    A pleasant room.

We returned to Martina after a long absence. There was no logical reason for our absence. Maybe parking fears or an aversion to the Linden Hills Waspy and Patrician demographic caused us to hesitate. At 5:30 on a Thursday, the lovely bar was almost empty, and we grabbed two of the uncomfortable stools. It's hard to find fault with any of the Del Prado establishments. Martina might have been his first, and it's aging gracefully. Bex was our server, and he was friendly, conversing with us readily. You don't always experience that in Minneapolis. After relaxing with a cocktail and glass of wine, we ordered the empanadas, the Cacio e Pepe ravioli, and the Wagyu Zabuton. Zabuton sounds like a medical device, but it's a chuck steak that is very tender. Everything tasted fantastic, with the Cacio e Pepe a member of the Hall of Fame. Martina is a great restaurant, and I will return

I enjoyed my experience here yesterday with a couple friends. We had a reservation outside which was lovely. We ended up sharing the Brussels sprout salad and hamachi crudo as appetizers and for the entree I had the mushroom rigatoni which was very rich and creamy. Definitely on the pricier side but the food was very good. Peter was our server and he did a great job giving recommendations!

Still my number one place! Normally, I suggest this place to friends and family. Their service and food is top notch! Here are my favs: oysters churros pasta (lobster pasta) steak all their cocktails

Went for a birthday dinner on 5/1. We had reservations for 745pm. We were sat immediately. The atmosphere was great. My fiance and I had 2 different cocktails each, they were really different and good. The potato churros were awesome. I was curious about the cinnamon calamari. It was surprisingly good, the cinnamon was very faint. The oysters were very fresh. My entree was the barramundi, so good. My fiance loved her mushroom rigatoni. The dessert was a crepe type thing, it was ok. Overall, I loved the place

Came back for brunch because I heard all about the potato churros! We sat right by the kitchen so we saw all the food coming out which was good and bad for decision making. Every time something different came out, that is what we wanted. We got the Smoke Salmon and Burrata, Crab Benedict, Almond Flour Pancakes, Bacon and Eggs and a side of Potato Churros. Potato churros are a MUST, the inside is so soft and delicious while the outside is so crispy. The crab benedict was crab cakes, so it did feel pretty heavy but it was so tasty and filling. The bacon and eggs came with a pork belly instead of traditional bacon and that was also amazing, the flavor of the pork belly was addicting. The pancakes were so soft and tasty as well. The Smoked Salmon and Burrata I did not personally try, but it looked so fresh and delicious! The restaurant is always so beautiful and the service is always great as well! It was great to be back for brunch .

A Minneapolis Essential - 10/10 If you only have one dinner in Minneapolis, make it Martina. This Argentinian powerhouse is easily one of the best dining experiences in the city. The Standouts: * Mushroom Rigatoni: Hands down, some of the best pasta I've ever had. It's earthy, rich, and a total must-order. * The Apps: Do not leave without trying the Potato Churros (trust me on this) and the Empanadas. They set the bar incredibly high for the rest of the meal. * other Pasta: While the mushroom rigatoni is the star, their various seafood pastas (lobster or shrimp spaghetti is a highlight) as well as the sausage orecchiette are equally refined and fresh. The vibe is chic, the cocktails are top-tier, and the food is flawless. Service is fast and helpful. It's a 10/10 every single time. Absolute must-visit!

Came to Martina for the second time, this round with guests--and just like before, they didn't disappoint. I'd had the ox tongue and octopus here before, and I'm happy to report they're still absolutely amazing. The octopus was perfectly tender, and the ox tongue bruschetta? Rich, savory, and surprisingly addictive. Oysters were fresh and delicious--cleaned the plate in no time. My guests branched out and tried a few of Martina's pasta dishes and fish selections, and every bite earned glowing reviews. Mouthwatering across the board. It's the kind of place that makes hosting easy: great food, great atmosphere, great first impression. Parking can be a challenge thanks to the location and popularity, so plan accordingly. But once you're inside and the first dish hits the table? Worth every bit of effort. Martina continues to deliver--definitely one of my go-to spots when I want to treat myself and share something special.

My family and I came here for dinner on a Friday night. Parking was difficult to find since the lot was completely full so I parked about 2-3 blocks away - make sure you make time to find parking because there's also no valet. Service here is below-average for what it is but the food makes up for it. They have an open kitchen concept, which I like, however, I feel like the seats by the kitchen are a tad too close. I always felt like servers were constantly brushing up against my back. The Hamachi Crudo was very refreshing and delicious - I would recommend! We also had the Charred Brussels Sprout Salad which was also enjoyable. My favorite item, however, were the Steamed Mussels. The portion was fairly large and came with 4 pieces of bread. For pasta, we did the Mushroom Rigatoni which was so delicious! I loved the umami flavor you get from the mushrooms and the sauce was perfect. We also got the Octopus and the Pork Chop. The Pork Chop was really good and I highly recommend this. The Octopus on the other hand was such a disappointment. It was SO salty and the squid ink mayo didn't add much to the dish. Again, SUPER salty and we tried to flag down our server but service was lacking so we didn't get a chance to say anything about the Octopus. We closed our meal off with the Caramel Flan. A good sweet treat, but the price was a little much for what it is. Overall, not super obsessed with going out of my way to eat here but also not a bad spot for dinner.

First things first: if you can't see in low light, hate the dark, or already know your friend is going to say, "Why the h*ll am I holding a candle to read a menu," scoot your booty elsewhere and do not choose Martina -- unless it's blasting sunlight with zero chance of clouds. The vibe is dark and sexy, heavy on atmosphere, with plants and moody lighting that feels very intentional. Staff always friendly and attentive. Don Toliver was playing, getting a girl in her zone. That said, the food is genuinely strong, especially for the gluten-free gals. There are thoughtful options, including gluten-free churros. For me, those leaned more toward smushy potatoes than classic churro texture, but I appreciated that they exist at all. Where Martina absolutely nails it: the cocktails. The old fashioned was a solid 10/10 -- perfectly crisp, balanced, and with the right amount of bitters. Overall: come for the drinks and the food, know what you're signing up for with the lighting, and maybe leave the plain Jane's at home.

    Potato churros-delish!

Visited 3/23/25. First brunch at Martina and everything was really solid. Of course it's Martina so prices are always going to feel a bit steeper than I would prefer, especially for a brunch, but the ingredients they use are incredibly fresh and I can't complain about that. Martina does have a parking lot but by the time I got there at 11am it was full so give yourself time for street parking just in case. I didn't get a drink but a few of my friends got an iced oat milk latte, a latte, and black coffee. They also had options for different cocktails as well. To eat I got the eggs and bacon, my friend got the pancakes, and my other two friends got the seasonal omelets. Everything had great flavor and the potato churros that accompanied my dish were standouts (as per usual). It was pretty busy, which kind of felt that it impacted ability for servers to check in throughout but our server was still kind throughout. I definitely would've loved a quick check in to get like hot sauce or additional sauces offered because the mustard that came with mine was good but I would've loved even just a bit of tapatio or even ketchup for the churros. Got a bite of my friend's pancakes and they were delightful-we later discussed how we should've shared our respective plates for the perfect mix of savory and sweet. Good brunch experience at Martina overall-definitely not a place I would do regular brunch due to price points but would come back periodically for special occasions.

This place is wonderful! Last week I had dinner with some coworkers and we decided to share everything which was a fabulous idea! I was quickly greeted when I arrived and seated at the table. The decor was very pretty and nice and warm! For drinks I tried one of the N.A. options, "Tropical" drink. It was sweeter but really yummy! It was hard to not drink it all at once. For apps we had many but some of my favorites were cinnamon fried calamari, steamed mussels and seared scallops. They were all amazing and def recommend. For our dinner we shared 6 dishes and some of my favorites were mushroom rigatoni, it had a great crisp to the mushroom and everyone thought my choice was the most basic but they ended up loving mine the most!!! We also had mafaldine, orecchiette, fusilli with lamb ragu and swordfish. I also had the best dessert of my life!! You have to try the panqueque. It was a great balance of balance of banana, dulce de leche and crushed caramel! I've been dreaming of this dessert since I had it last week!

    Ask the Community - Martina

What is the dinner dress code?

I suggest casually nice and dressy.

    Is outside seating heated?

No. Outside seating is not heated.

How is the outdoor seating? Better to sit inside or out?

We were there on Saturday for a Father's Day brunch. There was very limited seating outdoors on busy Upton Ave, with maybe 3 or 4 tables, and it wasn't a very pleasant ambiance either. Inside is quite nice so I recommend indoor seating.

Are you still serving brunch on the weekends?

    Not at this time.

Are there eggs in the potato churros?

No, no eggs in the churros. We do serve a spicy mayo with them and there is egg in the mayo.

Do they have a kids menu?

The atmosphere is kid friendly and I don't remember seeing anything about a kid's menu. I would not recommend bringing children.

Are any of the cocktails sugar free or have no added sugars?

Yes! I don't remember the name though...

Do they have Vegan Brunch options?

Hi, Terri, as I recall it was pretty limited for vegan options. Lots of egg and seafood type options. Hope this helps.

Do they have a happy hour during the week?

    No happy hour

I came here a few days ago during their "crabby hour" from 8-10 pm and we all each ordered our set of a truffle fries, a Granada slider, and a mahi mahi taco. The fries were incredible. They were super crispy, cooked perfectly and I love truffle with fries. The best part however was the aioli that came paired with it. It had a citrusy, umami flavor that was just so incredible I would have taken a whole jar home if I was able to. Absolutely perfect and can make any dish. The Granada slider was also awesome. It was bigger than I expected and included that wonderful aioli again, along with some greens, the patty, manchego cheese, and bacon. It was delicious and once again that aioli is just perfect and it was a much larger amount of food than I was expecting. I also had the mahi mahi taco as well which was good, but not my favorite. I'd probably try something instead of this again next time. Also, the staff is super funny and really awesome. We had Cassie (sorry if I got this wrong) and she was super kind, made a lot of jokes, and even gave us a tour of the theatre when we asked if we could take a peak to see what it looks like. Incredible service, we had a really great time with her. We all are definitely going to come back soon, and maybe even come for a show! But the food alone is worth a visit for sure in my opinion. I strongly recommend the Granada Slider and you have to get the truffle fries with the aioli. Thankfully they gave us a table right away anyways. The restaurant is attached to a theatre so it gets really busy prior to showtimes and the service becomes slow or non existent. At one point it even seemed that they forgot about us and the manger noticed so she made sure to get our food to us. The server later apologized and was very kind but I couldn't help but notice she took the time to chit chat with coworkers while we waited. When the theatre performance started it loudly traveled into the restaraunt through the walls. While it didn't bother me I can see how this may bother others. The amico mocktail was delicious- it definitely had more of an actual cocktail vibe. I don't miss alcohol but I do miss the fancy drinks in snazzy glassware so that was a nice little treat. We ordered the Molten cake the flavor of the pistachio gelato berry sauce and chocolate was definitely a ratatouille moment but for the price of $12 it was a very small cake.
