like the decor and many workers, etc. i was very happy with my simple and on the healthy side seared sea bass dish. Also it was good to taste uniquely baked larger than you ever seen hash brown. The cocktails were good. My old fashioned was specifically strong and served its purpose well. read more

We organized a client dinner here after a day of meetings and it was a great experience! We appreciated that there wasn't a table minimum or additional charges for our large party and the food was highly recommended which made this choice easy! We started with drinks at the bar which went seamlessly. Once more people from our party arrived, we made our way to our table. It seems like they had another couple events going on, we saw a private room that was rented and the table next to us was also a large party. It was busy! Our waiter was such a pleasure. He was very lively and had great recommendations for the table. We gave him free range with the appetizers and he did great, didn't bring out too little or too many and a great variety that everyone enjoyed! We ordered our entrees and everything came out as expected! I ordered the Pittsburg Blue which was delicious! We again have our waiter free range on sides and he did not disappoint! We also ordered a few bottles of wine, he kept making sure we were happy and had our glasses full. This is a great place if you enjoy steak! Also, if you enjoy your steak rare, don't be scared to order the Pittsburg Blue. The meat quality is very high and you can really enjoy the flavor of the steak! I ordered the blue cheese crusted steak and it was heavenly! Make sure to come on an empty stomach! read more

Food had NO flavor. Beautiful presentation but tasteless. The salmon dry and no flavor also Brussels sprouts tasteless even the loaded mashed potatoes no taste the only thing that was very good were the lamb chops. The drinks were ok. Not bad but it's not the exquisite dining experience I typically expect for the price. Cobb salad was fine but nothing special. Shrimp cocktail was good, but it's hard to mess that up if you buy good shrimp. Hash browns good - serving is Massive. I had the mushroom ravioli. Didn't pack much punch - kinda bland. The red peppers did nothing for me. Cream sauce would be good on that. Spinach was uninspiring. Waitress wasn't bad but added nothing to the experience. She was young and clearly just working - not a "pro" waitress. Lots of TV's so multiple sports we're playing. The wine they seemed to be pushing (Alexander Valley) is fine, I drink it at home often. Nothing special but they clearly have many other options. read more
The first thing I would recommend with Pittsburgh Blue is to make reservations. It gets hectic if you'd like to dine there on weekends. Being our second time here, expectations were relatively high. My party of three all had steak, and it did not disappoint. I enjoyed a bite of my husband's blue cheese-crusted fillet. I am not a big fan of steak, so I had the Pistachio-Crusted Walleye with a delicious lemon-dill sauce. Br aware that portions are quite generous. We had their delicious mashed potatoes to share around the table. The dessert menu was impressive. I had their beautifully caramelized crème brûlée. Service was impeccable. I recommend Pittsburgh Blue Steakhouse for its authentic menu, ambiance, and excellent service. read more

We ordered a salad, oysters, crab cake and two different steaks. *born in ny strips and filet mignon Oyster was good, crab cake was alright but the sauce was too salty. Filet mignon was okay. I got mine as rare plus, temperature was perfect but way too salty. Born in ny strip was horrible. Ordered as medium rare but received as RARE. Waited our waiter forever and he NAVER showed up. So I had to talk to random server that was near by and he took our steak back to kitchen for heat up and brought back burned steak. We ended up the get a new steak but both of our steaks were way too salty. It tasted like they put the whole steak meats into salt water for a month then cooked. We both ended up leaving more than half of the steaks on the plates and left. Only good foods from this place was just oyster. read more
