This place is a true gem, on the smaller side but quaint! It feels like going to a friend's house because everyone is so friendly, yet unobtrusive. The food was fantastic. My husband had missed lunch so we tried a few tapas and dessert :). The wine selection is solid and I loved what our waiter recommended. Easy place to go back again and again to try all the things!

The food and service are great. I look forward to returning. The ambiance is very cool. Nice quiet, comfortable spot. We just had small plates that we shared. Everything was delicious, just a little expensive for me

Always an amazing meal - the flavors, the variety of tapas, the service, the ambiance. Always top notch.

Second time dining at Rincon 38 for New Years Eve. Had reservation, as small intimate venue. Service by Fernando was impeccable, timed/spaced tapas perfective, attentive without being disruptive. Provided helpful wine recommendation. Had 6 tapas & 2 desserts. My favorite, Piquillos. The scallops, Vieras, were flavorful & very tender. Experience was amazing.

I went here with my wife for our anniversary. We were married in Spain so we were hoping to re-live the memory through taste. We ordered the Calamares, Paella Sevillana, Albondigas, Patatas Bravas, and Pasta Negra, along with a bottle of wine. Rinćon 38 did not disappoint! The food was great. Service was excellent, and we loved the overall look and feel of the restaurant. It was definitely the closest we've felt to Spain in Minnesota. It was a little pricey, but definitely worth it for a special occasion or if you're really craving authentic tapas. We'll definitely be making this our go-to for future anniversary dinners!

Love this neighborhood gem in South Minneapolis Recently stopped by when in the area for happy hour and it is so nice to see that some things and faces never change! Ordered a few tapas favorites such as the stuffed Piquillo peppers and the Albondigas (meatballs in a saffron tomato broth) and the Plato Iberico - the Spanish charcuterie plate 2 glasses of their house Chardonnay for $12 is a steal these days! Service is fast efficient and friendly familiar faces! Ambiance is as close to being back on vacation in Spain, cute, quaint and Spanish guitar music transports me back to Seville Free parking on the street Check this place out! Wish I lived closer I would prob stop by once a week!!

Incredible food, attentive staff, and cozy atmosphere. A perfect place for a date or to celebrate a special occasion. Every dish was flavorful and filling, we had a group of 7 people and we each ordered two plates and felt full at the end of the meal! My favorites were the meatballs and the beet salad. Will definitely be back again to try more! There is street parking and the inside is not too large so make sure to get a reservation if you're going with a group!

If this is your first time trying tapas... just remember you don't need to order all your tapas at once. Savoring your tapas is all part of the quintessential dining experience. The food is absolutely amazing - everything we tasted melted in other mouths. We highly recommend the Malaga, Pasta Negro, and Toledo. Definitely a go-to place for date night or with a small group. Waiters are very attentive, and super nice atmosphere.

If you love tapas and live in Minneapolis, Rincón 38 is definitely worth trying. Food are exceptionally delicious. The Toledo, vieras, pasta negra and the Carne brava we randomly picked have satisfied both our eyes and mouth. Anything we saw on the tables next to us are different and awesome. The house sangria isn't too sweet, which is great, and highly recommended. Services and ambiance are on par with the food. It might not be best fit for large group dinner, but definitely a place I would save for the near and dear.

    - The space is cute, casual, and quaint. - There is free street parking available in the area. -The service was friendly and fast. - I like that instead of getting a full glass of wine, you can order a tasting (for $5.50). Great for those who don't want to drink much or sample several varieties. - Potato and Chorizo Empanadas were delicious. Light on the meat, but full of flavor. - Texture of the calamari seemed different. Like it was too tender... or perhaps I'm just used to the rings (which their's is not). Overall lovely experience. My one "wish" would be if they could add purse hooks under the bar for the convenience of those seated there.

Hey Travoodies Hey! Business meetings are always better when there is food involved. I was invited to discuss some exciting matter over amazing Spanish food. About the place! Rincon 38 located in a cute neighborhood offering a amazing spanish experience. This tapas bar made me feel sas though I was transported into Spain with its vibes. What kind of food is tapas? Traditionally they are small savoury dishes, snacks or appetisers of Spanish cuisine. I started off with a glass of wine that was so refreshing. Its on their summer selection and of course I forgot the name. For my savory options, here is what I chose: Albondigas - spanish style meatballs served in a saffron - tomato broth and grilled bread. Pefectly seasonedwith the right amount of spce. Make sure to ask for ectra garlic because the broth is great. Patatas Bravas - baby potatoes, cinfit asparagus, spanish chorizo, roasted atichokes, pimento, sherry wine drizzled with saffron aioli. I could not put my far down when eating this dish. The sherry wine drizzle with saffron aioli explodes in your mouth after each bite. Leaving the veggies and chorizo sauced with deliciousness. Coliflor - cripsy fried saffron poached cauliflower tossed with citron pepper, parsley oil and aioli. One who is not a huge fan of cauliflower, each floret melted in your mouth like butter. Seasoned with the right about spice with crunchy exterior it was definitely a hit with me & Empanads... What else can I say other than m m m good. Everything was so delicious and the service was on point. If you are in the area please stop by and enjoy.

I've absolutely been sleeping on this restaurant. Amazing neighborhood place in south Minneapolis with the best Spanish food. It's tapas style eating so small plates to share and man I was blown away. Hot tip - it's a super small space so try to get a reservation if you can! My boyfriend and I ordered the chorizo and potato empanadas, the stuffed peppers, the scallops, the rack of lamb, and the braised octopus. The tempranillo red wine was of course amazing and they had a really nice selection of all Spanish wines. Favorite dishes were the stuffed peppers, scallops, and rack of lamb!! Go here asap! Support local!

Today, we visited Ricon 38 (authentic Spanish food) in South Minneapolis. The three of us shared Coliflor (crispy cauliflower), Jaiba (crab cakes), and Toledo (mixture of Brussel sprouts and mushrooms). They were all phenomenal! I wanted more!! For our meals, I had the Pollo (never had better tasting chix). My hubby had Paella Sevillana (rice, beef, chix, pork and sausage with peppers). He enjoyed his meal. But, he wasn't crazy about the rice! I loved the rice! My son had Carne Brava (tenderloin, mushrooms etc). I recommend this restaurant for a special occasion or just a nice meal. The service was excellent! On street parking. The meal was more expensive than what we usually pay. But, to me, it was worth it. No leftovers for tomorrow!

I came here a few days ago during their "crabby hour" from 8-10 pm and we all each ordered our set of a truffle fries, a Granada slider, and a mahi mahi taco. The fries were incredible. They were super crispy, cooked perfectly and I love truffle with fries. The best part however was the aioli that came paired with it. It had a citrusy, umami flavor that was just so incredible I would have taken a whole jar home if I was able to. Absolutely perfect and can make any dish. The Granada slider was also awesome. It was bigger than I expected and included that wonderful aioli again, along with some greens, the patty, manchego cheese, and bacon. It was delicious and once again that aioli is just perfect and it was a much larger amount of food than I was expecting. I also had the mahi mahi taco as well which was good, but not my favorite. I'd probably try something instead of this again next time. Also, the staff is super funny and really awesome. We had Cassie (sorry if I got this wrong) and she was super kind, made a lot of jokes, and even gave us a tour of the theatre when we asked if we could take a peak to see what it looks like. Incredible service, we had a really great time with her. We all are definitely going to come back soon, and maybe even come for a show! But the food alone is worth a visit for sure in my opinion. I strongly recommend the Granada Slider and you have to get the truffle fries with the aioli. A side note the menu is a little confusing as they are transitioning menus so be patient as the staff have no control and the food is worth the confusion.

It had a 1920's art deco vibe which I love. We had a reservation but the host seemed to struggle to find it, almost even questioning the validity of it even though I showed her proof they texted confirmation. Thankfully they gave us a table right away anyways. The restaurant is attached to a theatre so it gets really busy prior to showtimes and the service becomes slow or non existent. At one point it even seemed that they forgot about us and the manger noticed so she made sure to get our food to us. The server later apologized and was very kind but I couldn't help but notice she took the time to chit chat with coworkers while we waited. When the theatre performance started it loudly traveled into the restaraunt through the walls. While it didn't bother me I can see how this may bother others. I'm actually glad we went because we learned about the theatre and would like to attend a show sometime. I just wouldn't recommend going to the restaraunt unless you are seeing a show there.

Named for perseverance and determination, Ena is a Latin fusion restaurant harmonizing flavors from Central and South America through a French technical lens, with an emphasis on locally sourced ingredients. Chef-Owner Hector Ruiz's cooking reflects both formal culinary training and a clear respect for heritage, with sustainability woven into the way ingredients are chosen and treated. Seafood plays a leading role on the menu, handled with clear confidence throughout. The result feels thoughtful rather than showy, with hospitality that mirrors that same care. - Ceviche: A confident blend of Mexican and Peruvian influence. Chiles and ají amarillo set the tone, sharpened by pickled onion and lime. Balanced heat, clean acidity, and texture that stays true to form. Everything a ceviche should deliver. - Pasta de Langosta: Pappardelle with shrimp and lobster, well executed. Comforting without feeling heavy, this dish pulls together technique and flavor in a way that feels purposeful rather than indulgent. - Pescado: Blue and yellow corn-crusted red snapper paired with mole poblano and roasted tomatillo-guajillo salsa. The interplay of acidity, warmth, and depth complements the fish without overpowering it. Served over a crisp polenta cake with caramelized mushrooms, it's a smartly layered dish that stays focused. - Spanish Flan: a creamy vanilla custard with glossy caramel, accented by lemon-infused whipped cream and strawberry sauce, closed this meal on a high note. The cocktails strike a solid balance--spirited, and playful. The beverage list spans wine, cocktails, mocktails, beer, and seasonal offerings. A meal that stayed with me and IMO, worth adding to your next dinner rotation.

My wife had the Scallops and Risotto, which she loved. I had the Paella de Mariscos, one of two versions they offer. The amount of seafood was incredible. The rice didn't have the typical bottom side crunch, but the dish was still very good overall. There were many dishes on the menu that sounded really good, so we'll definitely go again.

We especially enjoyed how conversation-friendly it was here. If you're looking to catch up with a friend, this is a great option! As for the menu, you'll find both Mexican and Ecuadorian options. Starting with the beverage offerings, you'll see many flavors of Jarritos, agua frescoes, and some Ecuadorian sodas. I tried the Tropical, which was delicious. Pink and fruity, it was not too sweet and had a little dose of je ne sais quoi. I really liked it! I saw empanadas on the menu, and while I have had them before, never have I ever seen them served with sugar. Of course we ordered them. They were awesome. Exactly the right balance of crisp and tender, the pastry was a delight. (Definitely sprinkle a little sugar on it.) The salty cheese provided a satisfying little cheese pull and went beautifully with the sugar, too. They also go great with the hot sauce, which is a must-have. It's acidic and bright from the vinegar and has a satisfying heat that tickles the tongue and goes great on everything. The plato vegetariano was the epitome of simple and satisfying: potatoes in a delicious and herby sauce; a fresh salad of lettuce, onion, and tomato; a fried slice of plantain; a mound of perfectly-cooked rice; and a cup of beans. It was comforting without being heavy. The dessert menu featured familiar favorites and one that was completely new to me: higos con queso. While I went with the flan, I did get to sneak a bite of this unusual and intriguing dessert: the figs are poached but retain their firmness and are served with a firm and salty cheese. The figs and cheese come with the poaching liquid, which is not sweet but also not quite savory--it's got quite a depth of flavor and makes for a truly unique dish. I recommend it if you prefer to end your meal with something that isn't super sweet. (If, on the other hand, you prefer a more traditional dessert, the flan here is lovely: a bit sturdier than some you may have had, it's got the right blend of sweet and caramelized--it was just right!) Street parking is available nearby, but if you come later in the evening, it will probably park up. This is a great choice for families and friends!

They came out quickly, as did the rest of our food. They were good and came with a habanero sauce which was delicious. I am a wimp when it comes to spice, but I kept putting little dabs of it on my food because it tasted so good. My partner used it on everything and even scraped the bowl out with his chips. My partner ordered a Burrito with roast pork. When it came it was very big, plenty of value for the money, and the flavor was AMAZING. The pork was juicy and so very flavourful. It was delicious. He also ordered a horchata. I am not usually a fan of horchata, but he is. I tasted the horchata and I loved it. It was very creamy and had plenty of cinnamon. I ordered the sopes barbacoa. Again, lots of food for the money. I have never had sopes before, but they were so good. The barbacoa was juicy and again, so very flavourful. We will definitely be back, many times I am sure.
