Great spot for burgers and best wings in the twin cities! Happy hour $10 wings. Bartenders are always friendly and parking is easy behind the bar.

You how you hype up a place in your mind for so long and then when you finally try it the hype fades? Well, that's how I felt about Nighthawks. I can say I enjoyed the whole energy and feel of this place. If I lived in the area I think would easily be a neighborhood spot. It definitely had that vibe about it. The dining room had bar area and combination of booths. Then the patio area was nicely enclosed from the street and adequately spaced seating. Our server was so friendly and polite. My friend and I decided to share and I am glad we did. Let me say, the pictures of Nighthawks' cheeseburger is something to salivate over. With such high expectations I was expecting a food explosion of juicy burger goodness. Unfortunately, that was not the case for me. Plus, the wings were a miss also. The Dry Rub Wings with aioli and Ranch similarly looked good but after a bite or two could tell it was flavored to the bone so I was just ok with the external nibbles.

Ok, so big burger guy, because being real who isn't.... I've wanted to come here since seeing pictures of the burger. It didn't disappoint at a solid 9.5/10. Crispy sides, not over cooked, onion, some amazing pickled cucumbers and a "sauce" to top it off. Only gripes were the burger patty sized piece of tomato that I took off and ate separate due to size limitations(I don't take points off for items I take off burger). And as an onion fan, I want an aggressive amount of onions. The wings were 9/10, light but flavorful spices. Perfectly cooked, and a fancy blue cheese and herb dressing. Can't believe I haven't heard of these before honestly. Solid tap list, great back patio with some reprieve from traffic noise. Fast service, and a great experience. Hard to believe how slow the place was for a Friday late lunch. Don't sleep on the Nighthawk.

    Nighthawk's take on the Rachel.

I ordered the Rachel with fries for takeout and was pleased! The heart of the sandwich is the generous cuts of baked turkey. It's covered with deliciously tangy Russian dressing that's happily married to sweet onions. A touch of thin carrot sticks accent the tanginess of the dressing and give a strong sandwich a hint more integrity. All of it is topped with swiss cheese that knows it's place and sustains the flavor harmony. The rye bread holds this package well. If you bring the sandwich home, the bread may soften from sitting a bit. No problem for me! The dressing-soaked bottom was a fantastic finish.  My shoestring fries were, ironically, a bit tough. Some people may like that. I prefer crunchy French fries with a strong potato profile.  The diner generally is one of my favorite American foodscapes. I just love the comfort food staples and the fact I can order breakfast day or night. Contemporary diners have begun to embrace our expanding American food community offering Latin American and southeast Asian dishes (no doubt shoehorned by the diner chefs who rep those cultures).  Nighthawks takes the basics: burgers, deli sandwiches, fish and chips and elevates them without being snooty about it. I'll definitely return to explore the menu! Maybe I'll see you there.

I've gone a few times to dine in and have gone 2x for to go wings during Covid. There's a consistency about the place... food is decent - good, service is decent as well. I may have gone 2x and had standout service, once was for a chicken pickup and the second was for brunch! Brunch girl wasn't attentive, but she was friendly and patient on a busy day. Bartender was full of customer service and kind when I came to pick up my order of wings that for some reason wasn't received by anyone and he gave me a coin-like thing for 1 free drink. I thought that was nice of him. I lost it, lol, but it was very thoughtful. I've had the pear salad here, brunch, breakfast, wings, fries and all you drink Mimosa's (more than 1 flavor). I enjoyed it all. I'll swing back thru there sometime.

First off, the service was great. We went there at 4:00p when it wasn't busy so maybe he gave us extra attention, but it was very enjoyable. The fries were handmade, and you could still see some of the potato skins! They were great, but the texture was not very crunchy. The best thing we ordered was the Guinness Beef Stew, however, after the first few bites, it was very overpowering. It's one of those, "this might be the best soup I've ever tasted" after the first bite, but you never finish the dish.

Solid bite and happy hour at nighthawks! I got the truffle fries (decent) and the crispy chicken sandwich (surprisingly good) and was more pleased than I anticipated!

Beautiful place, good food now under new owners, but wine pours are terrible esp given price.

We had no idea where to go, but heard to go down an alleyway behind up-down and then saw a random door that we had no idea was the entrance until another group came over! We knocked and they slid the door hole open to speak, it was so fun! Felt like a real speakeasy. Once we were in, we were seated in the back. There was an hour and 1/2 limit, but that was plenty of time for us to have a drink. I ordered the Me Espresso and my husband ordered the special of the day, which was a scotch with a special twist. Both were delicious! Definitely a little pricier, but the atmosphere made up for the cost. Overall I would definitely recommend! Next time we may wait for a booth to be served out of a window in the wall, did not know about that until we got there! Such a fun touch.

Luckily I had a reservation, or the guy behind the door acted like I wasn't getting in. I got a spot at the dimly lit bar right as the 1st set was starting. The band was fun; a 4 piece with Trombone lead. They were playing some jazz standards which was good for this crowd. The bartender was great. She made a couple unique drinks, including one off the menu called airmail, which was a version of a French 75. It was a great night all around, and I hope to make it back again while I'm in town.

I came here a few days ago during their "crabby hour" from 8-10 pm and we all each ordered our set of a truffle fries, a Granada slider, and a mahi mahi taco. The fries were incredible. They were super crispy, cooked perfectly and I love truffle with fries. The best part however was the aioli that came paired with it. It had a citrusy, umami flavor that was just so incredible I would have taken a whole jar home if I was able to. Absolutely perfect and can make any dish. The Granada slider was also awesome. It was bigger than I expected and included that wonderful aioli again, along with some greens, the patty, manchego cheese, and bacon. It was delicious and once again that aioli is just perfect and it was a much larger amount of food than I was expecting. I also had the mahi mahi taco as well which was good, but not my favorite. I'd probably try something instead of this again next time. Also, the staff is super funny and really awesome. We had Cassie (sorry if I got this wrong) and she was super kind, made a lot of jokes, and even gave us a tour of the theatre when we asked if we could take a peak to see what it looks like. Incredible service, we had a really great time with her. We all are definitely going to come back soon, and maybe even come for a show! But the food alone is worth a visit for sure in my opinion. I strongly recommend the Granada Slider and you have to get the truffle fries with the aioli. A side note the menu is a little confusing as they are transitioning menus so be patient as the staff have no control and the food is worth the confusion.

It had a 1920's art deco vibe which I love. We had a reservation but the host seemed to struggle to find it, almost even questioning the validity of it even though I showed her proof they texted confirmation. Thankfully they gave us a table right away anyways. The restaurant is attached to a theatre so it gets really busy prior to showtimes and the service becomes slow or non existent. At one point it even seemed that they forgot about us and the manger noticed so she made sure to get our food to us. The server later apologized and was very kind but I couldn't help but notice she took the time to chit chat with coworkers while we waited. When the theatre performance started it loudly traveled into the restaraunt through the walls. While it didn't bother me I can see how this may bother others. I'm actually glad we went because we learned about the theatre and would like to attend a show sometime. I just wouldn't recommend going to the restaraunt unless you are seeing a show there.

The two friends each only had one drink from the bar and were left retching, struggling to stay upright. They were completely knocked out by one drink, which was bizarre, concerning, and entirely out of character. Both woke up this morning with no hangover and a complete memory of everything that happened. One friend was discussing with a coworker whose daughter and friends had a similar experience a couple weeks ago. That woman also knows of another group of young women who have experienced this. This is not normal. There had to have been something dangerous and suspicious going on for multiple women to have the same terrifying experience. I do not recommend any woman visiting here and I will not be returning ever.

Disclaimer: THIS IS A REVIEW ABOUT THE RESTAURANT PORTION, NOT THE NIGHTCLUB PORTION. I hate to do…read morethis, but I need to get this out while it's fresh in my head. I finished eating here about 90 minutes ago and am quite disappointed. My friend and I were out hoping to get some burgers from Fremont on their $1.00 Burger Mondays, but they were closed due to a holiday party... so we saw this place and were familiar with the one downtown. We like the one downtown, so this one would be cool right? Wrong. I've also never eaten food from a Pourhouse either, only had drinks. I can see why. So we checked their menu and saw they offered a wing special on Mondays and were nearby so why not stop in, despite it having an average score of 2.5 stars on Yelp?! Here's how it went. Atmosphere/Appearance: This place looks SO NICE! Both the inside and out look so modern, well-decorated, clean, neat and like a place that would be fun to hangout in. They did a great job with that. This place is so huge and serves great as a nightclub on a busy weekend or college night. Restaurant seating is right in the middle of what seems to double as a huge dance floor that is right up against the bar. The ceiling stretches so high and you can see right up to the 2nd floor from all over. This place looks awesome and seems like it has MASSIVE potential for the night scene. Service: This is where things started to take a dive. Ezra was our lovely server, but that was kind of it. She looked nice, showed up, took our orders, smiled and that was really it. She didn't refill my water, didn't ask my friend if he wanted another drink, didn't check on us after our food showed up, NOTHING. Granted, she was the only one running the bar and the bar floor, but still... we needed things. No excuses as we are paying customers. She wasn't there. I had complaints, but I couldn't even tell her... because I don't think she cared. Moving on... Food: I'm a big guy with a huge palate and there isn't much food that I don't finish, but SURPRISE! Lol. I ordered 2 "buckets" of their wings. One good thing is that you can get 2 flavors per bucket. (It's actually not a bucket at all, but a nicely presented plate with celery, sauce and neatly organized wings, 10 of them to be precise. They were so overcooked. They weren't good. At all, but I was starving, so I ate. I tried their Peanut Sauce, Grand Mariner, P.H. Rub and Dry Ranch. They all were such a light flavor that I could hardly taste the difference between them, though the Grand Mariner was my favorite of the 4. I just wish, WISH the wings weren't cooked so freaking long! By the time I got to the last few I couldn't even eat them. They were so tough... like jerky, but hey... guess who wasn't around for me to let them know how I felt? You got it! Lol. Nah, it ain't that serious, I'm just being a jerk, but yeah... the wings weren't good. I don't ever plan on coming back here for the wings... though if they weren't cooked long enough I'm sure they'd be fine. Value: $5.00 for 10 wings. That's a freaking DEAL man! I was all over it! I'm just sad I didn't like what I experienced. Oh well, I shall lose no sleep over it, but I needed to get this out. Oh, let us not forget that this place charges 2.9% extra if you're using a card. Like, for real man? It's 2018! Lol. You don't find out about this until you get your bill and it says it WWAAYY at the bottom of the receipt. Lol. I mean, I guess. So you can either pay the 2.9% extra for using your card, use cash or get bent over by the ATM and its fees at the front door. You choose! In conclusion, I'll come here to party, possibly... not to eat. That's what this place is good for and it's made clear.
