Uptown Lobby is a hidden gem. On nights where they have shows or events, this place is packed. However, on other nights I see this place empty often which is a shame because it's so good! I came here a few days ago during their "crabby hour" from 8-10 pm and we all each ordered our set of a truffle fries, a Granada slider, and a mahi mahi taco. The fries were incredible. They were super crispy, cooked perfectly and I love truffle with fries. The best part however was the aioli that came paired with it. It had a citrusy, umami flavor that was just so incredible I would have taken a whole jar home if I was able to. Absolutely perfect and can make any dish. The Granada slider was also awesome. It was bigger than I expected and included that wonderful aioli again, along with some greens, the patty, manchego cheese, and bacon. It was delicious and once again that aioli is just perfect and it was a much larger amount of food than I was expecting. I also had the mahi mahi taco as well which was good, but not my favorite. I'd probably try something instead of this again next time. Also, the staff is super funny and really awesome. We had Cassie (sorry if I got this wrong) and she was super kind, made a lot of jokes, and even gave us a tour of the theatre when we asked if we could take a peak to see what it looks like. Incredible service, we had a really great time with her. We all are definitely going to come back soon, and maybe even come for a show! But the food alone is worth a visit for sure in my opinion. I strongly recommend the Granada Slider and you have to get the truffle fries with the aioli. A side note the menu is a little confusing as they are transitioning menus so be patient as the staff have no control and the food is worth the confusion.

Upon recommendation from our friend, my boyfriend and I decided to pick Uptown Lobby as our Saturday date. The food was absolutely phenomenal. I will certainly be back for the Scotch Eggs, the aroma of chorizo, the texture of the yolk and the overall presentation left a lasting impression. My boyfriend got the 12 ounce garlic seared beef sirloin and was so kind to let me try it. Also presented pleasingly, and with one bite I could taste the herbs and bone marrow. It was incredible! I had the Bikini Sandwich. The crisp bread with the delicious ham and of course my favorite part, the manchego cheese all over the sandwich was exquisite. Lastly the chef was so kind to give us their Carmel Apple Empanadas. Delicious! Cannot wait to go back and try more!

Went for their happy hour (which they call "crabby hour") and it was well priced for outstanding food. All three items (burger, tacos, fries) were incredible and well crafted. The best item was probably the fries: perfectly salted and crunchy while still being warm and slightly soft at the center. We'll definitely be back!

SUCH A COOL PLACE!!! SUCH A VIBE!! My best friend and I made reservations before the Women of Pop show -- the whole experience was out of this world. I got the paella (which I've never had before) and I didn't know what to expect but it was good. She got the bikini sandwich and finished the whole thing, so I'm assuming that was good too. We shared the truffle fries and those were really where it was at -- really, really yummy. We got a couple different drinks and none of them seemed consistent color or taste wise but they were good, so it's fine. OHHHH and before I forget, the service was FANTASTIC! Awesome, friendly people!! I'll definitely be back!

OK. Uptown Lobby was accommodating because we were running late. Our service was friendly but they didn't know what was going on with their menu. My husband ordered a drink. No, they're out of it. No big deal. He got something else. We tried to order a few appetizers... they don't have them as well. What? So we settled on the Albóndigas (meatballs). The one thing they pretty much had available. Look at my attached picture. Bland and dry. The sauce must've been sitting out because the oil had settled on the top. I had entrées that I wanted to order but nope. Not available. So I ordered a shrimp salad. When it was brought out, I could already smell it... under cooked. The only thing that was enjoyable was the burger and fries. Oh, I also wanted to order dessert from the menu but they only had brownies and cookies.

Let me preface this by saying that I am ranking this as 5 stars solely based off of what I had: Wings. I ordered amidst the pandemic via GrubHub. I had asked for them if they could make the wings spicy, and they came with a hot sauce that won't kill you, but was certainly packing flavor. Even more impressive was the fact that the meat literally fell off the bone. If you're looking for some crazy crispy deep fried wings, these aren't for you. However, if you're looking for incredibly tender, high quality meat, this is your spot. Ambiance looked awesome and staff was definitely incredibly safe in terms of COVID protocols. I very much look forward to dining in at the renovated Granada Theatre.

Salty, savory, sweet, and piquant meet tender, creamy, and crispy. It is truly always a delight for all the senses. My birthday treat was the créma catalana, the Catalan answer to crème brûlée: sweet custard sits under a crunchy sugar crust and is topped with a lovely cinnamon-flavored apple concoction. We also tried a relatively new addition to the dessert menu--the Spanish coffee flan. With just the right amount of sweetness, this flan was sturdy and melts in your mouth. The coffee balanced the sweetness and creaminess--imagine the best coffee dessert you have had, and you're getting close.

While Ena doesn't have a scene or even a bar, the food at this family-owned establishment is fantastic, and I have eaten a lot of Latin American cuisine. Originating from Mexico, the French-trained owner/chef prepares Latin fusion dishes with flavors that burst alive. With a delicate yet crisp crust, the Birria Empanadas are amazingly flavorful, and the meat's juices have a wonderfully piquant taste. They're the best empanadas I've ever tasted. The Bife de Chorizo was gigantic, but even better, the flavors tickled our fancy, the Chimichurri sauce providing the ideal punch. My Anticuchos were good, but as always, my wife ordered better, because the Bife de Chorizo was the star of the night. Named for perseverance and determination, Ena is a Latin fusion restaurant harmonizing flavors from Central and South America through a French technical lens, with an emphasis on locally sourced ingredients. Chef-Owner Hector Ruiz's cooking reflects both formal culinary training and a clear respect for heritage, with sustainability woven into the way ingredients are chosen and treated. Seafood plays a leading role on the menu, handled with clear confidence throughout. The result feels thoughtful rather than showy, with hospitality that mirrors that same care. - Ceviche: A confident blend of Mexican and Peruvian influence. Chiles and ají amarillo set the tone, sharpened by pickled onion and lime. Balanced heat, clean acidity, and texture that stays true to form. Everything a ceviche should deliver. - Pasta de Langosta: Pappardelle with shrimp and lobster, well executed. Comforting without feeling heavy, this dish pulls together technique and flavor in a way that feels purposeful rather than indulgent. - Pescado: Blue and yellow corn-crusted red snapper paired with mole poblano and roasted tomatillo-guajillo salsa. The interplay of acidity, warmth, and depth complements the fish without overpowering it. Served over a crisp polenta cake with caramelized mushrooms, it's a smartly layered dish that stays focused. - Spanish Flan: a creamy vanilla custard with glossy caramel, accented by lemon-infused whipped cream and strawberry sauce, closed this meal on a high note. The cocktails strike a solid balance--spirited, and playful. The beverage list spans wine, cocktails, mocktails, beer, and seasonal offerings. A meal that stayed with me and IMO, worth adding to your next dinner rotation.

The rating seemed low, so I had to try it for myself. My wife and I went to the original location in the Kingfield neighborhood of Minneapolis. We got 3 empanadas, a pizza, flan, and churro donuts. The menu features 7 empanadas. Of those, we tried the carne, jamón y queso, and the Messi. The carne was my favorite, but all 3 were worth getting. So much so, I'd come here for the empanadas alone. As for the pizza, we kept it simple and got the pepperoni. Boludo's pizza is like none other I've ever seen before. It's somewhat oval shaped, but with 4 corners, and has cheese heavily sprinkled over the crust. Aside from being a bit greasy, the pizza was solid, and better than the 7.8 Dave Portnoy gave it. Similar to the pizza, the flan had a unique presentation, as well. Rather than a slice or its typical round appearance, Boludo's flan is served in a jar and topped with candied pecans. It was rich, but that didn't stop me from gobbling it all down. Lastly, we had the churro donuts. These were reminiscent of cider mill donuts, but better. The donuts didn't need a dip, but the dulce de leche it came with was enjoyable. Boludo didn't miss on any of the items we ordered. Not only did I find the overall experience to be unique, I was genuinely impressed, as well. As strange as it sounds, make sure to check out the bathroom if/when you visit!

We especially enjoyed how conversation-friendly it was here. If you're looking to catch up with a friend, this is a great option! As for the menu, you'll find both Mexican and Ecuadorian options. Starting with the beverage offerings, you'll see many flavors of Jarritos, agua frescoes, and some Ecuadorian sodas. I tried the Tropical, which was delicious. Pink and fruity, it was not too sweet and had a little dose of je ne sais quoi. I really liked it! I saw empanadas on the menu, and while I have had them before, never have I ever seen them served with sugar. Of course we ordered them. They were awesome. Exactly the right balance of crisp and tender, the pastry was a delight. (Definitely sprinkle a little sugar on it.) The salty cheese provided a satisfying little cheese pull and went beautifully with the sugar, too. They also go great with the hot sauce, which is a must-have. It's acidic and bright from the vinegar and has a satisfying heat that tickles the tongue and goes great on everything. The plato vegetariano was the epitome of simple and satisfying: potatoes in a delicious and herby sauce; a fresh salad of lettuce, onion, and tomato; a fried slice of plantain; a mound of perfectly-cooked rice; and a cup of beans. It was comforting without being heavy. The dessert menu featured familiar favorites and one that was completely new to me: higos con queso. While I went with the flan, I did get to sneak a bite of this unusual and intriguing dessert: the figs are poached but retain their firmness and are served with a firm and salty cheese. The figs and cheese come with the poaching liquid, which is not sweet but also not quite savory--it's got quite a depth of flavor and makes for a truly unique dish. I recommend it if you prefer to end your meal with something that isn't super sweet. (If, on the other hand, you prefer a more traditional dessert, the flan here is lovely: a bit sturdier than some you may have had, it's got the right blend of sweet and caramelized--it was just right!) Street parking is available nearby, but if you come later in the evening, it will probably park up. This is a great choice for families and friends!
