Basic burger with fries
Elise L.

Food was incredibly. The fried pickles and Milton style wings were perfect! The burger was simple but high quality. The jerk Mac and cheese was a little too cheesy for us but flavored really well. They did have a sign asking for patience with short staffing. The service was quick for an early lunchtime, but when it started to get busier we waited for a long time for her to return. Food was delivered hot every time, and we always appreciate that!

This was my first time at Milton's and I loved it! Talking to the people inside while waiting for a table I really got a sense that this spot means something to the community and I hope they can stay open. The food was delicious and service was good despite being a little slower (they explained they had some staffing issues. No big deal!). The jerk Mac and cheese was my favorite, and for my first time trying grits I was really happy with them. I hope to go back!

Bbq nachos - The image shows a plate of loaded nachos with tortilla chips topped with melted cheese, avocado slices, and various toppings, placed on a rustic wooden table. In the foreground, there is a bowl of macaroni and cheese with a creamy cheese sauce and small green garnish. The setting appears to be a casual dining environment, possibly a restaurant or pub.

Making it my personal mission to make sure this place doesn't close If you're like me and have driven by often, THIS IS A MUST STOP!!! It is VERY cutesy and eclectic inside. I had some of the best tasting food I've had in awhile. The jerk Mac and cheese was other-worldly. The BBQ nachos, so well tiered and amazing overall. If you order right, it's very affordable too. Split a few things with your partner / friend; the portion sizes are very filling. Also, the friendliest staff I've had in a longggg time! The whole team was kind, funny and made the experience that much better. One note for the Milton Team - I don't know what your theme/identity is...if you figure that out & market it, paired with the food and service, this place is a twin cities staple for sure!!!

French Onion Soup - A ceramic bowl filled with French onion soup topped with melted cheese and garnished with chopped green onions is centered on a wooden table. The bowl rests on a decorative plate with a red pattern, and a napkin is placed underneath. To the left, there is a set of a fork and knife on a napkin, and behind the bowl, there is a tall glass of water with a purple tint. The setting appears to be in a casual dining environment.

Delicious food and friendly service at Milton's tonight! They were bustling and all came out to me in perfect order. The French Onion Soup was perfect! My entree of Shrimp & Grits was also top notch. Would return for sure! Unique little neighborhood gem with a great vibe!

Walleye, rice ( so good) and veggies. - A white oval plate holds a serving of fish topped with a light, creamy sauce and garnished with chopped chives. Accompanying the fish are fluffy white rice and a side of sautéed vegetables, including green beans, carrots, and red bell peppers. The plate is placed on a granite countertop, with a fork and a napkin nearby, and a glass of red beverage partially visible.

Needed a dinner out before the big freeze this weekend and headed to Milton's. Had a reservation but sitting at the bar is the best so we ordered jerk Mac and cheese and their special - Walleye! Both delicious. I like the walleye because it's not more fish than breading and their special sauce over it isn't over done as well. Definitely heading back soon.

Ribs with apple salad, Fried Pickles, and Jerk Chicken

Absolutely worth a stop. The Jerk chicken was super flavorful. Ribs were good with or without the sauce. Overall the menu has both familiar choices and more exciting ones! My apple & cheese salad was too largely chopped and with too little olive oil and chives to tie together; this was a big let down as I usually love this combo. The ambience is positive . Kind of a trendy bohoesk feel. Service was good, there was confusion between receiving the jerk chicken sandwich vs platter, it was easily fixed- though took a long time to rectify. I think this will become a 5 star establishment but they just aren't there yet.

I honestly didn't want to think too hard about choosing lunch for today, so I decided to check Yelp to see what was nearby. I stumbled across Milton's page and seeing that it was just around the block, I stopped by. After viewing their menu, the Jerk chicken Mac & Cheese caught my eye and my stomach sent stimuli to my brain which translated to me saying yes to the dish. I must say the inside is really cool and has a nice warm touch to it, which is very much appreciated when dining during the winters in MN. I was greeted very swiftly and one of the employees took my order. He gave me a very cool tip about the Mac and cheese, which was to add meat b/cuz it doesn't come with it. I chose chicken as my protein and to my dismay, the restaurant used chunks from a wholebone-in chicken instead of using just boneless chicken breast (which I very much appreciate). That small feature alone let me know that this meals was gonna be jam packed with flavor. I myself am Caribbean so my judgmental instincts were rampant and I had so many premature thoughts of what I might've been given. Safe to say it was absolutely delicious and I mean that with everything in me. I will say it doesn't give the utmost authentic Jamaican jerk flavor that I'm used to but it comes VERY VERY close and I am always open to variations in flavors and cooking styles. I assume it's homemade and for that reason I still give them a 5star. Nonetheless it blends well with the cheese, the pasta itself was cooked perfectly and portion size was phenomenal. I was so tempted to eat all of this in one sitting but I yielded to saving a bit of it for my girlfriend to have a bite as well... sharing is caring, ?right? Lol!! Overall a great experience and the food was served within a 5-10 minute timeframe after my order was taken. The parking is fair and I had no issues but please note that it's on the end of a block adjacent to a stop light so I imagine it could get busy there depending on when you decide to go.

Enjoying a delicious meal of pot roast and mashed potato along with some really tasty carrots - A white oval plate contains slices of pot roast with gravy, mashed potatoes, and a side of roasted vegetables including carrots and red peppers. The plate is placed on a wooden table, and a person wearing a patterned sleeveless top is seated behind it, with their arms visible.

Service was very good. Milton's has a really nice feel to it owed in part to the friendly people who work there. Plenty of good food with generous portions. Add some wine and a couple of Surly's and I was happily patting my tummy! We were treated to the delicious homemade carrot cake as the finale!!!! Pot roast special every Wednesday!! Saw some great looking fried wings ( whole) passing by our table. . Next time!!

French Onion Soup

The food was outstanding. We had the Cobb salad with French onion soup and the tomato bisque. Flavors were perfect and proportions were great! Definitely will be back here! Service was wonderful!

Heartwarming to be back - A man with a beige cap and a mustache is taking a selfie with an elderly woman wearing a red cardigan and brown top at a restaurant. The setting features wooden tables and chairs, a bar area with bottles and glasses, and warm lighting. Several other patrons are visible in the background, and the decor includes plants and hanging lights.

Milton's holds a special place in my heart--it's a local, progressive, and multigenerational family business that my senior mom and dad discovered years ago. They loved it, and I'm so glad we went back recently--this time, our first visit without Dad since he passed. The unpretentious, artsy, rustic family-room vibe makes you feel instantly at home, while the diverse staff and customers show that everyone is welcome here. The food? Incredible. My baby back ribs were so tender they practically fell off the bone, with a BBQ sauce that tasted like it came straight from a home kitchen, not a bottle. And the mac and cheese? Creamy, tender, and full of cheesy flavor with a satisfying kick. Our server, Lily, was attentive yet quietly thoughtful, adding to the warmth of the experience. Support Milton's, and it may just become a beloved spot for you and your loved ones too.

Our beautiful waitress Jennifer

Service is horrible, food is not bad. Don't waste your time here. The waitress/slash receptionist just didn't care, at all.

Passing off a boxed cake mix as "made from scratch" is totally dishonest. Not to mention it tastes terrible.

The place has pool tables , duck claw machine, pull tabs and a stage . The one thing I didn't like was how dark it is but I think it adds to the atmosphere they have at outtakes . I love rubber ducks. The machine was super easy. $1 each turn and after $5 I got 2 ducks total. The bartender was nice and donated me $2 to win my second duck. Super nice of him. We weren't super hungry so opted for just apps. The prices on this menu is incredibly affordable. You can get a burger with the fries for $13, that is not the same price you get at any other sports bar I've been to. The apps we got were the jalapeño popper and the sloppy tots. Both came out quickly and were super yummy. We finished everything and they were generous portions . Just also wanted to share that there a Pokestop right there so if you were looking to play Pokémon go its a good spot.

Don't sleep on Outtakes' food!! I can vouch for the cheese curds, burgers, salads and dry rub…read moreboneless wings... All 10x better than most bars! They also have my favorite ranch in the twin cities hahaha. And the prices are VERY reasonable. My partner and I split 6 few beers and a few apps and it was under $50! The staff are sooo friendly too. The vibe can be a little weird at times, and I hate that they charge a cover on Saturdays (due to live music), but otherwise it's a solid place to eat or watch sports!
