Great burgers, with an amazing holiday display and Christmas photo-op area! A bit pricey for burgers, but I do think it's one of the best burgers I've had in a while. My friend's Double Barrel burger looked amazing, but the burger to bread ratio was a bit too high for me. I got the plain Jane Cheeseburger (4/5) and thought it was pretty good with a nice crisp on the smashed burger patty. I also had a side of tomato soup (3/5) and it was served with these delicious crispy crackers. The crackers were better than the soup though. Service was friendly and on par with their competitors. I was too full for dessert, but wished I had room for that shareable smores dessert to share with friends!
I dined here on Sunday night in their festive room which was a very fun experience, the decorations were stellar. The service was somewhat poor. She/they would disappear for extensive times and our entrees came out one or two minutes after our appetizer came out. The food was decent! We got the cheese fondue which was good, fondue is always gonna be fun and hard to mess up. For entrees, we got the Le Shroom burger, 60/40 burger, sweet potato fries, and truffle fries. This is one of the establishments where fries do not come with the burger. The burgers were very good; they were worth the hype with quality ingredients. The fries weren't anything special but did the trick.
We had been to their other locations before and loved them, so when we needed a brunch spot before the Pride Parade, we looked no further than Red Cow Uptown!! There's plenty of parking in the lot next to the restaurant, which is super clutch given how difficult parking can be in Uptown. We arrived at 10:15am on Sunday and we were the only ones there, so it was pretty easy to get a table. Our server was super friendly and able to keep up quite well with our sassy table of six. I had the Chicken and Waffles, which was quite yummy! Perfect blend of sweet and salty with appropriate serving size to feel satisfied but not stuffed. I would absolutely order again!
Loved the intimate ambiance of this restaurant, enhanced by low lighting and candlelight. Service was stellar: we had relatively large group with a lot of questions and the waitstaff was professional and friendly. But I am burying the lead: the food was amazing! I had the steak frites and it blew my mind. The steak was perfectly tender and seasoned well. I paired my meal with a red Zinfandel that enhanced every bite. We were a full, happy group at the end of the evening. Bon appetite!
The Red Nose Room was festive. The drinks were tasty. The food at the Red Cow is consistent and good. Service was cheerful and efficient. Loses a star since HH is apparently not available now until end of January so it's a little pricy for apps in my opinion.
Every time I come here I have the best experience. I usually sit at the bar and I feel lucky to have the best bartenders! They're always personable and friendly with great recommendations. The ahi crisps are my go to whenever I go but everything on the menu has been good in the past! I love that they have a variety of cocktails that are unique and not just basic drinks. It's a nice place to go for dinner but I enjoy the happy hour the most. It's usually pretty relaxed and a nice hangout spot. I appreciate that they have a parking lot so it's convenient to get there! The restaurant is always clean and well kept as well. This is from October so I'm not sure if the drinks are on the menu still but they were both very good!
The festive decorations give it a nice charm. We ordered the Turkey burger and fried chicken sandwich. The turkey burger was perfection! The Nashville Hot dry rub on the fried chicken sandwich is indeed quite spicy. Nolan did a great job checking in pre-order and after we received our food. It was not very busy while we were there but we were there at lunch time on a Tuesday. Overall, we had a great experience.
My friend and I chose to visit the Red Cow in Uptown for their holiday Rose Nose Room pop-up bar! We arrived at about 5:30pm on a Friday and the bar was already in full swing. We had mixed feelings about the pop-up bar. The themed bar was help on their enclosed patio. It was absolutely packed, there weren't many high tops to stand at and absolutely no seating other than one table in the back, or the photo backdrop. The themed cocktail menu wasn't overly enticing with a lot of cinnamon flavored drinks, we chose to just go with wine and champagne. The wait for a 2 person table ended up being about 45 minutes which I understand for a Friday, but so early in the evening was a bit surprising. The fun part was their super cute Santa's chair photo station! It was super festive and they had plenty of props to use. The food and drinks at the restaurant were nice as always. This being my first winter themed pop-up bar I wasn't super impressed unfortunately.
This is such a magical place during the end of the year! They go all out with tons of holiday spirit! They have specialty drinks in holiday mugs and kitchy glasses. The entire place is decorated from top to bottom with tinsel, lights and balls! The main menu available all year round has amazing burgers and sides. You will find quality meat, coupled with delicious jams, spreads, cheese, bacon and so much more. Don't sleep on the grilled cheese with tomato soup on those cold nights. They pack.chips into the sandwich just like I did as a kid! The bar is spacious and has many tvs if you'd like to watch a game here year round as well. The staff are the best, with quick service, good attitudes and smiles!

Came to Red Cow with two friends for dinner at their Holiday themed restaurant/bar. Overall the experience was great! Our server was upbeat and whimsical. It was very busy and took over 30 minutes to be seated - but they are walk-in only so that's to be expected. The staggering of our drinks, app, and meals was perfect timing - the chips were hot and the Cuban sandwich was fresh. All the festive cocktails were $16 and not worth that imo, but it's fun that they're served in festive cups. They collect your ID as collateral and we had to remind our server to return them. Seems like a messy process. Overall enjoyed our evening at Red Cow Uptown! I will definitely return to this location again.
I'm quite torn about how to rate this place. A plus for the over the top holiday decorations and special menu. I loved the frozen cranberry margarita - not too sweet, which is always my concern. The SantaGria came in a charming little ornament glass, but the drink itself was so so. The smores tray was amazing - highly recommend for a large group! The biggest disappointment came from the regular menu - the tuna poke bowl. I've had it other Red Cow locations, but this one was really disappointing. The tuna was barely thawed. The chunks were all stuck together in an almost frozen hunk. Not good. Hence the lower rating. I was impressed with how well the staff handled the crowds on a crazy busy evening. I do love the Red Cow/Red Rabbit restaurants but this was not my best experience. I'd still recommend the holiday pop-up, just avoid the Tuna.
I love red cow. Their food is delish. Their holiday cocktails are so good and presentation is great. Service was amazing per usual. We got the Santa sangria and the mulled cider. Both delightful. Their Christmas pop up was so festive and well done. They do have a bar off to the side decorated as a ski chalet. They do have a couple cocktails out there that are not available at the regular bar. Lots of cute photo ops available. If you're looking for a good Xmas "pop up" with good drinks and food, I would highly recommend red cows uptown location.
Went here for the holiday pop-up Red Nose Room and it was decked out for the holidays! Reservations booked up quickly so make them ahead of time next holiday season. The holiday pop-up was definitely worth a visit, but I don't think I would go out of my way to dine here for the normal menu. From the normal menu, the Ultimate burger was good but not outstanding. The truffle fries were crispy and the truffle flavor was not overpowering. The milkshake was creamy and not too sweet. The best bite was the house salad-- the crispy lil bacon and almond bits were a great texture contrast and the sherry vinaigrette was light. From the Red Nose Room menu, the Cranberry Spritzer mocktail was sweet and tart. I would've liked a little more dilution. The Cheese Fondue was fun for the novelty, but the flavor was a little bland and the fondue could've been more warm. read more

I coordinated a holiday lunch for my team of 13 people. I called ahead since I could only make a reservation of 6 but was informed if I made multiple reservations as long as the # was accounted for, it would be good. Thankfully there was a dedicated parking area and we were early enough that it wasn't an issue. We got there on time and they got our tables together. Immediately upon entering, it's like a Christmas snow globe and everything in-between. The decorations were great and the servers were dressed up too. Our server was welcoming and explained our options. The space wasn't too crowded on a Tuesday lunch and we ordered drinks and appetizers. It came out but we noticed it was almost an hour since we arrived and we haven't gotten a chance to order our main dishes yet. We flagged down our server and she said she would be back to assist. Unfortunately some of our team members were running short on time not anticipating the delay, so some had to order to-go. The food came out in a reasonable time after we placed our orders and everything else went smoothly thereafter. My So Cal Burger impossible patty was slightly overcooked and dry. The fries were nicely crispy. Overall the ambiance was perfect for our holiday celebration. read more

Seen that they decorated really cute for the holidays so I decided to go check it out. They had the regular menu as well as a special holiday menu with specialty drinks and food options (the food options were mostly apps). The drinks came in cute themed cups, so did the food (we didn't order food off the special menu but seen some of it in passing). I got 2 drinks and the so cal burger (impossible burger) w/ truffle fries, it was pretty good but pricey. They had a special ski resort themed room (in the patio area) that was super cute. They also had specialty drinks and photo ops. Very busy & crowded these days but glad I got to check it out. read more

Got the 60/40 burger pictured on the left and the ultimate burger on the right. Both came out super juicy and medium pink like requested, wonderfully cooked. Got a side of the truffle fries, which were alright, the server noticed we didn't eat much and offered to comp them, worried we were unsatisfied. For an appetizer we got the chips and French onion dip, which exceeded my expectations for chips and dip. We came around Christmas time so the atmosphere was very festive. Will be back again for sure. read more

We went to Red Cow for a birthday brunch with about 10 adults on a Saturday. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our server went above and beyond to make it a special and fun experience and he vibed with our group perfectly. Half ordered from the brunch menu and half ordered from the lunch menu. Everyone enjoyed their food. I had the Double Barrel burger- it was great! We also had spf and cheese curds. For brunch you get complimentary mini donuts! We will definitely be going back. read more

A friend group decided to visit for the fun red nose room at brunch. I have been to this and other locations before, this location can get busy and parking can be difficult even though they do have a dedicated lot. Of course the ambiance of the reindeer room was super fun and our server had a ton of positive energy. I always love the food I get at Red Cow. I've never had brunch there. The menu had plenty of options, but I chose to go with the classic eggs Benedict. I also went with the gingerbread White Russian which was strong but tasty, and the abominable Snowman. We had fun taking festive pics too. If you can, make a stop by for the festive fun, but also any other time of year! The food is great year round read more
My boyfriend and I stopped here for the holiday vibes on Christmas. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable on everything on the menu. I was very pleased with everything we had from the cute holiday drinks, to the great wings and the very juicy and flavorful smash burger. I haven't had a burger in over 7 years and I was honestly thrilled I broke that at Red Cow. We split the entree and it still felt like enough food for us both! My experiences at this Red Cow location have all been really good; the food and drinks are solid across the board, and the service has left a lasting impression. I'm a big fan of the holiday pop-up they have in December, and we had a group of 7 stop by on a Friday night without a reservation. They were honest that the wait was looking like it'd be an hour and that they were closing in about an hour but said we could check out the decor and the "ski chalet" in the patio area. We were exploring the ski chalet (which was super cute) when we got a text (like 5 minutes after we had given them our number) that our table was ready, which was a super pleasant surprise. I think they had put together two tables near the bar for us, which they didn't have to do, and our server was really great, checking in with us multiple times and splitting checks for us. We split two s'mores platters ($21 each), and I had a hot chocolate ($8). The s'mores platters were super fun; they come with mini fires; the traditional chocolate, graham crackers and marshmallows; and a bunch of fun touches like strawberries, bananas, chocolate and caramel syrups, different chocolates and cookies, etc. And the two platters were plenty for 7 people. The hot chocolate (which came in a cute mug) wasn't really anything special and on the watery side. I enjoy Red Cow's burgers, and I love sitting on the patio in the summer. Visited for the red nose room holiday experience and it was such a fun vibe! No reservations so we arrived around 4 on a Saturday expecting a wait. We were told one hour and 15 min which was fine with us as we planned to spend a little time in the heated ski lodge patio area. We luckily found a standing room table and got a round of drinks that were delicious and festive. We were nearly done with our guest drinks when we got notice our table was ready after just 25 min! We got seated in a booth in the bar area, which was great for people watching and quiet enough to have easy conversation. We ordered an appetizer of the fondue, which was OK, but the cheese was much runnier than I would have liked. Our group ordered the Cubano and a few burgers. All got positive reviews. The burgers are always a smart choice at red cow. We kept the festive theme going with a few more of their drinks as well. In the dining room room when we ordered drinks, they told us that they had to take our IDs because last year they apparently lost multiple thousands of dollars of their fun drinkware during their holiday stretch. The drinks are pricy so maybe people thought the cups were included. Overall this was a really fun night out. No reservations so go early and plan to spend some time in the sidebar, it's worth the extra time! read more

Food:3/5 Service:4/5 Ambiance:4/5 Value:3/5 We flew from NY for brunch out of random pick. Waited 30 mins. Long line around 1pm local time. Unfortunately the wait did not guarantee good dishes. Disappointed. Japanese sticky dry rub wings (3/5). The outer layer is very crispy flavorful but bland inside. To make sure we placed two orders. Harvest salad (1/5). This is the biggest dismay. Extremely oily and kale is FRIED and other ingredients are smothered into olive oil. No green leafy ingredients but with a few very hard chunky Brussels sprouts. I could not touch much. Red Cow salad (2/5). Again too much olive oil! Killed the healthy sense of delightful salads that supposed to be. Red Cow world-winner burger (3/5). Midpoint. Cheese curds (4/5). This one is savory and enjoyable. The only dish lives up to the expectation. Toast (3/5). Average. Caramelized milk shake (1/5). A piece of long human protein came with the shake. My wife and I (in our late sixties) stopped for a warm-up before attending a local Fringe festival show. We were seated promptly in a private booth and the place had a lively, casual urban vibe. Most of the clients and servers were in their 30 somethings. They seemed like they wanted to be there and provided attentive, positive service. My house gin, dry martini straight up with 3 olives, came in a champagne and not a real martini glass and I was disappointed with the taste and the actual small volume. Though I don't think ordering a top-shelf gin would have improved it, since it was probably less than 4 oz. My wife ordered their featured drink, a mint julep, that was delicious and it came in a short highball glass with one of those giant ice cubes and nice garnishes. It was so tasty that I had to order one following my disappointing martini. My wife asked for a grilled cheese and it came with a cup of tomato bisque. I got an order of their french onion soup, against the recommendations of both the hostess and our table server. Our onion rings appetizer arrived promptly with our bar drinks. The eight large onion rings in a light beer batter, and it was great that you could actually see and taste the tender onions in them. They were more than enough for the two of us to share before our soups arrived. My "soup" was closer to pot roast gravy than it was to french onion soup. The texture was more slimy than savory. As it turns out, the employees there were honest in their warning. They really should take that off their menu. My wife's grilled cheese, while delicious, had BBQ potato chips mixed in the cheese, which she had been warned about, by the server before she ordered, but still it made for an odd texture of grilled cheese to her. To finish we shared a warm apple crisp topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. This was the highlight of the food items! The apple slices still had character to them. Th crispy crunchy oatmeal crust had just the right amount of cinnamon and when you add the melted ice cream on top, it was heaven in every fork full. The bill with tip $125. Food very tasty. The curds were very good. Maybe a little greasy but that's like bottom of the basket. You'd never expect triple berry ketchup to work till you try it. Had the Bourbon Chicken (grilled) sandwich, great. One I'd crave anywhere I live. Vibe is bar. Not much else you can say there. Sat at the bar. Bartenders were social and gave good recs when asked. Shoutout to the forced taste of the pumpkin beer. One of the better pumpkin beers I've had. PS Beer selection is awesome. Something for everyone. read more
I had parked at a Walgreens in uptown Minneapolis and was walking along Hennepin Avenue to get to Sencha Tea Bar. I saw this Red Cow and it put a smile on my face. Last October, I had visited the Red Cow in North Loop and loved it. The next day, I returned to the uptown area to shop at Cheapo Records. Afterwards, I drove over to this Red Cow for dinner. You can't miss it, as there's a huge sign by the street light that faces Hennepin. I had no problem finding a parking spot. I backed into one. It's free for Red Cow customers. I then walked into the eatery. A man came to greet me. I asked for a table and was promptly seated in a cozy corner. The bar was to my right, but I had a short wall that kept things intimate and private. I had the nicest server. She was responsive throughout my stay. I ordered the following items: - Diet Coke - Mushroom and swiss burger with tots - Avocado cheesecake Water and my Diet Coke came out first. Both were cold and refreshing after a fun time looking at CDs. My server came over a bit later to light the small candle on my table. It was nice. I like the mushroom and swiss burger at Red Cow. This franchise makes excellent burgers. I tend to get mine well-done because I had food poisoning getting a medium burger at an eatery at MSP Airport. Every time I pass by that place, I don't feel like getting anything there. Food poisoning experiences are sadly memorable. I digress. The burger here was fabulous. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly. I loved the sauteed mushrooms and melted swiss cheese. The bun was soft and yummy. The tots are my favourite here. They were crispy on the outside and creamy inside. So good! For dessert, I wanted something small. I found a single-serve portion of avocado cheesecake on the menu. Yes! It was also gluten-free. This dessert hit the spot. It was cute in a small mason jar. The avocado cheesecake was creamy and oddly light. I didn't feel like I was having a rich, dense cheesecake. The crumble at the bottom was the right amount. It was loose, which I appreciated. I don't like when it's a hard crust and I look like I'm excavating to break it up before I eat it. I paid for my bill at the table. I gave my credit card to my server, who ran it through her portable payment machine. I tipped. Done! The women's washroom was around the corner from my table. It was clean and nicely maintained. I had an excellent experience at this Red Cow. There are a grand total of four Red Cow locations in Minnesota (three in the Twin Cities and one in Rochester). Get the Japanese sticky wings and chips and onion dip' Stopped by for a quick cocktail after the uptown art fair. Service was little spotty but enjoyed the vibe. Will be back for happy hour read more
