Had a nice lunch here on a Friday. They have a lunch menu $15 but ordered off regular menu. I really enjoyed my patty melt. Super good along with good fries. Double patty and two cheeses. Spouse had grilled cheese and tomato basil soup. Thought soup was a bit too spicy and grilled cheese just meh. Would recommend patty melt but would pass on grill cheese and soup. It's a handsome space and very well designed. Restrooms also very upscale and super clean. Plenty of ramp parking This is a great place and reasonably priced. read more

I have been to Red Cow many times. Ordered hamburgers. Hamburgers you get. Today I ordered their Cobb Salad. It was the worst Cobb Salad I have ever had. Everything was cut in miniscule pieces. It had a terrible vinegarette dressing on it. I tried to pick out the chicken and the eggs but I didn't know what anything was. I couldn't eat it. I went home and made a sandwich. The Red Cow is a bar serving bar food. That's not for me. I won't be back. read more

We got here around 6 pm on a Saturday and they were running on about a 25 min wait. They added us to the waitlist, I got confirmation that I was on the waitlist but 40 min later we haven't heard from them... we stopped by to check things out and we weren't showing as being on the list and there were plenty of tables so they sat us. Seems like a bit of incompetence on the hostess's part but at least we got seated. They are very good with accommodating gluten free, in fact their breading on the chicken and cauliflower is gluten free for everyone! They cauliflower was great (in my opinion) but note for those that don't love sauce: it comes pre-sauced! The mussels were good, I had that as my meal, however it was odd that they serve mussels with sandwich bread slices and not baguette.. Stopped by Red Cow Wayzata and had a great experience overall. We tried their double burger, chips with onion dip, and the patty melt -- all delicious! The burgers were juicy and perfectly cooked, and that onion dip was seriously addictive. You can tell they take pride in doing the classics really well. The service was great -- friendly and welcoming -- but not very attentive to allergies, which is something to keep in mind if you have any dietary restrictions. The atmosphere is relaxed and modern, perfect for a casual lunch or dinner. The only miss for me was the mule, which was just average compared to how good the food was. Came here on a Saturday evening without a reservation and was able to be seated quickly! This is a newer addition in downtown wayzata and we absolutely loved it. The decor inside is nice but the best part are patio doors that open up so you can feel the breeze even inside. The open concept was amazing and even though we weren't able to sit on the patio we felt like we were still partially outside. I got the so cal burger which was a great vegan option! There is only two vegan options on the menu but lots of other food options for those without dietary restrictions. The drinks are a bit pricy so we opted for the kombucha and that was great. Chips and dip is a must. Chips are hot and crispy and dip is lick the bowl clean delicious. Onion rings were ok, kinda greasy, sauce didn't add anything, wouldn't get again. We got the double barrel burger with tots and the steak frites. Burger is fantastic. Steak was cooked perfect and bordelaise sauce on top and bernaise sauce on the side were both great, though it was a little spendy for what it was at $27. Chandler was our server, he was friendly and he let us take our time, we never felt rushed. Lots of parking options either on street or in multiple parking garages, both of which are free. Unfortunately I was not super impressed with my food or our service. Someone in my party had an allergy, and ordered something that included an ingredient not on the menu. When she asked for them to remake it due to her allergy, it returned still containing the allergen. She stopped eating as soon as she found them mixed in, and it was dismissed by our server because she didn't throw a fit. I've been here a couple of times now. Love the location in cute downtown Wayzata and their happy hour! We have tried a lot of items: -Barrel burger: is not a smashed burger like it claims, it's more of a normal burger patty. Tasty but not smashed. -Truffle fries: delicious! -French onion soup: absolutely love the broth (best we have ever had) but it was lukewarm. Not sure if they bake it but it should be cooked under a salamander and come out hot, it tasted more microwaved. The cheese should be bubbling over the sides. Please swap the croutons for a perfect circle of bread and cover the bread in cheese and you've got a game changer! -chicken wrap: fell apart on me and was dry. Had to ask for sauce. -chicken wings: delicious! Get them. The sticky ones were our fav! -turkey burger: was very dry. From start (including putting in our names) to finish, we left after being there a little over 2 hours. Our waitress wasn't very friendly and not attentive. She would take one person's request and then disappear without hearing what everyone else might have wanted. We had to flag her down many times. We will be back for happy hour. read more

The winner gets to go to the brewery in Colorado! Both me and my fiancé were interested in trying the beer, so we each ordered one. I got the hazy ipa and my partner got the lager. The beer was GREAT and we got a second round. Great suggestion from the server! Our meals were both delicious and it was a beautiful night outside on the patio. We split a brownie Carmel shake to go. We got the cheese curds to start and we subbed for the ranch, it was a thicker ranch and had great flavor. The cheese curds were fresh and had a good breading to cheese ratio. Happy to have a Red Cow in the burbs! We finally had our first visit and it felt just like walking into every other Red Cow. The first thing I noticed was that with the space being smaller, some of the free standing tables were closer together. Service was great - super friendly and attentive. Food came out quickly! I ordered the Tennessee hot chicken sandwich - not very hot, but that's okay, still super yummy. The cheese curds were amazing! So perfectly fried and a great amount of curds for an app size. My only "meh" was that we were at a table that was about 3 inches away from the table next to us so I tried hard not to listen to our table neighbors. I got the teriyaki chicken poki bowl and it was a good! There was too much ginger but it was easy to push aside and enjoy the rest. The rest of the group got burgers and chicken fingers. The breakfast Burger was pretty salty which made it a challenge to finish. Wish there was less salt. Really beautiful establishment they obviously spent a ton of money on. Great vibe. Service was prompt and friendly, but maybe a tad unorganized with the hustle and bustle of the brunch service. We got our server switched, but from time to time our original server would come check in on us...kind of made things a little awkward. I can highly recommend the French onion chips and dip and the blue cheese burger. My wife on the other hand had the 60/40 blend burger and it was just too salty and a tad overcooked. Probably a bit hard to execute on and reminded me of Slaters 50/50 blend back in California. I think that much bacon in the blend just doesn't cook up well. Overall pretty pleased though and kind of keen to check out their other burger options. They also have a great beer menu so it'll probably draw me back in. read more
