It was ok, not great. Nachos with potato's were bland. I thought they will Have crispy potatoes but no everything was mushy and cold. It had potential but needed better texture and flavor. Tacos cost 7 for one taco. They are pretty loaded. Chicken verde taco was cold and chicken was dry. Steak asada taco had chewy raw stake that you couldn't eat that one was pretty horrible. Staff was ok. Space was nice , outside seating areas is really cute . Beer selection was good and the beer I had was delicious. read more

We were in the neighborhood with friends and decided to try Town Hall Station for an early dinner. Our party of seven was seated immediately, but even though the restaurant was not very busy at that time of day, service was slow. One waitperson seated us with menus, and then....nothing. After a while, a new waitperson arrived and informed us that she was taking over. She brought water and then left. After almost ten minutes, we flagged her down, and she came to take our orders. Two people in our party were interested in the taco offerings but said they couldn't tolerate "heat" and asked how spicy they were. The waitperson assured them that the dishes were not at all "hot" and were very tasty. Well, the tacos were too hot for them to eat. They mentioned that to the waitperson when she came around to ask the proverbial insincere question, "How are the first few bites?" The waitperson had no comment. More importantly, she didn't apologize, offer a replacement, or suggest another item that may be of interest. She just left. A party of seven, all ordering entrées, presents an opportunity for a nice tip. One would think that would motivate staff who work for tips to be accommodating, timely, and helpful. Not in this case. Oh, and the women's bathroom was dirty. Don't think we'll be back anytime soon. read more

The food was just okay. I ordered the Juicy Lucy, but most of the cheese had cooked out, which kind of defeated the point. Fries were good, though. Both of my kids got the fish fry and didn't like it. I tried a bite and it was extremely fishy. My son also wouldn't eat his apples because they were brown. The worst part? The flies. There were at least six buzzing around us the whole time, landing on our food and drinks. My kids were freaking out, and honestly, I don't blame them. It made the whole meal uncomfortable. I ended up spotting this restaurant a few months ago when I stopped in at Patisserie Margo for some treats. There was a lot on the menu that had my interest: tots, shrimp taco, double cheese burger, fries, pretzel... apparently all the healthy items! My friend and I split the Brewer's Double and asked for extra pickles. I think we mentioned "extra" 2 or 3 times - they did not disappoint. The burger itself was decent. The fries were amazing though! The pretzel itself stated in the menu it was filled with cheese, but not a whole lot was in our pretzel. The cheese sauce served with the pretzel was really good and we got our cheese fix that way. I'm originally from WI and have had too many cheese curds to count. This batch wasn't my favorite. The breading just wasn't doing it for me. The service was prompt and friendly. The only disappointment we experienced is that they advertised a sign on the table to sign up for a reward program to receive a beer. When it came to pay, our server and the bar tender did not know how that worked and we ended up paying for 4 beers instead of 2. They do have a pretty decent sized beer and cocktail list. They have a nice sized patio outside, but we sat inside due to the weather. I would go back and try the other items on the menu, but I wouldn't get the curds or pretzel again and that's my typical go to. read more

Bang Bang Shrimp taco was incredible. Shrimp has a light breading and just the right amount of sauce. The Tennessee Hot Chicken Taco was alright. Wish it had sweet relish or kimchi slaw vs dill pickle slices. Both had a bit of spice. Sweet potato fries were delicious. I believe the ranch is homemade and delectable. Good beer, bland and boring food, service relaxed to the point of being languid. That's fine if your goal is to hang out with friends over beer, but not if you're a half hour done with your bland entrees, you want to leave, and your server has ghosted you for the third time. Two stars for the beer, plus one for the patio. If you've been to any of the other Town Hall properties, you're basically getting a variation of the others, only in a renovated gas station with a pleasantly shaded patio. It's a cute facility. A few food comments: the tater tots are more like rolled, deep-fried hash browns than they are tater tots. Using a firmly Minnesotan definition, they were... interesting. And, despite our server's comments that they were a bit spicy, they were not. It's like all the flavors canceled each other out. The roasted cauliflower tacos were okay. The pulled pork was only kind of pulled, meaning every other bite was a chewy, over-sweetened glob. Surprisingly, the fries, which looked generic as possible, were crispy and light. If we have a need to hang out over beers in Edina, we may be back. But, it's not a place to seek out. read more

A nice local restaurant! I highly recommend checking this place out for dinner if you're in the area. There's a decent variety with something for everyone. I've been several times and myself and other people I went with have all enjoyed our meals. A favorite has been the Al pastor tacos, chicken wings, and brewers double burger. The fries are good, too! I had lunch with a group at Town Hall station and I believe the Yelp average rating of about 3.5 is correct. The food is okay. Many fried items - kind of heavy and not much nuance. We had items such as fried cheese curds, French fries, sweet potato fries etc. Somewhat monotonous but very common menu items these days. I have eaten at several places that specialize in burgers and similar fast food and am discouraged by how everything tastes the same. How about some variety? As for ambiance, this restaurant apparently was once a service station and inside is dreary but it was a nice day and we ate outside which was very pleasant. The service was good - no glitches. There is plenty of free parking in a nearby parking lot. All in all I don't have any desire to return. read more

As humans, we are drawn to adventure. To trying new things, eating foods we've not encountered before, and taking chances. Many times, taking chances has a good outcome. I wish I could have said the same for visiting this establishment. There is nothing good I can say about the food. Absolutely nothing. It was the first time that I'd eaten a potato dish and didn't taste ANY potato. The stuffed tots were the main reason we decided to dine here after seeing a movie at Southdale AMC. None of us could figure out what, if any, flavor there was. Things went downhill from there. Two of us ordered the Tennessee Hot Chicken Sandwich. Another first for us: A chicken dish that had no taste of chicken. The coating is fried hard, drying out the chicken and making it difficult to eat. There IS NO HEAT to this chicken. Having grown up eating food so hot that you sweat while eating it, I was looking forward to trying this sandwich. I took it home and fixed it so that I could actually eat it. Adding the dressing I make for potato salad made it much less dry. It still didn't taste like chicken, but I forced myself to eat it. I do not like throwing out food, even though I'm not sure this would qualify. My son ate his sandwich equally as begrudgingly as myself. The third member of our party ordered the Black & Bleu Burger. He also took his burger home, after the waitress brought him the correct burger. We don't know what it was that came out the first time, only that it was not what he wanted. The burger had hardly any bleu cheese on it and the patty also didn't have much flavor. The bun, which we've not encountered before as well, is a grease magnet. It doesn't really add anything to the burgers or sandwiches served here. Even the soda was less than good. I ordered a Cherry Coke and it tasted like stale, watered-down blech. I guess the fact that the hostess stopped smiling when I came in the door (I was the last to enter) was just the beginning of not feeling welcome here. We have no reason to return, and I am advising anyone I know who likes food that tastes good to not attempt to eat here. We should have gone to Big Bowl. read more

If you can get the waitress to stop yapping with her boyfriend in the corner near the bar, it's a good place. Beer is good, food is good.......service 'zero stars'. After not seeing anyone asked the bartender where we could sit. She said anywhere and that she'd be right over. She never left the bar. Then I went back to ask if I ordered from her and she said yes and that our waitress would be right over too. Then after a while the girl I saw sitting at a table near the bar got up and slowly walked over to our table. Apparently she was our waitress. Rest of our stay she was slow and not attentive. I remarked to my dinner guest it almost seemed like they removed or bleached out any flavor. So I was disappointed in them. But the accompanying fries were tasty. I had the Cherry Pitstop beer which I enjoyed. Ditto on the nachos. We've eaten here before and the dishes were full of layers of decadent flavor on other visits, but these were equally bland and meh. Would not order either again. One of the hidden gems in Edina. The cheese curds are awesome and their black stout is great with it too! Kid friendly and vegetarian options are also available. The burgers are great or you can have a mix of tacos for lighter fare. They have a full bar if you're picky and also have craft beer, both local and imported. Plenty of parking, didn't give it a full five stars as service can be slow when the place is full but the staff is hands down friendly and truly truly their best. How to greet experience, we came in on a Saturday afternoon during the lunch hour, with a bit of a large group 8 adult adults, and three toddlers. One of my local favorites! I usually would get one of their burgers, so it was first time trying the tacos. The chicken tinga tacos were definitely a favorite, and the beef fajita taco was delicious as well. The tacos are good sized and double shelled. The blackened chicken caesar was refreshing, and I recommend their lemon vinaigrette! The inside is a converted filling station, so there is a lot of natural light and great appetizers too. They have a bar area, booths, and high tops for plenty of places to sit. They also have their own brewery beers! Our service is always extremely quick and everyone is so friendly! Stopped here this past weekend after a trip to the dog part. Patio is dog friendly they gave our pup a water bowl and a dog treat when we sat down. They have a decent beer selection. Very cool atmosphere knowing it was an old gas station. I had the Chipotle chicken wrap I thought it was decent not something mind blowing- also over priced. Met a friend for dinner during happy hour. The grilled chicken melt was delicious and though I'm not normally a beer drinker, the cherry pit lager was yummy and hit the spot. Located in the heart of Edina, Town Hall station is part of the broader "Town Hall Brewery" family of restaurants, with this iteration offering patrons some of Town Hall Brewing's custom beers with pub fare. It's interesting that how Tall Hall Station seems to have focused on things that would Instagram-worthy, mainly the atmosphere being fun and lively and colorful appetizers. However, the menu items themselves are very average. While not bad, they're not awe inspiring either and feel a little overpriced. When a friend and I visited, the restaurant was very busy, and clearly seemed to be a popular spot for locals to grab drinks and apps, which might explain why the main entrees are clearly getting the "back burner" treatment. Service was friendly, but very infrequent. Ample parking makes getting in and out a breeze. read more

Like other reviewers have said, the food isn't the best I've ever had, but it's still tasty and other aspects still would leave me recommending this place! We stopped by during happy hour, and fully embraced the deals. We got a stuffed pretzel to share and hubby had nachos (just $5 each!). We also tried some of their great beers for just $3.50. I was there on for lunch on Friday, the service was excellent! Our server was prompt, attentive and courteous. I had the fish and chips, they were OK. There were 3 small pieces of fish, the batter was too thick and parts were burnt, the fish inside was dry. The fries were fine, and so was the tartar sauce. Seeing a lipstick stain on our beer glass from a previous customer was disappointing, especially knowing from my own experience in food service that it shouldn't have been there if proper dishwashing had occurred. It made me wonder if they're really keeping things clean. However, kudos to our wonderful server; she was very helpful and polite. I don't blame her for this, but I believe management needs to, if necessary, conduct hygiene training once again. Mistakes do happen by humans, so it's alright.
