This is a restaurant with great atmosphere in a downtown part of a community with great atmosphere. The entire restaurant's open format makes you feel like you are at a chill, laid back party where everyone is welcome. I've had a lot of wood-fired pizza and I think what stands out well on these pizzas is the dough. It has a wonderful chewy texture. Great cheese blend too. We got the pepperoni, a sausage (which was a little different and more earthly than Italian sausage I am accustomed to, but still very tasty), and the Funghi which had a lemony-tang to it. The Caesar salad was delicious. Very delicate, not in-your-face; I loved that. I love baba ganoush so I hope to try that if we go back - we didn't want to fill up on too much bread before the pizza! But the dip apps are a great idea since they have an oven and bread making going on anyway. The drinks were delicious and refreshing. They have a well-planned menu of both alcoholic and nonalcoholic creations. Many of them veer toward the spritz and refreshing cocktail recipes. I'm a sucker for limoncello and bubbly so I went right for the Capri Spritz, then sampled the Malena (like a margarita). I enjoyed both but the alcohol content for these cocktails was very low, particularly the first. Many restaurants do this now and I don't know if low alcohol is a current trend people prefer or if it is really just a cost thing. Not saying I need to get sloppy at dinner out or anything, it's just you always pay a mark-up for alcohol. Wow! I've been twice to Rosalia. My personal favorite menu item was the Za'atar chopped salad. This herbacious salad packs a punch; it's flavorful and creamy without feeling heavy. I could eat this twice a week for the rest of my life and never tire of it. Other standouts- the Isaac Becker pizza (raw tuna!) was a great play on the OG tuna pizza from Burch. My mom was prepared to hate it, but ended up loving it. The flavors were bright, it was satisfying while staying light. The Funghi was delicious but heavier and a different vibe. The Funghi was a quintessential cozy-day winter pizza, while the Funghi you could eat on a beach. The Mediterranean gin & tonic was outstanding- herb-forward, balanced, bubbly. The pebble ice made it feel special. The lemon ricotta cake was delicious, if a bit pricey for what it was. I always order lemon ricotta cake when it's on the menu. read more

This place has one of my fave patios in the summer! A true patio, not just a couple of tables next to the street. The service is always friendly, knowledgable and very responsive. On this visit we tried the burrata dip which was out of this world with marinated grapes, so interesting! The beet salad was off the charts. Get it!! This time around we ordered the Verde pizza. It wasn't our favorite as it lacked much flavor outside of the sausage. There are many other delicious pies to choose from, but this one missed the mark for us this time. That's ok. Rosalia still earns 5/5! This time I was able to enjoy a full dinner here. They sat us upstairs, which was nice and cozy. I didn't have a hard time hearing the people at my table which is a plus. We started with the Three Dips again, which is a must to get your bang for your buck and try more things. You can get more bread to go with it if you ask, but we had to save room for the mains! The 4 of us then shared the Bianca, the Verde, and the Mortadella Panuozzo. The Bianca was the clear winner between all of us with the lemon ricotta. It was so unique and delicious! The Verde was fine, but lacked spice and flavor. The Mortadella Panuozzo is NOT a pizza, but more of a sandwich. Very thankful our server warned us of that. It was very creamy and delicious with the pistachio pesto and the burrata. Ending our meal, we got the Tiramisu Panna Cotta which reminded me of Flan. Had a huge craving for pizza and had this place on my list to try. Why the heck did I wait so long. The vibe is a cool, casual, hip place for dates or friends. We split the insalata salad and a pepperoni pizza. The salad was delicious. The dressing was tasty and ingredients fresh. Nice zest to the salad. Perfect splitting size. My fav is when the pepperonis curl up on the pizza and these did just that. The crust was perfectly done and had a nice brick oven crisp to it. We sat on the upper level which was nice. Only thing that made it a bit tricky was that some of the tables felt more pushed together, which made it harder for everyone to get through/navigate. Otherwise, service was solid, and pizza was delicious. Sourdough crust style really makes Rosalia stand out amongst other pizza places in the twin cities. Pizza is one of those things where it's never bad. It's usually good... but it's rarely great. Rosalia was really really good. The back patio was beautiful and so was the inside as well. It was nice out so we sat outside. Our waiter, can't remember his name, was friendly. The one funny thing was he took my plate away while it still had that one last bite left I'd kind of eaten around to make sure the last bite was the best... kinda broke my heart but wasn't a big deal. We got the Bianca and the Pepperoni. The Bianca has a bunch of arugula on it so it's a little bitter but the cheese, chunks of garlic, and lemon (which is pretty strong) balanced it out and the crushed pepper on it added a nice kick. For me, it still needed some kind of oomf to get it over the edge, a pop of flavor, but I'm not sure what. Overall though, it was good. The Pepperoni was the highlight, and what made it was the hot honey they had on it as well as the slight charring of the crust/pepperoni. The one tiny thing I would've liked was a little more crisp on the crust but regardless, floppy or not, it was delicious. If you're in the area, give this place a visit! read more

Food was solid. Very dairy-forward, but they did a great job with the vegetables. The main reason I would go back is to try another salad. The ambience was chill too, fashionable but approachable. My issue here was with the service ... server didn't show up for about 15 minutes despite the place being like 1/4 full when we got there. Another server came by without us prompting and said "I don't know where your server is but here's some water." When the server did show up, she seemed like she was high. She acted like she was doing us a favor by doing her job 60-70% of the time we were there. Unfortunately, it was our 9th wedding anniversary celebration and it was somewhat of a damper on the situation. We had kind of a similar low-quality of service at their sister restaurant Martina as well, but Martina was slightly better. Despite liking the salads, I think distrust in service would keep me away in the future. Probably a good stopping place here before just becoming a rant. read more

I loved the Bianca and really loved that it incorporated healthy greens (arugula) so it's like pizza meets salad with a slight richness from the lemon ricotta and other cheeses and a lil zest from chile flake. The Margherita simple and delicious, but can't beat the flavor of that oven on the crust. That was the best hummus platter ever. It's expensive. Went for a date another time. For an app, individual pizzas, and two cocktails between two adults, our bill was around $150. Love the open layout where you can see the pizza being fired up in a beautiful wood or coal? fired oven and cooked if seated on the lower level. There's a second level and a patio. This restaurant is wonderful! The floor to ceiling windows gives it an open feel and you get to look out in their beautiful like courtyard seating outside. We love sitting on the second level to take in the full view. We enjoyed an amazing pepperoni pizza and they're wonderful salads . The customer service is top notch, and they know how to pair the wine perfectly with the pizza and salad. The staff is very knowledgeable in the pizza and the wine. My go to pizza restaurant. This restaurant is never crazy packed which is amazing for always getting a reliable seat. I've tried most everything on the menu and by far the stand out item is the Bianca. Great balance of cheese and lemon and some arugula that makes it a unique and "lighter" tasting pizza. Their house made vanilla limoncello is also unreal. You can't beat all the house plants in the restaurant, natural lighting, and close walking distance to lake Harriet. Upon arrival, parking proved to be a challenge due to the busy and crowded nature of the area, which was anticipated. The restaurant itself appeared upscale and welcoming, with friendly dogs seated at tables. However, I encountered an issue with the hostess. She informed me that the only available seating options for our party were either on the balcony or inside. I expressed confusion, as there were vacant tables on the patio, and inquired if we could be seated at one of those instead. The hostess declined, stating that those tables were reserved, despite our own reservation. We waited for our daughter and her boyfriend to arrive, during which time a woman with two children entered and requested patio seating without a reservation. The hostess seated them at a four-top table on the patio without hesitation, which I found to be inconsistent with our own experience. This incident led me to decide that I will not return to this establishment in the future. Furthermore, their specialty pizza arrived cold. We were told it would be an hour so we passed the time doing some window shopping around the neighborhood. They use Resy, so making a reservation was easy. Our server was wonderful and attentive. She could definitely tell we were having fun. We went for brunch on a Sunday, and we thought it would be busy, but it was surprisingly empty. It was also the Superbowl, so that could have been why. We went with a group, and they only had one table big enough in the restaurant that could accomodate us all. When the patio opens, there will be more options. Now to the good part, the food. Everything was delicious. I ordered a Lilikoi Spritz and an Arnold Palmer, both incredible. They also use nugget ice! We ordered the three spread with an extra bread and it was 100% worth it. The Carrot Tahina was my absolute favorite. Then onto pizza, we ordered family style so we got 4 pizzas for 5 people. We ordered the Zucca, Funghi and added anchovies, Mortadella, and the Bianca. Every pizza was so good, but I prefer the Bianca or the Zucca. The Bianca has lemon ricotta and it was so fresh and light. And the Zucca has almonds and that just add this toasted nut flavor that isn't overpowering. And since we were here for a birthday, we got the triple berry sorbet to share. We came here on valentine's day for dinner, and it was a greta experience. Our server was wonderful and paid careful attention to our needs. The food was delicious and everything we wanted. We started with the baba ganoush which was served with a warm charred flatbread. It was creamy and smokey with a delicious eggplant topping. We then had a simple margarita which never disappoints, and then we had a salciccia pizza. Our favorite was the salsiccia!! Lastly, the house limoncello was the perfect way to end the night. Rosalia takes the spot in my top 5 restaurants of the metro area! We got a reservation 2 hours before eating for a patio spot. The process was very easy online to make a reservation. I was worried it would get too chilly, but there are heaters outside that kept us warm! Similarly, I was nervous having never been there before that the patio would be right next to the street and be obnoxious. However, it tucked in quite a ways from the street, offering a secluded and quiet atmosphere. Even with the construction, Rosalia is a nice, isolated spot. The food was incredible, which is why it's now in my top five spot. We got the Roasted Broccolini as an appetizer. I wish I could eat this every day! It was delicious! We ordered two pizzas to split, and they were both some of the best pizzas we have eaten in a long time. The only downside to the pizza was eating the crust dry at the end (we're used to dipping them in olive oil and balsamic), but the unique flavors of the pizza made up for it.
