Stopped into the Narrows for lunch and a beer and had a good meal. I ordered the Avocado Ranch & Bacon Burger which was very good but almost impossible to eat with my hands due to everything slipping out. I also had a bite of the Shady Island Chicken Sandwich which was also good. The staff was nice and there was a good selection of beer. Worth a try if you're in the neighborhood.

Bar area - lots of taps!

This local pub has a great selection of beers on tap and some pretty good food too. The revolving tap list is on the chalk board. The food is better than average bar food. Great sandwiches, I tried the small plate reubens and they were delicious. They have daily specials which are also on the chalkboard. I think that they have live music here too. Definitely worth checking out.

The Narrows s a wonderful local bar that we are lucky enough to frequent since our boat slip is close by. It is a place where everyone knows each other, but even as non locals we feel very much at home. The people who work here and local patrons are wonderful. They have great live music (I believe every day except Monday), pull tabs, and a Sunday Morning Meat Raffle! The beer selection is solid.and we love their Bloody's on those early morning weekends. The food isn't spectacular, but very good. I love their burgers and haven't been disappointed. We have had breakfast here a few times and really like their Biscuits and Gravy as well as their Jalapeño Bacon. Great local place with much to offer. Give The Narrows a shot.

Good neighborhood bar and grill. Nice friendly atmosphere. Burgers are always good. Black and Blue one of my favorites. Fries are good too.

If you want to come here even relatively close to peak hours, I would highly recommend a reservation. My personal favorites here include the Rotisserie Chicken Sandwich and the Minute Chicken. I've gotten both items multiple times and they are consistently great. Do yourself a favor and get the Dessert Flight; the portions are more than fair for the price and the Banana Cream Pie is to die for. We recently did brunch at Hazelwood for the first time. The Monkey Bread is a generous size with a crispy outside and gooey center - exactly how you would want it to be. The Smoked Gouda Hash browns are worth getting on the side with any item that doesn't already include them; they are so creamy and have a rich cheesy flavor with a nice crispy top layer. Unfortunately, I would not recommend the Avocado Toast. The bacon bits, lettuce, and poached egg completely overwhelm the avocado, which is virtually nonexistent. It's served on a very small and boring piece of wheat toast.

When I questioned the hostess she said, "bring it on!" Service was very good because there were so few people there at the time but I could see how busy it got inside the restaurant after 5. At 4:00 you get the dinner menu. We had the chips and dip which it seemed everyone was having. They serve artisan pizza and we had the "Shrooms" pizza. We enjoyed both. The leftover pizza heated up perfectly 3 days later in the oven at home. Husband had the Old Shore Old Fashioned, which he said was "adequate." We are Old Fashioned snobs with The Noble Lion, Winchester and Rye and Hazelwoods winning first, second and third on our drink card. There seemed to be plenty of boat parking and we noticed many people picking up pizzas for their dinners on board. The lot was full of fancy cars when we left at 6 PM. It had gotten very busy. Our waitress was very sweet, but our food took quite a bit to come out to us. There weren't that many folks having lunch on a Friday afternoon when we were there. The chips and dip were great, but we needed more chips. The salad was also delicious and fresh, but on the smaller side. Both pizzas we had were yummy too, but didn't wow us for being in the $20 range. A true standout is their in-house pastries from their pastry chef. I am still dreaming about the eclair! I think I'd only lunch here, as the vibe v. price for dinner doesn't match up. The high price of the dinner menu doesn't jive with the lawn/patio chair furniture atmosphere. For that price, I want warm and cozy vibes. All in all, I am looking forward to visiting this place again next summer when it's more established.

I ordered the Eggs Benedict, and the eggs were overcooked, which unfortunately ruined the dish. When I mentioned it, the server agreed that it wasn't good, but the response came across as somewhat flippant rather than solution‑oriented. While I appreciate honesty, a more engaged approach--such as quality‑checking the dish before it left the kitchen or offering a quick replacement when the issue was identified early--would have gone a long way. Instead, the interaction made the situation feel awkward and left me uninterested in ordering anything else. Once a dish like Eggs Benedict is off, and the follow‑up feels dismissive, it tends to derail the entire experience. I'm sharing this as constructive feedback, as the restaurant seems to have potential, but stronger attention to quality control and guest recovery would greatly improve the overall experience.
