    Tacos de Carne with beef
    Jenny G.

Wonderful local and family owned restaurant that offers a Latin-inspired menu serving for weekend brunch, lunch, and dinner. You can tell that the owners truly care about Cahill Bistro with fresh flowers at each table, truly homemade food and wholesome ingredients, and super friendly service. I got the Chips and Guacamole as an appetizer and it was super yummy and the guacamole was very fresh, which I loved. For my main I got the Tacos de Carne with beef, which featured steak with red onion, cilantro, jalapeño, and homemade avocado tomatillo salsa. These tacos are phenomenal and I would return and order exactly the same thing. I highly recommend a visit to Cahill Bistro and I absolutely will be returning again and again!

We went for lunch, and I got the walleye (5/5), which was great! It had a nice, crunchy crust and wonderful flavor. The mashed potatoes and asparagus were also excellent! For only $15, it was an incredible value! We also got the salmon tacos, and they were also fantastic (5/5)! The service was also amazing (5/5)! The staff were very friendly, and we got the food and check all quickly! The interior of the restaurant is very well decorated too (5/5)! Overall, I am excited to come back!

Great again. Once again we brought another couple to join us for dinner at our favorite neighborhood spot that we are so proud of ... Service and food was amazing as usual and we brought the desert home to enjoy while playing cards.

The food that was carefully and lovingly prepared at this restaurant tastes like an ancestral dish made by caring hands and seasoned to perfection. The service was attentive and helpful. We had three courses and all three blew us away with deliciousness. The decor is simple, clean and comfortable. I don't live in the area, but if I did, I would visit this lovely restaurant often. Highly recommended.

I am lucky. I've spent a week (7 nights in the hospital) at Mayo and surgeons removed many NET tumors. 2 nights ago I arrived home having not eaten nor even much hydration. Tonight I put on some loose pants, loose shirt, slippers and made my way to an amazing local bistro - Our Cahill Bistro. While some may poo-poo the ambiance, it's in an older strip mall...the proveyors are brothers, and it's a family affair. My wife and I were able to briefly celebrate 36 years of marriage, and never had to worry about the food. It is amazing. From the salad that we shared, to my walleye and my wife's scallops - every bite was divine. My stomach isn't prefect yet - so my diet is fairly limited. And appetite not quite 100%. But the food (taste, preparation, portions, temperature, etc.) is beautiful. Thanks to my neighborhood bistro. Thanks Cahill Bistro! I am lucky.

This place is the BEST! Gracious and amazing service. Tons of variety and delicious food. My son said it is his new favorite restaurant of all time! Ambiance is cozy. Located in a tiny strip mall, this hidden gem should not be missed! Highly recommend!

In the Cahill area strip mall, a hidden gem. I've been there a few times and love their food! If busy, be patient. It's worth the wait.

The staff was SO friendly. Happy hour has good prices and the food on the happy hour is delicious for a good price. Feels a little bit like a "hole in the wall" establishment. But in the best way! Met friends there and there's plenty of room for parking. We all split many of the apps on happy hour menu and it was plenty of food. Also got the empanadas and would recommend those over all the other items because they're so good!

We stopped in Saturday afternoon, we got seated right away and given time to look over the menu. Christian was a great server, consistently checking in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. I really liked the scallops and the guacamole! There is a spacious free parking lot right in front of the restaurant!

The menu was a little bit confusing because I wasn't sure if this was an Italian restaurant or a Mexican restaurant since both cuisines were represented on the menu. Either way, the food (the chips and guac, the empanadas, and the lobster pasta) were fantastic. My favorite item was the chips and guacamole...wow it was delicious. The chips were warm and fresh and the guacamole was so flavorful and seasoned well. The lobster pasta was delicious too. There was a decent amount of lobster for the dish. I wish there was some sort of bread to help sop up the delicious sauce which would have made this a perfect meal. It's a pretty casual ambience, but it has an upscale menu. The service was also really good.

I don't even know where to begin--let's just start with this: absolutely fantastic! Don't hesitate to dine at this wonderful restaurant. From the moment my wife and I walked in, we were greeted warmly and seated promptly in the middle of the bustling dining room. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, filled with families enjoying themselves while the attentive staff moved quickly between tables. Despite the crowd, service was impressively smooth. We began with a glass of Pinot Noir (California) and a Delas wine (Italian), along with an order of Empanadas De Carne. The wine arrived within minutes, followed shortly by the appetizer--and wow, the empanadas were mouthwatering! The crispy shell, the perfectly seasoned meat and vegetables--it was a flavor explosion. I instantly wished we had ordered eight more, and honestly, I was tempted to get some to-go. For our main courses, we chose the Filete De Lomo and the Achiote Chicken. The descriptions sounded promising, and the dishes more than delivered. As we sipped our wine and tried to ignore our kids' nonstop texts (any other parents relate?), our meals arrived--and the presentation was stunning. My Filete was perfection. The sauce paired with the tender steak so beautifully that each bite felt like a masterpiece. I didn't want it to end! I restrained myself from licking the plate... barely. My wife's Achiote Chicken was just as impressive--rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. No wonder she wouldn't share more than one bite! Of course, we had to end the night with dessert. We ordered the Tres Leches and the Flan--because diets can wait. The short wait was worth every second. The Tres Leches was moist, layered, and absolutely divine, while the Flan was so creamy and delicious that I joked about wanting to take a bath in it. Yes, it was that good. I couldn't resist licking the plate clean. Congratulations, Cahill Bistro! You've earned a spot on my best restaurants list. You completely won us over, and we'll definitely be back for more!

I'm fancy, so I wanted something a bit more upscale. I did a little bit of research and wouldn't you know it... Colita came up. So here's how it went! Atmosphere/Appearance: Set south of downtown and a bit west of The Mall of America on Penn Avenue is this gem. There is no private parking lot, but plenty of street parking to leave your fly ride. But once you walk up to the restaurant you can immediately understand the message they're trying to send. Everything looks so modern, straightforward with straight lines, grey colors and light woods. There is a small outdoor section where you can dine if you get lucky enough to land a spot there. Inside carries a very similar style with a little nod to the pueblos and architecture of the southwest. The decor is minimalistic and the "loudest" thing in the room is the live plant wall seated directly behind the bar, which was super cool. Service: I can't remember who took care of us, but we had no issues whatsoever. Food/Drink: I was able to try so many different dishes and drinks here and the list is below... : Xochitl In Love : La Clandestina : Tuna Tostada : Chicken Tinga Tostada : Seared Scallops : Tlayuda : Colita Old Fashioned : Lamb Barbacoa Tacos : Duck Tamal However, my favorite things were the Lamb Barbacoa Tacos, Duck Tamal and Seared Scallops, in that order. The food here is phenomenal, the drinks are excellently crafted and things are served tapas style so you don't get too full off of just one thing! Order a whole bunch of stuff and share with the table! Value: As I mentioned earlier, I wanted upscale and the priced dddooo reflect that. Lol. This is a nice place so be prepared to spend... Like you're downtown somewhere. In conclusion, I loved this place and I will come back over and over. Check this place out the next time you're in the area!

We especially enjoyed how conversation-friendly it was here. If you're looking to catch up with a friend, this is a great option! As for the menu, you'll find both Mexican and Ecuadorian options. Starting with the beverage offerings, you'll see many flavors of Jarritos, agua frescoes, and some Ecuadorian sodas. I tried the Tropical, which was delicious. Pink and fruity, it was not too sweet and had a little dose of je ne sais quoi. I really liked it! I saw empanadas on the menu, and while I have had them before, never have I ever seen them served with sugar. Of course we ordered them. They were awesome. Exactly the right balance of crisp and tender, the pastry was a delight. (Definitely sprinkle a little sugar on it.) The salty cheese provided a satisfying little cheese pull and went beautifully with the sugar, too. They also go great with the hot sauce, which is a must-have. It's acidic and bright from the vinegar and has a satisfying heat that tickles the tongue and goes great on everything. The plato vegetariano was the epitome of simple and satisfying: potatoes in a delicious and herby sauce; a fresh salad of lettuce, onion, and tomato; a fried slice of plantain; a mound of perfectly-cooked rice; and a cup of beans. It was comforting without being heavy. The dessert menu featured familiar favorites and one that was completely new to me: higos con queso. While I went with the flan, I did get to sneak a bite of this unusual and intriguing dessert: the figs are poached but retain their firmness and are served with a firm and salty cheese. The figs and cheese come with the poaching liquid, which is not sweet but also not quite savory--it's got quite a depth of flavor and makes for a truly unique dish. I recommend it if you prefer to end your meal with something that isn't super sweet. (If, on the other hand, you prefer a more traditional dessert, the flan here is lovely: a bit sturdier than some you may have had, it's got the right blend of sweet and caramelized--it was just right!) Street parking is available nearby, but if you come later in the evening, it will probably park up. This is a great choice for families and friends!

Inside there is a small bar, and 2 TVs that had soccer on with the sound turned off. There was some music playing but it was not too loud, very easy to hear conversation. The restaurant is very clean and family owned. Our server was very friendly, as was every other employee. We ordered Empanadas De Carne for an appetizer. They came out quickly, as did the rest of our food. They were good and came with a habanero sauce which was delicious. I am a wimp when it comes to spice, but I kept putting little dabs of it on my food because it tasted so good. My partner used it on everything and even scraped the bowl out with his chips. My partner ordered a Burrito with roast pork. When it came it was very big, plenty of value for the money, and the flavor was AMAZING. The pork was juicy and so very flavourful. It was delicious. He also ordered a horchata. I am not usually a fan of horchata, but he is. I tasted the horchata and I loved it. It was very creamy and had plenty of cinnamon. I ordered the sopes barbacoa. Again, lots of food for the money. I have never had sopes before, but they were so good. The barbacoa was juicy and again, so very flavourful. We will definitely be back, many times I am sure.

Named for perseverance and determination, Ena is a Latin fusion restaurant harmonizing flavors from Central and South America through a French technical lens, with an emphasis on locally sourced ingredients. Chef-Owner Hector Ruiz's cooking reflects both formal culinary training and a clear respect for heritage, with sustainability woven into the way ingredients are chosen and treated. Seafood plays a leading role on the menu, handled with clear confidence throughout. The result feels thoughtful rather than showy, with hospitality that mirrors that same care. - Ceviche: A confident blend of Mexican and Peruvian influence. Chiles and ají amarillo set the tone, sharpened by pickled onion and lime. Balanced heat, clean acidity, and texture that stays true to form. Everything a ceviche should deliver. - Pasta de Langosta: Pappardelle with shrimp and lobster, well executed. Comforting without feeling heavy, this dish pulls together technique and flavor in a way that feels purposeful rather than indulgent. - Pescado: Blue and yellow corn-crusted red snapper paired with mole poblano and roasted tomatillo-guajillo salsa. The interplay of acidity, warmth, and depth complements the fish without overpowering it. Served over a crisp polenta cake with caramelized mushrooms, it's a smartly layered dish that stays focused. - Spanish Flan: a creamy vanilla custard with glossy caramel, accented by lemon-infused whipped cream and strawberry sauce, closed this meal on a high note. The cocktails strike a solid balance--spirited, and playful. The beverage list spans wine, cocktails, mocktails, beer, and seasonal offerings.
