This place is really really nice. It has great character and really great food. I had the Uncle Bryan Burger and it was delicious. The fries were hot and soft in the center. The service was quick and fast. This is a pub, but it's a great option for dinner or lunch.

Yummy food and good service, never have to ask for more water because they keep filling your cup!

A cozy pub in south Minneapolis serving classic fare from burgers, sandwiches and salads to fish and chips and more. I usually go for a burger but the steak sandwich was also calling to me on this visit with its blue cheese and caramelized onions. Since they don't take reservations I met a friend there for lunch just as they opened at 11:30 on a frosty Monday. There was a steady steam of folks coming in shortly thereafter.

This restaurant has been on my list to try for a long time and I am so glad we found the time to finally experience it. The customer service was excellent. The host was funny and witty. The food was phenomenal. We tried the onion dip appetizer and it was full of flavor and the oven baked bread with it was a perfect complement to the dip. I tried the fish and chips and it came out steaming hot and was some of the best fish and chips I have ever had. The blood orange hard seltzer was also delicious. I am glad I found a new one I like. Everyone at the table tried something different and not one person went home hungry or disappointed. Everyone raved about how good the food was. The waiter went above and beyond. Even with it being bus he was on top of refilling the waters at the table. The restaurant is quant. Kind of reminds me of a new version of an English pub. We will be back to try something new soon.

Steak Sandwich was phenomenal: filet mignon, caramelized onions, Amablu cheese and horseradish cream.

What a gem of a place that we found from Yelp suggestions. My guy and I sat at the bar had phenomenal food (steak sandwich - a must try!), good drinks and an enjoyable time. Everyone was friendly and helpful and you could tell customers were a mix of regulars and newbies like us. We'll definitely stop by again if in the area.

Glad I was able to cross this off of my bucket list! There is street parking nearby. The space itself is small, so if going at dinner time there may be a bit of a wait. There is a small bar and thankfully we were able to snag some seats at the bar shortly after arriving so we skipped waiting for a table. It is a tad dim in the restaurant, but the vibes are cozy and warm. We started with the Bacon & Onion dip and it was DELICIOUS. It was creamy and savory, and made for the perfect appetizer! For an entree I got the Beef Rib Toastie with fries. The fries were very good and reminded me of my grandmas! The sandwich was tasty with cheddar, onion, arugula and horseradish cream. Personal preference- I'd probably get it without the arugula next time. Overall great experience and would go back!

I meet three high-school buds every other month and it was my turn to pick a restaurant. I picked George and the Dragon. A cozy neighborhood bar restaurant. I walked in and was surrounded by families who had walked over to the 50th and Lyndale spot. Nice feeling!! Service was super friendly and timely. Food was above average bar food. I had the Asian Hangover . It was delicious. Great apps. All four of us loved our entrees. I definitely recommend George and the Dragon!!

Low key place, decent food. Music plays low as ambiance drowning conversations. It's not a big place but you can seat at bar and order food. The bartender was very knowledgeable of menu and "today's specials". He's very clear when communicating and asks questions back. He was very efficient serving drinks with a friendly demeanor. It's located near a busy stores strip with stores like Anthropologie, free people, loft vintage, and the sort. Food is good just not enough of it. Husband stayed hungry. Would I recommend? Yes, for drinks and appetizers.

Great place! Really great food and they actually work to curate their beer selection - we had the local Falling Knife Verbal Tip Hazy IPA - yum! Not a single tap wasted on "lawn mower beer"! The bacon onion dip is always amazing! And the service was great!!

There are reasons you should make reservations for a weekday lunch Great food. Some familiar like great burgers and stunning fries. Some less familiar like Asian Hangover. Excellent drinks like fresh mad lemonade and really nice beers Service was also great with fun staff. The decor is also super comfortable And pricing was very reasonable. In a world of $12 meals at McDonald's, $15 to $20 of such quality is a deal Definitely on the list to return too

This place is fantastic! It's chill pub vibes with delicious, satisfying food and refreshing beers in the big mugs! We went for my boyfriend's birthday and had a great time! Our server was wonderful and even gave him a birthday card signed by the staff and a small percentage discount to our meal! Would totally recommend if you're looking for a cozy, fun atmosphere with comfort food!

We had dinner here a few weeks ago on a Wednesday evening. Street parking was pretty full but we only needed to walk a block. It was 7:30 and we did not have a reservation. We were told it would be over 30 minutes so we wandered into the gift store next store and checked back in 20 minutes and our table was ready. We all loved our dishes, and we were glad we did not skip dessert because the key lime was some of the best I've had outside of Florida. Great service, fun pub atmosphere, and stellar food.

Do you serve breakfast?

We do not. We only serve lunch and dinner 6 days a week. Monday through Saturday. Thank you for your inquiry.

Do you have gluten free options?

We do have options. We take all allergies and dietary restrictions very seriously. Because of this it is better to go over the options in person. We do not carry a gluten free bread however as there would be no way for us to toast the breads without… Read more

Do you have a party room that could host a baby shower for couples, and what menu would be available?

Unfortunately, we do not. We just have our main room for our dining options. Thank you for your inquiry.

Do they still do the Sunday roasts lunch?

We are closed on Sundays now. We used to do the Sunday roasts for our Sunday brunch service, but stopped our Sunday brunch a few years ago. Thank you for the inquiry

We had a fantastic Saturday lunch here!…read more First of all, the parking: parallel parking must be done on the surrounding streets. We lucked out to find a parking spot very close, and the restaurant wasn't even busy when we were there. I can only imagine parking is quite a challenge at busier times of day. We had a cozy booth. I had a view of the streetside windows and the dining room. Music was at a pleasant low volume in the background--we had no trouble talking and listening to each other. Our server, Lali, took good care of us. We were never left wanting and empty dishes were cleared promptly. Everything came out at an ideal pace, too. My husband had a beer from on tap. I was very happy that they had a couple kinds of cider, so I had one from Minneapolis Cider. We ordered poutine as our appetizer. It was fantastic, and a massive serving! My husband had the brisket philly for his entree; brisket is one of those meat cuts that is tricky to get right, as it easily gets too dry, but the cook absolutely perfected it. I had the smoked trout and greens bowl, which was no only delicious, but was also a feast for the eyes. I have never had trout prepared like this before, only salmon, and this dish was quite special. Just a wonderful place. I can see why it is so highly reviewed.

We tried the poutine and a barbecue platter to share. Both were good and I loved the juicy BBQ chicken, but the poutine was notable because there was tons of beef as well as the gravy, cheese curds and all on top of really good fries. Our food came out super fast and hot, and my glass of House Cabernet for eight dollars was a generous poor and a nice wine. There's plenty of street parking in the blocks around this area, and there is a cute bookstore as well as a sustainable goods shop that you should definitely check out across the street. I would love to come back here again!
